Review The Bridge Garden Bar Restaurant - Mandurah

Lovely spot. Lunch in the garden with mum as an early Mother's Day to avoid the crowd. A few too many seagulls for my liking but they didn't try for the food on my plate which is just as well. Yummy steak sandwich and mum had gnocchi with rabbit and mushrooms. Very nice and relaxing.

We went as a group of 16 people. I had a fantastic steak sandwhich which was delicious: tender as well as being a good size. Their burgers are excellent as well.

We had some lunch on Sunday. My partner had the rump steak and chips, I ordered the roasted lamb dish with the pea purée and the steamed vegetables. The food was very tasty , very flavoursome even though there was way too much salt in the steamed vegetables and the lamb dish. If it wasn’t for the salt would have been a 5 stare rating. Also, the live music made our time spent in the garden part of the restaurant even more enjoyable.
Gold Nugget
Great location with a building rich in history. Unfortunately the establishment offers below average "pub grub" at brewery prices. The staff are more interested in ascertaining your private medical information rather than providing a service of any kind. Plenty of other venues with better food and service to spend your money.

The meal is brilliant. The pork belly is so soft. Grilled chicken is awesome too, you don’t even need any sauce with it. We all love the pork bun. So deliciousssss. This place is now my top restaurant in Mandurah

Sirloin Steaks & Chicken Parmi were all delicious. Lovely fresh yummy salad, great chips & garlic bread. Cocktails. Relaxed garden dining. Will definitely be back. Thanks heaps.

We enjoyed our lunch meal, the staff are accommodating as two of us requested a smaller version of the salmon risotto and the third person enjoyed the steak of the day. It was Disappointing that the Hot Mead was not available on such a wet winters day 😲 The fire place warmed our cockles anyway

Nice relaxed atmosphere. A beer garden to sit in when it is sunny. Fire in the front bar and heaters in the outside area when it is cold.

Staff were lovely but food was disappointing ordered the steak with sauce on the side - Steak came loaded with the sauce on top and steak was in top of the fries which were also covered in sauce - couldn’t eat it - husband ordered steak sandwiche. Overcooked and no flavour Great staff but food was a let down

We had a sit down meal for 22 people for my 60th birthday, not only was the food served quickly, it was also hot and delicious, the young lady who served us was outstanding . I would not hesitate to recommend this place it, a lovely night was had by all. Thank you!

Went for a birthday dinner on Thursday and the majority of us chose the chicken schnitzels with various toppings for $15 and I have got to say it was the best schnitzel I've had. Will definately be coming again, great food, great atmosphere and great staff. Thanks

Tried the new menu and loved it. We had the mixed tasting plate so we could try a few different things. Each dish was delicious. We also tried the Soft Shell Crab Taco and it was really nice and so well priced. Definitely going to be out regular now!

Took the family out for my fathers Birthday well what a disappointment! Table was covered in dust from the open door which I guess was an over look, but on arrival we stood there like mummies no one told us to grab a menu and order a drink at the bar ! Staff were very distracted and when the meal was put on the table we had to go and request cutlery! Asked if we could have starters first but nope came out all in one and the food was terrible ! Only have a one star because my dad’s chicken parmigiana was nice ! Won’t be back what a shame I was looking at it for a casual wedding venue

Lovely lunch very friendly helpful staff. Would highly recommend this place. If there was one constrictive criticism, I think your disabled access sign should be more prominent. We nearly didn’t come in when we saw the old access door padlocked. Thankfully the staff told me where it now is. Hoping to be back before our trip ends. Many thanks for everything today.

Every time we’ve been we’ve been impressed with service and the quality of food. Visited again today and had the seafood laska- omg such amazing flavours. Is definitely one of our favourite restaurants and worth the 30min drive every time

We just held my husband's 60th there and Dean and staff were amazing!! It was an imitate affair and Dean went out of his way to make the area look stunning. The service was 5 star and the food was delicious. I will highly recommend this venue to everyone who wants to host an intimate dinner right up to a wedding party. Dean and staff are very professional and very helpful and efficient!

A lovely experience. Such friendly staff that greeted us with a smile, prompt service and very clean. Excellent, tasty food. I'll definitely be back again.

We had the $15 lunch special and it was really good value. All our meals were very tasty and good sized portions. The service was excellent and the garden bar was lovely. I will definitely go there again.

When you walk into a restaurant and get seated, no one takes orders in reasonable amount of time, then someone else walks in and gets orders taken before us! Not happy! We have been here before and enjoyed the experience but the last couple of times we have been very disappointed! Shame because we would have easily spent 4 x people, alcohol and desert.... walked out after 30 mins of no service...

We went here for lunch yesterday afternoon and had, WA caught Pink Snapper in a healthy light batter with way better than your average chips (not in the slightest bit greasy) with tasty aioli and a fresh salad, a lunch special Vegetarian Pasta (sauce not out of a jar) full of fresh vegetables and very tasty. Well mannered, polite and friendly service, whoever owns this establishment can rest assured that the two lovely ladies who served us are doing their business justice. The beautiful crackling open fire inside brings a lovely ambiance or you can sit on the verandah and keep warm by the overhead heaters watching the estuary and the world go by.

We went here last night for dinner, we ordered the spiced moroccan lamb shank and the black angus sirloin steak with a side of garlic prawns. The lamb was super tender, falling off the bone and it was just delicious. The steak was cooked to our liking, medium rare. With friendly service on top, it was overall a very enjoyable dining experience!

This place has such potential but I'm afraid it's nowhere near being realised. The new garden is excellent but wasted. Tables aren't cleared - the chairs are often dirty - the back smokers section needs a cover over it as birds constantly mess on furniture and guests including us! Service is almost non existent. Staff pleasant but ill equipped to cope. Popped in last night Easter Thursday and in the end had to cancel the order because there was no sign of the meal arriving.after an hour - and not just us. Staff were constantly apologising for delays. A competent manager is URGENTLY needed - as I said the staff were very pleasant but not up to the job and not enough of them. The place could be the best in Mandurah but a very long way to go - urgent attention needed!

This place can be hit and miss. We recently enjoyed a late lunch at the Bridge and although the staff were a little inexperienced they tried, and that is fine.

Worst meal out and service ive ever experienced. Went on valentines day for lunch, and first it took about 20 minutes just for our drinks to come out. We'd ordered 2 entrees and only 1 came out 40 minutes later. When our lunch came out an hour later we asked about our missing entree to be told it was forgotten. There was also a family next to us who was there before us and had to leave after waiting over an hour for food, they left without food and without getting their money back. There was also no cutlery or napkins so my partner and I had to wipe our hands on newspaper. Words cannot say how bad this place was.

Visited for the first time with my husband and elderly mother, since renovations were completed. What a disappointment!!
Service was ordinary and lacked any attention to detail.
Food - well what a inapt description.
Mum and Pete had the beer battered cobbler ((which was not crispy at all & had bones in it) and neither one finished their meal.
I ordered the Squid sambal salad and received a Tablespoon of squid if lucky and it was $19!!!!

One more restaurant in Mandurah which we will not be visiting!!

First 4 things we ordered they were not preparing. Poor service, bad food, bad coffee. Not impressed. Don't waste your time and money. Quite a pity as it is a great location.

Food was average (maybe even a bit below) but the cockroach running around between ours and another table and the waitress telling us "we've just had the bug sprayers in so they are coming out from everywhere at the moment" was pretty off putting. Sadly we had already eaten or we would have left after that!

Hubby and I went here for dinner on a Friday night. Arrived at 530pm and was adv it was happy hour so we had to wait 30 minutes for dinner. Fortunately the waitress brought over complimentary squid and wedges to accompany our drinks. The squid was over cooked. But free...
Dinner on other hand was amazing. Hubby had sambal squid and I had the creamy penne. I could have had a second bowl. Delicious!
Staff were attentive, the ambience was lovely, meal was reasonably priced.

Great ambience and lunch deals including the $15 250g MSA steak with chips and salad which we ordered, however the service is very slow which could be a problem if you are in a hurry. We also had the cheesecake and lemon scroll for dessert. Lovely cheesecake but average lemon scroll as artificial lemon flavoring is used.

Mother's Day breakfast debacle. Booked for Mother's Day breakfast today for 7 people. Parents in law arrived before us & they ordered coffee, only to wait more than 30 mins for coffees and we had to ask for bottles of water 4 times. We Ordered meals and coffees for everyone and the meals were delivered an hour later - and then they forgot the most basic meal being fresh fruit for my sister and her order for pot of tea. My eggs Benedict were cold and then finally sisters order of fruit and tea come out.

I know it was Mother's Day and I know they were busy but c'mon look at your booking numbers 2 days beforehand and bring in more staff. Are they going to go broke like cafe pronto because of lousy service ...

Giving Up. Been trying ALL day to call and book a table of 10... No answer at all... Will try somewhere else.
AMD
Woeful. Oh dear they appear to have followed in the fine Pronto tradition of lousy service. Tried to get in without a booking - said they would see if a table was free. Left us like shags on a rock for 5 minutes without the pretence of seeing if we could be seated. Won't be trying again any time soon.

Dinner Out. I live locally and used to frequent this restaurant when it was Prontos. We like The Bridge just as much. Haven't had any service/meal/food issues when we have had dinner. Best Morrocan Lamb shanks ever. Staff attentive, service prompt, asked several times if we needed more drinks, dessert offered when the mains were cleared away. Recommended.

Would not recommend. Incredibly slow service, and food took over an hour to come. Was told as we paid that the slow service was due to another large table. Would of been nice to know before we ordered.

Breaky with hubby. Just the two of enjoying a great breakfast and reasonably priced...... We will return

VERY BAD ... THE BRIDGE RESTAURANT ... The worst service in Mandurah, I believe.
Two of us went there this morning for breakfast at 9:20 am after 5 minutes, the waitress took our order and she was very pleasant. We waited and waited and waited for 30 minutes for our breakfast to come. Whilst we were waiting, one table of seven and one table of four got up and left because their order had not been taken. After 30 minutes I went inside where there were two staff members at the coffee machine and told them of our long wait and that they were losing cusomers because they were not being served, I suggested they should tell their manager of this poor service. I also said that if our meals were not delivered within another 5 minutes we would leave and go to The Dome in Halls Head. The man at the coffee machine shrugged his shoulders and just looked at me. I went back to our table and waited another ten minutes. We then left and went to the Dome, ordered our meals and they were delivered to our table within six minutes. I predict that if this business does not make some changes soon to the way it operates, it will fail.

Never Again. Breakfast this morning. Order taken, 1 big breaky & 1 vegie breaky plus 2 coffees. Cafe was not that busy, but you could notice people looking every time a dish came out to see if it was theirs. 45 minutes later the breakies arrive, cold. Still haven't seen the coffees. Go to pay, EFTPOS machine down. Now they're directing customers to ATM's down the street to pay with cash. Very unprofessional. Never going back.

Rang 10am to book table asked for 5pm for dinner for 7. . Booking taken and left mobile no . Presented at 5pm with family , sat down then told "we were about to close" you can have a limited choice from our menu ". Poor communication !! . Would have booked elsewhere if we knew. As it was we left and went elsewhere. Would thnk twice about going back .

Pleasant Surprise. We took a chance and dropped in for dinner one evening during the week and were pleasantly surprised.
Although there is not a huge choice on the menu, what we ordered was delicious, the meals were cooked to perfection, full of flavour.
We left very satisfied and would definitely recommend this restaurant .

Amazing, must go!!. Absolutely love it, been back a fair few times & will keep coming back! Monday steak night & Tuesday pasta nights both great quality at a reasonable price, big servings for only $15! The staff are friendly & helpful, great vibe in comparison to the venues old management of Prontos.

Great Start. I arrived late Saturday morning on their 1st day of breakfast service. was infofmed the kitchen was just switching to lunch service but they accommodated me anyway. Coffee very good. not too strong and perfectly made. Eggs florentine to were perfectly cooked. portions a bit smaller than some in Mandurah but for me thats good. Very warm professional service and reasonable prices. will def return soon
Good Foodie
Food disappointing. I love this location and venue, alas the food lacks flavour. Squid and salad tasteless, coating was all wrong and no flavours in bean sprout salad. The salmon tasted bland, no seasoning or flavour, however the artichoke served with it was good. The management will have to taste the food and have a good look at What they can improve to survive......something tasty please.

New Restaurant. Reservation for 6pm, seated promptly.
Waited 20 mins for waitress to come back with menus and water.
Waitress had to be called back to take drinks order.
Waited another 15 minutes then another waitress came out and took our food order, when we said we were still waiting for our drinks off she went to find out where they were. 10 minutes later they arrived. Waited another 20 minutes for garlic bread to arrive, then our mains arrived a few minutes later. Had to ask for another drink.
Foods ok nothing startling. No offer made to see sweets menu or offer of coffee. Will try again in a few weeks to see if they have got their act together.

Group of Nine. We booked for New Years Eve and were pretty disappointed. Firstly we requested outside table but did not get our wish. Secondly the fixed menu was very ordinary - accept price was as expected but quality average. There was no atmosphere during our time 8.30 to 11 when we decided to move on.

Happy Families. We were so happy to to hear the restaurant had reopened and were pleased with the new changes. The menu has something for everyone, well priced and a spectacular view of the foreshore to boot. The staff were very friendly and food was amazing. We will definitely be back with our friends! Thanks.

Had lunch here today on a Saturday and we were very impressed. Lovely mannered staff and the food was delicious. They were happy to alter my meal. I had the prawn, scallop and muscle linguine minus the muscles. My friend had the fish and chips and the fish was cooked beautifully - moist fish and the chips were very yummy. Very happy with our meals and they weren't over priced.

Can't wait to go back!. We had a fabulous New Year at this great new Cafe & Bar in Mandurah, with a perfect view of the New Year fireworks from the verandah!
The food was a real treat - an entree of perfectly cooked prawns and chorizo, and then main courses that were also cooked to perfection. The barramundi with a pesto crust was superbly cooked and served with fresh baby asparagus and potatoes, and the chicken cordon bleu was amazingly moist and tender and full of flavour.
Dessert was a very generous selection of both superbly smooth creme brûlée and a cheese platter with 3 cheeses, crackers, nuts and dried fruits.
Compliments to the Chef on a superb and well-cooked menu, and the evening was topped off by the excellent, friendly, service from the staff.
Thanks for a great night and we can't wait to return.

First and last time. First time since it changed hands and I won't be going back. Food was mediocre, floor staff were very friendly and couldn't do enough for you, but the woman in charge of them was too loud. When your out for a quiet meal you don't want to hear staff shouting orders constantly.
We had the lamb and a beetroot salad, the lamb was ok but the salad, if you could call it that, it was more like a side salad, I am Sure the beetroot was not freshly roasted, I asume it was out if a tin and the bread that came with it covered half of the plate. Poor choice of deserts, and the coffee, I couldn't drink it, the milk was boiling hot.
