Prime position, with uninterrupted views of Manly Beach.
Awesome brekkie, but I went for sun-downers, with a long dinner and wine.
Watch the waves roll in, volleyballers out the front, with immaculate food, and a great wine list.
Staff were attentive. Price point was spot on.
I visited "The Pantry Manly" with no reservation on Saturday afternoon. Staff were extremely friendly, professional & happy to find us a table for 2. The view no matter where you sit allows you to look at the beach.
The Restaurant is cosy & has great atmosphere. It is also capable of sitting large groups, would recommend booking if this is the case.
Food was fabulous and fresh, they were happy to make a change due to my current health requirements, without any fuss.
Highly recommend spending an afternoon or evening here, whether for a special occasion or just catching up with friends.
We arrived without a booking and the staff were very accomodating fitting 7 of us in for lunch. The coffee is excellent and the food better. The position and view are to die for. Pricey, but that's what you expect in Sydney.

The Salmon, as suggested by the chef, was cookies medium rare and taste beautiful. The Beer Burger was out of this world. And the ice coffee, superb
Price is just right for the quality and service....And the whole experience.

We ended our lovely adventure at the Northern Beaches by having an early dinner at The Pantry Manly. It’s a lovely venue situated right on the beach at Many. They say they have the best view in Manly and it’s hard to disagree. Sitting in seats facing the amazing ocean view we sipped on one of our favourite summer drinks, Aperol Spritz. It’s such a colourful, refreshing and great tasting beverage. It’s Summer in a glass.
My new fav restaurant in Manly, all the dishes were delicious and well portioned. You can also see Manly beach from the restaurant. Pictured are spanner crab & king prawn spaghettini, herb crusted rack of lamb, confit pork belly, scallop ceviche & tuna tataki. Will be back for sure!

Busy cafe on a weekend, they kindly accommodated for our group by squeezing in extra seats.
I ordered the wild mushroom and gruyere tart which was yummy and a good portion for light breakfast.
Prices are expected for the location (the cafe is on the beach front).
Service,however, was extremely slow. We were later told that a few of the dishes we ordered had to be made fresh to order and hence the wait, however they forgot to mention this at the time of ordering.
This place is a favourite for my wife and me, the head CHef John and his team are so talented.
The location is right on Manly Beach, Beachside, not street side.
The BBQ Brisket Burger and all their tapas are amazing but the Foie Gras Pate take the crown.
Match all the above with a few beers, that view and you are good to go.

There is a variety on the menu and I would suggest ordering a variety and sharing. The stand out dishes were the scallops and the chilli and garlic prawns. Great flavour and we definitely wanted more.
The salt and pepper calamari was okay. The barramundi was delicate.
I would be keen to go again and try more of the dishes. It was impressive.
The restaurant isn’t too big or crowded. It has a Beachy vibe. Staff are really friendly, too.
Very friendly service and perfect location. I had the chicken salad with caramelised garlic bread (must try!) and the manly mule cocktail. It was all very delicious! It is a little on the expensive side but you pay for what you get. This was my second time here and I can’t wait to come back!
Beautiful view, good service, and really nice modern Australian dining! Our family was really glad that we found this place and had lunch there. The duck was really nice, croquette and scallop salad too. Good selection of wines.
The Pantry has definitely been on my foodie list for a while so when friends from out of town were visiting, I knew exactly where to take them! The view from inside was amazing - the stretch of beach from above is nothing like any other. The food was decent modern Australian cuisine, although I ordered a salad which was delicious, I would recommend the burger for the price and taste. Overall you can't go wrong with The Pantry!!!!

A cafe/restaurant with Ocean views ain’t nobody complaining about that especially in the lovely manly.
I’ve visited a few times now and as good as the fruit platter looks (for you Instagram lovers) the French toast or Benedict is my clear winner when it comes to breakfast! Nice big portions taste bloody brilliant. Would love to see more or a twist on the classic food items but I guess the menu works well for them currently.
Coffee is a bit of a hit and miss here but at the end of the day it’s not your usual place to stop for a daily coffee. It more of a nice brunch/ lunch spot to enjoy a good meal with a drink and of course the view!
All in all it's a good little place to stop by for a brunch when next in Manly.
There was a cue for Sunday brunch so we returned the following day for plenty of seating. It's a nice view right on the beach and the interior is stylish. The wait staff were nice and so was the food. Nothing amazing though.
Basically on the beach with stunning ocean views. The fit out is great and the staff are friendly and laid back. Great variety for breakfast. Generous serves and really delicious! Good coffee too!
Good food, good view. A little pricey(i guess for the view). Service was good too:) had a riverina eye fillet and barramundi. The wild boar and duck terrine could have a bit more on serving size.

Can you get any closer to the waves at Manly's main beach! To brunch in this very smart, yet relaxed beach bistro, in such a prized position should really be on everyone's bucket list; both tourists and locals alike! The food is wholesome, organic, local and bursting with flavour and colour. Had the sunniest of scrambled eggs and my friend devoured "the best avocado toast" of his life which was combined with tasty ricotta and a side of "the best" tomato relish! Service is friendly and coffee is great! Coming back to try more of the menu; a breakfast board sounds like a good idea! Try and get a seat next to the sand; it's so worth it!

Staff are fantastic and accommodating without being 'in your face'.
Location is perfect whether a Sydney local or tourist. Views of Manly beach are beautiful all year round, summer, winter and even thunderstorms!
The actual restaurant is well balanced in decor. Not an over the top hipster cafe. It is elegantly hip.
Food is always good and if there are any issues staff are always great to work with you.
Will definitely continue to come back.
Was going for the breakfast but missed it (the boards looked awesome!). Lunch options were less appealing. Ordered the Salmon, came medium rare and was delicious, but wanted something more flavourful. Love the view and the vibe though.
The Pantry, catering to both locals and visitors to Manly Beach has a prime location. So close, the water is less than 50 meters from the restaurant. In fact, you will not find a closer dining spot unless you bring a picnic blanket and packed lunch. The Pantry has rustic interior which is set up for you to comfortably enjoy a meal whilst taking in the scenic Manly beach. Not at all pretentious, the staff are friendly and attentive, adding the relaxed Australian manner to this beachside dining experience.
After long walk along Manly Beach and nack we were both ready for lunch. Having no preferences we decided on Than Pantry, as it looked great from the outside. We were greated by a warm welcome and seated without a booking even though the room was very busy. The atmoshere is relaxed beach side but the food is much better than the atmoshere portrays. We started simy with the goats cheese walnut and pear brushgetta, wow, followed by a New zealand Vension Wellington and fillet steak both were presented perfectly. We chose a wine we'd never had before and were blown away by it. We will be back to The Pantry Manly and decommend it for lunch and most likely diner.
Staff were lovely and got us a nice table close to the window as we had a guest visiting from the UK so we could have a nice view. Chicken pate was beautiful with the nice warm bread roll. I had the salmon and it was cooked perfectly. The fennel salad was nice and light and refreshing. My husbands barramundi was also delicious.
Beautiful spot on the beach, tables by the window are lovely in the evening. Service is spot on charming English waitress . The barramundi was perfectly cooked no cutlery required as it melted in the mouth. The Spanish style black pudding was to die for can still taste it :) banoffee pie was a little too heavy but I guess it should be. Great spot look forward to next Manly trip and a chance to try it out again
The Pantry Manly is a fantastic venue that is cheaper than one would expect for its epic location. If you want a chilled place to dine with friends or want to show off Manly to visiting foreigners, this is the place you want to go. It will forever hold the title of best garlic bread on planet earth for me.

A comfy and cosy cafe right on the beach, a good place where to enjoy some coffe, a cuppa or some breakfast after a stroll on the beach. Of course it's on the pricey side of cafes, but you pay for the quality you are getting. The pancakes were really good, highly recommended the combination with caramelized walnuts. They also serve Irrewarra granola, which I had with fresh, seasonal fruits. Coffee is good, I would definitely be back. Pancakes are definitely a must-have.

Stepped in for lunch because a) it was the closest to where I was; b) it had great reviews; c) served French food.
I wish I was hungry enough to order half the menu but had to settle for something that would just about suffice as I had a ferry ride on the horizon, and the sea was in its elements.
I ordered a tenderloin but the order taker suggested I switch to the Rib-eye. Don't know if following his advice would have made any difference as every plate that floated before me to land at some other table looked fab.
The steak (Grilled Riverina Eye Fillet & mushroom jus w/ potato dauphinoise, roasted tomatoes & baby onions.) was done exactly the way I wanted it. Crusty moist texture on the outside and rare soft pink in the centre. I asked for some Dijon Mustard, but after one bite of the steak wondered why I even wanted to corrupt the flavours.
For a change, I ate slowly, enjoying every morsel while enjoying the great views outside and the energy inside.
I was so tempted to order dessert but then I had to be practical. My loss.
Fantastic spot on the esplanade at Manly, we have brunched, lunched and dined here at different times in different seasons and never been disappointed....
The charcuterie is impressive,and the red meat fishes always crowd pleasers. The air dried tuna is awesome but subtle, don't mix it in with other, stronger flavoured tapas dishes.

The Pantry in Manly is the ultimate location for ladies who like to lunch. Think beachside eatery overlooking Manly’s foreshore whilst a Summer breeze rolls into the restaurant - there isn’t much better when it comes to location. Seated at the front of the restaurant, we were blessed with a great Summers day with the entire restaurants front widows opened up. We shared the scallops for entree and for mains the Prawn Salad & the Salmon dish.
This is one of my favourites for lunch in Manly. Couldn’t ask for a better location right on the beach. I have never had a bad meal here. The ploughmans is excellent (the terrine, my god the terrine) and the chilli crab pasta is always tasty. The only downside I can think of is that it gets VERY loud in here when full. But if you can deal with that, definitely worth a try and a great place to take out of town or overseas visitors.

Previous rating 3: The pantry is one of my favourite spots for breakfast on a sunny morning. It overlooks the beach and has stunning views from the right seat. Alongside their amazing breakfast. They serve beautiful coffee's and have a wide range of wines. The staff are very friendly and the place has a very earthy, warm vibe to it.
Perfect beachside location with French provincial décor. Gnocchi with spinach, pumpkin, ricotta, pine nuts was AMAZING and very filling. Crab and prawn pasta was different but rich in flavour. Would definitely dine there again.
We came here on a Sunday arvo for unplanned lunch for two. This restaurant is in a great location on the beach very close to the main pedestrian malls. We were very lucky to get a table at such a busy time period. Our table however was right next to the main entrance door which meant we kept closing it as people left it open (only slightly irritating).
We were greeted nicely and told they'd bring water back which never happened however I understand they were busy. Eventually though we had to ask again for water & also get their attention so we could order lunch.
We both had the NY Steak Frites which was nice enough but pretty much steak and chips with bernaise sauce & a tourist price to match. We also enjoyed an Adelaide Hills Cider.
This property is decked out really well matching its surroundings. Unfortunately it was very noisy with a number of screaming babies and overly energetic kids racing around. In saying that, maybe avoid the weekend & head there for a mid week lunch.

I never write reviews but the great staff and absolutely awesome food SO deserves and positive rap.! Location five star, ambience 5 star.. The eye fillet cooked med / rare to perfection. The rack of lamb covered in a mint sauce I really need to know how to make. It took every bit of will power not to lick my plate..
I opt for a light dessert… Dessert is a lovely contrast of textures, flavours and temperatures. The velvety crema, the bitter espresso and the richness of the ice-cream. The contrast of cold and warm is evident with the inner firmness of the ice-cream and the outer scoop which has felt the wrath of the espresso and has melted into a runny molten liquid. It’s a refreshing pick-me-up dessert that prolongs the afternoon gaze of the beach! I just love it. Overall the lunch was wonderful, beautiful wines, wonderful friendly attentive staff, amazing food and a view that would capture the heart of even the most seasoned traveler. ...goats cheese, pear, walnut & honey bruschetta is a textural feast; sweet flecks of firm pear dance with the smooth, goaty tang. Morcilla (blood sausage) may be scary for some, but is soft and full of flavour. My dining partner is a convert.
Absolutely fabulous spot with delicious food although a maybe little too much oil on some of the tapas/salad. Would definitely come back. Excellent menu. Quintessential Sydney beach cafe.

Rustic, great views/food. I was in Manly for business and in looking for somewhere good I stumbled on this unlikely venue on the beach footpath, that looked closed, but luckily was not. The restaurant was styled after it's name and very pleasant. The staff were unpretentious and knowledgable. The food was well presented, and tasty. In addition to a good range of entrees, tapas was also an entree option or could be lots of small plate ideas as a main. Pricing was good. Overall very enjoyable, and a pleasant dining experience. 8 out of 10.

Is there a better view from a dining room.... Great location....excellent food and solid, sharp service makes for a generally reliable dining experience. When you can combine these ingredients then you have a recipe for success and on my visit the cake certainly rose up.
Oh and did I mention the view...you've got to see it.

Wow, what a view! Ideal place to start the New Year. Loved our sardines on sourdough, as well as poached pears on brioche. Coffee smooth and service friendly and quick.
