Review Boilerhouse Kitchen & Bar - Manly

We had a really great experience at the Boilerhouse. We had afternoon drinks outside and then returned for dinner. The food was delicious, such a great location and atmosphere. The staff were really friendly and service just wonderful! I definitely would go back.

We discovered this place randomly on the way back to Sydney, and we are really happy. The staff were friendly and the food was great, a bit pricy though. But it really worth the enjoyment from the beautiful view. It was also nice visiting the Hydro Majestic Shop next to it. strongly recommended.

The worst dining experience I have ever had. We did not receive menus to our table for 45 minutes after arriving, the drinks took another 45 mins and the waiter brought me the wrong drink and told me that I had ordered it but it wasn’t even on the menu 😂 The replacement drink hadn’t come for another 30 mins after that, so my partner went inside to see all the staff standing around doing nothing. He waited whilst they poured champagne from 3 basically empty bottles. When we asked for a fresh glass the waiter was not impressed with us, but you can see the clear difference in the photo. The staff then brought out the 3 burgers which were meant to come with charcoal buns on milk buns and refused to believe it was wrong. I had to point it out on the menu to the manager to show her what was on their own menu 😂 it really started to turn into a joke by the end of the lunch. The tables around us were filled with mess that wasn’t being cleaned up by the staff, yet there was a staff member wiping down tables 20m away from us where there were no customers. The staff need to learn how to prioritise. The staff never came to collect our plates or drinks after the meal. Photos to show how empty the venue was, the messy tables, and flat champagne given to us 😂 Poor service, average food, would not recommend. I will never come back here.

A surprise to find a classy restaurant with excellent service and the food is perfect . I found it interesting bread and butter was on the menu.I was dubious at first but the bread was amazing and the chef was obliging when I requested some garlic on the side. I ordered the vegetarian option beetroot tart and was impressed with the flavours and the flaky pastry I ordered the beef for mains. The boiler house has the right ambience, including a fire pit outside, and what a special place to enjoy for any occasion.

We loved our dinner experience at this restaurant. We had the set menu for $80 and it's all worth it. The food was amazing from entree to dessert. I would recommend this restaurant to my friends. The staff was friendly as well. Thank you Boiler house for a wonderful time.

We had such a great experience on mother's Day at the restaurant. Location is stunning, secluded, surrounded by nature and the beach in front of you. The staff was friendly, available and really good advise on the wine and cocktails list, thanks to our main waiter that day Arnaud he made the lunch go smoothly always making sure we had everything we needed. Food was delicious, crab linguine is a must try! The atmosphere and experience was above our expectations, highly recommend it!

Despite the low rating we thought we'd go for dinner on Friday night. Staff were friendly, and the fit-out is beautiful, but the set menu was lacking and overpriced for what you get. The lamb was lovely, but beetroot tart we could probably have made as good ourselves, and we suspect the gnocchi was frozen. It's probably a still a great spot for the more relaxed lunch menu, but the dinner didn't really cut it.

Absolutely delicious dinner served by helpful, friendly waiter who went out of his way to ensure my husband and I had a lovely dinner. The only negative from our point of view is that the dining area is upstairs and my husband has mobility difficulties, but the wait staff organised a table that was accessible. Many thanks.

Fair place, staff were great and catered for every need. The bill was also reasonable. Had to wait a little for food, but not too long. Everyone here going on about penguin habitat should maybe visit the place first and then whinge about it. The penguins are there and so are the bandicoots and rabbits, it adds to the experience. Great work guys, keep up it up. 1 star deducted so that they have a stimulus to try harder.

Given this place the benifit of the doubt and they really let us down. The staff are not trained, all of them on their first day everyday. Food is cold, service is slow. Compliments to the chef as even though the food is cold, it's cooked to perfection, just delivered late. You need to work out where your focus is guys and just do something good. Personally I can't ever come back, I've given you another $500.00 that you didn't deserve just to give you the opportunity to deliver fair and square. You will be disappointed unless the management recognise these type of reviews.

The beef short ribs were to-die-for. Absolutely melt in the mouth. Fantastic flavours. Love this place x

Staff were lovely but food was disgusting! Worst meal I have had in a long time! Entree was the best (flat bread) out of everything Waited almost an hour between entree and main meal. Was told there was a big group in BUT we didn't see any "BIG" groups. The chefs were not run off their feet in the kitchen and yes we were watching! Waitress said she had told them numerous times to hurry up with our meals. Had about 10mins max between main and dessert. We did not finish our mains or dessert as they were both disgusting. Cocktails were expensive for what we got and dessert was supposed to be a parfait but got served ice cream pretty much!!!

Forget the stunning location, let's talk about the staff, knowledgeable, friendly and efficient. The food was incredible- three course meal - each unique and interesting and packed with flavour, serving sizes just right! The post meal Salted Caramel Espresso Martini extremely morish! Overall the day was extremely memorable and I can't wait to take friends back for the experience!

The Boilerhouse was sensational. Under the guidance of Executive Chef James Green, the menu is innovative, the flavours delicious and the variety superb. The service and hospitality was excellent. Loved it! Thanks to everyone for such a wonderul, memorable evening.

We had lovely table staff very friendly so made our experience enjoyable. The food was fantastic, no complaints at all.

Staff was Amazing and so helpful and friendly!! The food was even better, my husband and I had to walk back to our room and forgo the shuttle bus because we ate so much!! Cannot wait to return 😀😀😀

Awesome restaurant. Beautifully presented. Food was sensational. Service good. A revamp of the cheese plate maybe but other than that - amazing.

Their reported attitude toward (including requests for loud music, increased patronage and lesser oversight), and ignorance of, disruption to the last remaining little penguin colony in NSW (whose habitat adjoins directly onto the restaurant site) means that I am not of a mind to use this restaurant.

I give this 0 stars!! The prices of food was so expensive and the food is terrible!! The service was bad and I wouldn't eat there again We got told the other restaurant was closed cause they were busy at lunch so closes for dinner.... Wouldn't recommend it at all!

Great food great service. Great place for a romantic night.
