Sorry about the half a pizza photo but when the pizzas arrived there was no time to pause! THE best pizza we’ve ever eaten. Bingo Bango? Yes it was. I’d drive from Brisbane to Lorne for these pizzas alone!
being the highest rated restaurant in lorne
I HAD TO TRY!
the pizzas from pizza pizza is okay, 🤷🏻♀️ maybe in Lorne it’s something special but coming from Melbourne you can find these kinda pizzas at any restaurant these days bigger and less expensive
They were also really busy, the wait was about 20 minutes but that wasn’t a big issue as they kept us entertained with their open window!
We ordered:
🍕 the Bingo Bango
🍕 Prosciutto
They were both delicious I appreciated the chilli on the bingo bango 🤤
Like I said it didn’t leave me 🤯 and wouldn’t make the trip down to lorne for it 🤷🏻♀️
(sorry about the photo it’s a screenshot from my boomerang)
Absolutely love this pizza place, we always make sure to pick up pizza from them whenever we’re in Lorne - never disappointed, and the kids love watching them make the pizzas through the window. Will be back soon
Consistently awesome pizzas with a great thin crust. We can’t wait to have them each year we come here camping. Especially love the Bingo Bango.
One of the best pizzas we’ve ever had. Crispy base and fresh ingredients. Amazing gluten free base as well. Friendly staff. Will definitely be back.
OK hands down the best pizza restaurant by far in Victoria I was here last weekend with a few friends it’s a very small but unique pizza restaurant, the staff were friendly and the interior was unique. But by far the best thing is the pizza even though a $15-$22 price range it is so worth it so I highly recommend this place HIGHLY when you are around Lorne because Pizza Pizza is by far the best pizza restaurant in Victoria.
The pizzas here were so good! All ingredients used tasted so fresh and were good quality. The pizza’s were made with a generous amount of toppings and a great crispy base, perfection! Great friendly customer service to top off the experience, we will defiantly be returning.

Pizza Pizza is a quaint little pizza joint in Lorne and great stop when traveling along The Great Ocean Road. The staff was very friendly and the atmosphere was very open, especially given the fact that you place an order at the window and there's adequate seating outside.
The pizza isn't the most "authentic" style pizza I've had, BUT it was absolutely delicious! We shared two pizzas, the Roast pumpkin, and Prosciutto. The Roast Pumpkin was insanely good, topped with mozzarella, roast pumpkin, pancetta, pepitas and fresh parsley. The pumpkin added such a beautiful sweetness and paired extremely well with the pancetta. The Prosciutto, topped with mozzarella, prosciutto, roquette, and parmesan, was also good, however, was overpowered by the sheer volume of roquette. Both pizza crusts were thin and crispy, which made eating a whole 11" pizza by myself a little less painfully filling.
Overall, the pizza was super tasty and definitely worth a visit if passing through!
Incredibly good pizza! We had the Capricciosa, Margherita, Punkrock & Pizza For Nelly. The base is light and crusty. Toppings are fresh and tasty. Well worth the price. Will definitely be back for more.
The best pizza ever! Absolutely love coming here - the pizza is perfect everytime! Love the chilled out layout and atmosphere. Highly recommend coming here!
Best pizza in Lorne. Tucked away off the main road.
Not the cheapest but worth the price. Italian style crust. Good range on menu, including many veggie options.
Amazing pizza BUT VERY EXPENSIVE. $20+
THIS MENU HERE IS OLD. THE NEW MENU HASNT BEEN UPDATED. ALL PIZZA SAME SIZE IT THINK 11'' AND $$$/$$$$
Inside and outside eating area with heating. Gorgeous and simple decor. The small pizza isn't your funky super thin or traditional thick pan style. It's kind of an in between of both styles. Good amount of topping. Takes a while for the pizzas to come out so you'll need to be patient. They are super hot when they arrive so be careful. I burnt my roof of my mouth. Bingo bango was a tad salty
Great service, food was fast and was very authentic. Reasonably priced and tasted fantastic. Would definitely say it's the best place the great ocean road has to eat, if you're stopping by it's an absolute must try.
Best pizza I've ever had in Australia! And I've lived here for over 3 years! Well done. Very tasty, non greasy but still juicy as well as well sized! The pizza place was also very cute looking.

I'm certain I'll never forget this place. Why? This is where I had my best pizza ever. EVER!! Try the Capriciosa. I think its secret is in olives, it's crazy good! And note this: you can bring your own wine
We ordered a take away margarita and a meat lovers pizza. The service was quick, was told 20 minutes and when we arrived they were all ready to be picked up. The pizza bases were very thin and crispy and the toppings were tasty. I was surprised there was no chicken on the menu, as my husband doesn't eat pork and all the meat options were pork. It would have been nice to have chicken as a meat option.
Fresh and flavoursome pizza, funky staff and a fun atmosphere! What more could you want? We ordered a Capricciosa and a Meat Lovers, both were amazing but the Capricciosa took the crown! Staff were so great (even when I left my phone behind and came back an hour later to retrieve - whoops!). Plus its BYO - what more do you need?!

+1: nice quiet out of the way
+2: open fire
+3: nice range of pizza toppings
+4: happy to make changes to accommodate diety requirements
+5: quick and friendly
+6: wine on tap :)
- 1: quite a few people hanging around
Some of the best pizza in Victoria. The crust is crazy crispy, like a pita chip! If you like thin crust pizza, this is the spot. Come early to grab a spot for eating in, or it will be busy and long wait.
Don't get me wrong it's great pizza but they are so small they are like a normal small size.
Their salads are amazing. Overall it's amazing and I would come back again.
What a gem!!
Jazz music whilst we waited for takeaway pizzas and vino on tap!!! Such a classy little joint.
I would happily go back and sit under the pergola dripping with wisteria and eat my meal.
Staff super friendly and pizzas delicious. Not oily and lovely warmed up for next day.
Good pizza and great to sit outside. You can BYO wine. Busy, but relaxed and friendly. I recommend this place as value for money in Lorne. Some of the other restaurants here are expensive, but not necessarily good quality.
We stopped by here on our way through Lorne and are so happy that we did! The Margarita pizza was fantastic and the mushroom fettuccine was equally as good. Fantastic little Italian joint!
This place is a must stopover when travelling along the Great Ocean Road.
It's a small and very casual venue where you order from street level with a xeroxed menu in your hand and your pizza is served to your table usually within 15 minutes. There are a few tables outside and there's a small dining shed for max 20 people with a cosy fireplace. This place is easy to miss if you don't know it's there but I believe it's the only decent pizza place in Lorne. It is surprisingly frequented often by locals for take away as well as most of the quirky surfing community do dine here. There is a small parking outside as well.
We were totally wet and cold after visiting the local waterfalls and decided to stop by for a bite. The fire place made it easy to get warm and added a nice ambient feel to the dining experience.
We ordered the Punkrock with roasted pumpkin, rocket and goat cheese as well as the Mexicana with salami and chili.
The pizzas are of the small to medium size and cost around $17 so slightly more expensive than you might expect. The ingredients are however good quality and plentiful while the dough is thin and nicely baked. The crust is unordinary and of that thin and dry type (almost gluten free like) so you won't have that properly raised soft and crunchy bite that you could enjoy with some chili oil. Not the typical American style but not the Italian either. Despite being a Napoli purist I found these pizzas quite interesting and tasty. I've been here twice on two occasions and can recommend a visit.
Amazing food, great staff, great selection of drinks, perfect location and vibe!!! Would recommend to everyone in the area!!! 10/10 best pizza in town!
Pizza Pizza has the most beautiful location in Lorne; no ocean views but it had the most beautiful purple scented blooms growing all over the converted house. Just so pretty!
The pizza though - well it was good. The garlic pizza needed more garlic but was a thin crunchy base and loved the herbs.
Rocket salad was nice but wow the acidity in that balsamic took your breath away; a few times and it was very pungent. Would be better with a glaze instead and more Parmesan!
Meat pizza partner said was good - needed more BBQ sauce and the meat was good quality.
Pretty much the Toorak crowd here which I hate being from Toorak as you want to slip away sometimes haha but the service was GREAT - lovely girl serving and the setting is just beautiful.
With the partner having a vino, me a big bottle of sparking water and the food it was $45. A bargain for Lorne standards.
Thin and crispy bass, and super tasty, high quality toppings. I really enjoyed the pizza from these guys. Highly recommended if you're in the area.
Awesome pizza, service and decor next to a log fire. Great to find a place up to standard in the area. Not licensed in doors yet but where very polite in pointing it out.
A bathtub in the toilet- must be a residential establishment converted into a Pizza shop.
The ordering system was quick and efficient. They did not have cold tap water, but plenty bottles of ambient water.
These are conveyer pizzas - they run a set of Garlands.
All the pizza arrived together which was great - and they certainly tasted as good as they looked
Overall a great evening enjoyed by everybody
Great pizza, we had the punk rock and Napoletana, thin base, with fresh ingredients. Chilled vibe and friendly service. Defiantly worth giving a try.
Perhaps, this is the best food in Lorne. Cosy and nice location, both inside and outside. Good quality pizza. We had a veggie one. Will come back for sure.
Great service. Cannot drink in new indoor are but can outside. Good Sangiovese :) and great pizzas. The staff heard us saying it was cold so set up a outside heater. Great service and very friendly
Look i walked passed and was suspicious of this places rating and claim to a good pizza. Bases dont look amazing on first glance. But we went back as we wanted pizza even though we questioned the rating and the taste buds of the locals. As you would, Lorne isn't the foodie Mecca of Victoria let's face it.
So we did.
We were pleasantly surprised. The salad was sensational in its simplicity. Rocket, Balsamic and Parmesan, actually better executed than most Italian restaurants I've ever eaten at. This was a good sign.
The pizzas came out, sort of deflated the moment. There was a calzone and a regular pizza. The bases, well to be honest they aren't pizza bases. It's like a standardized bread dough that's been used and it's less than great but the fillings and toppings were good.
Not a bad outcome as it was simply the bases that let the place down. The service, toppings and venue itself is rather cool, just not sure why the base dough isn't more like a pizza than a bread (maybe the owner is American, it's very similar to pizza pie dough, not traditional pizza dough)
Worth a shot, just don't expect too much or traditional pizza, and wouldn't knock back a return if I'm every around here and don't want cheap and nasty or over the top, so that's a solid and sound 3.5 then, tops.
Terrific, well priced pizza served simply in lovely, rustic surrounds. We had the bingo bango + rocket on a gluten free base and didn't know the difference -the normal base looked amazing too. We will be back.
Our first food stop in Lorne on our trip! We read the reviews that this place has and felt that we needed to try it out, and we were not disappointed.
The pizzas were delicious! We ordered the pancetta and pear pizza, prawn pizza and the bingo bango pizza, and they were all cooked really well and had a nice crispy base. The decor was simple and rustic and had seating both outside and inside, though it might not be enough on a busy day. Definitely worth coming here!

Great vibe and friendly staff, and whilst we did have to wait a little longer than the originally estimated 1/2 hour for our takeaway pizza, we were treated to 'Minnie the Moocher' whilst seated out front on a lovely Lorne evening. Should have taken up the offer to have a beer whilst waiting, and just relaxed and enjoyed the atmosphere. The pizzas themselves were pretty good with crisp, thin crusts and quality toppings. The only downside was we did not receive the meat lovers as ordered, instead the (gasp!) vegetarian 'Nelly'. Thank goodness our other pizza 'Bingo Bango' was a saving grace with some meat he he. Still, was worth the wait :-)
We decided to go to Pizza Pizza on our way back to Melbourne after the swimming event in Lorne last week.
The shop is a tiny kiosk with an extension of a separate room with a few benches and tables. You have the option of sitting outside as well.
It's a beautiful little shop with some amazing staff serving with smile, and happy to have a laugh.
Food was amazing, simple menu but cooked to perfection, the GF base was one of the bests that you may ever had.
Bring your own wine, and just sit and enjoy the view and people walking in and out while you are waiting for your pizza to arrive. There is a bit of a wait ( we had to wait 45 mins), but when the food arrived it all worth the wait.
Well deserved for 4.9 rating which you don't get to see too often on Zomato.
Will be back for sure next time that we are in the area.
Good quality pizza even though a little heavy compared to the Italian I am used to. Quick service and nice athosphere, clean and fresh! Suggested.
The 4.9 is well deserved. We came here for the weekend and tried this place as it had the best rating by far. Also, if you a have constant flow of locals getting take away you know you're on to a winner. It does just about the best pizzas anywhere.
The pizzas are simple but beautifully prepped and cooked. Lovely thin crust with some crunch. Try the meat lovers, it's brilliant.
Just bear something in mind. This place is TINY, you couldn't swing a cat. The seating is either outside or in an other building. Also, due it's lack of size, the pizzas do take longer than you would expect.
The cutest little pizza shop! Found it randomly on the way through and it did not disappoint! Even the gluten free base is amaze 👌🏼. The service is super quick and the pizza didn't take too long to come out either. 👍🏼
Great overall pizza. Lovely price. The crust was really hard though. If you have ever been to the pizza place called CRUST you'll know what I mean. I recommend this place to people with hard teeth and a taste for good wood fired pizza.
For our pitstop at Lorne we choose to have lunch at Pizza Pizza. It has the highest rating I've seen so far on Zomato of 4.9 with 400+ reviews, so I had big expectations. The atmosphere of the indoor seating area is great, modern and fresh. Pizzas only come in the one size of 11 inches on thin crust and is plenty to feed one person. We ordered the Margherita, Mexicana, & Meat Lovers to share between 4ppl.
Really enjoyed the Margherita, the cheese is milky and almost sweet. Mexicana with just the right amount of heat from the chilli & salami. Meat Lovers I found needed other meat than the ham & bacon to live up to its name & is a tad salty. They got the basics right, and the crust was amazing, crispy at the bottom, but can easily fold it I half. I just wish the pizzas other than the Margherita also had cheese on them.
Amazing pizzas, great atmosphere, great prices, BYO, outside and inside seating.... The wait for food was about half an hour but it was very VERY busy because of the long weekend and we weren't in a rush. Definitely going to go back!
Cute and funky hole in the wall type place in Lorne, that is essentially the best food joint there is around here. Run by some young and fresh hipster types who know what makes a great pizza. Great and varied selection of pizzas with a couple of calzones in the mix with memorable flavours. Did try the Prosciutto, Meat Lovers, and 'Bingo Bango' - all were presented beautifully, sized appropriately, and tasted wonderfully. If in Lorne go here, without question.
很好吃,皮脆脆,酱浓郁。在去往erskin falls的路上,还挺意外有这么好吃的。
为什么要写满140个字喔,哈哈哈,没有那么多字可写呐。
hahahahhahahahahahahahahhhahahahahahahahhahahahahahahhaahahhahhahahahahhhahahah
Oooh very delish pizza! GF base is probably the best I've ever had! Was happy to modify the base sauce to accomodate my intolerances too (no garlic/onion). Very happy to have eaten from here!
Best f***ing pizza you'll ever have! We're from Melbourne and have never come across anything that stacks up to this little gem! We purposely stayed around until 4pm until they opened, on our way home from apollo bay just to have this pizza. If you don't give it a try while you're in Lorne you're missing out!!!!!!!
The menu is diverse and reasonably priced, the ambiance of this little place makes it that much better!!! a MUSSSSTTTTT!!!
Great pizza with a wide range of choices. Only really has take away available as seating area is limited. Pizzas always tasty and good value for money.
Pizzas were so yum! Only issue was they're a bit small. Maybe my boyfriend and I eat too much. Nevertheless they were delicious and I would definitely eat here again.
Great Pizza, and good selection, and also enough choice for Vegetarians. I tried Margherita and Punkrock, would definitely recommend, but please remember it's cash only.
Lorne's finest pizza house. A must try.
Over priced, under performed. We'd read some of the reviews on Urbanspoon before trying out Pizza Pizza this week. The pizzas were tasty and fresh but reviewers claiming they're the best in Victoria need to spend more time in Melbourne! And at a whopping $57 dollars for 2 pizzas (one size only. 1 GF) and 2 salads (a classic/basic green) was a little steep.
Refreshing to have a reasonably priced quality eatery in Lorne. Great pizzas with nice fresh herbs over them. Good beer selection.
Love! Yummy, yummy! Pizzas were well priced and filling. The garlic and cheese pizza was the best! Highly recommend.
They only do pizza, but do it soo well. Awesome tiny kitchen full of activity. Pizza base perfect, and tasty toppings. You use visit this place
My husband and I decided on pizza for the night, when we got to the place, we both looked at eachother in question, as it was right down the end of the road, with coloured Christmas lights flashing. we decided to give it a go, and boy am I glad we did. Not only was it reasonable in price, but the whole experience was exactly what we would have hoped for, the pizzas were spot on and so was the ambiance. Loved it
AMAZING. Fantastic setting & absolutely delicious pizzas! Must try for those staying, or simply passing by Lorne.
AMAZING. Quaint little shop front might not look much but don't be deceived, this is some of the best pizza I've ever had. The Salami Calzone was a different class, would eat it every day of the week and never get sick of it! Absolutely gorgeous pizzas..
Tasty. Had prosciutto rocket and parmesan with generous amounts of prosciutto and heaped rocket to cover each piece well. Also tried pear and pancetta. Appeared like not much on it but was a hearty feed with cheesy, salty and sweet flavours. Good balance of just the right amount of ingredients that compliment each other well.
Wicked. Brilliant pizzas. highly recommended. just don't let the kookaburas steal it if you eat by the river
From colac. Damn good pizza!!

Loved it. Simple, no fuss, pizza from a shack with outdoor dining tables. BYO bottle of wine for $3 corkage. Help yourselves to water, quirky crockery to share your pizzas and you're sure to enjoy this dining experience. The pumpkin and goats cheese pizza was to die for, along with the proscuitto one. Yummy!

Great pizza love the bases, potato pizza a bit bland but would definently try other pizzas. Pity not more outside dining.
AMAZING!!!. Best pizza I have had for a really long time. Fresh toppings and delicious base. Highly recommended!
Pizza pizza nom noms. Nice pizzas at this hipster hang out from the owners of many other popular Lorne hangouts. I did however find a common theme, salt. Went to Mexican republic the night before and had to ask for salt at both places. They were happy to provide it and with salt, their pizzas were fabulous.
Season that potato pizza boys, and we have a real winner!
Fresh food, quick and pleasant service. The prawn pizza was oily, very oily, I've never had pizza that oily.
Fantastic!!!. Fantastic pizzas! Toppings are generous and fresh, whilst the base is probably the best I have had, so thin and light. Put this place on your list if staying in Lorne. No eftpos but the pizzas make up for it.
Stunning pizza!! A cute little place... Sign says: One size.. Cash only! We grabbed a takeaway as we were staying across the road at the Mantra. Very happy we did - it was awesome!!!!!!
We went to pizza pizza on Thursday night and ordered the prosciutto pizza. Tasty as it was they forgot to put on the prosciutto, quite an integral ingredient. We called and they said to come in today for lunch to get a free one, but when we turned up today at 1230 they said they weren't opening till 3. No pizza pizza again for us I think.
Sensational pizza, had the sweet potato/bacon/pine nut and the prosciutto/Parmesan/rocket. Nice thin & crisp bases and generous quality toppings. Worth the wait, but don't sit under the trees unless you want to be crapped on by a cockatoo.
Simple, unpretentious pizza with quality ingredients and greasy-glug free
Seriously the best pizza we've found!! Gorgeous crispy thin crust, quality fresh ingredients, yummy combos (we love pumpkin!!) and keeps us coming back for a relaxed feed when riding the GOR!!
AMAZING! So fresh, delicious, tasty. Had the proscuttio which had incredible rocket dressed in balsalmic and fresh Parmesan grated on top
WOW....what a find. Love this place. Great pizza's, delicious and tasty toppings, casual alfresco dining and super friendly service. Cash only and they do a huge trade in takeaway. Suggest you come early or late to avoid the summer crowds. Can't wait to return to Lorne for more Italian style pizza.
Best pizza outside of Italy. You must try the capricciosa. It's amazing
Always a favourite of mine after a hard day of racing at anaconda, simple & affordable they have the formula just right.
Yummy, simple Warning(!): n.... Yummy, simple
Warning(!): no EFTPOS
Holly and I loved this place, best pizza we have eaten! Spinner add bacon and the prawn pizza! Recommend this place on your travels
Great pizza - best Gluten Free Bases in Victoria - def check it out !
Pizza here is so good. I rang to order takeaway and it was ready ahead of time. Crust was crisp and smokey, cooked perfectly. Capricossa topping was very tasty. Meaty chunks of mushroom, cheesy goodness and all the special Italian touches. The team were friendly and helpful. Recommend Pizza Pizza to anyone looking for a tasty dinner.
One of the best pizzas I have tasted. The ingredients are fresh and really good quality... the staff are friendly and accommodating.
The menu is simple yet has options for everyone... meat lovers, vegans, vegetarians. Loved everything about this place.
Bangin pizzas!! We ordered a ham and pineapple, pepperoni, prawn and meat lovers pizzas. Did not disappoint!! A really cool intimate restaurant. Friendly staff and great service. Definitely recommend 5/5.
Drove down to Lorne with a mate on a Wednesday and we found this cute place I hadn't noticed before. What a beautiful spot to eat delicious pizza! I loved my hawaiian pizza, and my mate's (something with salami on it) was thoroughly enjoyed too. I'll definitely be dropping in again.
What a lovely little establishment. So friendly. Fire going to keep the place nice and cosy. Pizzas were so good. Loved it. I felt like I was visiting a friend's place.
The pizza was Soo good on a chilly day... The crust was amazing, people in the kitchen looked like they were have a good time making the pizzas, reflected in the food.. ☺️
Amazing Pizza! Very fast, online ordering available staff were super friendly and the pizza was phenomenal! Highly recommend!
Amazing atmosphere fireside would be enough reason to go here on a cold winter's night alone.
Add in the amazing pizzas and service and it's the best value dinner in Lorne
