Staff are friendly and polite. Coffee hands down is always soo nice and great quality. I go here every morning before work and I have not yet had one bad coffee.
My top pick of the cafés on Glenferrie Rd. Coffee is consistently excellent, and service is always quick and friendly. The food on display looks great and tastes better, but if you've got a bit more time the menu is the way to go - omelettes highly recommended!
We come here every Saturday morning for breakfast for the great food, friendly service and atmosphere. Their food is great value (we can spend half as much here compared to other cafes and still be satisfied). We both love the ham, cheese and tomato croissant with bechamel sauce. All their display food looks and tastes great. Off the menu we love the magic mushrooms and omelettes. Staff greet us with a smile always and remember what coffee we like.
Kevin, the owner of the restaurant leads this establishment is one of a kind. He is a leader, provides consistent disciplined food and more importantly always try's his hardest with the customers.
As you know I am a omelette guru and this is the top of the tree. The salmon, tomato, chilli, mushrooms and spinach are all fresh and the omelette is as tasty as it gets.
The tea is brewed just the perfect amount of time and the lemon is as if it was picked off the tree.
I always love the restaurant, I go at least once a week and I strongly recommend you give this great establishment a go. A must try in the Malvern area.

Very nice almond croissant! The main reason why I always go back to this place Waiters are quite attentative and the boss always tries to say hello to every customer. The sandwichs are better than average, but not as impressive as the croissants. The the omelettes could be very juicy and tender,but the quality of them is not that consistent.
On the downside, the coffee is just average, the place is a bit squeezy and the seats are not that comfortable.
Nevertheless, it's the best cafe in Malvern as far as I concern.

A nice and warm cafe. You will feel very cozy and happy as people served here are very passionate and enthusiastic. It is a big sunshine in the morning when you purchase the coffee.
Consistently superb. Still. From the best-in-class Avoliscious for breakfast to the out-of-this-world chicken sandwich for lunch, to the delightful code black coffee the Distributor seldom disappoints. Lovely staff as well. They sometimes take a little longer when it's busy, but understandably so. This place sets the standard for outstanding cafe eats in the Malvern area. I just wish they were open on Sundays!

The distributor always appears busy during lunch. My colleagues and I have come here for a lunch a few times, only to be turned away or told to wait because they are so busy. It's good that they're busy, but not so much when you want dine in last minute with a large group.
Many people from work love coming here, if not to enjoy their freshly made sandwiches, then to grab a sweet little pastry treat.
Staff are friendly and accommodating when reasonable.
On this occasion, my colleagues ordered some salads and sandwiches whereas I opted for the Magic Mushrooms. The mushroom and chestnut ragout was really nice and I would have been more than happy to have it on it's own without the two poached eggs and goats cheese. There was just a little too much dairy happening in the dish which was more than I could comfortably handle. The mushrooms however were delicious.
As for the toasted sandwich, one colleague found it to be one of her favourites i.e. the tuna egg sandwich, while the kale salad was pretty good as well.
Came here for lunch during work, there was a great range of sandwiches that all looked delicious and were reasonably priced! The coffee was average. But it's a good place to grab a quick lunch.
I went to the Distributor Eatery for lunch on Saturday.
Let me just say that the service was excellent, the staff (i.e. waitresses, barista) were very friendly and attentive.
We ordered a chicken burger, beef burger and beetroot, celery and mint juice.
The burgers are chips were very nice. It tasted like a gourmet burger, I enjoyed the peri peri mayonnaise. The juice was a bit of a miss for me but it wasn't terrible. I think the flavours are bit strange together. It might help to add some ice.
I forgot to mention the price is very reasonable.
This is a lovely place!
We have been coming to this cafe for years - even before it was rebranded to its current name. The food is absolutely amazing here. I particularly love the bacon and egg breakfast muffin, the ham baguette, and the fresh baguette itself. The baguette here is the closest to the ones I had in France that I've been able to find in Melbourne. All the ingredients used here are of high quality and the staff are always so friendly. It can get really busy though as the locals know that this 'the' place to go for good quality cafe food.

Surprised at the negative reviews. Thankfully my experience was completely different! Cafe had a great vibe, the front counter was filled full of fresh food, the service was spot on and the food.,honestly some of the best in Melbourne..and I didnt have to wait ages for a table! Bonus!! Wonderful experience all around, I walked away satisfied and will definitely return😊
If you want coffee brewed to perfection and a brunch that will blow you away. This is the place to come.
I judge a cafe by its long black...is it over cooked! I've been to many well known cafe's and some of the coffee's have been terrible. Then I came here and could immediately taste a well cared for coffee.
I think their secret is the meticulous cleansing regime of their coffee machine. That actually inspired me to get the tools out to give my Rancilio Silva a much needed clean out.
Friendly staff always present, chilled atmosphere, but the food and coffee is what will keep you here!

This morning we decided to try out Sani Cafe. The atmosphere was great, with very soothing music.
We had the Benedict both in salmon and bacon with eggs on toast for the kids. Food presentation was great, our Benedict was very flavourful; with a combination of poached eggs salmon, bacon, warm spinach with salad with hollandaise sauce making it very tasteful, and warm it with a soy latte is great for a cold morning.
Overall good atmosphere, good food & friendly service. I would recommend this cage.
My Mum and I stopped in randomly for a coffee and bite to eat with 6 month old in tow. Food and coffee were delicious and the staff were so nice, friendly and accommodating (often not the usual reception in Melbourne cafes unfortunately, especially with a baby/pram in tow I've discovered). We thoroughly enjoyed our pit stop and would definitely drop in again if we're ever in the area!
Absolutely love this place. Coffee pretty good the staffs are friendly and funny, the food are quite nice especially the steak sandwich, beef burger and the veggies patch is absolutely amazing. Will definitely come back to this place again.
