Review Janices Cofe Pot On The Foreshore - Mandurah

Riley Schotte
Ordered a couple coffees and a coffee protein smoothie. The smoothie was really tasty and enjoyable, but the coffee tasted like it was made with sour milk. On top of that the coffee had a cereal flavour which is unlike coffee club’s usual beans. Really unpleasant and the first time in awhile we haven’t drunk all of our coffee. The service on the other hand was great!

Largish location, close to the back entrance of the Mandurah Forum. Close to the bus stops. Tends to rather busy, so it must be good. A place to meet and greet, or just catch up with a couple of friends. Side as per my 3 shots

Rainbow at home and great eggs at your own Coffee Club... .
Marie McGinnis
Eggs on toast really average - looked awful, some old green leaves on side, toast not really toasted.Won't be going back. Will be only going to my local cafes from now on.
John Mearns
Lovely, efficient staff. Didn't realise it was same mob that made terrible Coffee for me in Midland. This Flat White Almond was awesome...

Always a good stop off, good coffee and food as long as you have a little time on your hands
Robyn Richards
Friendly & helpful service, great breakfast which includes a tea or coffee with water views. You can sit, relax & watch the world go by & never feel rushed. We found it so good, we've come back again. Highly recommend.

Consistently amazing food and excellent service! This is our go-to at least once a fortnight for breakfast and have never once been disappointed, despite it usually being busy!

I have frequented that coffee shop many times and always had an excellent experience. It's sad to see a single stupid (yes, it was stupid) incident create so much drama. Businesses down that end of Mandurah Tce have had a very tough time while the bridgeworks have been in progress. The constant rain has spoiled the Winter Skating experience. One small mistake like this should not be allowed to ruin a (usually) very good local business.

+$0.60 for a deca and +$1.10 for soy milk. Sorry to say but this is a rip off... I will stick with the coffee shops that don't charge extra for these basic items.

Took my husband for breakfast this morning who has recently had a knee op and wanted to get out of the house. As he has a knee brace on his mobility is very limited. However the lady that served us was so accommodating and restored our faith in true customer service. We have been many times before and the meals are always of a high standard. Thank you for your service today it was very much appreciated.

Went there for coffee today.

Ordered an almond latte takeaway. I can honestly say was up there with the most awful cups of coffee I have ever had.

Pity as staff were friendly and looks like a funky place.

Delicious Eggs Benedict. Everything is so thoughtful - children get plastic plates and cutlery. Colouring with proper pencils also. Staff so friendly.

I took my precious time to come here on Anzac Day. Staff was rude, and running hectic! Not enough staff! I sat there for over 25 minutes before someone came to take my order then when I requested that instead of the toast for my Big Aussie breakfast that I would like to have the hash brown as I have a better reaction to it, they flat out refused. So after ignoring me, wasting my time and serving me with reluctance, a simple request I have made there before and received, was refused! I was still going to order then realised "I don't have to spend my money somewhere where I am not respected"! Very poor service and sad experience. I won't be going back. Mandurah has many other better places to eat opening every day and unless they get better like they used to, Janice Coffee Pot may finally be winding down soon. Sad that their service has deteriorated so quickly.

Staff are super friendly and quick to serve. There were several tables already seated and eating when i arrived, of all ages, which was nice to see on a Monday morning.

I was seated and had a coffee on my table before i could blink. The coffee was light and smooth. If you like strong coffee - like me - than definitely order the extra shot. But it was hot and creamy. Hit the spot.

I chose breakfast bruschetta on a whim - i uad a craving for mushrooms. It was delicious. A little on the acidic side with the onion chutney and tomatos. But it was warm, hearty and filling like you would want any winter breakfast to be. If it was a warmer day i may have substituted the mushroom for avocado to lighten the dish.

Will recommend and definitely be back.

First time weve been here, 5 of us came to eat, 3 of us bought juices from around the corner and were told our order was to be cancelled because we weren't allowed to have our own drinks after we already paid. Food was very average. Wont be coming back.

Visited Janice's today for the coffee & cake special on board outside. We asked what the cake choices were & was informed (only 3 to choose. From) I chose the carrot cake. Cake was very average, really dry & too dense for my liking. Coffee not that nice either. I asked for some water on ordering, none came, I had to go & fetch some myself. When it came to paying, they charged me for carrot cake and coffee as separate items & said the carrot cake wasn't included in the special, I pointed out that I'd been told it was, she reluctantly threw my change at me & was quite rude!

this is the best place for coffeee and home cooking and you are always welcome its home from home they care that you are ok that your food was good nice cold water on a hot day all part of the service its just one big family all staff are just the best so 10/ out 10 for the best in mandurah

Devastated. For the past 3 years we have been going to Janice's every weekend for breakfast. Today we went for the first time with the new owners. Am gutted to say the coffee was not a patch on the old brand, the scrambled eggs were laughable and the black pudding was ruined. Good luck to the new owners but we aren't going back.

Good service, not so great food. Went here for breakfast on Sunday morning and ordered a cheese and chive scone and a coffee.
The coffee was awful, burnt and had the taste of a $2 Hungry Jacks coffee.
Then was told they couldn't give me a cheese and chive scone because they were stale and couldn't be served. That's okay. So they gave me a general scone instead with jam and cream and it was like a rock it was so stale, no flavor and not fresh at all.

The girl that served me was so lovely but the food and coffee are at a low standard I don't think I will be back.

"Pot of Gold ". We have been fortunate to have found Janice's coffee Pot . We believe they serve the best coffee in Mandurah , the staff are friendly & courteous . Breakfast is both appetising & substantial for even the hungriest Scotsman ( or woman ) we have had several light meals there , and wouldn't hesitate to recommend " this wee pot of Gold " to anyone who hasn't discovered it yet ...And the owner makes everyone feel at home ..Thank you from a new local ...

Great breakfast!. Have been here a couple of times, have been pleasantly surprised by the quality and freshness of the food. The service was really friendly but not intrusive. Tried the Aussie and Irish brekkys and both were really nice . . .and great value with coffee included!
Jo
Have breakfast there regularly. Lovely and accommodating service. Always happy with it.

Vegetarian breakfast was scrumptious. Loads of freshly cooked button mushrooms and spinach, two eggs, gourmet relish, whole meal toast, with good tasting coffee included. Only $15 and the service is efficient and friendly. Dogs welcome. What a nice start to the day!

Great service and food always pleasant

Stressful atmosphere reflected from staff. Room for improvement with customer service and the muffin & scones are not too bad.

Breakfast and Coffee. In my juornal I have marked Janice's Coffeepot as good, they gave a big breakfast and a good coffee. I wrote that they get a 17 out of 20 and I'm not an easy person to impress.

I was so disappointed My family went here for lunch. We ordered a kids meal a hamburger with the lot and the grilled fish and salad. We got a plain hamburger and my fish tasted like old oil I complained about my meal after having one bite, the waitress was really nice and took it back to the kitchen about 5 minutes later the cook came out and quite rudely told me that her and all the staff had tried it and that their was nothing wrong with it and perhaps it was because I wasn't used to the taste of snapper. I told her not to worry about and didn't have my meal. However I was shocked when I was billed for it! Not only was their NO apology but I was told that it was my problem if I didn't like it! So I paid $ 20.00 for half a mouthful of fish.. I will not be returning!!!between my partner and i we gave over 20yrs experience in hospitality and have never done or had such a horrible time.

Nasty service ruined the day ,not happy with them, never go there again!!!

Very disappointed with service, rudely asked to leave with 3yo crying without a please whilst actually already in line to pay up and leave.

If you're after a hearty breakfast, excellent coffee and excellent service to boot, this is the place to be. Will definitely be back!

Great Place for Breakfast. With so many places of a very high standard to eat in Mandurah I have to say that Janice's is up there right with them. I live on the marina and happily walk past many larger and supposed quality places to Janice's for my breakfast. It is often quite busy but the friendly team always let you know if there is going to be a wait but, generally, your food is with you very promptly. The food is always fantastic quality and is very reasonably priced. I can't recommend Janice's Coffee Pot enough.

Great value for money, $8.50 pancakes were yummy, the staff were really nice and we didnt have to wait too long for our meals

Ordered yesterdays 'special' - calamari and salad. Very disappointed, kamboko (like artificial crab sticks) is not calamari. When I complained to the manager, she said 'no one else is complaining'
Steve
Waited 1/2 hr for the breakfasts and when they arrived they were only just warm. Toast and eggs were underdone. Plenty of places in mandurah to choose from and I won't be visiting janices again.
Emma Burston
Beautiful Breakfast. $15 for a beautiful breakfast, can't go wrong, heading there again this morning!

Lovely Brunch. My friend and I had just parked the car and this was the first cafe we walked past and we were attracted by the $8.50 pancakes advertised outside. The service was really friendly and helpful and I felt welcome. The food came out quickly and the pancakes were so delicious, with berries and ice cream, coffee was great, and the hot chips were fresh and tasty, cooked perfectly. I regret not leaving a tip! Will definitely be back.

Nice atmosphere, good service, real chicken and whole meal bread. That's four ticks :)
