Whilst the Pines looks classy and has friendly staff the food was nothing short of disappointing. When ordering a $36 steak I expect a premium cut - not something that resembles the cold cuts section at Coles. Additionally when I order a medium steak I don’t expect to see the meat leaking juices and still red. That was the most rare steak I’ve ever seen. The vegetables on the plate were few and old. Speaking of old we were given an out of date ginger ale and a flat lemonade. The wedges were also inedible and the sour cream resembled butter. The prawn and crab dishes look to be frozen package meals from Coles’ frozen foods section too. Overall for a bill that came to upwards of $170 for 4 people this was nothing short of disgusting. Not what you expect when they charge these prices. Either hire a decent chef and change your supplier or be honest with your prices.
