The service here is excellent. Very friendly and prompt. Had a big table of 13 and was catered for professionally from start to finished. Ordered the pâté with brioche bread for entree, eye fillet steak cooked rare with side potato gratin for main and a coffee flavoured dessert with chocolate. Everything was tasty, especially loved the flavoursome pâté with the warm soft brioche bread. Felt like the dishes didn't come out as quickly as it should because slightly on the cold side, I assume because of our large table. But expected it to be perfect for crowne plaza anyway. However it was more of a pleasant experience. Modern and large restaurant layout and intimate ambience at night. Fun night.

Arriving at Redsalt restaurant, we were led to a table overlooking the illuminated Crowne Plaza pool. The pool looked absolutely gorgeous! The blue lights made it a relaxing focal point whilst we perused the wine menu. I might be a little bit spoiled but I do like to start a nice meal with some bubbles. After a quick look I chose a Hunter Valley sparkling Semillon from Bimbadgen.  I had only taken a single sip before I announced to hubby, “Do you know, I’m really enjoying the Hunter Valley Semillon!” Everywhere we had visited in the Hunter Valley seemed to be producing lovely wines from this particular grape variety.  My sparkling Semillion was no exception. It was the second time this weekend I had enjoyed the pleasure of a glass of Bimbadgen Semillon. The beautiful beads of fine soft bubbles traced their way through the light straw wine. The flavour was crisp and lemon, perfect for preparing the palate our meal. Bimbadgen Sparkling Semillon Overlookin

We decided to get the five course degustation, it was selections from the a la carte menu, with matching wines. All the courses were great, with the prawn being a standout in my mind. As it was our wedding anniversary we got a nice extra dessert. The service was friendly and helpful, the wines were all good. Can’t complain, and a reasonable price for what we got!

Lovely Australian cuisine with standout desserts. The set menu allows you to choose between 2, 3 course or the degustation menu. We ordered the pork belly, lamb and the salmon. All pretty good. Our desserts were divine - highly recommend if you’re a sweet tooth.

First degustation - what a pleasant experience. We had the 5-course option. The dishes were all explained to us by the knowledgable & friendly staff. The dishes had variety, were delicious & well balanced. We will recommend Redsalt to our friends and family.

I am actually blown away with how lovely the food was, I was a little nervous about coming here due to the mixed reviews that I have seen but this place definitely exceeded my expectations! We were served by Kirsty who was amazing, I hope this message gets to her manager, Kirsty was very attentive and on the ball, always checking in to ensure that we were happy with our meals and had everything we needed. Thanks Red Salt for the lovely experience it was a great way to top off our weekend away.

Absolutely amazing food and very friendly service. The only downside was they had run out of potatoes so we got chips instead and my hubby got served the wrong dessert but they fixed that up within a few minutes. So full!

The kingfish sashimi, zucchini flower and seared scallops as entrees were all quite amazing, fresh ingredients with delicate flavors, but the lamb shoulder and pork belly have let down the experience as quite average.
