Review The Coffee Club Mackay - Mackay

I've been here twice in two weeks to get the limited edition Fable Meaty Mushroom Flat Grill as it is the only vegan option on the menu. I swapped out the tomato for avocado which was no additonal charge and I reckon I got half an avocado both times I ordered this! Incredible. The flat grill was loaded with mushroom meat and all the flavours were delicious!The side salad was a great accompaniment to this. I also had a chai latte which was the perfect drinking temperature when it got to the table!! I dined in today again and added chips and vegan mayo which I can highly recommend. The chips were super flavourful and perfectly cooked which paired very well with the vegan mayo and flat grill. Please make this a regular menu item! Great service with friendly and attentive staff.

Extra long wait for food, eventually had to get takeaway as had to get to the airport. Portions were very small for the amount of money we spent. If you run a restaurant that seats 50 or 100 you have to be able to handle it at full capacity.

Really good service. Great tasting coffee. The casear salad was amazing, fresh ingredients, chicken was cooked to perfection, perfect amount of dressing and even came with anchovies. One of the best tasting salads I have had.

Went in for late breakfast, ordered coffee off 1 waitress who was lovely. Got our coffee quickly. Ordered meals off a 2nd waitress, who was not very polite. After 35 mins I noticed other guests who ordered after us getting their meals, so I asked how much longer our meals are, and the 2nd waitress never put our order into the kitchen. We didn't stay.

Hot Chocolate not great, too foamy. Server didn't know which one was white amd dark because he said I didn't make it. Had to wait for 20mins for the Chocolate and a toasted almond croissant. Very disappointed. May be they should train thier crew better.

Disappointing and totally overpriced. Been staying away from Coffee Club in recent times and will do again. Kids Pancakes $8.90 for two tiny piglets with some sprinkles, the Omlette was small and presented with no consideration. Only plus is they had Oat milk even though my Latte was only just warm.

Best service and excellent food! Highly recommend!

There's no vegetarian burger, so I ordered an Aussie burger but removed the meat pattie, bacon and egg. Not only did I have to pay full price, I had to pay EXTRA to add avocado. And even though there was no beetroot available, I still couldn't have the avocado as a substitute. I find it very hard to believe that Coffee Club isn't as flexible as Maccas!! And the waitresses don't like criticism, telling me that there was no point in making a complaint. You've got a lot more competition these days, CC, and your staff doesn't seem to understand that if we stop coming, they stop working 🙄

Normally I’m not one to write a review however, I feel the wonderfully capable and friendly staff at Coffee Club on Wood St deserve a pat on the back. Thank you for the friendly welcome my friends and I receive on each visit and for the prompt service. I appreciate the heads up if things are extra busy and there may be a slight delay. It says a lot about a business when there are many long standing staff members. Being greeted by name and having the staff know how I like my beverage of choice makes for a pleasant and relaxed dining experience. �

Love love love the staff and the atmosphere! The barista Jenny makes the best coffee I’ve had in this town in years and the waiters are sooo attentive and fast on their feet. Have yet to have a bad experience here! Yum yum

Best coffee all the time from the girl with the cat tattoo (Jen I think is what the waitress called her) No one has been able to get my fussy mums coffee right and she left my mum raving about it and even came back later in the night!! My coffee was so good too! 🤤also Sharn (name badge) is the best waitress I’ve had from any restaurant in mackay!!

We had a beautiful meal as always at coffee club wood st tonight. However we chose to have a lighter meal and get dessert, before finding out the dessert that i wanted was not available. So i ordered a different dessert only to be eventually told that the dessert we had now both chosen didnt have the sauce available. So we asked what desserts were available and we were told there was 1 lava cake left or chose from the cake cabinet which i must say left a little to be desired aswell. Maccas mcflurry it is for us tonight

Easter Sunday - breakfast was great, quick service and my nephew loved his Mango Passionfruit Smoothie - he said it’s the best he’s ever had!

The food was great but we weren’t expecting a waitress with a terrible attitude. Maybe don’t work with people if you don’t like people!! And clanging glasses down hard that it makes the patron jump isn’t a good thing. Lucky the glass didn’t smash. �
