Review Donut Bomb - Liverpool

K Y
Donuts were okay at best. As you can see in the pictures I got a pretty big donut expecting it to live up to its name- donut bomb. It hardly blew me away in fact it completely destroyed my appetite for donuts. I was looking forward to having the gooey centre ooze out but the centre is literally the size of a 20 cent coin and the majority of the donut is just... dough.. well duhh but still was expecting a little more. To be fair I’ll try this place again in the future.

A bit extra waiting time for order. No Consistency in freshness of doughnuts. Good coffee. A bit small space for family visit. Krispy Kreame nearby.

Friendly staff with a variety of different desserts on offer, each more tasty than the last. While the shakes are definitely worth a try, they are a meal on their own; so make sure you've got the room to have one PLUS dessert. While the seating is all outdoors, there is a roof over it so it does stay quite cool, and despite it being next to the road it doesn't get as noisy as you'd expect.

Couldn't disagree more with some of the reviews. We have been to here at least 10 times. Had everything from donuts, to doffle stacks, to the smash packs and have been in love with all of it. Great doffle and donut holes. The donuts are huge and fluffy and the filling is amazing. Definitely would recommend their smash packs or doffle stacks. Go out side the box!

I went to Donut Bomb when they first opened. Their customer service was poor, food is ridiculously priced for the quality you get, their shakes did not taste like the flavours we ordered, I threw up after eating and when I wrote my review on their Facebook page and also questioned why they did not announce any winners on their page (50 people to win a donut as an opening offer or something like that) they immediately turned reviews off.

If i could give zero stars i would. I asked if the doughnuts were fresh and the lady assured me they were. Unfortunately they were not and tasted like day old doughnuts.. a waste of $20.. i won't be back ever. I suggest going to KK around the corner.

Delicious and creative menu! Friendly staff and atmosphere. In love with the pancakes, cronuts and milkshakes at this place. Hands down the best milkshakes in sydney 😍🙌🏼 I look forward to visiting again!

If your looking for freshly made donuts, look elsewhere.

My first experience was great! I loved it. When I returned for the second time and realised they now do dinner, I was there for dessert. I ordered the same item of the menu as what I had the first time and it was horrible!! Didn’t taste anything like the first time i visited. I don’t rate this place at all. it was horrible and I will not be returning. This place started off as a dessert bar and should have stayed like that.

Talk about the American food vibe. So unique and delicious. The shakes were just WOW! it’s a must try. A must try to eat is the chicken on the waffles. So much flavour.

A great spot to fulfil your sweet tooth. Aside from the delicious sweets, the fried chicken with the donut is also amazing! Their shakes are also crazy proportion, will definitely fill your tummy for sweet cravings :)

Donut Bomb is an inviting eatery in the unlikeliest of places - a bright yellow shipping container in the parking lot of The Grove Homemaker Centre in Liverpool. On arrival, we were warned to leave our diets at the door, and that we did!. We decided to go both savoury and sweet, and were definitely treated to the best of both worlds!

Delicious donuts, waffles and pancakes! I love the mixture of fruits, pretzels and ice cream it is served with. I’m especially a big fan of their milkshakes 🙌🏼 My favourite dishes from their menu have to be their pancakes and mint chocolate milkshake. Absolutely perfect for summer.

Seriously, the chicken was amazing! So much flavouring I was impressed! If you are a lover of chicken and sweets, you need to check out the place.

It’s easy to find parking and the staff are so nice!
We ordered 3 meals and you pay for what you get. The plates are huge! We didn’t even finish it as a family.

I can’t wait to go back and try out the rest of the menu

Images of incredible looking donut desserts have been popping up in our facebook feed a lot lately. These delicious looking creations are from Donut Bomb, an all-donut cafe in Liverpool. Their donuts look totally decadent on a computer screen, so we just had to head out there to indulge in a little weekend treat - brace yourselves for an explosion of yum!

The oreo donut was quite interesting. The icing had a condensed milk taste to it and the donut was soft. Overall, pretty good and would try again.

However, the nutella donut had no fillings on the inside. It was a hole with a slight dot of nutella. It tasted like any other nutella donut.

Altogether, both donuts costs $9, which is a little pricey.

If you got a sweet tooth this is the place for you! Nice out door setting, desserts were heavy but just hit the spot, well priced. If you get a thick shake get one to share! It’s big enough for 2 people

Girl on registers was rude when asked how long the wait was. Donut was dry and tough even when waiting for 1hour to receive it. Would not recommend this place.

Waited 1 hour for my donuts. Don’t waste your time and money.

Owner was rude when asked for how long the wait was and people after me received their food first.

Diabetes on a plate. Tasty as hell thought and very generous! There was only one poor guy holding up the fort but he was very friendly and apologetic. Great service. The snack packs are definitely worth the money although I’m not sure about an $8 donut.

Snickers Smash Pack : 😍 Amazing
Strawberry Pistachio Doffle : 😍 Amazing
Peppermint Shake : 😊Good

Awesome place to satisfy a late night dessert craving. The smash packs, even the small ones, are quite fulfilling. The Strawberry Pistachio Doffle was absolutely amazing ! It was warm and fluffy and the addition of the fresh strawberries and ice cream was just enough to finish it off. The peppermint shake wasn’t as minty as I had hoped but it was still delicious.

Cute little donut place serving donuts out of a refurnished storage container. Loved the twists they did on regular donuts e.g. the waffle donut on a stick (well named the doffle). Service was very friendly. However I found the donuts and doffle were a bit sweet to my liking but do come here if you have a sweet tooth. Milk shakes were pretty good too!

Paid $8 for a single donut and $12 for a milkshake. For out of this world prices I expected a lot. Instead I was left disappointed. Dough was tough and tasteless. Donuts at donut king tastes even better. Won't be returning.

Was expecting soft fluffy pancakes, got hard rubbery texture. Was disappointed. The pre-made ones you buy from the supermarkets taste better.
Was here awhile ago but only.now writing a review.

The donuts are as you would expect- extremely sweet. A bit pricey but great place for to go every once in awhile.

Customer service was great. When I was there a lady on the other table didn't finish her baklava shake. The staff asked if she liked it or not. She replied it wasn't to her taste. The staff offered her a free replacement drink.
AMAZING!! Went with a group of 10. Service was friendly, staff were attentive. Loved the trendy setting with undercover seating, music playing, was really enjoyable. Nutella milkshakes were the BEST i've ever had, a lot better than Tella Balls. The doffles were soooo good it's a donut Waffle on a stick. The donuts were fresh and soft, my partner loved them. He tried the Original Glaze (these were bigger and better than Krispy Kreme!) and the Nutella and Gaytime were to die for! Definitely will be back weekly 😋

Set in the heart of the Grove in Liverpool, this little store brings to life a disused storage container with sweet donut goodness. We arrived for an early breakfast start as soon as they opened and was greeted by one of the lovely owners. We were seated looking through the donut filled menu and we made our morning selection.

They don’t call themselves Donut Bomb for nothing. The donuts from Donut Bomb are definitely the bomb!
As I really want to indulge big time, I ordered the Donut Tower. Oh wow! Love everything about it. The taste of the actual donuts are so good. All that I expected from good donuts. Perfect in size, thickness and bounciness :)
The Belgian chocolate and chocolate fudge mix together harmoniously. Thick and indulgent with the perfect amount of sweetness. And the chocolate flavour in the ice cream is distinctively delicious.

Cute little place with a wide range of different desserts, great customer service & delicious food. Good value for money. I would definitely go back there again to eat!

This newly opened pop-up is so damn fine!Worth the trek out to Liverpool for sure. The donuts taste amazing, but the donut stacks are so incredible and definitely perfect to share.I recommend the Strawberry Pistachio Stack which had that fresh strawberry element to cut through the sugar! Perfect place for dessert night with friends or family :)

The Golden Gaytime Donut and the Nutella one were just delicious! The Shakes I mean need i say more??? The Oreo one is a must order, and I also enjoyed the Peppermint one :PHuge Shakes meant to share!A very family friendly place, with special themed nights! And if you pop by with the kids on Halloween they will be giving out little goodie bags!!Adam the manager is amazing, and you can tell he loves his job and socializing with all the locals.Lovely to see venues run by such lovely wholesome people.

Unfortunately we couldn't get service on the day that we arrive to try out the donuts. With customers already enjoying their donuts we decided to wait at the counter for service and waited and waited. Maybe be bit more attentive to your front counter. Donuts look alright tho.

Do you have a sweettooth?🥞🍫🍬🍭 If you are like me and always craving for dessert and sugar hit you should definitively give a try to this place.
It is located near a mall so there is always plenty of car space around. They have quite a lot of oustside table which is perfect to enjoy your treat.
We tried few of their meal but my favourites were the french donut toast with strawberries🍓🍓 and maple syrup. Just perfect. This is a new way to have frznch toast and it works perfectly.
The secobd one was the banoffee🍌 and caramel doffle (such a good invention that is a donut waffle). I am a huge fan of caramel and bananas and this one is so tasty.
And if you are a chocolate/ nutella lover you can really fibd something you like there.
And do not forget to try their milshakes it is just insane 😙!!!
Just come with an empty stomach as the portion are huge ( not the price) !!

I was extremely excited when I found out that donut bomb was in orange grove!! Headed down one Wednesday night and absolutely loved it! Service was fantastic and the whole concept was unreal!! I tried the white choc macadamia caramel double doffle on a stick... HOLY MOLY! Waffle style donuts on a stick are definitely my "style"! It had white Belgian chocolate, crushed macadamia nuts and caramel sauce drizzled. Sweet Neptune! Heavennnnn!! Definitely a must try!!

I was really looking forward to trying Donut Bomb after seeing all the Facebook posts & photos. Unfortunately I was left $40 out of pocket and disappointed. I ordered the French toast donut with maple syrup - it was heavily laced with golden syrup, which made it sickly sweet. My mocha had not a hint of chocolate, my companions hot chocolate tasted like warm milk. Massive improvement needed😡

Sweetest invite to date! Service was great, donuts were great & shakes were even better! What more can a girl ask for?! Definitely recommend trying out the newly opened Donut Bomb!

For all the sweettooth dessert lovers, look no further! Donut bomb has all your cravings packed into their donut centred dessert constructions and decadent milk shake that comes with a wide selection of flavours.

There is outdoor seating that is convenient and easily accessible! Their dessert is decadent and definitely a great way to end your main meal!

Came to donut bomb for an incredible feed, and did not leave disappointed! The cafe is smack bang in the middle of a home makers shopping parking area in a trendy shopping container, what a way to spend a Sunday!

We ordered a doffle stack and a doffle stick, both warm doughnuts made into a waffle! The salted caramel doffle stack was extremely tasty with ice cream and bananas, and the Oreo chocolate stick was rich, but extremely satisfying.

Whilst the baklava milkshake lacked any real baklava flavour, it was pretty delicious. The owner took us through the concept and idea for the cafe and it’s crowdfunding. Really enjoyed the cafe and the cheat meal!

Sensational dessert range...kaboom!! donut bomb indeed!!! Was on a sugar high for the rest of the day...had the kanafeh shake, donut tower, strawberry and cream doffle and vanilla malt shake....only regret is the calorie counting.

I was expecting a full dining in experience, I was disappointed to see that I had to order at the counter and food was served in takeaway plates and cutlery.
The menu prices was a little on the expensive side considering the over the top delicious range and the takeaway atmosphere.

Home of the "doffle" - donut waffle, which is a nice heart warming treat but not amazing. The donuts aren't amazing, but good. Being local is where the points come in. Being around the South West there isn't many places to visit to satisfy the sweet tooth and Donut Bomb can do just that.

Donuts fell short of an explosion in your mouth.

Donut Bomb opened their first flagship store at The Grove, Liverpool. They are located in the car park with some seating available at the front. Donut Bomb offers a variety of desserts to satisfy your sweet tooth from doughnuts, french toast, shakes and ice cream.

I came here on their grand opening day expecting a large crowd as there seemed to be some hype around it opening its first flagship store in Sydney. They opened from 7am so I got early specifically to beat the expected crowds but was surprised that it was dead quiet and I think I was their first customer. They were still setting up and starting to fill their shelves with doughnuts so I couldn't see what was on offer. They didn't have cronuts, yet to be delivered. I was disappointed as I am still on the hunt for the best cronut. It would have been good to have seen photos of the menu items as I tend to eat with my eyes so I just had to go on my instinct and what sounded nice and made my order from that.

I ordered a 4 doughnut pack comprising of a strawberry glazed doughnut with shredded coconut, baklava, chocolate glazed doughnut filled with custard and a macadamia doughnut. I also ordered french toast with cream, blueberries and syrup and a strawberry milkshake. It was a bit on the pricey side but I still wanted to give it a try. I waited a long time as they were a bit disorganized being their first day, a lot of the staff were standing outside chatting.

With its name and the rave reviews on Donut Bomb, I was expecting a delicious explosion in my mouth but was thoroughly disappointed. They were okay, not delicious nor moreish, just okay and definitely no explosion of flavors or taste. They were soft but a bit dense, not as soft as their competitor, Krispy Kreme nor as sickenly sweet. We struggled to finish it over the next couple of days. Baklava on its own is yummy but so wrong on a doughnut. The strawberry doughnut was simply a plain doughnut covered with strawberry glaze with shredded coconut, nothing special. The custard in the chocolate glazed doughnut was nice, not overly sweet. The macadamia doughnut was nice as it gave the doughnut a nice texture. Nothing stood out for me for the doughnuts.

On the other hand, the French toast and shake were nice. The French toast was yummy, soft and when eaten with the cream, syrup and blueberries that looked like they were on steroids was a flavor explosion in my mouth. The shake wasn't very sweet, just right and the way I like it.

Verdict: French toast and strawberry shake worth a try, can't say much about the doughnuts. Don't know if I will be back to try the rest of the menu.
