Review Grill'd - Malvern

Still the best burger in Melbourne. Finally returned to Andrew's Hamburgers after a couple of years overseas and what I mistake I have made; Andrew's in far too close to my place of work for my waistline to handle but I was so happy. Grabbed a quick burger to take away and I couldn't fault it. I go for the Smokey Robinson and the standard hasn't faltered over time. Still excellent home made burgers, with seemingly quality ingredients and a crew that enjoy what they do. Always a good sign when you see the boss man doing his bit too. Never change, I'll be back again this week :)

I wish i could give them 0 star rating. Ordered 2 burgers, 2 chips and 2 water bottles. But received only 2 burgers and 1 chips with tomato sauce. Chips looks like old and leftover. Burgers are disgusting. It was a mistake that I ordered from them. But i will not recommend this worst place to anyone.

I wish I got a photo! Let me tell you, if you want nostalgia in burgers then this is the place to go! It’s the old lot burger you got from the fish and chip shop in the late 90’s to early 2000’s that everyone loves! Smashed this in the car park with my partner. Top level burger!

I've been reading the reviews from the closed CBD store and the Albert Park one, a lot of complaints on service and burgers from people who have no idea what they're talking about. Fantastic burger and restaurant. Want a break from the fancy brioche bun burgers? This is the burger to try. I wouldn't recommend ordering from a delivery service, as the buns may turn out soggy just based on all the ingredients included. Textures are great, smells are great, flavours are great and not overpowering. You might struggle with keeping it together especially when getting to the middle. Good burgers, cute, old school feel, it's a nice find! A bit slower on the service but overall happy with our vegetarian burgers!

I have walked past Andrew’s many times and it always has a queue of people outside either waiting for their orders or enjoying their orders so I needed to try the burgers to satisfy my curiosity. Well I can see why it is so popular! Their burgers are huge and full of flavor. They are wrapped perfectly so you can get every last bite without it becoming a giant pile of mush at the end. The chips are twice cooked, so you can’t really beat that and their potato cake is a great alternative to their chips or a snack before you get home with your gigantic burger. I have tried their Sanchez Mexican, Smokey Robinson and the Five O Hawaiian. All delicious in their own way. They are very popular and on one occasion they ran out of all meat patties so we had to cancel our order and it was only 7pm on a Tuesday evening and another time I ordered chicken and received beef instead. The bun was a bit stale on one occasion I ordered but that was the only time it was. They have an online ordering service which could do with an update as the time they ran of the patties, each time we reordered we had to put in our details again which was a little frustrating and their closing times are quite early and they close on Sunday which is usually peoples cheat days lol. All in all if you’re in need of a good burger fix would definitely recommend paying Andrew’s a visit.

The burgers are great, but best to call ahead your order as during peak times they are very busy with waiting times upto 45 minutes.

Tried their sweet potato fries, potato fries, vegam burger and hot bird (chicken burger) and garden goodness(veggie burger). Amazing food, reasonable prices and great service.

My grandchildren love grilled so I have persevered. One very late order, one lost order and now tonight after explaining that I didn't want to be longer than 30min. Another 30 min. I won't be coming back. Management need to train staff to be aware of people waiting and what orders they are handing out with what contents. Very disappointing because the food is great !

I love the burgers here! This time I tried the hot bird which had a decent amount of jalapeños, roast peppers, chicken breast and spicy relish. It was delicious. I always order the zucchini fries and wine, the best!

FRIENDLY STAFF, Amazing food, pricey but worth it. The workers today Monday 28th during the day were absolutly amazing. The girls making my burger having a laugh with each other but focused on my burger was great to see. The Man who was obviously the boss joined in and it was great to see and boss enjoying time with workers. My burger was amazing and I could tell it was fresh and it was juicy and just plain ol YUMMY. first time trying their burgers, had the bacon and beef burger and some chips with herb mayo. the food was absolutely stunning! however, waited at the counter for several minutes without being acknowledged when they were literally looking at me. a guy who I'm assuming was manager for the day finally came up and was really friendly and helpful. no table check, no cutlery or water, left full but not to happy about service

Love the Grill'd franchise. Their menu is clearly labeled with dietary requirement which I appreciate. I am a big fan of their Veggie Vitality burger.

The worst ! Incorrect order was given to us and found out when we got home the went back and had to wait while they served everyone else and then forgot my order !No care ! #fail #nocustomerservice

Ordered a burger here when I was super hungry last night. Upon reaching home, on my first few bites, I have discover the burger pattie is burnt. Not very happy with the quality of the burger from this branch. Will never come back again

Burger were good and staff were friendly but experience was ruined by a male who looked like the manager who was yelling at other staff members in front of customers. The vibe in the restaurant turned quite hostile after that. He then began to speak rudely to customers when they tried to ask him questions and just shooed them away to the till area. I will not be returning as I will not support managers talking to their staff this way.

Solid place. Really liked the atmosphere and burgers selection. Prices very reasonable and staff is always friendly.If you are looking to get something good to eat and then maybe hang out for a little this is a great start!

Exquisite burgers that touched the deepest voids of my heart. ❤️. Burgers are simple yet their packed flavours have a subtle crispness like a Trojan patting a cat. A great selection of ice cold beverages guaranteed to cool a tradie on a 40*C day. Overall simple and impressive.

The lamb burger here tasted like a combination of chicken and beef - 😭so disapointed. But the veggie burger was great and my gf love it, of which avocado mash perfectly match 😍

For burger, I'll give 3/5, but for their sweet potato chips, I'll give 5/5. lol <br/>Burgers are good, considering Grill'd is professional for buger, hope they can lift. Highly recommend sweet potato chips with sweet chilli dipping, really yummy!

Grill'd serves healthy (lean 100% Aussie beef, grass fed, chicken 100% breast), Delicious and packed with salad burgers. Burgers are always good. Chips a little dry on the inside. The service here is always really friendly, just right and they support community groups in need with customers choosing from 3 options who they wish to donate to. <br/>But Grill'd is also a great place for families. We love the mini moo packs (small burger, chips and juice/water and a puzzle) all in a cute takeaway box. They also have colouring in and crayons replaced regularly to keep them in good nick, as opposed to the broken crayon bits and pieces in some other cafes. So impressive I took a photo! Meals always served in good time.<br/>We always have a great experience here and highly recommend it for a family weeknight meal.

Of all the Grill'd Burgers I've consumed from the many varied chain restaurants across Melbourne, I must say that Malvern's ability to put together a bun, some chicken, salad and sauce and make it tasty is to be applauded. I have had some appalling Grill'd burgers, and thankfully none of these burgers came from Malvern's store.<br/><br/>My favourite burger, the Bird and Brie is always a delight when dining at Grill'd Malvern. I highly recommend the dining in experience as opposed to the takeout option, as the burgers are always better when eaten fresh. Pair your burger with any of the fries options for an even more filling meal. My partner and I always order a side of chips with herbed mayo. Delicious.

Beef patty no good. Tasted mass produced. I have been getting the chicken for years (Simon Says Burger). Ventured out and wasn't impressed. Won't get the beef ever again. All other components on the burger I go tasted great. Patty really let me down. All well.... I'll know for next time to stick to my original order.

Oh dear.... my burgers and chips were way too salty today. Maybe someone dropped the whole jar of salt to my food.  It is supposed to be a healthy restaurant but it is NOT. I went to this place a few months ago for dinner and the staff were friendly. Today I went to this place for lunch, all the staff are so terrible. Too busy talking to each other.

Would give 3.5-4 except the bathrooms are filthy<br/><br/>FILTHY BATHROOM<br/>Toilets look like they haven't been cleaned for a few weeks. Which really suprised me for a placed like Grill'd - especially in Malvern. The picture is of the sink, the toilet was worse but I don't want to put anyone off their food.<br/><br/>COELIACS/GLUTEN/ALLERGIES - gluten free options but note cross contamination risk is high (which they are openly honest about)<br/><br/>TASTE/FOOD - consistent tasty burgers. I always go sweet chili chicken, I don't think the other burgers are nearly as tasty or interesting though. The steak options are nice but nothing special<br/><br/>VALUE- Sweet chili chicken I think is good/excellent value, the other burgers are pretty standard compared to other burger joints price wise<br/><br/>WORTH GOING BACK? - I'm not really too phased by dirty places (I've eaten around Asia a bit). The burgers are consistent, tasty and well priced so I would probably still go back

Probably my favourite in the "up market fast food" category of food. I especially like the sweet potato fries, which aren't so much fries as they are very thinly sliced cooked sweet potato with large grain salt pieces sprinkled all over - delicious!

You can sit outside under fairy lights at this Grill'd! It's fresh, clean and delicious. They have young staff that make mistakes and the usual complaints that come with dining at a Grill'd but this is the best Grill'd i've been to.

Funny how fools can lead fools! Look at the ingredients - 45% fat, E509 and E1422 – healthy ? Not! the water and fat are held together by the stabilizers! But the tenacity is to sell this as a health burger – that really takes the cake!This is advertising and media marketing at it's best - leading the customer to believe they are doing the right thing!Stay away if you value your health and indigestion - go to Mccas cheaper, better and you get a pure beef burger with less fat then Grill'd!

Dirty disgusting and filthy.<br/>I came here for a quick bite at 6pm the place is empty being Monday night. Tables not clean and toilet is awful I left my food and ran out the door

Grilld get out of my grill!! Nothing wrong with the burgers but when you're tucking in and a staff member comes over to make sure everything thing is ok whilst you've got half a burger hanging out of your mouth it is not great and this is on every visit, let's remember these are burgers and we are not at Vue de Monde!!

I don't do fast food. Ever. Under pressure I acquiesced. The back bar steak sandwich was a stunner. Loved it. Fries were okay but go easy on the salt guys. Confident service. Great wine choices. Recommend even for non fast food devotees.

Look grilld generally always cost me an arm and a leg and sometimes the kitchen sink but in thier defense the burgers are bloody beaut. <br/>But guys the sliders are stinkin, No good, AND you got rid of the mini moos, shockin. <br/><br/>Love the joint to bits, but can only dine here after winning the lottery.

Food ok but Terrible customer service. Grill'd has some nice burgers but the customer services is appalling. Myself and two family members where sitting outside on a very quiet day, minding our own business eating our food when we got told to leave ! why you ask? Well my brother cannot eat grilled so he had some chips from Snitz which is next door. Even though myself and another family member were paying customers they didnt want us there because our brother was eating food from next door!<br/>Im not one to complain but everytime we have been there the service has been terrible. Theres always birds and bees flying around inside the joint...and there has been times where a bird has been behind the counter in the cooking area!<br/>Need less to say we will not be back and i do not recommend people spend their money at this Grill'd store.<br/>Try Snitz next door they give great customer service and great food! Or try a better Grill'd store, one that appreciates paying customers!

Great staff. You can't rate a franchise's food. It's the same (majority of the time). Grill'd i think is consistently good - great burgers and salads. However, for this particular Grill'd in Malvern, I'd really like to highlight the really good customer service the staff deliver. I am so picky with my orders (gluten free, dressing on the side, no onion please blah blah) and they are more happy to accomodate. Really good! Thanks guys

Avoid it. We have eaten at Grill'd many times and it has been an acceptable fast food outlet. <br/><br/>Today the place was apparently understaffed. We waited more than 30 minutes for our meal and then watched it sit on the counter for 7 minutes before it was brought to our table. When we complained we got a refund and then noticed the litter all over the floor in the serving area behind the counter.<br/><br/>One to avoid.

Best burger's and chips. If you wan't a burger, Grill'd is the place to go. All the chains have been the same and burgers are consistent. I occausionally get some chips, and with the herbs they put on the chips they're some of the best I've had<br/><br/>Highly recommended!

Not bad at all. Ate here tonight, service was fast and friendly, and as always the burgers were top notch. I do have a few gripes however, 70c for a tiny tub of not very good, "out of a bottle" sauce, really grill'd, really? And over $40 for two burgers a regular chips, two sauces and two soft drinks, just feels a bit too much like a rip off for my liking.<br/>Don't get me wrong the burgers and chips are very good indeed, just the value for money is a bit out of whack.

Yummo!. The service and atmosphere at Grilld Malvern in fantastic! The Baa Baa Burger is my favourite! Definitely coming back!

A clear favourite. I have a very young family and come here to get away from cooking. I "spoil" the family by bringing them here. It is always so healthy, fresh & popular with my young kids. I would always reconmmend this place, especially is you are young and hip or even have them with you.

Like and dislikes. I like em for their healthy and mouth watering burgers, I dislike them for pulling out of Movember sponsorship half way through the month.

YUM. So the burgers are rather overpriced and hard to fit into your mouth like a usual McChicken or Cheeseburger. At least it fills me up for longer than 20 minutes in comparison to them.<br/><br/>I ALWAYS have the Zen Hen when I have Grill'd and it's always the best, with fresh (I like to think 'fresh') salad and a nicely grilled chicken, tender and sweet :D<br/><br/>If you have an Entertainment Book Voucher, I most definitely recommend you to go :) Buy one free one :D

A review of Grill'd by The Fish. When I stepped into the interior of Grill'd in Malvern, I was impressed to see lots of fresh ingredients behind the counter. There were people making nice fresh hamburgers. "This is good" i thought, and I placed an order for the Bacon & Cheese burger. What can I say, other than, it was a delicious treat which I enjoyed. Good healthy burgers. I dont understand why anyone would go to jackers or mcdonnalsds if they have a close one of these by... its just good healthy wholesome burgers, the way they SHOULD BE, not made tasty by fatty sauces or animal fat but rather good recipie spicings

Fantastic burgers. Must be best in town. The chicken with satay is divine. The scribblings on the wall entertaining and the counter staff cool.
