Great tasting Italian food with friendly service, highly recommend a visit We the Whitebait to start with that we so tasty, then enjoyed a Supreme Pizza between us Look forward to going back to try some other menu options

First time here on the basis of a recommendation and it lived up to all its praises. Wonderful food, calm and pleasant ambience so we all could have a good conversation and the service from both ladies was excellent. Will definitely be back again, worth the trip from the Northern suburbs !

We had takeaway a few times which was quite good but eating in is just weird... we have been a few times lately to eat in and each time we have entered into an eerily quiet restaurant with no music and just incredible silence, followed by a lacklustre greeting, which is fine but just odd. The food is so so, but much better than the desserts which are a no... the coffee was pretty good though. If you want atmosphere and just a sense of occasion, this is not the place.

Wanted a great Italian meal, got very ordinary food. The Pasta Carbonara was really just OK. At least it was hot and the pasta was cooked well. It was a bit dry and under seasoned - I could have cooked it the same if not better (and I'm no chef). The Dessert - well.... we ordered the Chocolate Souffle... waited a good 40 minutes between courses - despite ordering dessert with mains.... I think we got the Chocolate Souffle's sad cousin, the eggy no taste souffle. The service was very good, and I wanted the food to be good as well.... sigh!

I have been going here for years (since around 2010). The food has always been lovely and the staff have always been wonderful. They put extra effort into their service and their love of the restaurant has always been obvious. I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a good meal (pizza, pasta or otherwise) and a smooth night out

Ordered through uber eats and recurved a cold pizza an hour later. I guess they forgot to send it out once it was cooked. Not a very good service.

One of the BEST Italian Restaurants in the entire of Melbourne. I’m a loyal regular. Highly Recommend: ) Authentic yummy tasty quality meals and ingredients. And the best home made bread EVER!

The people who run this place are very friendly, they obviously have their regulars & quite often you feel out of place when they greet their regular customers, however, we felt right at home, it is our second visit & wont be our last... oh yea the food is excellent.

It was something other than Italian.

Very high quality Italian food at reasonable prices. The best thing? Only $6.50 for corkage. <br/><br/>The fresh crab linguini and chocolate soufflé were superb.

I have been coming with the family here for years. Lots of options for all family members. The family can have a choice of 2 fish dishes and for people who want pasta or pizza there is good choices. It is a glenferrie rd establishment and worth visiting.

Absolutely beautiful! My go to Italian place for years, food is first class and the team are amazing! 11/10 from me. Big wrap for any seafood dish and or pizza with a nice glass of red!

Very nice and quiet ,chill and relaxing environment with very welcoming boss and attentive staffs . Pasta was beautiful cook. Prawns are bigs . And big portion . Will come back to try the pizza .

I have been here many many times. Can’t believe I haven’t reviewed it before!! The BEST eat-in pizza in the neighbourhood. Love all the pastas and mains and the homemade bread is delicious. Always very welcoming staff and such a nice atmosphere. Always a pleasure to visit

First time for us and what a find! The service was fantastic and the food amazing. I had the lasagna and it melted in my mouth. We will be back!!

Nice place and is one of the better places for value in the area. Eaten in a few times and the food was excellent. Special mention goes to the pasta. Set up with a takeaway option which I've been meaning to try.

Delicious takeaway pizza! Always fresh and quick. It is somewhere between the fancy food fired and the typically takeaway. Highly recommend :)

This is an excellent restaurant with great food and value! Been there many times and have tried othere restaurnats in Glenferrie Rd and have always come away wishing I had gone again to Something Italian.  Rossini come close though. The crab meat pasta, every veal dish and the steak are all perfect. Corkage is only $6 so you dont have to spend $40 on a bottle of wine.

Horrible experience! Ordered Minestrone as a main. A foul tasting non descriptive soup (not minestrone!) came out on one of these flat open “bowls” which make the soup or any food instantly lose any heat. Although I was hungry, I could not muster more than three spoons of it, hoping the soup or my tastebuds will change. Neither did. I asked the waiter what soup that was (clearly NOT minestrone!). He grabbed the full bowl and took it away and did not offer another meal as a replacement. <br/><br/>Gruff service. Will not return.

Probably the worst Pasta dish that I have ever eaten, garlic bread (pizza) and Hawaiian pizza were okay (old school) and the service was pleasant.

Tasty and wholesome italian food and service is what you'll get here. Main dishes are a decent serve while entrees are a little light on for the price you pay.

Just a pass on this one my wife and I have a had a few last minute Saturday night dinners. The food is just ok and pizza's are just ok. Don't go in expecting much and you won't be let down. <br/><br/>Toodles

Awful restaurant. Food is average and overpriced. The staff are pretentious and rude. They charge extra for olive oil!! Just got my bank statement and they charged us twice for the meal. Don't recommend.

Always great. Pizza's are lovely, not thick and doughy but light and crisp bases. Pasta is always great and the veal dishes are the best in town.

Never had a bad meal at this solid Italian staple on Glenferrie Rd Malvern pizza or pasta and the veal is a special highly recommended

On a recent visit to melbourne i dined here my family had raved about the food and i was really looking forward to my pasta. when it arrived i found it to be dry and nearly crispy around the edges and boiling hot inside like it had been microwaved i would have sent it back and got something else but no-one even came near our table to see how we were doing i was finally offered something else but i was over it i have been in the industry for 33 years and was very disappointed in the service and the food they didint even take my meal off the bill which i would have done without question.

Food was delicious and exceptional service. Would definitely go back again.

Best kept secret. The food here is consistently good. Simple, honest, wholesome and reasonably priced. We'll be back.

Went here last night, was amazing! Ordered the penne Ragu, lots of yummy sauce and the beef was tender and melted in my mouth. My partner had the veal was also tender and so yummy. Very reasonably priced for what you get, wine list isn't overpriced. Service was prompt and friendly, were happy to answer questions we had. Well worth it!

Wonderful food and service. I went with a large group of friends and all our meals were served at the same time. The menu has a great variety of food to choose from. I enjoyed the fish of the day. All of our <br/>meals were authentic and delicious!

Good service and authentic Italian meals. A bit less chilli in the Spaghetti Vongole & Calamari would have improved that dish greatly though. Nevertheless a great evening.

A bit ordinary and overpriced for what it offers.

Very average, food was okay, nothing special. service was a little rude and not very helpful. Doesn't compare to the other Italian place about 400 metres down the road. Was trying something different, but really wasn't worth it.

Okay. Used to go here a lot and loved it. But went again recently, and it wasn't as great as I remembered. Fantastic service but the Gorgonzola Gnocchi was a bit average this time.

Quality Italian Food. Went on a first date here and was impressed.<br/><br/>The service was good without being pushy and the food was well worth it.<br/><br/>Had the veal while my girlfriend had the chicken risotto. The veal was brilliantly done and the vegetables crispy. The risotto was really good but there was so much of it.<br/><br/>The wine list isn't overly expensive and either are the beers.<br/><br/>Enjoyable experience and will go again.
