Review Bistro Coco Vin - Malvern

Wow - what a find!  Have been here 3 times since discovering 4 weeks ago - a gem!   Secretly located in Station Street opp Malvern station - proper French cooking with proper reduction sauces (the Chef - a Korean native - was apparently prior at Bistro Guillaume @ Crown, so no wonder).  Also excellent Korean dishes too - all at very reasonable prices with generous serves - plus knowledgeable & friendly service - and BYO for that special bottle - what more could one wish for in a local eatery?

The restaurant is on a small street off Glenferrie road so it's a little hidden. I was hesitated to try at first but once I did I want to come back and try other dishes on the menu. Really loved the chicken bulgogi, very nice sauce with stringing cheese. Very authentic Korean flavour. Lovely service from the lady who waited us. Lunch special was only $14 and it includes two delicious fried Korean dumplings. Bonus! Highly recommended!

Do not procrastinate, get out there and try Coco Vin. The food is simply stunning with the best menu combination between French and Korean I have ever come across. Its unique yet nails the traditonal meals between the two cultures impeccably. I have been a few times simply to get a taste of the great range of meals on offer. The attention to detail and the customer service is on point and encouraging. Do yourself, your friends, your family the favour and eat what you can any given time of the day,.... I have.

Went for dinner last Thursday for the first time and will definitely be back. The service could not have been better, a relaxed atmosphere, varied wine list that is not over priced and the food was great. Never eaten at French Korean before and the mix works well, best of both worlds without loosing the traditions of those foods. The marinated lamb was mouthwatering. <br/>Highly recommended.

The food is top notch especially the marinated lamb which my favorite. Plus friendly staff. Surely will come back again!!  Bistro Coco vin will be in my most favorite restaurant in my list

Had a lunch with my friends at this restaurant. Food was amazing! Ive never heard of French and Korean fusion restaurant but actually it was really good mix. You can have Korean food as Entree and French as you like. Friend Chicken KFC is my favourite. I will come back for this for sure!

What a surprising find! Everything we had was delicious (even the yummy dessert) and the service was friendly and attentive. If you're lucky enough to be here when Lorraine is working then you'll meet one of the sweetest waitresses in Melbourne. I will definitely be returning

Amazing experience at this restaurant! Started off with a French Entree- Escargots, switched it up to Korean for main with their sizzling plate and had lemon tart for dessert! Wide range of wines were available, food was so good and the staff was really friendly. Will definitely come back soon .

Loved the food at this restaurant!  The service was great and we received our food in good time. Would definitely recommend it to anybody after a relaxed evening with delicious food! :)

Coco Vin does what no other restaurant has attempted to my knowledge -- bring together French cuisine and Korean style cooking and does it well. Great chef (previously with Crown Casino before branching out on his own), excellent service and good prices. We had stable of 7 for dinner after an opening of my exhibition at nearby Manyung Gallery at Malvern. Perfect end to a great night.<br/>

An exciting blend of French and Korean!! 🍽🍸Bistro Coco Vin is a really nice and calm restaurant, with a really good and different menu - incorporating Korean and French flavours  😊 We would come back to try their breakfast menu! We ordered the steak, beef bulgogi, mashed potato and ratatouille which was yummy!!

Coco Vin is refreshingly innovative and surprising. <br/>This is my second time at the place. First time I came for lunch and then now for dinner. The Beef Bulgogi is simply delicious. We also had the eggplant chips, the signature dish of Coco Vin was the best I have ever tasted . <br/>The service is friendly, and professional and the serving time is just right. Congratulations to Jennifer and her team. We certainly will come here again.

Amazing and very delicious food!! Ambience of the place is good and very cost environment. The food was very delicious and every plate we had was finished leaving us wanting more. We tried the variety of French food they offered and they didn't disappoint. The staff are so friendly and very accommodating. Will definitely return again!

Restaurant is just 3 weeks old. A mixture of French and Korean. Kudos to the chef. The food was delicious. I had cauliflower soup and the salmon. The quality was as good as any top restaurant. Staff was friendly and attentive. I hope they are around long enough to become a local favorite of ours.

Loved the chicken cutlines, the presentation was fantastic as well. I would recommend going to a business meeting or date, it's classy as well.

Steak tartare was amazing!! Mascarpone cream was perfect! Must try Tomahawk steak! I love this place and we will visit this restaurant again for sure. Awesome Staffs and customer services. :-)

Awsome! Nice service and meal. perfect. Especially I love big breakfast and tomato relish. Inside are cleaned and everything new. Just high recommend here. :)

They have the beautiful combination of French and Korean cuisines. I had dinner and chose 1KG tomahawk steak and other dishes which were excellent medium rare and nice match with mellow wines^^<br/> Saturday night and The atmosphere is quiet and coz with friendly service! <br/>I would highly recommend tasting once here!<br/>I enjoyed the dinner here^^강추!!

Wonderful food. Fresh, delicious and very well presented! The atmosphere is warm and relaxing and the staff are very friendly. The wine list is extensive with a wide range of reds, whites and sparkling to suit any tastes. Had a great experience here and will most certainly be coming back!

Bistro Coco Vin provides the perfect blend of French and Korean cuisines. I had dinner here Saturday night and thoroughly enjoyed it. The restaurant had a very relaxing atmosphere, friendly service and beautiful food! I would highly recommend visiting here for your next special night out!

Great authentic french cuisine in a relaxed non pretentious atmosphere. It  definitely will become our regular eating out destination. Food is reasonably priced and the escargot is to die for... Hats off to the chef!!!

If you like French cuisine ,this is the place for you!!!My husband and I ate here on Friday night. The restaurant was about half full and had a relaxed atmosphere. Food was excellent!!  Well worth a visit!!!!
