Review Luddenham Village Cafe - Luddenham

After reading reviews and looking at photos I decided to visit the village cafe. On arrival there’s no signage indicating the restaurant is called Luddenham Village Cafe instead you can only see Terrace on the door. It may appear big on the outside but internally it small and jam packed with around 8-10 tables. The staff there are nice and helpful but some seem they had no idea what they were doing especially our food were served before our coffee arrived! The food itself is reasonably priced, very big proportion and well presented but taste ordinary. Coffee tasted bitter & burnt without sugar, no coffee art on my latte it was a mess. What I did enjoy was the ricotta cannoli it’s probably one of the best I’ve tasted. Though the price for a cannoli at $4.5 is quite expensive especially in a remote area. Been coming here on occasion for a while now. I love this place. The atmosphere is amazing, the place is always open even early in the morning. The staff are awesome, friendly and the girl with the pink hair is more than just a pretty face and rocking body, she makes amazing coffee! (That was one hell of a latte). I usually get the steak sandwich here, it is absolutely epic. Worth every penny. On my last visit they gave used sweet potato for the hot chips and it was absolutely amazing. I can't wait to get it a second time. I'm the web developer that comes with David on Mondays fyi. I'd highly recommend this place, it's like one of those diners you can visit on the regular and make a part of your home. Even the other people eating and having coffee are great. Being located right near a servo means there's plenty of parking, and in Wallacia they sure do need a decent place to eat. Nothing seems to be open till about 3pm or so.

Coffee is by far the best in Penrith, worth the extra drive. Service is fantastic and food is consistently amazing and so fresh. Thank you

Thank you for delivering my Father’s Birthday breakfast this morning! The omelettes looked amazing and were deliciously tasty, very generous with all the ingredients. Fruit flans were gorgeous and huge! Definitely will order here again! Staff are so helpful and caring. Made my Father feel special on his birthday during this lockdown! Thank you again.

Great service, well designed shop, pie crispy, coffee is excellent. Will visit again when in the area.

placed an order, this week for 12 bacon//egg rolls to be picked up early for work They were not doubles like i was told and not cooked correct. Very disappointed 😡 misleading as I considered this a great cafe Thank you for your reply I was given false information about the product and if your chef can’t cook a basic item your business has failed in my eyes. Double is considered double/ both items Not smothered in sauce and rock hard cold bread.

The food was good. Service was absolutely non existent. Waited to be seated but was ingnored. Took ages to even approach us to take our order. About an hour before we got our meals the male that served us wiped a table with his forearm

What an amazing bunch of people first of all, they are run off their feets & still have the time to be show impeccable service, owner is so lovely & our waitress was the best I've ever come across, not to mention the food was beautiful & our food came out fresh & quickly. Hands down best place Ive been to in awhile. Thank you very much..I'll definitely be back..

Went for breakfast on Sunday and had the champions breakfast... beautiful food.. great service from a lovely waitress with the lovely Maltese accent (sorry I'm terrible at remembering names). My daughter hopes you love the Elsa colouring in �� Totally recommend this wonderful place ��

We've driven past several times even stoped a number of time at the petrol station next door but never ventured into the cafe until father's day and wow have we been missing a good thing....we decided to have breakfast for lunch and it was delicious!!! The staff are great, the food is great...will definitely be back

Very disappointed with our evening tonight. The service was friendly but amateurish and very disorganised. We did not even get served the pastizzi for desert. Apart from that the food lacked that Maltese soul and was lacking passion and flavour. The starters were ordinary to say the least. The hobz biz zeght was dry and stale and lacking oil with little kunserva. Hobz biz zeght should showcase the fresh crusty Maltese loaf with abundant kunserva and cold pressed olive oil topped with capers, olives, onions and anchovies. Another element missing very close to a Maltese heart is the fresh Maltese sausage, which was not on the menu. The bigilla was tasteless. The parsley and garlic was not infused into the beans and there was no chilli present. Traditionally this is served warm with fresh crusty Maltese bread. Then onto the ravul (Maltese ravioli). These were like as if they were shop bought. They lacked filling and the sauce lacked garlic. The traditional way they should look is like large agnolotti with a silky smooth ricotta filling. The stuffat tal fenek was quite bland The sauce lacked herbs and that red wine taste to the back of the palate. The spaghetti was overcooked, but the most unpleasant thing about this dish was the over sweetness of the sauce. I Certainly will not attend another Maltese evening here. For those who know me and my passion for food they would fully understand why I am so critical. They would also know the standard of my cooking and the flavours of my culinary skills set. And no cassata gelato !!! I even asked when paying the bill as to whether the chef was in fact Maltese. We came here with reasonable expectations judging by the popularity but left very deflated and unsatisfied. Would not recommend this at all.

What a find! We decided to drop in on empty stomachs only to find that this business is our new hidden gem! Delightful service and great food! I ordered slightly different to the menu and nothing was too hard. We are now certainly regulars.

We came here for lunch today, its fabulous. What a hidden gem. It's next to a petrol station and doesn't look like much from the outside, but the food is delicious and the staff are friendly. The also have a wide variety of Italian desserts that look lovely and most importantly they roast their own beans and do a mean cup of coffee. Will definitely be coming back here sooner rather than later. Possibly for pasta night on Thursdays!

We spent a leisurely couple of hours here yesterday over lunch. My boys are big eaters and the servings didn't disappoint. The staff and service were wonderful, the atmosphere perfect and the food was delicious. Daniel and his team have well oiled machine running out there at Luddenham. Oh, and my daughter is a chef there too!!! �

We came for brunch yesterday. It is easy to miss as it's tucked onto the side of the Caltex but if you find it you wont be disappointed. Staff are incredibly friendly and very helpful. Had phenominal food - so much we couldn't finish it all. Came back again today for lunch - WOW again but still couldn't finish the food...will keep trying. Highly recommended.

Bacon and eggs cooked to perfection and speedily served by lovely, helpful staff. Highly recommended.

Went out for breakfast and as usual food was amazing and staff were great. Have the best coffee. So glad this is my local coffee shop!!

Stopped in for lunch and it's so much better than most places in Penrith. The food was amazing. Best sweet potato chips we've ever had and the burgers were better than most burger joints we've been to. Customer service was fantastic, very attentive and lovely staff. Will definitely be back �

Our first visit to this awesome Cafe for breakfast today .... great food, excellent service, nothing was a problem, and they easily accommodated for my Wifes' dietary needs .... will be back for sure !!
