I'm in the middle of my meal and has to give this review. I hadn't eaten since 5am and had quite the appetite to satisfy. I couldn't decide what I wanted due to everything looking grouse. Ended up with the big breakfast. I had doubts but my eyes lit up with ancipation yet concern as I don't think I can finish what was on the plate! The food was fresh, delicious, NOT greasy and lots of it to try and finish lol. Friendly staff, grouse service, mint food. Take your mrs here for a morning on your CC as it'll make anyone's day. 10/10 will be back

Had an amazing birthday brunch here. Great fresh food, great service. Lots of staff, quick order at the counter and we did not have to wait long at all for our food to arrive. Definitely a hidden gem, wish I knew about this place sooner. Looking forward to coming back to try more on the menu!

Great service, great food, great atmosphere. I stuffed up and ordered something I couldn’t eat. The staff were so kind to quickly swap it out for something else with no fuss at all. Totally recommend this cafe.

As a vegan and used to regular smashed on toast for breakfast when I go out with friends was highly impressed when they made me a 'vegan big breakfast'. It was huge and I loved it. Thank you!!

Some places have good food, some good coffee and some brilliant staff. It is rare to find a cafe that has all three. ST Cocos is a triple threat cafe. Excellent coffee, excellent food and excellent staff. Keep up the good work.

We were up last week from Melbourne and a friend mentioned St Coco to us, we went for breakfast and the food and coffee were fantastic. Good thing we purchased a house within walking distance as this will be our new local in 12 months time and we couldn’t be happier. Friendly staff, great food and absolutely wonderful coffee. Thank you.

I was in a rush to go back to my office this morning so drove to this nearby cafe for a morning take-away coffee.
I could not remember what type of bean that it serves for my previous visits but I am sure that I serves the Wolff coffee this time. Honestly, this brew is one of my favourites; together with the good pouring technique of the barista, this is an impressive take-away coffee👍

It's been almost three years since St Coco opened & I have been many times. Coffee & service is consistently good. Coffee is always well presented & is a very smooth blend, always order a double shot in a small cup & strength for me personally is spot on.

Lovely little cafe, can be quite crowded and cramped during busy periods. Didn't enjoy breakfast first time I went there - was a bit dry and dull tasting. However, second time definitely made up for it - best Acai bowl I've ever had! Staff are very friendly and service is great.

I love going to St Coco's with the family for our weekly/ fortnightly brunch. The cafe is dog-friendly, with plenty of outdoor seating and free water for the pups. My dog really enjoys the pup icecream and pupcakes on offer. There are plenty of vegan options on offer, my favourite being the avo on toast (smashed and whole, with minted peas, greens, and vegan ricotta), and the sweet potato taco (seriously good with a squeeze of lemon). I would also recommend requesting the vegan option for the poached pear and bircher muesli (really filling, can probably share between 2!). Also plenty of vegan drinks on offer, including plant-based milks for coffee)

Love this little gem in Shailer Park. Had the big breakfast, which was kindly split in half! Service like this means a lot to me and it means that I have stomach space for a drink!

Service was super friendly by every staff member I had interaction with. Food & drinks were top notch, with a perfect poached egg 👌🏻

Have been here a few times, will be back again!

In summary, food and coffee was awesome but service was debatable.

Food:
Had the big breakfast, with an additional pork sausage. Food was awesome. Bacon wasn’t overdone it was juicy. Poached eggs was perfectly done. Generous portion. Coffee was good too.

Service:
So we went as a group of 6. We booked a table and told them we are bringing dogs. 6 humans and 2 dogs. Firstly, we were given a table inside the cafe and dogs are not allowed to be inside. So okayy.. we understand that it was a rainy day. Was just drizzling so not that bad. We sat down, the boys with dogs stood outside with the pups.

When some people left, we asked if we change tables to sit at bar. At the bar, the people with dogs can sit outside while the rest of us can sit on the inside. It’s kind of through the wall. Wish I could explain better. Well, the lady we asked gave us a blatant NO and that she just sat a couple down. But we asked before she did that... and it was just two people. I’m sure if we asked politely they would have understood the situation. Unfortunately, she did not bother. Finally another table by the door left and we asked to change to that instead.

As much as I understand that they are busy, and the cafe is crowded, I really wish they could be more helpful and understanding.

Food was amazing, came out in a timely manner, and as some would say is highly 'instagramable'
Portion sizing could be a little bigger for the pricing

The design and layout of the cafe is simple, but well executed, with large open windows to allow lots of natural lighting

The staff were very friendly and helpful when my friend spilt her milk on the floor

All in all, I would definitely visit again

TL;DR: Quirky, but solid and audience pleasing second chapter from the smart girls behind Hallowed Grounds. With a good outlay, a menu that is fresh but also tasty and inventive, and a little bit hidden from the main stretch of town, St. Coco's does deserve to be given a go.

Nestled in the backstreets of Daisy Hill, right in possibly one of the last places one would expect to look, the sheer hype and praise of St. Coco goes to show that no matter where it is, when the news is good enough for the locals to seek it out, it does not stay hidden for long. That is especially when the crew behind it have already struck success, that only adds more to the intrigue. The challenge is for it to get its own identity, yet still be recgonisable as being in the same vein as before - here, they have succeeded.

The house had just been emptied on the dawn of the weekend, which meant a return to form regarding the usual schedule. One of the biggest parts of this return of normalcy meant getting back into finding new places for either breakfast or lunch during the Sundays of the weekend and it is safe to say there is quite a range of them to seek out. Two big ones were on the horizons in my house mate's eyes, one of them being this neat little find right in the center of the much under-rated, and rich gem of a gourmand haven, Logan - particularly Logan Central.

One of the big factors that was getting the two of us excited for here was that it was headed by the same duo who have managed Hallowed Grounds, which does one of the greatest coffees within the general southern area of town. That is a rare case where the quality of the coffee is not the only notable aspect about it, but also aesthetics and ambiance; this was especially a challenge - for Hallowed Grounds - being right on a stretch of main road. Through smart marketing, and good customer service to this day it manages to be packed each weekend. Luck has managed to strike twice for the lucky sisters, since St. Coco right here is able to rest comfortably alongside the original location, getting a good solid base of delicious fare, a good outlay, and service which is efficient.

When critiquing - or more so - describing a place for its choice of interior, part of it is all up to chance and placement within the town. Here, it must have been a big shot of luck for the managers when they were searching for a new site. The coordinates on the map led us to the local IGA, which afterwards also had the sign pointing that it was there. Upon going in, at first neither of us could find it and a few minutes were spent walking back and forth on the road until after going back to the junction of shops, I noted it out of the corner of my eye. It is across on the other side of the carpark, and might have once being a garage, a garden shed or something, which was apparent from the skeleton outlay of the place. This helped with its characteristic aesthetic and layout, something which would not have been so possible if it were another shop in the aforementioned junction.

St. Coco does pretty well with the design and aesthetics. The whole shop space area is pretty spacious, and inside with the seating is quite comfortable. Much of what helps for this is the ergonomics, with plenty of space and a nice through-flow of air, when it is a warm day with some wind, it could really cool down the clientele. Several plants littered around the place give it a fresh scent, and using the shop front for al fresco dining helps add a more communal appearance to this already well-designed location.

Overall, I rate the service as pretty fine. The moment you walk in the door, it does not take them long to guide you to a seat. It is a little lackluster, as they more or less point, but it still gives that welcoming vibe to make yourself comfortable. The timing is pretty right between seating the customers, getting the coffee orders, and then bringing it to the table. That latter part is being partial literal, since this is service that is faster than normal and they cook it all pretty fresh. What also is good about the service is the way the young women glide around the tables, possibly looking for all the small touches to do including clearing the tables. Just short of being memorable, they could occasionally go up to clients and ask them how the meal is doing; nothing too big or significant, however that touch definitely shows they care about what the clients think of the meal.

When it comes to their food, presumably they change it according to the seasons and with what is available at the time. At the time of writing, the breakfast menu is still fairly standard as far as it goes. There are the classics here and there, though they pull out a notable number of twists and takes on other classics along with an occasional dish of their own. Jump to lunch time, and it is mostly twists on some of the cafe standards including a pasta dish, burgers et al. In addition to that, at least as far as this visit is concerned, there are further specials on the front page, so that means that they have several bases covered and should please most people.

Going on to their drinks, they have quite the variety in addition to that. The first one to notes is the coffee, which is sourced from the Wolff Coffee Roasters. Through this they have several modes of preparing coffee, starting with the usual espresso and extending to filter, cold drip, V60 and nitro-infused cold brew. Going away from the coffee, they also have loose leaf tea, freshly squeezed juices and both milkshakes and smoothies. All of that will just as much satisfy as the food range does.

Getting onto the breakfast, the first things first was drink orders - and that meant getting some coffee. Upon seeing that filter coffee was available, that was my order. There were a couple of options there, and I can't remember which one I ended up with, but regardless of that fact, the texture was smoother and cleaner than espresso often is, there were noes of berries in the beans, with a slightly astringent after-taste occasionally. The serving size was good, and the temperature was pretty mild. This is the kind of coffee that slowly perks you up.

As for the breakfast item, it had to be the bratwurst Benedict. Let's just say that if nothing is added onto it - like I would often get bacon - then it had to sound too good not to try out. With this breakfast, it sounded very German. Think of sliced bratwurst that was poached and then pan-fried, with the additions of red cabbage sauerkraut, poached eggs, and a mustard-based hollandaise sauce on rye bread ... that was basically it. The sausages were plump and plentiful, the hollandaise sauce had that definite distinct taste that mustard has, the eggs were plump and bled well, plus the caramalised sauerkraut added another unusual note to the well put-together meal. That all on top of solid, well toasted bread proved itself to be one worthy take on the breakfast classic.

In giving this a 4.0 rating, this is one of the most solid and well deserved ones so far in being given that distinction, where they have done enough to distinguish themselves, along with the follow through of making good quality foods, and most of the right aspects are done on point. It might still lack a couple of essential aspects here and there, which includes the service - again, was not bad but could have been fine tuned to truly resonate - and maybe up the presence a little more, since this time around they definitely have an advantage.

With all being said and done there, this was definitely a return to from when going out for breakfast. For once they had focused well on the quality of the food, making sure that the transition between ordering and getting the fare on the table was practically seamless, and they are certainly doing something right as the place began filling up more and more near the end of the meal. Even if I don't agree with the consensus - as it happens sometimes - I will still see to it why, and this time around I definitely agree that it is as popular as it should be, and can see why it is so apparent.

A real find in the burbs. You may be in a car park, but once inside it's a funky fit out, delicious food, excellent coffee with heaps of options, and friendly attentive service. Sliders, pork bun and chips all excellent.

Southside Gem! Vibrant vibe, family friendly, dog friendly and service is very friendly! The brathwurst breakfast is definitely a must! However the special for this weekend which was duck croquet is beautiful as well. Most of the dishes I have tried are so tasty and filling. Coffee beans they use for their coffee is definitely different BUT amazing! On Saturday and Sunday morning are normally very busy and might require waiting time BUT all great cafe always has a queue so there's nothing new about that but you'll never regret it!

We met for an extended family birthday breakfast at this cafe - 17 adults and 3 babies- and the staff were amazing, the food was really fantastic and reasonably priced and the air conditioning was a bonus on this hot day. I would have thought such a big group would have been challenging for the staff but they certainly didn't show it. They could not have been more friendly, helpful and obliging. Was my first visit but I highly recommend this cafe.

Lovely little place! nice decor, fresh, open, airy. The food was delicious and they allowed me to order a meal that is usually not available after 11.30am, but due to having food allergies it was the best option for me. It was the St Coco Hash Browns and I loved it!. My partner had the Brisket Tortillas which he demolished along with his rich and dark long black coffee with an excellent aroma. The staff were also very friendly and helpful. We will most definitely be back and plan on bringing some family there for lunch.

Ordered the big breakfast and st coco's hash browns for our first time here. It was very busy and our food arrived quite a long time after our coffee. The food itself was very well done and the eggs were perfectly poached. One thing I found was that the potato rosti was too fried and did not have enough of the soft potato inside which was delicious from the small amount I had. The coffee was the standout for me and prices were reasonable for what you get.

I had lunch a St Coco with some friends today and we are all glad that we stumbled across this small cafe. I ordered the Acai bowl and my partner ordered the lamb kebab. The food was very tasty but a little on the pricey side. There is a great selection of raw treats and assorted coffees. This place is also dog friendly.

Came to visit St Coco for lunch after hearing that the girls from hallowed grounds had opened it. Cafe was very busy and seemed popular already. Food was a little on the expensive side, but was worth it! We ordered the chicken sliders and iced lattes. Everything came out very quickly, was presented beautifully and super delicious. Lots of vegan and gluten free options, really enjoyed it and will be coming back to try breakfast!

Thought I would update my review to make this cafe a 5. I am currently on maternity leave so have frequently been visiting this cafe. They have been so accommodating to me and all that comes with having a new baby - space for a pram, a more private table to feed and even a cup of hot water so I can warm a bottle. Not only is the service fantastic but the food is delish and caters to my lactose free Husband (Although often has a sneaky almond croissant because they are soooo yum!).

We've also had a large group eat here for breakfast and there was not one complaint amongst 12 people.

St Coco is officially my local. I have not one bad thing to say about the place and would recommend it to anyone.

Finally things are moving forward in Daisy Hill/Springwood with the introduction of another great local cafe. Good coffee, fresh food and lots of lactose free options as this cafe caters for Vegans. Good atmosphere, dog friendly. This cafe is rivaling Extraction for my top local. I will return for sure - regularly.

Really pretty place with friendly service and nice food. All the food is beautifully presented. My fellow mom friends have lots of dietary restrictions because if their little ones and they contacted them in advance and were able to tweak menu items. The communication was relatively quick via Facebook.

High chairs available. Couldn't see change tables though there are toilets nearby. There's a little bit of space for prams but may need to leave larger ones near the front where there's space.
