Review Bare Naked Bowls - Manly

Eris Angeles
I love a good acai bowls and always keen to try them when I see them on a menu. There were plenty of options to choose from and asked for their recommendation and was suggested the Rio Bowl if I'm a fan of peanut butter, and a big fan I am! I wish there was more peanut butter though it was a nice blend of flavours and textures. I would definitely have it again and recommend to others!

Andreas and Danni always provide exceptional customer service with such genuine warmth and welcomes. The bowls are incredibly delicious as well, with my favourites that I’ve tried being the glow bowl and the bliss bowl. The coffee is excellent quality to add as well. One of my favourite spots for a wonderful breakfast. I highly recommend!! Thanks team!

If you don’t want something too sweet, just try Island bowl açaí which is sour and sweet . Thats my favorite choice in there😍😍 the services are also really great. Highly recommended.

I love this haven of fabulous people and wonderful nourishment. It starts with Daniella and Andreas and the light vibe of warmth they create and extends to the whole team. Great commitment to yummy healthy food too! Always look forward to my visits and relish afterwards.

I could come here every day, honestly, their açai bowls are just to die for. No clue how they make the peanut butter but it defs tastes even better than regular peanut butter and the granola is awesome as well. Oh and they offer vegan croissants! 🔥 Service is always quick and friendly too and they’re open relatively long compared to other cafes in manly, which is great. Btw: they do offer non disposable bowls as well, so ask to dine in if you want to protect the environment :) (because also “eco-plastic” does produce co2)

Between the sensational island açai bowl and the incredibly friendly staff, eating here every day has been the highlight of our holiday. Every mouthful was like a foodgasm 💯% worth visiting for a healthy vegan treat

This place has the best bowl I have ever had. They have a variety of fruit bases and toppings to choose from. My wife has some dietary restrictions and they even offered to leave some ingredients out and put some of her toppings on my bowl instead. Service was great. As we ate and looked around at others food and drinks we were sad we didn't have more days to try more of the menu.

It’s cute, iconic, and of course instagramable. I wouldn’t say it was the best bowl I’ve ever had - but it was definitely good. It is pricey, but hello this is Sydney. My husband and I split a bowl as an afternoon snack. We went once, took the pictures, enjoy the great ambiance of the space. But I might give another place a try if I’m in the area again

I had the Manly Açai bowl and it tasted like a strawberry sorbet. No taste of açai whatsoever, it was all left to my imagination. It should be called strawberry bowl instead! To top it off, the lady serving was dry and unfriendly. Such a shame...

Probably one of the best acai bowls I've had. In the future, please be careful with your honey! I'm vegan and asked twice for my bowl to not have any honey blended or on top and I definitely tasted it in my bowl. No big deal as these mistakes happen, but just something to think about :)

Used to be our go to place for an Acai bowl, however they are now unable to make one without banana in it. Everything else was good however we will no longer be visiting

It's new but is quickly getting known as Manly's number one healthy eating cafe - the staff are super friendly and the breakfast bowls are just the best. Definitely worth a visit whether you are just in Manly for the day or a local.

Waited 20 minutes for a bowl in an almost empty cafe. If that is how long you take to make a bowl, I would hate to think how you make money and get returning customers! And service was unfriendly and unapologetic.

Worth 5 stars if you find them open. If it's 15h30 on a Saturday during the Manly Jazz festival, you're fresh outa luck. You guys suck giant hairy bowls.

I am usually a fan of this place, but not after this morning. After waiting nearly 45 minutes, I was told that my order hadn't even been put through. I was told that my order would be rushed through, but waited a further 10 minutes. When it finally arrived, I didn't receive a 'sorry' or refund or anything. The person serving was not polite at all and I shall not be returning here again.

Service not at all friendly and the coffee was below substandard- we were after an afternoon caffeine hit and what we got instead resembled more a vaguely coffee flavoured milk beverage. Sorry to say would not return.

Love the bowls would of given 5 stars but i cant stand the plastic bowls and plastic spoons u get given for the take away. Surely you can provide a more environmentally friendly container.

Awesome food great service will be back today. #addictedtoacai

My first Acai bowl.. it was sooo good, worst thing is that I will compare them all to my first now. 10/10
Melissa Neilsen-Gerber
Nice bowl, but we waited well over 40 minutes and the people getting take alway were getting served way before us. Disappointing service...
Anna
Quite pricey for the size but it tastes nice with a variety of toppings. Lovely outside seating area to bring your dog or just enjoy the sun. The shop is on a strip of a variety of eateries so could even come for acai dessert!
Croissant Addict
I had expected the serving to be bigger but still, a decent bowl of acai with fresh ingredients. Great to have when sitting by the beach!

This place is perfect when you’re craving something sweet but want to stick to a healthy diet. My go-to is the rio bowl - has everything I love: granola, berries and (a heaping amount of) peanut butter drizzle.

For all the acai bowl lover out there, this place is a must! Not only they are beautiful but also absolutely delicious. The spot is cute with a few outdoor wooden tables. Perfect break for a day at the beach in Manly!

I’ve wanted to try Bare Naked Bowls for so long! They definitely didn’t let me down. So quick, easy, cheap and filling! Anything off their menu would be so good for brekky/lunch after hitting the beach, which is only a minute walk away. So great to see a place like this that serves such healthy, delicious meals so packed with customers. Also not to mention my coffee was amazing. I’ll definitely be a repeat customer whenever I am in Manly!
TigerTreeEats
They drizzle honey on top of fruits, which is so unnecessary. Smoothie was nice, had the blue ocean one, slight bitter taste. No toilet. At $16, was a bit overpriced but popular with locals, it seems.

One of my favourite places to go to in Manly!! (I am also obsessed with Acai Bowls at the moment!)

The reason I come here is for the variety of choice on their menu - it means that I am accommodated for no matter my mood. You'll also find all the healthy superfoods you can name, like Goji Berries, Bee Pollen and Activated Buckinis.

I love that Bare Naked Bowls don't just use fruit juice in their acai blend, they also add coconut and/or almond milks depending on what you choose.

My advice on a busy day would be to order your Acai bowl take-away and to find a nice little spot by the beach or wharf. Tables are harder to come by on weekends, and often I'm there like a vulture snapping one up as soon as someone leaves!

Check out my full review of Bare Naked Bowls on my Blog site:
neateatsydney.wordpress.com/2017/10/10/acai-obsessed-bare-naked-bowls/

Absolutely delicious, beautiful bowls and toppings and fast service. I ordered the hippie bowl which had hemp protein and peanut butter and granola on top - the granola was superb. Will be back!

Bare naked bowls was just as amazing as I expected! The aćai bowls were fresh, healthy and delicious, plus there were so many options that catered for everyone's needs! The wait is long due their high demand and popularity, however it will always be worth the wait!

The menu is quite overwhelming with many different choices. I really like fruits and a sweet breakfast, so this place was perfect for me. Tried the Chia bowl. The ingredients were fresh and healthy, definitely fills you up and prep you for the day. Perfect for summer. Will come back and try the smoothie bowls and the acai bowls.
ThePiggyDiggy
I have tried several Bowls from their Acai range. My most favorite would be the Beach Bowl, which is perfect for those who like sour stuffs as it contains pineapple. It is perfect as a healthier alternative for your meal and they are pretty generous in the servings too.

Another thing though, sometimes the queue can be quite long during rush hours and I feel like their staffs are a bit slow. So what I normally do is order it online and pick it up during my lunch break.

Came to this lovely cafe for lunch on a hot summers day! Now I know why they call this place Bare Naked Bowls - most people have just stepped off the sand and aren't wearing too much! Ha! Also the food here is stripped back and is glowing with goodness. Came for the acai! A Manly bowl for me and a Naked bowl for my daughter! So delicious and energising; want to try the whole menu of course! Good quality produce too!

2nd visit: Manly Bowl & Bliss Bowl! Consistently awesome! 😍

3rd visit: Power bowl! 😍

Legitimately obsessed with this place! I'm Acai bowl crazy in summer and constantly on the lookout for the best offering.
Bare naked have such a large range and I love that they're completely transparent about their ingredients. Lots of places pack the bowls full of sugar laden juices and make them sickly sweet.
At Bare Naked you choose your base so can enjoy milk or coconut water. My fav is the Hippie Bowl with Macadamia milk, fruits, granola and peanut butter.
Great after doing the Manly to Spit!
Only downside top this place is the extreme leak odd staying. It's always so busy too!!

Delicious and healthy food, friendly service and great location. They have a wide variety of brekkie bowls, and all look amazing. It makes you want to try them all! This will be my favourite breakfast spot in Manly.

I have never been disappointed with this place. No where else have I found such variety in acai bowls, and they are all delicious. If you go in knowing that the bowls do take a while to make, then you are all good. Good news is that they have just released an app which allows you to order and pay in advance. All you have to do when you get there is let them know you ordered online and you can skip the queue and pick up your order! They're still working out the kinks of the online ordering system, but should be pretty smooth sailing.
They're usually open even on public holidays, which is a big bonus, and if you're heading to the beach, get take away and chill on the sand with your acai bowl!

Bare Naked Bowls is located just behind the parking station at manly and is super easy to find. When I went there is was a cold and slightly rainy day but still very busy and they were all out of manly oats even though it was still quite early in the day, so I ordered a chickpea salad with lime and tahini dressing with a almond milk coffee. The salad and dressing was delicious and I'll definetly try another salad next time. I was a little disappointed with the coffee though as it took a long time to arrive and despite the almond milk was extremely bitter so I won't be getting any coffee here again, which is okay because they have kombucha on tap with three diffrent flavours ( lime and ginger, berry and passionfruit with pear when I was there) which are 5 dollars or 6 if you want to keep the jar it came in. I will come probably back another day to try the manly oats and acai bowl, all of which looked delicious and are very popular using plenty of fresh ingredients.

A looooooooooong wait, but worth waiting for. Exceptional food, delicious, very healthy, and top quality, but before ordering ask how long will be the wait.

Need acai? Come here. I am a local Manly Nutritionist and I am constantly 'bowled' over by their attention to detail and abundant superfoods they pack into one bowl. Delicious every time.

The bowls are absolutely outstanding but they are sooooo slow!! I have been waiting 15 minutes, missed a ferry and there are three people in here working and two waiting (me being one!). At least let customers know they are in for a 17 minute wait when no one is there!

This place is hands down the best cafe to get an acai bowl in Sydney! I have tried acai bowls all over the country and Bare Naked Bowls does something magical with there bowls! My favorite is the Power Bowl with added protein powder and goji berries OR the Bliss Bowl. They also have Kombucha on tap and their smoothies are insanely good too. I always go for the Almond Pear smoothie if I am feeling something with a cinnomon & ginger kick or the Green Hemp is so refreshing. Not only are they master bowl artist but the owners donate 10% of profits to a charity, how good does this place get.

This little place has so much potential, I have yet to be let down from it and doubt I ever will be. I've come here regularly and almost always order the 'naked bowl', which tastes absolutely delicious. It beats all the other acai bowls I've tried by far. I used to love Girdler's, but when I went there the other day after trying this one, it was terrible in comparison to BareNaked Bowls! I was so amazed with how lovely it was, I didn't expect so much flavour honestly; it was such a pleasant surprise. My absolute go-to for smoothie bowls now, and although it is more on the pricy end of the scale, I think it's definitely worth it. I mean, I'm more than willing to pay $14.5 if I know I'm getting quality food - healthy, yet yummy! Always nice to grab one and then eat it on the beach with a gorgeous view. The wait is about 10 minutes which is decent, as making it presentable and blending it is quite time consuming for the most part. Highly recommend this place for those who stopover in Manly, you won't be disappointed!

Jumped on the superfoods bandwagon a tad late, but the acai bowls at Bare Naked Bowls, Manly were the yummiest guilt-free food ever! I’ve had my fair share of acai bowls around Sydney, and I can safely say this one’s hands down one of the best. We had the Bliss Bowl ($14.50) and the Manly Bowl ($14.50). I loved the Bliss bowl, it was fruity, refreshing and sweet. Unfortunately, they ran out of activated buckinis that morning but we were able to replace them with granola. Half expecting the blend to be similar, I was surprised to find the Manly bowl tasted distinctly different. It was less sweet and had a stronger flavor of the berries.

amazing food / atmosphere and location!

very generous with sizes, will be going back again

such variety with lots of super food add ons!
