Review Sanctus Soup - Malvern

First time trying this shop. The soup is great! Not oily and all ingredients are so well cooked. Very nice to take away and eat in the comfort of your home especially on a cold wet day

Ordered potato and leek soup ($11.50) comes with good portion of whole meal bread. Love the hearty soup! Price is fair compared to the other cafe down the road. I would come back again for sure.

Very nice Italian Soup. Clean shop. Very pleasant staff. Need those photos on front window inside the shop to make deciding easier. Loved it.

I ordered the chicken noodle soup, I know its called something else but can't be bothered looking up what it's called, off Uber eats after coming down with a nasty bout of Gastro. It was absolutely perfect. The noodles where nice and light, the right amount of veggies and chicken and a nice broth that was easy to eat on a sore tummy. It also arrived really hot and the bread was nice. Highly recommended and look forward to trying more soups from here when I feel a little better.

I've been looking for a good place to get soups in south side area, I ordered the Goulash soup and was really pleased! Really good home style soup! I haven't gotten this good home style cooked meal at a restaurant since moving to Melbourne! Will definitely order again and can definitely recommend it. Unfortunately there was a mix up with the delivery which had nothing to do with the restaurant it was a mix up of the Uber delivery person but I called the restaurant about it and they were so nice and helpful about it!

So happy I stumbled on this gem. A heavenly variety of soup. All the vegetarian ones are lovely. The prices are more than fair. The man who has served myself and my buddy is always super kind and polite. Never a bad experience and never a bad soup. I’ll continue to come for sure. Pay them a visit!!!

I stumbled across Sanctus Soup browsing the healthy section of Deliveroo and I am not disappointed. I ordered a small size of the beef goulash as I was after something with a homecooked feeling which was filling and healthy. It was tasty, the beef tender and the sourdough multigrain bread which came with it was toasted and warmed to perfection while still soft. The soup ticked all the boxes I was after. I even called the restaurant beforehand to ask which size they felt would be appropriate and the very friendly man I spoke with assured me that a small size would be more than adequate of this specific soup for lunch time. Goes a long way to not be up sold by a restaurant for no reason. I will definitely be ordering from these guys again.

What fantastic soups and pastas!! Wow. Lots of freshly prepared dishes, only took ten minutes or so, healthy, absolutely delicious, lots of traditional and family style recipes, really enjoyed the tomato based and chicken based pasta soups, and ravioli... Large serves are generous and good value.. Small cafe, great for hot or cold takeaway, a few tables to eat in too. 5/5 will return!!

The minestrone soup is to die for. Perfect during winter, full of vegetables and always fresh!

Ordered Uber eats. Worst! The chicken soup literally tasted like nothing. Bland and awful. Threw it in the bin after 1 sip. Very very disappointing.

Chicken soup here is amazing, especially the Tagliolini. Raviolini good too.
If anyone knows where to get soup this good in CBD please let me know.

Ordered from Deliveroo. The ham Arancini and chicken tortellini with arrabbiata sauce were very tasty. The vegetable pastry was the only item that was mediocre.

It's my job to find lunch options for the whole office on Friday, something to keep the healthy ones happy, the vegetarians, the meat only eaters and everyone in between. THIS was a hit. Very happy office at lunch this Friday.

I'm a huge fan of minestrone soup, and the minestrone at Sanctus is the best I've ever tasted. It was flavoursome, unpretentious, extremely generous with their veggies and ingredients, and at a very good price point.

Yum yum yum. The next best thing to home made chicken soup. The nicest chicken soup I have ever bought- delicious.

Cannot fault. Will come back again and again.

The pasta was also lovely.

Big fan of this place - I love soup and few restaurants specialise in it. Italian soups are excellent, others soups are reasonable, sweets are nice. Portions are generous, pricing very fair and service is fantastic.

The menu has a lot of options I was impressed there are not many restaurants that specialise in soup. I had the gumbo soup and it was very tasting and also filled me up. Next time I will be back for the lemon Moran.

Thos place is genuinely lovely.
I cannot understand how it ever got any bad reviews.
My wife and i go there regularly and the Tuscan bean is to die for the minestrone also.
Nice guy who owns it always considerate about hot or cold cutlery bread ect.
One of the very few healthy take out options.
Can't fault the place.
Great soups!

I am a soup lover and on a cold winters day we drove past this place, I said to the wife, this would have to be good as they specialise in soup. I ordered the chicken soup with noodles and my wife the pea and ham soup. We sat down and in approx. 10 mins the soup came out with a nice piece of bread. I dug into my first spoon of soup and it was actually tasteless, I had another spoon....still nothing! I was forced to load up the salt and pepper so I could at least taste something. I then tasted the wife's pea and ham and it was terrible, it had a smokey flavour to it and really didn't even taste like pea and ham soup at all, in fact I have never tasted such a shocking soup. We left with half of our bowls full as the whole experience was extremely bad. The best part of the meal was the bread!

I went here to buy takeout for my family. I bought a pasta dish, two soups, arancini balls and some other bits and pieces. I thought the food was very bland and i did not enjoy any of the dishes. Nothing had any flavouring at all. It was a real disappointment and i would not recommend it.
