Review Loco Madre - Manly

James Arvanitakis
This review is for breakfast.. have not had dinner here! I am always sceptical of cafes in prime tourist locations like manly beach or Bondi beach, but Loco Madre was awesome. While you can go for your stock breakfast choice, it is the Mexican twist that makes this place so awesome! Loved the breakfast taco with scrambled eggs, black beans and the Rancheros! Coffee was good (not quite great) and the staff simply awesome... friendly, chilled, relaxed! Worth a visit... looking forward to trying dinner!!!!

Enjoyed this place very much. Food was delicious (mains took a little while on a quiet day) service was great and the drinks and daily specials are fantastic. And it's dog friendly too

Great location!! love the food and atmosphere. It was so hard to decide on what to eat because everything looked amazing on the menu. We enjoyed some share plates of tacos to start and loved the chicken for the main. The cocktails were delicious too! I can't wait to go back.

Delicious Tacos Great choice from 7 different ones. Well portioned and very tasty We had 6 each but I think 4 is enough for a normal person. We are big eaters! Home made salsa sauces were outstanding! Very nice and attentive service Will be back!

Good service, tasty food, but the orange juice tasted like it was out of a carton and the Huevos Rancheros was a tiny portion for $16. Not good value compared to other cafes in the area. Still, it was pretty tasty, just could have been twice the size, or half the price.

Food was average at best, over priced. Ceviche was not authentic and the tostadas were not toasted. Tasted like taco shells from the packet.serviece was poor, not genuine , feels like they are working there only for a paycheck, could even be packpackers.. I will not be back, shame as the margarita was nice.

Bloody oath what a wonderful place! A friend described the chicken taco as “a brilliant pop song”, fantastic from the first mouthful. The saltado beef taco however, “a true classic”, more depth and got better with every bite. The jugarita is your ticket to a brilliant evening. Great tunes and lovely staff too, a must-visit and will be back!
