Grilled Dory and hand cut chips makes a perfect gluten free meal that was delicious. Hard to find a fish and chip place that has gluten free chips. This place is the one! My husband had the fried salt and pepper calamari and it was one of the best he has ever had. So tasty and just melted in your mouth. Salads are different but nice. Will be visiting this place more often know that we have found it!
Amazing grilled Barra, and the calamari is sensational! Not to mention dedication to customer service. I can't recommend it enough, and I can't wait to eat here again!
The best seafood I've had in a very long time! The baby octopus, oysters and calamari were unbelievably tender and fresh and I will be back for more ASAP!

Love this place!! I order it in Uber eats all the time and it’s so fresh and delicious every time it arrives!!! I always get the grilled barramundi with salad. The fish is always cooked to perfection with crispy skin and super soft, flaky meat. An absolute must try! Always consistent and reliable. A little more expensive but totally worth the treat!
Had a lovely lunch here on a busy public holiday in Manly. Fish was beautiful and the chips were just as good. There are lots of fish n chip places in the area so lots of options, but I would certainly recommend 🐟 mongers!
Went here on Thursday night for takeaway fish and chips. We ended up getting the family box which included fish, prawns, calamari, oysters, chips and tartare. It was really nice, but it is a bit more expensive than your normal fish n chip place and it seems to have a Japanese influence I feel with the tempura batter but all in all very nice.

Good quality Seafood served to order is the only way to eat it. Staff were great in assisting with the order. The Seafood was cooked perfectly. Only downside would be the higher than normal pricing compared to other seafood shops around
This is my first time to have fish and chip in Manly and this is The best fish and chip I have never had before. Salt and Pepper Calamari is also very great too.
Went to the fishmongers after a snorkelling session at Shelley beach.wanted to have barramundi while in manly and I was told that this is the place to have it.
I ended up having the barramundi with tempura fried vegetables.
The cut of the fish was perfect and it was cooked brilliantly.
The tempura vegetables included carrots, mushrooms and broccoli was also cooked and fried nicely.
Overall a nice place to chill and have a wholesome seafood meal.
We had lunch there after we saw the ranking on zomato. We sat outside, you feel the place is a bit cornered. However the food was good we tried the fish n chips and the prawns and chips. Fair price as well, paid around 50 aud for two including beers.

We had the grilled NZ hoki fillet with salad greens, pesto and corn as well as the tempura battered NZ hoki fillet with hand cut chips and tartare sauce. The grilled fillet was nice, soft and flaky with lovely seasoning. The salad has an obvious Asian influence with plenty of beansprouts and pink pickled ginger sprinkled amongst the greens together with a sweet light dressing. The corn was an interesting visual touch to the dish and there were crunchy sweet potato crisps at the bottom. The pesto was tasty and went well with the grilled fish. As for the tempura battered one, it was crisp on the outside while being soft and flaky on the inside. The chips were quite tasty and not too salty. The tartare sauce is creamy and tangy and goes well with the chips and fish. Sweet potato crisps were a nice touch and seem to be a signature addition to all the dishes here. Cost per dish is around 16-20 AUD so I would recommend it only if you're looking for a slightly more upmarket and stylish fish and chips which is actually good.
Cute little fresh gourmet fish and chip spot in Manly. A healthier twist on a traditional popular eat, but comes a little pricier. A good place to hide from a hot sun, as sits in the shade, but almost too hidden for a romantic dinner.
Wonderful fresh food, excellent meal, priced well with exquisite flavors we will definitely return to try other menu items. The staff was wonderful and helpful

After reading a review from another Coeliac we found this place. Hard to find but its well worth it. Good gluten free options cooked separately, plus kids devoured the great finish and top quality calamari.
Food is delicious, tasteful and well priced. The service was fantastic, and I noticed other diners getting the same treatment.

One of my favourite places for fish and chips in Manly. It certainly doesn't have the same view as the others right at the beachfront but the fish and chips here are delicious and reliable, the hand cut chips are huge and very unique.
Great, diverse, interesting menu. I had the grilled barramundi with tempura vegetables and soy. The barra was cooked perfectly, and with ample char to give it some character. The veggies were great. It felt like I was satisfying both my want to include some of my '5 a day' and my love of fried food. Can't believe I haven't noticed this restaurant before, and will definitely come back again. Happy customer!
Eat and be merry! If you like Fish and chips you will not be disappointed at Fishmongers and your wallet will not be too sad at spilling an extra couple of dollars to eat superior fish and chips.

I'm from California and have had amazing fish 'n' chips in San Francisco and San Diego... This place beats anything I've had. I ate at this place twice within 24 hours... It's f#%&ing BRILLIANT!!! Ryan, the chef, is the man and the others working the counter were very welcoming and friendly. If somehow my review is foggy... You NEED to try this place. They offer a variety of freshly caught fish, but I had the flathead both times... It was that good. They offer delicious local brewed beer from Manly as well.
Chips safe for coeliacs - separate fryer! Made my day! And they can make calamari without soy sauce marinade so you can have that too!
This is without a doubt the best fish and chips I have ever eaten. EVER. Chips are thick and hand cut. Sweet potato thin chips (think crisps). Lightly battered to perfection fish. Ahhhhhhh.

We wanted a modern seafood cafe, off the main drag at Manly, with indoor seating and a reasonable price for a light meal...and this was just right. A good selection of seafood options, heated outdoor seating, in a peaceful "piazza" just off the beach (quite unusual for Manly).It was licensed as well, so a drink and great fish/chips/rice/salad combos were had by all, for a good price.

Was told that Manly is renowned for its fish and chips. So decided to take a ferry ride over from Circular Quay to explore the place for lunch. Stumbled upon this little outlet tucked away in a little corner of the street. Was not disappointed. Had their grilled barramundi with salad, NZ hoki fillet tempura battered, grilled prawns with handcut chips, bbq baby octopus, and a dozen of Sydney rock oysters together with a selection of tempura veggies. Had a wonderful lunch experience - delicious food, especially the grilled barramundi and the bbq baby octopus, friendly service added to the beautiful sunny weather.
Awesome upmarket fish and chip place - delicious fish tacos (lots of flavour, decent size) and potato scallops. Really crispy batter. Chips were so so.
Would suggest getting takeaway, as the seating and location is outdoors / not super vibey.

Excellent fish and chips with handmade sauces and hand-cut chips. The chef obviously puts a lot of love and care into his food! The best spot to eat in Manly in a nice quiet corner of town.
Tucked away in a courtyard the outside area is quiet and has NO seagulls (unlike every place on the seafront).
Fish is reasonably priced, very nicely cooked and presented. Chips are great - hand cut big wedges. Serves are large.
This place came up first on yelp for Manly and I was not disappointed to say the least! The staff was amazing and super encouraging to help me pick the correct thing to order, as I am not from the area. The fish tacos were delicious and they were perfectly dressed. I will definitely eat here again if I'm in the area. So tasty! Don't forget a sauce to dip your chips in!
