One of my favourite restaurants, we’ve been a regular customer here for many years. The staff are very nice and friendly , as soon as she sees us , she knows what we’re going to order. We love their delicious foods especially their dumplings and roasted chicken.
I would definitely keep coming back here.
Ordered takeaway here for Father's Day dinner. Roast Duck Lou Mee, Mongolian Beef and Chicken & Cashew Nut. All tasted great. Meat to vegetable ratio was perfect with great vegetable variety and quality. Mongolian Beef and Chicken Cashew tasted as you expect for westernised Chinese which is exactly what I was after. I'd never tried Duck Lou Mee so gave it a go. It is flavoured with sweet soy sauce and consisted mostly of thin egg noodles. Was nice but I was flavour fatigued by the end. Also had to watch out for the bones in the duck. Overall a good Chinese takeaway dinner experience. I would recommend it.
We both decided on laksa for lunch and it was okay but needed a serious whack of veggies to give crunch and substance. Service was fine. The venue is pleasantly tired but fine.
This restaurant is in Malvern and it serves Cantonese food. Originally I was going to go to Gllow but they were closed. This visit happened on Boxing day where not many places were open. The manager was friendly but his worker was not. This worker was sullen and looked like he wanted to go home. Moreover the lady could not understand English much.
I come here for one reason and one reason only- a huge bowl of takeaway laksa with thick egg noodles and fresh veg. It's very hot (chilli) and just how I like it. The stuffed eggplant entree is great too in a rich sauce. Everything else I've tried was ok, but I adore that laksa. Don't plan to eat in- its very bare bones in terms of atmosphere.
Ingredients were fresh and the meats was plentiful. Portion sizes were large and presents good value for money.
The flavours of the dishes overall were rather unspectacular. The laksa was way too spicy without much other flavours to back it up. The chilli overpowered all else and rendered the soup and noodles rather tasteless otherwise.
Overall a half decent asian joint that was cheap and uninspiring. Good for a quick and cheap feed but not much else.
Overall, great restaurant for food and value. The highlight was the roast duck, it was crispy on the outside and succulent on the inside. Would recommend to anyone who has a great taste in Malaysian and Chinese food.
Great Laksa, noodle soups (vegetarian), and BBQ Pork (soup and on rice). Really nice food, that doesn't make you feel bloated. Fresh, tasty, The soup bases are exceptional, the owners are really nice people too. This restaurant has become our favourite local Asian, place. Reasonably priced.
Love their Nasi Goreng, always order it every time there, good choice for quick, cheap , and good food.
We had home delivery on a Friday night. Curry chicken had good balance and nice little kick of chilli. Chinese broccoli with garlic was well cooked, not too garlicky. Mixed BBQ meats, duck and pork was generous and not too much bone. Took about 45 mins to arrive. A bit over priced for this type of food but rents aren't cheap on Glenferrie Road I guess.
Fantastic restaurant! Very well priced. I've tried many things on the menu and never been disappointed. Highly recommend this place. Plus the owners are very nice.
Amazing food. Great service. Peking Duck was perfection
Good food at reasonable prices. The plain and ordinary look of this suburban Chinese/Malaysian cafe belies the quality and value of the food they serve. The steamed yum cha dumplings (prawn, pork & chives, vegetarian etc) are excellent, as is the Peking Duck and the Char Siu. Well worth a visit.
Great Peking Duck. $49 deal voucher, the food was great. Peking Duck was just delicious, followed by the home made dumpling, chicken corn soup, prawns finished up with Malaysian Curry/rice. The service was slow (could see only 3 people working), but very friendly. Uncertain that it's actually valued at $105 as outlined for 2 people, overall pleasant evening with great food.
AMAZING!. Fantastic personal service, I travel extensively thoughout Asia, and this is by far the best! Try the Char Kway Tow - you will not order it anywhere else again!
Great Laksa!. Fortunes makes a great laksa (roast pork is the best!) and take away is always consistent and prompt. Now my default when I can't be bothered cooking.
Love their roast pork and soya chicken! Roast pork is crispy and lean whereas soya chicken is very succulent!
Well we are one of their usal costumers, their food is great!
The crispy noodles combination was just the BEST!! As was the prawn Laksa...7 stars for taste & customer service!!
Went there today with my son. Friendly services, efficient. Food was good. Place is clean. Nothing to complain.
Very nice. Food is good and not oily greasy. Thanks to lockdown we found this gem
The Peking duck was delicious and unique in wrappings....the sauce was just right for an appetizer.
Steam Barramundi was delicious and the texture of the fish was exquisite.
