Review Masala Indian - Mackay

Laura & Alex Home cooked meals!
I had a craving for good Indian, however wahl at I got was very basic and reheated dry naan bread! Butter chicken was sweet but not spicy at all even though I ordered spicy! Can tell it was just thrown in a microwave! 46 dollars is a little over priced for average Indian

Place looks lovely to dine in. I asked for a few extra minutes to decide what to order but the waitress must have forgotten about me and didn’t come back until more than 20mins later. Then it took more than 30mins for one dish to reach the table. Was disappointed with the dish I’ve ordered as it was quite bland and couldn’t taste the strong spices or flavours for the Madras as I’ve had in the past from elsewhere. Portion size small for the price charged. The good review seen on Google didn’t live up to my expectations. However, staff was friendly on the positive side. Reply to owner’s response: I was browsing on my phone but not busy on the phone/call. I’ve even turned around multiple times to try and catch someone’s attention. I asked for a couple more minutes but did not specify 5-10mins. Staff definitely did not return until more than 20 mins later. Rice was a mistake on your end, not that I did not pay for it. Photo is not a true representation of portion size as it’s enlarged to show the actual dish.

Got a Menulog delivered last pm. Although pricey for delivery, it was delicious. Plenty of veg, korma sauce could have been a lil bit hotter, but that’s my mistake for ordering medium. Will order hot next time. Kept some for breakfast… hmmmmm 😋😋 . Will definitely order again. 4.5*

I've had takeaway from this restaurant and the food is very tasty and good value. I encourage folks to try the vegetarian dishes as they're my fav (not even a vego lol). Kids love the butter chicken. The mild isn't spicey at all so good for them :). I always have enough for dinner and leftovers for the next day. The Garlic Spinach Cheese Naan is huge and reheats so good!

Had Butter Chicken, Beef and Naan Bread with Coconut Rice. Excellently cooked, reasonable waiting times and fantastic service. Would recommend especially on the milder side.

Really enjoyed it .Starters we’re good had onion bhaji and samosa chat .Both nice samosa chat was great first time I’d had a samosa in this style can advise it if you like samosa .Had goat curry chicken jalfrezi .Malai kofta .All tasty also had the normal sides papadums ,Garlic naan all good to .Staff we’re good service was quiet fast .Will be back .Only thing and a very small thing ,no water offered with the meal .I didn’t ask and probably would have got it if I asked but I think it’s just one of those things that should be offered .
