smiley staff, warm ambiance, delicious food by professional chefs...here rocks defo💫👍🏆
Hibernia was recommended to me to try and I wasn’t disappointed. It’s such a lovely spot to have brunch or lunch. The room is so light and bright and really gives it a nice relaxed vibe. Food was delicious and very well priced, staff are friendly too. A selection of cakes available to eat or take away. Off street parking is available. I’d go back for sure.
Foods amazing, coffee toooo, I'll be back....
They have great breakfast options as well as spectacular salads.
Great relaxed atmosphere!!!!!
Simple, pretty looking tasty food.
The service was great too. Will definitely come back again to try the burgers. They look amazing. I ordered the smashed avo and matcha latte.
This was a former Art Deco theatre so the fit out here looks amazing. They've really done justice to the bones of the building. Also, the food and coffee are pretty ace- definitely going to go back and try more off of the mouthwatering menu!
Been a few times already and will keep coming back. Staff are friendly and food is delicious, especially the haloumi cheese. (The KFC battered haloumi is a must try.)
The food and coffee comes out slow sometimes as it gets quite busy. But on slower days the staff are very attentive and really take the initiative to serve their customers.
I came here for a brunch on Sunday since I'd just moved to the area and nothing else was open. It was quiet at first but filled up quickly. I had the waffles and would highly recommend. They were crispy on the outside, but soft and cakey on the inside. They look small in the photo but were actually very filling and I couldn't finish them even though I wanted to. My partner had the big breakfast which was equally delicious and filling. Coffee was good quality and came out quickly - they asked us for our coffee order as soon as we sat down. The cafe itself is nicely decorated and spacious. Doesn't really look like cafe from the outside though so it's easy to walk past. All in all, definitely think I will be a regular here if only for the waffles!
I dropped in for a long black coffee and was tempted by a chocolate brownie. Both were excellent and the staff were friendly too. Couldn't be happier.
we had our brunch and coffee here today. food was alright, but not much to choose from. decor was lovely and srrvice was not bad. it is a lovely places to chat with friends.

When you are driving up Magill Road, be sure to drop by this cafe. On the outside it looks like an old institute building but on the inside it has transformed into a spacious cafe. This is called 'Hibernia Cafe'. Upon entering, you will notice simple decorations on the walls, very high ceilings with modern interior.
Gorgeous old building with modern decor. Friendly staff. I was surprised with the modern gourmet spin on "the big breakfast". Even though the meals were on the smaller size I could not finish mine, very satisfying. The croquet was delicious ! My partner ordered the blood sausage dish which he wasn't happy with. It was small and dry. Coffee was great. Will return :)
My first thought when thinking about my visit to hibernia was how forgettable the place was, as in nothing stood out to make me want to go back. I get the minimalist look with the decor but it feels very clinical in there, not inviting at all. The service was not overly welcoming either, one of waitresses was very short and seemed like she had something better to do than serve us. My friend and I both had the cornbread and I was glad I had a piece of toast before leaving home because it wasn't very filling. Had I known it was a bit small I would have added a side to bulk it up. My friend also wasn't full from the meal but we both agreed it was tasty but nothing special unfortunately.

The alternative title for this post should probably be ‘Hibernia Café is THE SHIT’ but that pretty much says it all and I know ya’ll want to hear all of my insightful observations so let’s stick with the original.
My pal and I knew we were in for a treat upon entering a light and bright Hibernia.
We were greeted by personable staff and delectable desserts. The caramel slice was insanely delicious - freshly made and so decadent. Chais were also great. We're keen to try breakfast another time, as that looks the goods.
Our coffee order was taken as soon as we sat down, which was nice change from many others cafes. We were also offered complementary sparkling water. Our pancakes were cooked perfectly and the big breakfast was amazing.
Other cafes - take note.
Went to Hibernia with a few friends and was not disappointed. The food was amazing and service was top notch.
I am a bit fussy with my coffee and they happily accommodated to my needs. The honey bread and Mackerel were personal favourites.
coffee the best in the area and friendly staff to match. Love the sparkling water on tap.
Our food came quickly and was delicious. The pancake so warm and fluffy. Cornbread delicious withh perfectly cooked eggs. Definitely get a hashbrown on the side..... yum!
Can't wait to go back and try more
Visited Hibernia after reading the amazing reviews I came across on Instagram. Didn't disappoint . Amazing service, food outstanding . Even my 10 year old who chose the mackerel terrine, which is mouth watering, demolished that and started on my big breakfast. Couldn't ask for more. Eggs cooked to perfection and the sparkling water on tap is to die for. Couldn't recommend more . A highlight in Adelaide
Out for a coffee and Michele suggested we try a new place on Magill Road, The Hibernia Cafe. Some confusion over opening times as the note on the door had 8:30 but Zomato had 8:00, lucky we were running late or we would have been disappointed.
First impressions are really good when you walk in. The decor is modern with some great features. The staff are really nice and well presented. Nice high ceilings and big windows give it a really open bright feel. Could get quite loud with all the hard surfaces with a few more people.
As we were being seated the waiter asked if we wanted a coffee so it would be served without delay. I liked this method.
Menu has plenty of choice and I was tempted into a "big breakfast" even though we only came in for coffee.
Presentation was good and serving size was adequate. The elements that make up the breakfast were, bacon (very good), ham hock croquette (very tasty), baked beans (a little too sweet), two poached eggs (runny just as I asked) on toast and a hash brown (not a traditional hash brown more like a rosti) that was my favourite part of the breakfast.
In summary well worth a visit.
Couldn't wait to try my new local and to be honest I was feeling tense about it. When it's so close to home all you can think is 'please oh please be amazing so I can walk here, pleeeeeeeeease'.
I was not disappointed! Stopped by for breakfast and was greeted by a very lovely young lady who seated us and took our coffee orders (it's imperative for my happiness that this is done as I'm being seated). I tried the banana and blueberry tart tatin pancake and it was perfection on a plate. Cakey and fluffy and the banana custard was phenomenal. My friend had the big breakfast and it was fantastic! Coffee was excellent. The menu was fantastic, diverse, interesting and had all the things you want to see on there. Can't wait to come back. The friendly staff made our experience even better. Big tick from me!
Magill has a new joint in town and boy, does it look and taste good! This cafe is the new addition to Zoi Kokoti's and Stephen Lowery's portfolio of restaurants who also own The Deli and Eirie Cafe. Walking in you notice the stunning high ceilings and the modern interior straight away....
Great little cafe out in the eastern suburbs of Adelaide. A short drive out of the city in the direction of Norton Summit. The cafe is a bright, airy space with plenty of tables and a section by the windows where patrons can sit on the high stools and watch the traffic/people go by.
The young waitress came by with the menus, took our order and the food was prepared and brought out without too much delay. The food was tasty, the portions were of a good size and the coffee was very good 👍
The ambience of this cafe is pleasant and it was busy at that time of the day. There were a few small groups of people who seemed to be regulars at this cafe.
When it came time to leave, I walked up to the front counter and settled the tab with the young gentleman who seemed to be the chef/owner of this cafe.
Can definitely recommend this cafe to anyone looking for a nice cup of coffee ☕ and some delicious food when in the area.
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Came here after our hike up Morialta and it's such a delight that we found this place! Such a nice variety of brunch food, mixing Japanese, Korean with Australian food!
Def's my favourite place to have smash avo! If you like tangy and a little of spice then this one is a must!
Their Big Breakkie is huge, so you better be real hungry to tackle this one!
The mochi donut Benedict is a must try as well! It surprisingly really good!
Potato pancake was defs filling but so good!
Such a great place for brunch with great service and chill vibes.
Amazing! Hibernia have done the impossible, the food tasted as good as it looked. If your heading back from Morialta Falls after a morning hike, wanting to treat yourself to a job well done. Look no further!
We will be back.
This has been my local Cafe for the past year,
Amazing coffee, food and customer service..
Its very rare for a Cafe to break the mold and stand out in the industry.. Hibernia does that without question with its unique menu, beautiful, bright interior and friendly staff.
Thank you team, keep up the great work!
Awesome food. It took along time for food to come out but the wait was worth it and considering there was only one cook/chef on ad it was busy, he did a fantastic job. We will definitely be back
One of the best place for coffee and yummy breakfast, really good place to hang out, cosy environment, good service and great food
Enjoyable food. Lovely waitress. Coffee disappointing. Strange decor - but hey, we’re all different! Thankyou for a delicious lunch. Still giving a 5 star because - months of roadworks and loss of revenue - your patience is recognised - feel for you - support your locals Magill💪🏻🎶🌻🍀
Pretty plate, delicious food, love the chewy mochi donut that makes the dish special in Braised beef cheek
