I ordered delivery brunch from here and got myself the corn fritters with avocado and kimchi salsa, poached egg and chicken sausage. The food was tasty and I liked the interesting mix of flavours. The only issue for me was that the corn fritters were a little overcooked (charred) on the bottom.
Overall rating: 4.5
This cute little cafe caught my attention with their Asian inspired brunch and we had to go visit.
Staff were super friendly and helped me choose a dish because I was so indecisive with their elaborate and interesting menu. They serve traditional breakfast and lunch dishes such as sourdough toast and jam, bruschetta, oats, but they also add an Asian twist to some of these classics, such as their breakfast claypot and Korean burgers.
Mozzarella corn fritters: My favourite dish because of how amazing different ingredients are untraditionally combined to create a balanced dish. The corn fritters were crispy and nicely seasoned, and the avo on top gave it a nice creamy contrasting texture. What surprised me was the sweet pumpkin sauce that paired unexpectedly well and almost heavenly. The chicken sausage was cooked perfectly, and the egg was a great addition onto the fritter. Very filling despite its deceiving size.
Tasmanian smoked salmon: The balance of flavour was spot. The classic smoked salmon, smashed avo, and salty feta was enhanced by the mango and chilli jam. It was sweet, sour and spicy, giving the classic dish an entirely new rollercoaster of flavours. The buttery rosti changed the entire dish and it just worked.
Chloe's French Toast: There were different degrees of sweetness from the passion fruit custard, caramelised banana and the cinnamon brioche sandwich, which was so yummy but a bit heavy on the mouth after eating a very filling main dish. The almond crumble gave the dish texture and that hint of nuttiness which I love. The blueberries and strawberries were not as fresh as I would have preferred.
Would love to return and try their other dishes and drinks on their exciting menu!

A cute little cafe did really well to have us given the restrictions. The staff were lovely and the menu was quite simple but had the classics brunch options.
Went for an early breakfast this morn. Good to see cafe enforcing covid protocols. Taking details, spacing the tables etc. I do wish they would close the door though. It was waaaayyy too cold. 🥶 Luckily the food and quick service made up for it.
I got the following:
White peony tea
Perfect to help me warm up, nice subtle flavour.
Mozzarella corn fitters
Excellent corn to fritter balance. Didn’t fall apart, good corn flavour in dish, not too greasy. I know it’s a big statement by I stand by it: prob one of the best corn fritters I’ve had. Great flavour and perfect accompaniments. The kimchi was yum and subtle, as were the pickled radishes. The sausage and egg: perfect additions also👌🏽 didn’t miss the typical bacon. Dish was perfect serving size. Looked small when it initially came out compared to my friends beans but it was deceivingly filling without being heavy.
Overall great little find of a cafe.
Nice suburban cafe. Plenty of space and prompt service. Coffee is decent, I’ve also ordered coffee via ubereats and is consistent quality
Small brunch place serving asian inspired dishes. The food are great and of generous portions. The staff are friendly and very accommodating too. Easy to find parking as located on the main Street
Can’t go wrong with any dish!!
Delicious affordable food !
Service here was polite and quick, and whilst the Reuben sandwich that I got didn't taste like a traditional Reuben it was very tasty and an interesting take on one. My gf also enjoyed her breakfast mushroom dish she got
Extremely friendly service, amazing food. The Chilly Scrambled Eggs and Breakfast Claypot is a must try. Very satisfied! The service is very fast and the coffee is also very good.
It was awesome experience having branch in the neighbourhood, great coffee and nice plating, definitely recommended way of starting a new day.
Love this place! Every time I’ve been here has been extremely tasty and satisfying. One of the few cafes around the area I am completely happy to pay a bit more for.
Been there twice with my 2 yo and wife. Had various food and our taste buds loves them (chilli crab and pancake are must-try dish). Love the environment and the service is awesome.. definitely worth traveling half an hour for that!!
Absolutely Delicious, well presented combine with good quality food. Can taste the difference. The flavours are just right. Perfect! *thumbs*
I had the Gua Bao and a matcha latte for lunch.
Gua Bao is not into my personal liking but it is good if you are into sweet savoury taste! The bao has peanut sauce so it does have a Malaysian satay taste.
Matcha latte is perfect! One of the good ones I’ve tried.
Staff are friendly and the ambiance is nicely relaxing.
Nice little cafe, offering modern Asian breakfast. Only drawback is when crowded, this place gets noisy. Having said that, food makes up for it.
Your local neighbourhood cafe with coffee roastery and asian inspired menu. The food options was interesting and delicious, as they offered some menu that you don’t usually have in other breakfast place (chili crab for breakfast? Yes please)
Great coffee roasted in-house, and an interesting menu with some Asian inspired dishes. Very cosy interior, with a great timber wall feature.
Very busy cafe on weekends. Staffs were very friendly and service was on point. Coffee was awesome. Roasting their beans onsite. We had Tasmania smoked salmon and Yuzu egg benedicts with XO sauce pork belly. Both of dishes were amazing! Excellent spot for good coffee and food. Worth a visit. Definitely will be back.
Went here with one of my friend last week. Probably my first time trying out asian brunch style within the area. The outcome wasnt that bad. It was indeed kind of good! The rating of this shop says it all. Worth their 4.1 quality!
Will be back to try more of their items.

Fusion Asian and European cafe. Coffee has excellent aroma. Mushroom dish with mushroom puree is favoured as named. Friendly staff. Could improve with more brave use of seaweed, Asian herbs etc.
By far my favourite cafe in the Malvern East area at the moment. Fast and friendly service, creative meals and addictive coffees. I love the fusion in the food and am constantly surprised by the creativity of the menu and flavours.
Ordered the matcha latte with almond milk which tasted amazing and came in a large mug. Also ordered the magic mushrooms which I could not fault, the shiitake purée was a unique twist to the dish. I loved the Asian fusion menu here and would definitely come back if I'm looking for something diff near the chadstone area!
Was interested to try their pork belly eggs benedict and singaporean chilli crab croissant. The food was definitely different from the usual brunch menu - quite creative! The pork belly eggs benedict was very flavourful! Except the toast was abit too toasted for my liking - was really difficult to cut in to. The pork belly was soft and succulent. The eggs were cooked to perfection. The apple on top added a refreshing taste to it. The dish didn’t taste as heavy as it sounded like.
The singaporean soft shell chilli crab croissant was quite unique! The sauce had a tint of spiciness that accommodated the crackers that were spread around the plate. I loved that there were fresh chillies that were actually spicy - it went very well with the soft shell crab and the croissant.
The prices are reasonable here, especially for the quality you pay. They have both indoor and outdoor seating. Service is pretty good. Definitely worth trying their menu as they have some pretty unique dishes!
Oh my goodness, that lamb salad is the BEST EVER! I will come back again and again just for that salad.
SERVICE: 4/5
Lovely warm greeting by the Manager (?) however the young waitress that we had was just unenthusiastic and not very helpful with questions. I think it may've just been her though. Our whole order arrived surprisingly quick considering how beautiful every dish was presented.
FOOD: 5/5
I could not fault the lamb salad that I had. It was a perfect dish. So pleasing to the eye, pretty as a picture with so many elements but all doing their part in the perfect marriage. The flavour and textures were just next level memorable and I will definitely come back just for this. At $18.50 a plate, it is a work of art, hearty without being heavy and down right satisfying. If you love lamb salad, this one is for you!
I also had a taste if the breakfast ramen which again was flavoursome without being overly salty. The broth was clear and tasted fresh and wholesome.
Raspberry mojito with interesting popping pearls to was it all down followed by a matcha latte which was velvety smooth. Every single thing I had was absolutely AH-MA-ZING!
DECOR & AMBIENCE: 3/5
A cosy intimate space with a simplistic feel. You are pretty much sitting shoulder to shoulder with others so leave your personal space complexes at home because the food is worth the sacrifice!
KID FRIENDLY: Not quite, very crowded and tight space to bring the kiddies. Save this one for brunch with the girls!
Was introduced to this place by my sister. I've driven by this unassuming place so was very pleasantly surprised. Given it was a cold cloudy day, I couldn't go past the breakfast ramen. It was so fragrant and delicious - the broth was rich and the ramen was perfectly done. The serving size was extremely generous, I could barely get through the bowl. They also do almond milk lattes well which isn't always the case at cafes. Highly recommend!
Selected this cafe for a late lunch catch up as their menu looked different from the usual avo smash and eggs hollandaise. Pictured are the mozarella corn fritters and mixed mushrooms on toast. The mushroom toast was outstanding. Take something simple and bring it to the next level. I counted at least 3 different varieties of mushroon and together with the mushroom puree, it's a mushroom lovers delight. Corn fritters were crispy and paired well with the kimchi and tomato salsa. Other companions havd the chilli soft shell crab and yuzu eggs hollandaise. Feedback was a very tasty feed. Looking forward to trying other dishes on the menu.
Honestly picked this brunch joint because I was on my way to chadstone but my how I was surprised on this little gem! I read a couple reviews about the breakfast ramen and the pork was succulent and tender. The pork belly egg Benedict was a lovely mix of apple and pomegranate and the soft shell croissant wasn’t too chilli and a worked really well with the prawn crackers. The sodas were very refreshing and was a nice surprise with popping pearls! Highly recommend, wish I had room for dessert. Definitely coming back!
Been here a few times and is a great weekend spot to grab a really good coffee. Food is super tasty, with a nice variety to choose from in a modern setting.
Amongst the many brunch places in Melbourne, we’ve yet again found another winner. Little Chloe is located on the more quiet end of Malvern Rd in Malvern East so parking wasn’t an issue when we arrived. This meant fast and easy access to glorious food!. Upon entering, my first impression was that it was quite spacious for a cafe. The decor was modern and clean, and we were greeted by friendly staff and seated straight away. We were excited by the menu because it had unique items that you wouldn’t normally see for a brunch style cafe.
Absolutely delicious smashed avo- best I have had! Will definitely visit again.
The cafe seems like a popular one around town as the place was almost full by 11am. Not a coffee drinker however the Gentleman next to me ordered two lattes; one after the other- must be a sign!
FAREJOURNAL X LITTLE CHLOE
A NEIGHBOURHOOD GEM.
Little Chloe is located in the sleepy neighbourhood of East Malvern- despite this, the food here can outdo most if not all in the vicinity. Located off a busy road, the cafe is light filled, with relaxed service and an open floor-plan. Upon our visit, we had the pleasure of meeting the owner- who was really polite and completely immersed in what this humble yet hip establishment had to offer. As far as coffee goes, Bonsoy and Milklab for the almond drinker- Their single origin is roasted on site. REPEAT.
Coffee. Roasted. On. Site.
How Melbourne. Coffee was delicious and latte-art on point. ALSO, freshly squeezed orange juice- quality, quality, quality. With respect to the food, this was absolutely overwhelming. We shared the Tasmanian Smoked Salmon with mango and lime chutney, smashed avocado, potato rosti, fetta and a soft poached egg. The rosti was rectangular and kept its shape very well. For the price of the meal, and the quality of ingredients offered, it is beyond reasonable. Each component of the dish blended well and was a delicious mouthful each bite. Everything was seasoned well, bringing out each flavour.
We also shared the Hotcake special- something for the sweet tooth. As far as a hotcake goes it wasn’t too fluffy that it couldn’t be finished, as was decorated with popping pearls, slivered almonds, carob flakes and edible flowers- not to mention the vanilla ice cream and waffle cone. The hotcake is moist and the serving size was just right.
Just when we thought we had ordered enough we couldn’t go past the Matcha Panna Cotta Granola. The granola was crunchy with a fantastic mix of both fresh and freeze dried berries. It maintained the ground matcha bitterness however with a sweet component and caramelised bananas. This would be an ideal start to the morning, with the properties of matcha being fantastic for the metabolism and detoxifying.
All round a great spot and a neighbourhood gem. Great for a quiet weekday breakfast or a weekend spot for families. Seating is limited indoors with an outdoor area accommodating for more guests. Ambience existent, food quality great. Ask about the coffee for their most recent roast.

The service at Little Chloe’s was friendly and laid back. The meals are unique, tasty and well presented. Would happily recommend this venue to others.
An overall great cafe; modern sleek ambiance and decor, decent coffee, delicious modern Australian/brunch-type meals made with fresh, high-quality ingredients (loved the smoked salmon!).
The food was so delicious and the service was great. There is nothing super new or unique about this cafe, however if you are looking for a good meal- Little Chloe can provide that! I liked the cafe- it is small and cosy and perfect for intimate meetings!
> Brekky Board with granola and yoghurt bowl, smashed avocado on seeded toast, poached egg, orange juice AND Buttermilk Pancake with fresh berries, lemon cream cheese, almond, burnt marshmallow, berry coulis AND Chloe’s Yuzu benedict (Choice of XO sauced pork belly or smoked salmon) poached eggs, yuzu and apple cider hollandaise, fresh apple, pomegranate AND Oats and linseed porridge with poached pear, berries, quinoa, seeds and nuts, dark maple syrup <
Amongst the suburb of Malvern lies a large café with some incredible food. Little Chloe is a very spacious café with different areas, so the vibe is different depending on where you sit. There are booths in the corner so you can have a quieter and private brunch, there is the main area where you get the typical café vibe, and the outdoor area where you can enjoy the sun with a pet and watch the cars drive past. The staff are so lovely here and are constantly checking up to see if you require anything else. The portion size of the food is quite substantial and very filling, so I can assure you will not leave hungry! We decided to try a variety of dishes to really showcase their extensive menu.
I don’t think anyone will be surprised that we choose the breakfast board. It’s always the perfect meal to get if you can’t decide what you want to try, and you don’t get sick of eating one massive meal. The mini granola and yogurt bowl was super cute, but don’t let the size fool you! The granola is nice and sweet, and there is a lot in there! The yogurt works perfectly with the granola as it is quite neutral and not too overpowering, which allows for the berries to add an element of sweet/sour. The addition of smashed avocado on this board is genius. They really understand the dilemma people have when choosing what to order because they have chosen the two most popular dishes and juice that everyone wants to eat all at once. The avocado was quite thick and the toast was nice and crunchy. The poached egg was a great addition to make the meal more substantial and tomato is always great to add flavour to any avocado dish. The orange juice is perfect to wash these two delicious meals down, however, it is quite small so I would order another drink to stay hydrated.
The buttermilk pancakes were very tasty and packed with flavour. They were quite thick so the ice cream helped to break down this thick texture. The berry coulis was super sweet and added so much flavour to this dish. The consistency of it was nice and smooth which melted nicely into the pancakes. The fresh fruit helped to freshen the dish up and the lemon cream cheese added a nice citrus kick to the dish. This is quite a filling dish but you just don’t want to stop eating it because the flavours dance in your mouth!
The pork belly benedict was a must order for us because you know how obsessed with benedict dishes we are! The pork was cooked nicely and the sauce was very sweet and everything just melted in your mouth. To add to the sweetness the apples added a nice sweet crunch to the dish, which was quite interesting yet worked so well! The hollandaise was a great contrast to these sweet flavours as it toned the dish down and counteracted the overpowering flavours.
As the weather has been a bit off, we decided to try the porridge. The portion size of this dish was massive so of course it was extremely filling! The porridge is nice and creamy and the texture is perfect. The maple syrup made the dish quite sweet and added so much flavour to the meal. The fresh berries helped to lighten the dish up and make it more substantial.
Overall, we really enjoyed all four dishes and could recommend any of them because we were not disappointed with any of them. This is a really welcoming café and if you’re in the area, or even driving past, it is worth popping in for a quick bite to eat or even a coffee.

Little Chloe, what a coffee! Exceptional macha latte and friendly service.
Had my bennie which was served on crusty sourdough :| and smoked salmon was packet fair, I guess over expected when I saw Yuzu/Japanese staff. Smashed avo was good.
Oh well, gotta give it another go least for that coffee.
Love this place. Some of the best coffee in the area. Friendly efficient service and the food is delicious. If it's still available on their menu, try the pork belly or salmon yuzu egg breakfast. Brilliant.
Limited menu but what they have is fantastic! The salmon dish is superbly plated with their in house chutney and the Benedict is one of the best in melbourne. Just stay away from the pork belly!
Really enjoyed my experience here. Had a latte and the eggs Benedict. Both delicious. I wish the menu was a bit larger, but I will be coming back again
One of my favourite brunch spots - friendly staff, excellent service and yummy food. The salmon with mango chutney is one of my favourites. They aren't too crowded on a weekend so it's always easy to find a seat.
Came for breakfast on Saturday morning. It was quiet when we arrived but packed by the time we left. Service was great and pork belly eggs Benedict was yum!! Will go back when in the area.
It was probably around 1pm when we got to Little Chloe and it was mostly full. Thankfully, we didn’t have to wait for a table and were seated right away. I noticed from the moment we walked in that the staff were attentive, warm, and welcoming!
We ordered coffees to start. My almond cappuccino was made well – a good temperature, not burnt, and there was no weird almond flavour that some places have when they use almond milk. I can’t put my finger on it, but it’s something I’m always wary of.
The first item on the menu was quick to grab our attention – COFFEE INFUSED BANANA BREAD. I love coffee, I love banana bread. This has to be the most perfect thing ever, I thought. At that moment
C & I were on the way to Chaddie and we thought, why not stop somewhere on the way for brunch? Little Chloe was directly across a car wash place and we managed to get a park straightaway.
Ordered my matcha latte with extra shot but he probably thought I wanted it separately hehe, looked so pretty though! C had his extra shot mocha as usual. I was very tempted to order the French toast special but not really feeling like sweets so I ordered my standard scrambled eggs on toast with avocado. C ordered the smoke salmon with Potato rosti. We were both very satisfied with the food and coffee there. C said his salmon portion is a little small but the flavour definitely made up for it. Great service, great food. We will be back again when we are on this side of town :)
Coffee was really acidic for my taste and didnt really enjoy it. However, tried the muhsroom dish and it was very nice! Mushrooms done 3 ways - pickled, sauteed, paste and was excellent! Will come back for the food, but not coffee
Best place for breakfast I've found in a long time .
Food is top top quality (eggs bene with either pulled pork or salmon is delicious) must get a Rosti on the side too- They're Rosti is kick arse crunchy and delicious with good seasoning.
Quick efficient staff, attentive and nice, high quality produce, good amount of space - is a loud Cafe so if you or your loved ones suffer from sensitive ears ... we'll get over it as it's worth it for the food you sook.
If I hear anyone complain about price you guys are whinging winy want it alls! Probably the people who say "a 5 star review is not possible as nothing is perfect" seriously the pricing is very reasonable for the produce, location and wonderful staff.
MUST MUST MUST try ! Is now one of my regular breakfast spots.
Good job "little Chloe" well done sir's/madams

Straya the greatest !!
I've been here plenty of times over the years and the food has always been consistently good. Today we had the corn fritters and smoked salmon which were both tasty and filling.
Chai latte was tasty and served with little pot of honey, but the coffee wasn't the greatest we've had- a little bit weak. If you've got the entertainment book, there's a voucher for an extra bonus!
Service has always been friendly and unobtrusive, only downside is that tables are packed in pretty tightly so if it's busy it can be difficult to hear.
Cute little place in Malvern East - it's a korean fusion Cafe! Been here twice, the Eggs Benedict is always a safe choice, tangy and tasty! The mushroom on toast is also a great choice. Pricing is a little steep for the quality of the food but then again it is standard Cafe menu pricing. Good coffee though!
I came here twice and I haven't been disappointed by either coffee or customer service here.
At the first time, I had pork belly which was over cooked and dry and served with creamy coconut rice. But the chef controlled the fat portion to keep the meat moist and soft.
Tassie smoked salmon was beautiful presented with running cut poached eggs. Love it!
Stopped here on the way to Chadstone and had a late brunch on Anzac Day (10% surcharge applies on public holidays, which is quite common).
Waiting staff were friendly and efficient and orders were taken promptly.
The Big Breakkie was fairly standard. The homemade potato rosti was a nice touch. I had the Satay pork belly. Great if you have a big appetite. Three generous pieces of tender pork belly smothered in slightly sweet satay sauce with spicy peanuts and coconut rice. I realised I was too ambitious to be having something like this for that time of the day as my body was still waking up. The dish was overall delicious however the crackling was quite stale and wasn’t crunching at all. They were on the plate more for visual pleasure.
The entertainment book led me to Little Chloe in Malvern! I had a delicious Classic BLT, but I stole few bites of my sister's hot cakes! They were amazing! The toasted marshmallows and lemon curd were absolutely delish, so sweet but so good! And even better yet you can book ahead online!
Located on the main road and quite easy to miss if you don't look for it carefully! We really enjoyed both our dishes. Had the sous vide beef with potatoes - well seasoned and beautifully presented . Hubby had the Asian inspired pork belly with satay sauce and crackling - boy it was crackling like fireworks throughout the meal!
Stumbled across the store purely by accident; now thus store has become one of my favourites. Never disappointed by the coffee and the service is always pleasant. The butter milk pancakes I had today was unfortunately a little bit dense, but the plating is neat and pretty. Will definitely come back again and try something else on the menu next time.
+Been there a few times- quite like their Tasmanian salmon and egg benedict.
+Friendly staff
+great coffee too!
+they now also have an outside seating with umbrella- nice option to sitting indoor
- Only downside is that kitchen doesn't seem to be well ventilated and it could get a bit oily smell if they are deep frying at the back- depends where you seat, it can also be a little noisy
One of the better breakfasts I've had. Sourdough, XO sauce pork belly (lots of pork belly which is a huge win), poached eggs, hollandaise, shredded apple and pomegranate. Really friendly staff and great service, roasting their own coffee onsite but I was a couple down already so went for a lemongrass and ginger tea which was really good. Can't fault this brekky apart from the fact I have to burn it off my porky stomach now!
Great coffee! Barista confirmed they were serving the Columbian blend. Food was presented well and tasted fresh and full of flavour. Good attentive service too.
BASED ON COFFEE - The Whippeteers are 'FORCED' to give 5/5!
"Little Chloe" - named after the owners daughter gives great/chilled service.
Today we sampled:
"The House Blend" - Rich, well balanced, caramel/chocolate & blackcurrant. Could we taste it all? Dunno, but it was strong/complex/luscious. FABULOUS!
and also the
"YIRGACHEFFE ARICHA" Ethiopian. Very creamy/jammy/lotsa fruity notes/floral long sweet finish. We got a double shot as it's not so strong when made into a Latte. GORGEOUS!
Ps great spot to bring your dog. Wasabi 'the super pup' (now 2.5yrs old, maybe we need another nickname? Any suggestions appreciated!)...well she LOVED meeting lotsa dogs/kids/people!
Little Chloe Cafe has always been one of my favourite go-to local brunch places, especially after a night out when I don’t feel like travelling far. Located on Malvern Road, this cafe is situated amongst a strip of shops, with plenty of natural sunlight by my favourite window seatings topped with a good mix of food options inside.
3 minute walk from Darling station, conveniently located and easy to find. Service is great and food is fused with Asian flavours to satisfy different taste buds. Little Chloe's is a local favourite of mine, especially their salmon dish. :)
Just had breakfast at this lovely little cafe. Food was absolutely delicious, fresh and tasty. Food arrived quickly. Wait staff were attentive but not overbearing. Would definitely return.
Didn't expect it to be do good considering the location. My toasty was amazing - exceeded expectations of a normal toasty. My 3y.o. Had the kids menu pancakes, maple, strawberries. The drinks came a little late; with our food instead of before, so we got them for free! Nice. Will be back :)
Came in for lunch , though it would be quiet in consider of the location . What's surprising us is it's quite busy and popular. I had the smoked salmon on potato Rosti , my husband had the satay pork belly.we also order English breakfast tea with milk and latte . What s rally sweet is the waitress will ask you if you want your milk served hot or cold . I definitely love the hot milk to keep my tea warm . The food taste a bit more like south east Asia style fusion, my hubby love it ! Great service & nice food & elegant decor.
I came here based on good reviews I had read and was not disappointed. My mum and I both had the Oats, linseed, quinoa and almond porridge with poached pear and strawberries. It was a lovely warm breakfast for a cold Saturday morning. It was full of flavour and the perfect consistency.
Cute little cafe that has been very nicely decorated. Will be back!
Succinct honest menu (pork belly and the burger were excellent, lamb quinoa salad was ok) along with some good coffee...i don't reckon one needs to search any further for a better if you live locally.
The burger was quite decent. Very fresh and soft brioche bun that was ever so lightly toasted. The beef and pork mince patty was full of flavour and seasoned almost perfectly.
The chips were fried pretty much perfect in my books. Very simple hand cut potatoes, fried to crispy outside and soft and fluffy inside.
Not a bad brunch place with an Asian influence. Execution for the most part was pretty on point.

This little local cafe is a great find. Whether its with your friends or family, you will throughly enjoy every part of your cafe experience. From the friendly wait staff & barista, to the amazing coffee selection that is roasted in-house, all the way through to their innovative seasonal all day breakfast & lunch menu that oozes in flavour & will definitely satisfy even the fussiest of taste buds.
Refreshing and creamy. Just the right amount of coffee flavour and sweetness from the ice cream. 8/10. Tasmanian Smoked Salmon on a Potato Rosti with Mango and Green Tea Chutney, Smashed Avocado & Persian Feta, Pomergranate and a Poached Egg $17.50. The Rosti was super light and crispy. Perfect contrast with the smooth and creamy avocado. Egg was cooked perfectly. The chutney was a bit too sweet and didn’t seem to go that well with the other parts of the dish. 7/10
I was early to a meeting so I decided to come in for coffee, it's a nice little cafe with cute interior, great atmosphere and friendly service (though the waiter seemed quite lost). I ordered the chilli scrambled eggs and a chai latte (shame they don't have vanilla for vanilla lattes). The scrambled eggs definitely filled me up. I usually don't like oily bacon on my plate, but they did a very good job. I'll most likely revisit this place whenever I'm close by.

You know the coffee will be good when they roast their own beans! Very friendly staff, great food options (especially if you ask for an adult serve of the kids 'cheese on toast'). This place is always buzzing with people, and a lot of regulars, which speaks for the consistent quality.
Absolutely amazing find! First thing you notice when you walk in is the wooden panel feature wall, gives the whole place it's unique vibe.
I had the corn fritters with corn and chicken sausages - one of the best breakfast dishes I've had in ages! The fritters were done to perfection, complimented excellently by the sambal chutney and the poached eggs. The salad was also done really nicely as well with a really tasty dressing.
Coffee was well made, efficient and friendly service.
Very impressed!
Came here for Sunday brunch and was promptly seated. The decor consists of wooden panels, wooden tables and chairs; and large glass windows run along the front facade. And it is perhaps due to the windows and the place being almost at capacity, I found the place quite noisy. At times I had to strain to hear my dining partner talk it was that loud.
I ordered the corn fritters and enjoyed the meal. The chicken sausage was delightful, the corn fritters the standout of the dish, and the simple salad balanced out the meal.
The let down in this experience was when we went to pay. My dining partner had ordered the breakfast toasty but asked to swap out the egg and ham for a corn fritter. My friend's meal was rung up as $12.50 (basically a salad in bread) and charged $5 for a corn fritter. We questioned why it wasn't $15.50 as the request had been to swap over the item/s. The cashier appeared righteous with her calculations explaining the charge. A guy who might've been the manager quickly came over and instructed the cashier to adjust the price so all was sorted out in the end. Overall, good food at reasonable prices but watch out for being overcharged if you make variations to their meals.
Eat the toasty (with your mouth) drink the coffee (however you like). The staff are highly attractive and get most of the stars in this review!
Dropped in for lunch and enjoyed a perfect dining experience.
Coffees were incredible and the food was just as good. My Thai beef salad made from fresh ingredients, bigger flavours than I could imagine, with medium-rare beef slices that were as good as any of our cities best steak restaurants. Kate's breakfast meal was also spot on.
Don't be put off by the blank external look, the service and food here is as good as any.
The food was the best I've tasted brunch in Melbourne. Chilli scramble was awesome and avocado dish was awesome as well f
My mum and I came here for lunch today after having a positive experience the last time we visited. It was relatively quiet so our coffees came quickly which tasted pretty average. However, when our meals came soon after they looked amazing! Presentation was definitely on point. I ordered the satay pork from the lunch menu and found it to be delicious. My mum, on the other hand, ordered the Bircher muesli but found it was quite dry and gluggy. Perhaps this was because it was reaching 3pm when we ordered and it had been prepared closer to breakfast. There was good service from the friendly staff though and I left feeling reasonably satisfied.
Average cafe food. I'm surprised there's no air conditioning today which means extremely hot having hot meal & coffee.
Maybe will go back in a cool day for a coffee next time.
Came here with my mum on new year's eve for breakfast.
First impression:
Cosy, plenty of sunlight, vibrant, not too busy and welcoming staff.
Menu:
We tried the buttermilk pancakes with black/blue/strawberry, lemon cream cheese, macadamia, honeycomb and blueberry syrup. You can also add $1.50 for a scoop of vanilla ice cream, which we did.
Result: The pancakes were very nice, though I would minus the walnuts next time. The taste did not really go well with the pancakes and other flavours.
Overall: Fast service, Well presented, easy parking.
Highly recommend trying out this cafe if in the area.
Perfect coffee
Poached eggs on sourdough thank god 4 thinly sliced bread... with field mushies could not have been better
Always this good and nice friendly staff to boot.
Fantastic food and coffee. The menu is regularly changing which is great for frequent visitors including myself. Staff are great and always smiling :)
Thanks for a lovely breakfast and very warming and friendly staff!! c:
Also waiter with longish kinda hair, personality skills and humor on point! c:
Came here with my parents a few months ago. Great coffee. My porridge was delicious and not overly sweet, which is something that tends to be a problem at a lot of cafes. The Japanese curry was a little too salty. The lamb quinoa salad received a lot of praise from my mum.
Love pancakes here, my favourite, just add a scoop of ice cream. Enjoy my coffee here and love the vibe and decor. Pork stir fry is my other favourite. We'll visit again soon. Service is quick, can be rather busy on weekend during busy hours.
Excellent services, good food if you like brunch with Asian twist to it. Very nice environment and friendly staff. My family and I think that the food is beyond our expectations for sure!
Nice local B & E Est. Friendly staff and great service. Not just your standard menu either; nice change. Very child appropriate too. Go the Chili scram!
The menu at Little Chloe offers an interesting selection of fusion dishes. The menu also offers the flexibility of ordering lunch dishes from 10am, which was convenient for the non-egg eaters in our group.
We had the breakfast toasty, porridge and lamb pappardelle. The pappardelle was tasty, but the pasta was a little undercooked. The porridge was excellent. I had the breakfast toasty, which was enjoyable, but nothing out of the ordinary. Coffee was average.
Overall, service was friendly and prices were reasonable. However, we were surprised that asking for a sprinkling of chocolate on a flat white warranted an additional charge of 30c. While we didn't mind paying for this, we didn't understand the logic behind this since a flat white and cappuccino are the same price on the menu.
Acav will probably be back.
Friendly local cafe, with great coffee! Lots of yummy food options, with an Asian twist. Just love the chilli scrambled eggs!! My new favorite brekky spot.
Excellent coffee and pork belly for breakfast;) Service always brilliant and unusual varied options works a real treat
Highly recommended and lunch also a real treat
Tried Little Chloe for the first time on a Saturday morning. We were seated straight away and had coffees in front of us within 10 minutes. Coffee was delish. The menu is so creative, loads of flavours with a hint of Asian influence. I love the fact that it's seasonal. The atmosphere is friendly and inviting. Staff are very efficient and helpful. Definitely will be back again.
Great local cafe, with good food at a decent price and solid coffee for the coffee addicts. The atmosphere is good and the waiters are attentive. It is my cafe of choice for a local catch with friends.
One of my favourite places for my long black and brunch in Melbourne. Absolutely love it! Service efficient, girl waiter always very helpful. Coffee was spot on. Weekend can be busy, tips come early! We'll visit soon
Nice spot and reminds me of NYC. Really nice food, decor and service. There's booths so you can have private conversations or family time. Enjoy.
My dining companion chose the ‘Tasmanian smoked salmon on a potato rosti with mango and green tea chutney, smashed avocado and Persian fetta, and a poached egg ($17.50)’.
What a little gem - my new favourite breakfast place!. Have been meaning to go to this place for a while since seeing the 'buy 1 get 1 free' voucher in the entertainment book. It has everything I love in a breakfast cafe, including a seasonal menu (all day breakfast) & a good kids menu ($6.50-$7.50). If there are corn fritters (with 2 poached eggs $16.50), I will order them. This dish was way to big for me - I only ate half. In saying that, it was yummy, although still not as good as Nshry. But it is close to home, so I forgive. The chilli scrambled eggs with bacon ($15.50) was delicious, too. However, the bacon was just a small garnish, so we ordered an extra side ($4.50) - which was more than enough. We were seated in a back corner booth with an ikea high chair at the end. This was ideal for us as a small family. The coffee is also delicious. So much more on the menu and being in the 'burbs makes is quite reasonably priced. Next time, I will try the Big breakfast and smoked salmon potato rosti. We just could not fault the service, coffee or food. We will definitely be back.
Best coffee in the region by far! Friendly staff and delicious food... If you choose to have breakie, brunch or just a coffee... you won't be disappointed.
This is one of my favorite places to eat in Melbourne, let alone East Malvern. Coffee and food is both amazing. The gluttonous pork buns are literally the best thing you will ever experience. I find the coffee is best with little milk, magic is perfect. The staff are super nice and always greet me by my name after seeing my nametag from work a while ago. The fitout is really pleasant with all that nice mid century furniture. I'm not here as much as I wish I was anymore due to new working hours, but I always try and get a coffee from here when I'm in the area.
Fantasticly consistent. Best coffee and scrambled eggs in Melbourne
But a little hit and miss.... Second time here and unfortunately the service was ordinary again.
Breakfast toastie was to die for. Good quality ingredients with flavours that worked well together. Avocado was a surprise addition complimenting the bacon and the other ingredients.
The large coffee was hardly a large, only three quarters full. and lukewarm.
Pancakes were disappointing to say the least. Lemon curd seemed more like lemon flavoured syrup. Three stacked pancakes with no filling resulted in a mound of dough that was rather bland and dry. The berry compote doesn't deserve a mention.

...we have been there a few times and always enjoyed the food and the coffee. They do all their roasting on site like a lot of the other ones we go to. Good, fresh roasted beans. The place is quite kitschy with pour overs as lights. Our friend gave me his old SLR camera, which I am really grateful for. All my pictures today have been taken with it. We had two types of Pour Over Coffee's. Ethiopian and a Guatemalan. The Ethiopian was lighter and fruitier. The Guatemalan was a heavier coffee. Both delicious. I had the pancakes (more like pikelets), made with passion fruit, pears and maple syrup. It was still amazing. Kim had the Samon and poached egg, with feta and mango chutney. Mel had the Big breakfast with the eggs, bacon, sausages, beans on sourdough bread. Dolf got t
...Three little, light and fluffy pancakes, with generous amounts of not-too-sweet passionfruit curd and toasted muesli. It was the image of perfection! I really could not fault this dish – it was beautifully done, with the sweet and soft pears mixed with the crunch of the muesli and passionfruit seeds – absolutely delicious!

Little Chloe was my last brunch back in Melbourne. Was a well deserved treat after exams and stressful packing and moving. Malvern is quite a trek to get to from Clayton but luckily I'm at Holmesglen on Sundays so more opportunities for food adventures :)
Little Chloe's pork belly - $18 in homemade steam bun w/ carrot, daikon pickle, cucumber, coriander, peanuts & peking-style sauce with sides of red cabbage & wombok salad and king oyster mushrooms. My friend's allergic to peanuts and although she asked for no peanuts they still ended up in there. Luckily she picked it up early and the waiters were totally accommodating and apologetic. In terms of the flavours, it was amazing. I didn't care much for the sides but the steam buns themselves were light, loved the sauce and the pork was soft and flavoursome.
Quaint, modern brunch place worth a try. Tried their corn fritters and replaced chorizo with smoked salmon. One of the best corn fritters I've ever had the delight to taste! Yum
The best.. I adore this place. Cosy set up with a great vibe. The food is fresh, adventurous and delicious. Excellent coffee & lovely, efficient & accommodating staff.
Had a fairly good breakfast here, - the meals are good quality and pretty generous. I had the bircher muesli which was on the bland side and my wife went the pancakes which she enjoyed. Coffee is creamy and full of flavour, and the decor and fit out is good quality. A solid venue without being amazing, - would return again.
Love this place! Creative and yummy menu with friendly staff. Wish I had time to come here every week!!
Been many times now. Toddler friendly. Good food, good coffee, good service.
Delicious! I had the rosti with salmon and it was beautifully presented and tasted fresh and clean. Other half had the corn fritters which was also very nice.
Great breakfast. We both had the corn fritters.. Absolutely amazing.. If you have entertainment book, you get a meal for free also! Will be back!
Recommend ... spoilt for choice!. Headed to Little Chloe for brunch on Saturday with my aunt; my regular brunch companion. Hadn't been here before but it's in the Entertainment Book this year and, on checking Urbanspoon, it certainly looked worth a try. Would definitely recommend. The staff were very pleasant and quick to our take our coffee orders (even checking at what temp we wanted it!). Deciding on what dish to have was tough, with many appealing, but went with the smoked salmon + poached egg on roesti, smashed avocado & persian fetta with pomengrate and mango/green tea relish. It was a winner. Need to go back to try out other dishes!
Wow just wow! Been here a few times and always enjoyed it, but that smoked salmon on potato rosti is close to best breakfast I have ever had! Love your work Little Chloe!
Friendly staff, prompt service. Excellent food, so tasty. All day B'fast was welcomed. All meals at the table were thoroughly enjoyed and we finished with an excellent coffee. We'll definitely be back! Thank you Little Chloe's staff.
Great coffee roasted on premises. Well worth a visit!
Loved this cafe. Breaky and lunch menu is different and interesting. The meal I had was delicious
Another good local. The breakfast toastie is delicious, cheap and will fill you up.
chai is fresh leaves with a side of honey if you need more sweetness.
great staff and atmosphere.
Great all day breakfast place. Delicious food - on the menu they list some of the wonderful local producers they source their products from. Beautifully presented food, friendly staff and lovely atmosphere. Will be back again for sure!
Pleasant atmosphere, fantastic food, great coffee... I have been here a number of times now and have always been impressed by the service and food. I find it quite interesting that some reviewers keep giving Little Chloe the same bad reviews, yet seem to keep going there to eat and have coffees.
Anyway, the menu is diverse and the coffee very tasty. Keep it up the Little Chloe Team.
Great service and love the vibe of this place. Corn fritters were delicious and coffee was good. Will be back to try some of the other interesting things on the menu.
Always good service (fast and friendly, not instrusive but always attentive). Great coffee blends that change often so there is always something new to try. I like the scrambled eggs which they do very well. The muesli is excellent as is their corn fritters.
Good middle of the road effort.. The images for the restaurant look exactly like the meals. The space is nice but only for a group of 4 any more would be awkward and even at 4 it is tight. I had the corn fritters. And swapped the chorizo for smoked salmon and the waiter didn't blink . Good staffing. If the corn fritters where a bit thicker, the frying oil to corn ratio would have been better. The flavours of the fritter were very good just too thin, still a good effort. Coffee was fine. The place has a very metro vibe. Good place to meet anD chat with one friend. If your a real foodie and it is al about the breakfast then it is a 50/50 split. Offering wifi would keep people there longer . Pricing was fair for the quality. So, take a mate not your parents :) .
I stopped in for a coffee & slice & to charge my phone up. All three successfully accomplished, staff were helpful & friendly. Score!
Great little find in the suburbs. Good food and coffee but nothing spectacular. The pork belly buns are good but pricey at $18 for 2 buns. The service was generally good but the wait for coffee and food was quite long. Taking into account they are just starting up I'm sure they'll iron out this problem!
Satisfying breakfast in Malvern. Visited a couple of weeks ago and I had the corn fritters with poached eggs, chorizo, spinach and baked beans. This dish really hit the spot. The beans were al dente in a tomato sugo, the fritters nice and crispy, and good quality chorizo. A side of chips came served in a little wire basket -- cute. Coffee was magic, punchy espresso shot, silky microfoam. Busy but not frantic. I'll be back soon to try more of the menu.
Great breakfast. I ate breakfast at Little Chloe this morning. Coffee tasted delicious and was perfectly textured, just not quite as hot as I usually like it
Staff were warm and welcoming but took my plate away before others had finished.
Food was the standout though. The chorizo and mushroom omelette was great, and the goats cheese sprinkled over the top was a fantastic touch. My friend had the Breakfast roll which was also great.
All in all a nice experience. Definitely will return
Nice concept and atmosphere. Reasonably good location. Had the steak and pork belly. Pork belly buns were good (Taiwanese style buns) but is WAY overpriced. 18 dollars for what are two buns I think is ridiculous. I'd pay max 12 dollars. Steak was subpar, should ask how customers want their steaks cooked. Very good coffee though. All in all not bad but certainly have room for improvement.
A beautifully cooked risotto was perfect for such a gloomy day. Not to mention coffee is one of the best in town. Gotta love it :-)
I bought a voucher on Living Social and went to use it at Little Chloe today, I must say that we were very happy with the servise and food was really good. I had yellow prawn curry which was amazing and my husband had pasta. The enterior is modern and very cosy. I definately recomend this little place for a lunch or breaky!
Great cafe. I have been twice to LC, the staff are very good. They are helpful, thoughtful and efficient without being intrusive.
The coffee was excellent.
I don't know why some people don't like it. Little Chloe is a great small cafe with a terrific menu and great staff.
Kids menu is one of the best in town. No nuggets and chips!
Thank you Little Chloe for a wonderful experience! Lovely staff and amazing food. The Bircher was delicious and the coffee was so smooth. Will be back very soon!
Good work little Chloe. Love the place and the coffee is spot on... Passionate and it's obvious as soon as u walk in.
So CUTE inside with DELICIOUS food. Fantastic spot to grab a coffee or catch up with friends over brekky or lunch. Their menu offers something for everyone and the quality and presentation of the food impressed me. The service was also delightful so overall a perfect experience. I tried Cascara tea for the first time - yum! Will definitely go back and try more things on the menu.
Love this place! Great coffee, they have a serious set up here.
Previous reviewers, are you serious about 3.80 being expensive for a coffee? Places of this quality could charge $4 and it would still be cheap. If you want cheap coffee, go to Maccas.
Always a pleasurable experience.. I love their food and coffee. The service is very friendly and seem to know the menu inside out. The prices are a little high but they do use quality ingredients. The steak sandwich and chicken quinoa salad are my favorites. As it has just opened, i won't go too harsh on the non working air con as i am sure it will be fixed soon. They need some outdoor tables and chairs.
Love this place . My new favourite well done
Delicious food and cute and cozy atmosphere!
Little Chloe has a very whimsical garden theme: splashes of wood lined with lawn, round little tree trunks bounded in square tiles and soaring butterflies ascending into the clear skies. A shy fairy hiding about from the ingeniously suspended coffee filter-lights would have completed the picture.
Expensive Delicious Habit.

We had all heard good things about Little Chloe, and it turned out to be a great place, perfect for a long catchup. We struggled to choose what we wanted off the concise but tempting menu!
There aren't a lot of great breakfast cafes around my area and I'm always venturing off to other suburbs in hunt of a good feed. So I was excited to try Little Chloe that opened late last year under a block of apartments on Malvern Rd (Malvern East), close to where I live. It was a sunny morning and the sun was piercing through the glass windows making it a very bright & cheery atmosphere. It's not an overly big café and we were lucky to get a table on this busy Sat morning. The menu has Asian influences and they have had good write ups on their Pork Belly buns which I would usually go for but my all time favourite breakfast item 'Corn Fritters' trumped this option. The corn fritters are thin and are served with baked beans, spinach, chorizo & poached eggs. I didn't really feel like baked beans & chorizo that morning, so I changed it over to bacon and added a side of avocado & tomato salsa. The fritters were thin and crispy which is how I like them. It was a great breakfast, howev
I was pleasantly surprised to find traditional Chinese steamed buns juxtaposed with third wave coffees in a Melbourne brunch spot. How did the menu come about?
The food was delicious. A few of my friends and I met up at the cafe after long. We had mushroom on toast, corn fritters a few different coffees and wild berry smoothie. All quite awesome! We were there for about 2 hours and the staff was great. The only recommendation would be that it would be great if they could move away from plastic straws. I would love to go back.
One of my favourite brunches ever - just look at the photo? Tasted even better - generous bacon serving which goes a long way!
Drinks were good, service was great - even let us pre order as we were running close to closing time.
Will be back to try other dishes, or the same…
First visit with the kids & we’ll be back! We all loved our breakie orders. Friendly service, delicious food & good chai latte. I had the mushroom/halloumi dish & I can’t wait to eat it again. My son had the French toast which was out of this world. And my daughters pancakes were so fluffy & light.
I've been coming here for the past week for my twice daily caffeine hit. It's fantastic coffee and consistent! I've tried a couple of other places in the area. They're good but not as good as this cafe! Bonus points cos they're dog friendly too!
This cafe used to be my local until I moved states so over 2 years later upon returning to Melbourne for a holiday, I had to get back there for my absolute favourite...the red chilli scrambled eggs! I was delighted to see it still on the menu & it certainly didn’t disappoint! A must try it’s seriously amazing! The coffee was so good, on point and I enjoyed the friendly prompt service. A must try brunch spot to visit for sure! I’ll be back.
Lovely cafe and lots of love in food presentation. Tasted great too❤
Really great food and a nice venue. Recently the service has become a bit glum and the niceties not really adhered to. The chai was weak and I suspect I got cow instead of almond on one order. I hope they get with the nice community vibe in the area and get the crowds back… don’t want them to close!
The new menu is great! Especially crêpes😍
