I'm not a big fan of Thai food but love the Nuer-Aroy (#65), roti and coconut rice; I will have to try some of the other stir fries. Took my grandparents here and they loved it. Great for takeaway or dine in, parking was easy. Only drawback is minimum eftpos is $20.
The service was really great, all the staff were friendly. The food was really excellent, and probably better than some 'high end' places in the city.
Everything was really tasty, with good sized portions, highly recommend the food here!
Suwan Thai restaurant in Viewbank. Best Thai restaurant in this area. Even the vegie menu is worthwhile for a try. I like he green and yellow curry with either beef or chickens. Yummy.

Amazing food! Amazing ambience. They really cater for vegetarians/vegans. So happy to have found such an amazing place to come back to! We ordered number 28 and 33 and both were flavoured so well and we were in food heaven!
Service is excellent, food comes out in good time and never disappoints. The yellow and massaman curries are amazing, their chicken is also great quality in the curries. All the entrees are tasty and enjoyable. Definitely give this place a go! Lots of vegetarian options too.

Been here many times over the years and it never disappoints! Really nice Thai food. Last night had the whole deep fried fish, which was covered in fresh delicious toppings. Just awesome. Wine menu could definitely improve. Great service and nice people. They certainly get busy, so it's worth booking any night of the week.
Love this place! Been here a few times and they are consistently great. Their serving sizes are large and the food is really tasty. Highly recommend their special duck curry, Pad Thai noodles, sizzling prawns, nan bread and coconut rice. Approx price is about $30 per person, sharing a number of plates with friends. Cant wait to go back!
Best Thai in the area. The quality is inconsistent, but at its best it is so very good. The roti is delicious, the yellow and red curry is also great.

Each dish is fantastic (oh except for that duck salad on the specials page give that a miss). But dishes such as the Massaman Curry and Nuer Aroy are simply amazing as a the crab claw entree mmm sooo good

Not our first visit, and certainly not our last. This evening my vegetarian and I took on the cold and strolled out to Montmorency's not so hidden gem, Suwan Thai. Housed in what was formerly a Mexican restaurant many years ago and was before that a suburban house, Suwan Thai is many things to many people, a regular haunt, local delight and busy takeaway empire in its own right by the amount of food that is pumped out of the kitchen to the shuffling throng gathered near the entry waiting for their order to come up. Despite the volume of traffic however, the service and the pace of the dine in section seems serene and tranquil most times.
The real stand-out food here is the curry. They have a range of options and most importantly have no qualms about vegetarian and vegan diners, so my vegetarian is a happy lass each time we go. The Pad Thai is great as is the Tom Yum, but the curries are magnificent. Rich creamy, subtle or fiery, there is one available for any occasion.
Staff are friendly and welcoming, the atmosphere is jovial yet relaxed and large groups are as much a part of the decor as the steady stream of punters awaiting their take-out.
Sometimes, you just want to go out and have a great meal without the dress code and the fuss. If that sounds like you, you could maybe find a place here.

Hands down, my favorite restaurant. Always busy and for good reason! A delightful range of Thai dishes (if you enjoy seafood then the coconut prawns are a must have), the set menus are the go-to when I visit with my family which we all share. The Pad Thai is on par with those I had when I visited Thailand. They also serve Thai beer which I love! I have never once left this restaurant disappointed and I doubt I ever will.
Been to this place on many occasions and they have never let me down. The satay skewers are to die for the red curry is magnificent and it even it has a great Tom Yuk soup. I truly recommend 😀👌
A good thai restaurant for a suburb standard. I've had better ones but also had worst. We frequent this place often because it is located just right outside our home. I would say that the food quality is decent. My favorite dish here would be the king prawn spring roll and the larb gai. Other dishes are of normal quality. A good place to dine if you're looking for a quiet restaurant with decent food or if you're having a thai craving in this side of town. Staffs are quite attentive too but lack the proper standards of thai hospitality.
My favourite Thai. This place is my favourite Thai restaurant. The curries are always delicious and the roti is a generous serve with delicious peanut sauce. I find the drinks reasonably priced too. Suwan is always busy, so be sure to make a booking.
Good for the suburbs. I would rate this restaurant 3 stars partly because of the reasonably good food, the unimaginative decor and the less than attentive service. Good for a quiet diner with a friend if you do not want to impress, or if you have kids. I would go again to this restaurant mainly because I live near by.

Friendly, prompt service & good food. Myfamily brought me here on Father's Day. The restaurant was fully booked but , due to the space between tables, was not crowded. Veryfriendlystaff and prompt service. The foof=d was good and I woul dlike to visit here again. The only bad point i sthat like most Thai restaurants they put sugar into their curries to make it taste better.
Very welcoming staff, attentive and helpful. The food is always beautiful, take away from here is also of great quality.

The food is to die for. Absolute favourites are the garlic and pepper prawns, the curry puffs (so light and not at all drowning in oil!) and the coconut rice. My god, the coconut rice. If I knew how to replicate it then I would be 400kgs by now.
Great!. Delicious! Great level of spice in the red curry and wonderful flavours, only criticisms are the sweet basil stir fry was a little bit too salty, and a little bit stingy on the chicken and beef in both dishes. They seemed to charge corkage by the bottle which was nice instead of per person! Would definitely go back.

Nice place tucked away from the road. Very tasty dishes and friendly prompt service. Definitely worth a visit. Just wish they had more salad options, like the famous green papaya salad.

Pretty hard pressed to find a better Thai in the burbs!. We class ourselves as foodies who love and know good thai food. This restaurant is great in both food and service. We regularly have take away from here too and are never disappointed. Great curries, stir frys and salads. My bestie had her 40th here and it was fantastic - very accomodating staff albeit a little lacking in understanding at times but hey who cares the food is friggen great!
YUM!. We love Suwan Thai! The curries are amazing! Must haves: Red Curry, Yellow Curry, Green Curry, Coconut Rice, Curry Puffs, Mini Spring Rolls! If you ask for your meal to be hot, be prepared for some serious heat! Everytime we go there the staff are amazing and very helpful, the only downside to this restaurant is it does get a little crowded at times. Be sure to book in advance to avoid dissapointment.
Amazing!. The food here is amazing. The service is brilliant. If you want to eat in make sure you book, no matter what night of the week this place gets packed. It's much better (and cheaper) to get take away as it is very noisy and uncomfortable eating in. Can not more highly recommend the food from Suwan Thai.

What an asset to our local area. Plenty of car parking, quality takeaway portions. Even better to eat in - have done so with and without kids, with my partner and with girlfriends. Every dish is yummy. Have to try; Entree: chicken skewers & vegetarian rolls Mains: Coconut rice, Beef with Cashews & vegetables and they do a lovely Chicken Thai Basil. Service is consistent - no wonder the place is always full.

Great Thai food with lots of complex delicious flavours! We had a few of their takeaway dishes including green curry, pad Thai and curry puffs. Everything was satisfying and service was pleasant. Definitely will return.

Went here for a dinner with a friend and we loved most of what we ordered. Not so much a fan of the crabmeat (entree) but the rest was tasty and quite filling. The Pad Thai and Red Curry was delicious and serving was enough for both of us! We also had coconut rice and spring rolls. For dessert i had the Taro custard and my friend had banana rice pudding, both were yum! Will be back for more :)

Had a table of 10, staff were exceptionally helpful with individual dietary needs. Food was incredible. So many fresh ingredients, full of flavour. Within 1 minute of sitting down, pencils and crayons were dropped off at the table for the kids. Food came out promptly, hot and most of all, amazing. Thanks to the one wait staff that put up with my daughter (miss 6) inability to decide on how she wants her egg cooked.
