My wife and I came to this quite small but beautiful restaurant via Groupon. We did not know what to expect because apparently is a new place in Melbourne. We ordered pork pan fried dumplings which were delicious. After that we got the red duck curry and soft shell crab. I must say the flavour of the red curry was absolutely exceptional, one of the best I've tried. However, I believe the duck was overcooked in my opinion. The crab was also very delicious, and the dish made sense with the salad and its dressing. My only negative on this place is maybe the portions. You do not get a decent portion to be satisfied unless you order an entree first. I'd still recommend this place given its really nice Asian flavours. It is also worth pointing out that the service was extremely friendly and willing to explain/help at all times.

Service is efficient and friendly.

Great potential awaits ...... must stick to their culinary heritage I reckon.
Nicely located on Waverley Rd, near the corner of Darling Rd, Malvern East, plenty of parking space, plus .... end of the tram line if you are on public transport. This 40 seat eatery is uniquely different from other Malaysian restaurants, warmly designed with modern fixtures, chairs and bold colours, cosy and easy on the eyes.
According to the young waiter, it has been there for 2 years, not sure whether it's the new owner or not, service seems to be a little "uneasy" and Menu is even more confusing; a mixture of Thai and Malaysian cuisine in one, although it was easy to navigate for those who have frequented South East Asian restaurants.Anyway, the chef is from Ipoh, Malaysia and they are known for their culinary heritage, hence we went for Malaysian dishes for our dinner. Started with Chicken Satay "paggang" - grilled with peanut sauce, just perfectly balanced of curry and peanuts. Good size, marinated chicken and well grilled.Sizzling Beancurd/Tofu and Snapper with Malay Sweet & Sour sauce for mains.Sizzling Tofu was a tad salty but good and Snapper was smelling a little "earth" flavour, the sweet & sour sauce was bland, missing some salt, apart from that fish were "cubed" & "fried" very well and tasty.
BYO is probably better as they have limited Wine List and their wines by the glass are quite ordinary, next time.
Service was okay and pleasant, the young waiter was doing his best entertaining 12 patrons by himself with the occasional help of the owner couple.
A little confusing at first with their combined Menu of Thai & Malaysian, as we haven't tried their Thai stuff, however, I would like to suggest to the owner to stick to one particular cuisine and master it for us to enjoy. Those Malaysian delights that were served have potential to be awesome and your chef is from Ipoh, it's only logical.Great potential and an enjoyable dinner and thank you, "terima kasih". Went to Tuans the other night with my dad, and we both loved the food. Nice setting and friendly service, we had the Singapore noodles and the beef rendang and both were great, especially the beef. Will be back for sure xx

The food in this place basically good, just a bit on the salty side, but the taste of the sauce was nice. Service was good, the waitress forgot my tea coz it was getting crowded and she got flustered, but overall happy with the service from her as she was friendly, but not from the other waiter who served us without any smile and with a "bored" face.

Great food and friendly service at a reasonable price. Only negative was that the crispy pork was not crispy. The other four dishes we had were spot on. Highly recommended.

Loved the Malaysian Chicken Curry! Full of flavour and aromatic. Prawns in Coconut Cream was pretty good. The Claypot Vegetables & Beancurd done just the way we like it. Great service, highly recommended!

Not your authentic Malaysian restaurant BUT still well-cooked with nice flavours. You don’t go home feeling bloated as the food are “cleanly” cooked (i.e not too oily or greasy or heavy on salt / MSG). Definitely don’t feel thirsty afterwards. We ordered; Beef Rendang Seems like the paste is not made from scratch but rather from a packet. It’s too watery unlike authentic rendang you find at other places which is dry and full of nice spices. BUT like I said, despite the mediocre rendang paste, the beef is still well cooked and I would say the portion Is generous. Mee Goreng I also expected this to be drier than it is but tasty and well-cooked. Mixed Vegetable in Claypot We need some greens / try to have greens on every meal. There was a nice variety of vegetables on this dish which exceeded my expectations and is nicely cooked too.

I had cravings for laksa, and looked for something in the neighbourhood, and found this gem. Everything was just perfect - nice elegant ambience, pleasant background music, friendly and prompt staff. Combination laksa was delicious! This was the first time I was here, but certainly not the last! 😊

Fantastic food. Had fried dumplings and the sweet and sour pork. Pork was perfectly cooked and crispy. Possibly the best South Asian restaurant we've been to in the last couple of years.

We found this place by accident and loved it! I really missed Malaysian food. They've been doing takeaway throughout the lockdown and it's delicious every time. I recommend the Beef Rendang, Malaysian Chicken Curry and the Roti Cenai. Looking forward to working through the menu. Plus, the service is great! They're lovely there.
