Amazing food, service and ambiance. What a fabulous experience at the Herring Room, we have already booked our next dinner. Ang, Rod and Joey could not have done anything more for us and the food was spectacular, our new favourite in Manly.
The service is so good that it alone deserves a 5 star. The owner greets you at the door and makes sure everything is perfect. The food is amazing and the 5 course degustation with salmon, scallop, duck, octopus and desert will not disappoint.
Tucked in away from the main beach but not too far away either. Sitting on a lang originally owned by the Guringai people, the oldest surviving continuous culture in the world.

My second time here and I enjoyed it again as much as the first time. Things to try: degustation menu! Fantastic WA scallops and octopus, tender duck breast cooked to perfection and special semifredo dessert. Great service with a smile and very cosy interior design.
What an experience! Thank you so much The Herring Room for an amazing night. We ordered the seafood platter which was amazing! Huge serving jam packed with fresh flavours. The whole snapper in particular is a knock out dish.
