Review Belgrave Cartel - Manly

Hands down THE best cafe for breakfast/lunch in Manly - consistently delicious food from a wonderful group of people. Plenty of gluten free options (much appreciated!) + extremely family/pet friendly spot. Highly recommend the scrambled eggs on GF toast with a side of smoke salmon *chefs kiss* Can’t wait to go back!

Mixed experience here in the past, but particularly disappointing last weekend. The cafe was very busy and only seemed to have two quite young children working as runners across the entire outside space, who seemed incredibly overrun and lacked support. We had a soy latte that had split. It happens at times, but never have we had a barista argue back (via the young girl running the coffees) that soy lattes ‘just do that’, as if we should be happy to pay 3-4$ for a split coffee. If you can’t make it don’t serve it. Edit: the owner should be celebrated for their recognition of how entitlement works. When goods are paid for the payee is indeed entitled to receive them. Preferably without having to insist twice that it should be drinkable, and without service that is reminiscent of the days when children worked the mines.

Felt I had to respond to the recent review from Michael complaining about how young a couple of the waiting staff are. As a regular Market Lane customer I’ve always found these girls to be so friendly, efficient and professional. Good for them to have taken the initiative to get themselves a holiday job. I think it’s great to see young locals earning money and gaining experience that will help them in future life. One of my very first jobs was waitressing and I learnt heaps about customer service, taking responsibility and working in a team from this.

Best coffee & muffins in Manly! Popular with locals and tourists alike. A wonderful little gem of a cafe with excellent food, coffee and service. Dog-friendly with outdoor seating. Close to Whistler car park and Woolworth Metro next door. Plenty of options for vegetarians and vegans. It tastes as good as it looks. Great little place for breakfast and brunch.

Market lane is the best spot for coffee & breaky/lunch in manly. They’re staff work so hard considering they are busy on the daily & they still provide you with the best food & coffee. Wouldn’t go anywhere else!!! ❤️

Disappointed by the attitude of the guys and manager working behind the bar. They forgot a part of my order, then when I asked for it later, they chased me down (twice) to pay for it when I had already paid. I had to access my internet banking on my phone to show them I had in fact paid. Food is great, but didn’t appreciate the third degree on a sat morning breakfast.

One of the beset Cafe's I have been too! Staff are extremely friendly and helpful, food is amazing. The Chicken Wrap is one of the best i have ever eaten. The entire menu looks amazing and not to mention the naughty juices. Will defiantly be back and a place to recommend to everyone i know. Thank you Market Lane!

After hearing many good reviews of this restaurant I went for dinner with my partner tonight. Everything was perfect, we had a nice table at the backyard and the waiter was really friendly. We ordered two drinks and food. Once the drinks came, I had a sip on mine and realized it had tequila -which I clearly missed when I ordered it. I kindly asked the waiter if he could replace it as I can’t drink tequila. The poor guy didn’t know what to do and called the manager, a lady called HANNAH. She came in with the worst attitude and asked me if I had read the menu properly. We explained her the situation and she said it was our fault for not reading the ingredients, we ordered a new one. We were both surprised at her manners. 20 minutes later and after starting eating the food the new drink came and it was perfect, also she took the previous drink with her. The food was ok. We ordered a dessert and the check. When the bill came we realized they charged us the 3 cocktails! My partner asked the waiter what happened and he just responded: it’s our restaurants policy. If you order something you have to pay for it. So are we supposed to pay even if we made an innocent mistake of thinking that the cocktail didn’t have tequila?? We were extremely surprised and disappointed, this is the first time we are treated with such rudeness and felt how this restaurant doesn’t look after their clients. What should have been a simple drink replacement in any restaurant/bar, ended up ruining our night. Definitely not going back.

My absolute favourite bar and cafe in all of Manly and Sydney! I stop in every morning for the best coffee in town. I often grab brekky and lunch there as well. The Avo and the Bacon and Mushroom Pasta are my absolute favourites! The venue itself is so unique and it makes for a great hangout and drinking spot. My favorite part about Belgrave is the staff. They are all so amazing, unique and fun! 10/10 would recommend if you are in Manly!

The boys have been there since day one and there's a reason why. Joe, Mick, Pete & Drew know how what they're doing when it comes to food, drink and coffee. Belgrave Cartel has everything your heart could desire, breakfast, lunch, dinner, late night drinks and live music. By far my favourite place on the Northern Beaches. And I wouldn't drink anyone else's coffee!

Restaurant has good atmosphere and food is alright. I had a terrible experience though, as I found a piece of plastic (5cm long) in my dish. Almost broke a tooth!! Management did not even come to apologize and we were refused a replacement dish (a dessert)... Bill was 100$ per couple, which I find ridiculous if you serve plastic to customers.

We had dinner at Belgrave Cartel last night. A new find & a new favourite. We shared the calamari which almost melted in your mouth, the burrata, meatballs & an amazing lasagna. Plenty for 3 washed down with a nice Italian Pinot Grigio. Great ambience & knowledgeable service made this a great night! Keep it secret! :)

Just gorgeous Industrial, rustic loved old large preserve cans feature wall and the red lampshades and exposed walls a bit like the old GAS nightclub. Loved the breakfast menu very posh and look forward to coming to Live Music Sundays �
