Review Piyada Thai Restaraunt - Macleod

What a great restaurant!! Absolutely fantastic Thai food. Fresh, tasty and spiced to perfection. Staff were amazing and flexible. Rang this afternoon because delivery was not available and asked if they could do contactless curb side. They offered delivery, which was super quick. Highly recommended and cannot wait for the opportunity to dine in!! Great way to spending our anniversary!

ONE STAR for the food, and FIVE STARS for the waiter. when someone steps into a Thai restaurant their expectation is to taste ginger, chilies, garlic and spices. None of these ingredients were present in the dishes we ordered. The food tasted VERY BLEND and sweet from the excessive amount of coconut milk. The waiter was doing a tremendous job, taking orders, answering calls, serving 7 tables, sorting the Uber deliveries all by herself, a place like this should be very grateful to have someone like her. Overall, If you are a senior citizen, or someone without taste buds, or recently got out of prison this place isn't' that bad. and for everyone else, I would highly recommend any type of curry for a dessert.

Lovely dinner, served extremely efficiently. The flavours were excellent in the rice dishes my husband and I got. The ambiance of the restaurant was also lovely.

First visit on Mothers Day, it was busy and the atmosphere was great, the staff were very efficient. As for the food not as authentic as I would have like but I would definitely go back to try other menu items. Give this place a go.

One of the best Thai green curries we've ever had in Melbourne! Lovely fresh tastes & aromas, chose the one with prawns.

Great Thai meals here and byo wine and no corkage fee. Service was excellent.

We picked up takeaway from here tonight, standard orders of chicken pad Thai for husband and prawn pad see ew for me with roti bread and peanut sauce thrown in for good measure. Pretty generous on the seafood front on mine and very sizeable prawns. The noodles in the pad Thai were a little dry though

Quality Thai food, delicious every time (best Tom ka puk I’ve had) - this is our new regular Thai place in the area :) wish we had of come sooner.

I was told by a Thai friend that this restaurant was okay, so I decided to try it. I usually find most Thai restaurants too westernised and the food overly sweet so I was truly hoping that Piyada was not one of those places as it’s local to us. <br/>Firstly, the service is terrific, we enjoyed the atmosphere and appreciate the friendly staff. <br/>We ordered fish cakes, satay chicken, Pad Thai and bbq pork. The fish cakes were good, probably the only edible item I had. Everything else was sickeningly sweet! The satay sauce was like eating a dessert, the Pad Thai had no garnish at all, (lime, peanuts, bean shoots or spring onion) it too was overly sweet and inedible. No hint of sourness, salt just sugar! Yuck! No balance at all of the Thai flavours. <br/>The pork was tough and dry. Such a shame. <br/>What’s also funny is that our sticky rice with fresh mango ended up being too salty and could’ve done with a bit more sugar! <br/><br/><br/><br/><br/><br/>

Very disappointed this time. In the past this restaurant was serviceable. Tonight we were served raw chicken. The staff member when we alerted them to it just took the dish away and did not say anything but ok. Poor cooking and poor customer service. Then when we asked again they offered a 10% discount and a very empty sorry. Never returning again. Disgusting

This is one of my favs in Macleod Village. Yummo!<br/> I have been here a few times and have also recommended it to others who were also impressed. Great flavours and excellent service. Favourites would be the Pad Thai, Red Curry (Gang Dang) And Charcoal Pork (Moo Yang). Definitely worth a visit!

The food is fresh, tasty and modern.<br/>The atmosphere is relaxed and the service is great. Definitely one place to try. <br/>Gives some of the more expensive Thai restaurants in nearby Ivanhoe a run for their money.

I love Thai food, and i'm very picky when it comes to buying Thai food. The food at Piyada Thai Macleod was absolutely divine! What a perfect combination of flavours! A very traditional and delicious Thai place not to be missed! My only problem is its walking distance to my house! may not ever cook again! Thanks guys! YUMM!

Disappointed. We had takeaway from here, everything we ordered was very average...We had entrees, very oily and tasted like they had been sitting for ages. Chicken & cashew nut stir fry had no vegetables just lots of onion, again very oily. Roti bread just tasted like oil. Mussaman Curry wasn't very good either. They will have to improve before we will order again...

So-so. I only got a couple of entrees to add to a dinner party- vegetarian spring rolls and vegetarian curry puffs. Both were pretty ordinary, with a weird sweet flavour to both. Having had amazing fresh, crunchy, very flavoursome spring rolls the day before, these were a dismal second.The restaurant looked nice enough, and service was friendly but I wouldn't bother going back. Bit of a shame because it's close to home and there is another local Thai place that is also pretty ordinary, and I was hoping this would be the one to go to. I think a box of store-bought dim sum mix from Coles would have been just as good, possibly better...

Very very average. I ord.... Very very average. <br/><br/>I ordered only two things. Pad Thai and roti both were epic fails. <br/><br/>The Pad Thai was flavourless, lacking any substance and was just extremely average. <br/><br/>The roti I'm sure was out of a packet as was the peanut sauce. <br/><br/>Pretty disappointing really.<br/><br/>I suggest the owners checkout some real competition over at Baan Thai. Food cooked with passion.

Sorry guys, this was down there with the worst 'Thai' we've ever had. Food was bland and overtly sweet. Laab needs to be sour, salty, spicy with some sweet - not just ... sweet. This place is very much catering to assumed Western taste buds. Seriously don't bother.

Waited 2 hours for delivery. Food arrived cold and soggy. Was lied to numerous times as to the location of the food, we offered to come pick up the food at the 1 hour mark.

Never order takeaway from this place! It took 2hrs from order to delivery and when the food arrived the spring rolls and curry puffs were soggy! The driver told us it had been in his car for 90mins...occupational health and safety?? We didn't touch the food as it was also cold. Really disappointed!!!

This place was sprung on me by my brother who's a chef... He said its great... Being on the main street of Macleod and almost being empty I was worried... But the food was great and food and drink are both reasonably priced I'll go there again... Had a coconut like curry and it was amazing

We get food delivered from here sometimes and it is always great. Not to coconut cream heavy. Good variety. Yummy satay.

Hidden treasure. For those of you who live in Macleod and don't dine here regularly, you're missing out! Great food, great menu and great customer service. Sometime I worry that they don't get a lot of sit down customers, but I assume that a lot of people get take away as well. Masaman Chicken Curry is a fave.

We went here for dinner saturday night having been past a number of times. I must say I am very impressed. We started with some entrees of spring rolls and prawns which was delicious (as was the dipping sauce). For mains we had a thai curry and a bbq honey chicken dish with rice and roti. It was all delicious, with the only slight let down the roti which was a bit oily. Service was great and the people were friendly.
