10/10 for everything. It gets better each time I visit the restaurant! The service is always amazing, and the food even better. Me and a friend had the seafood platter for two this time and really really enjoyed it! Would definitely recommend to anyone! My favourite restaurant in Manly by far!
I dined here with 2 friends recently and have to congratulate the staff on their customer service. Our waiter was filling wine glasses for our table and a nearby table. A customer from the other table got up and took our bottle of wine and refilled the glasses of her and her partner, finishing our wine off. Although we only had less than half a bottle left, the wait staff promptly gave us a brand new bottle.
The food was gorgeous, decor lovely and a nice view!
Food was delicious, my sister and I both had the risotto which was perfect. We had a selection of desserts also incredible. The staff were very friendly and attentive, even put sparklers on one of the cakes as it was my birthday. Will definitely be going back.
Had lunch special Barramundi n chips inc glass of wine (or soft drink)
Food was scrumptious and staff very friendly n welcoming
Great views of Manly
I went to Whitewater for my birthday dinner and everything was fabulous from my meal to the service to the music and ambience. I couldn't have been happier and highly recommend it!
Could not recommend Whitewater Manly enough! Amazing food and friendly staff! Wonderful experience.
The food was very tasty and the service was very fast. We enjoyed our lunch with the amazing view of manly beach. We will definitely be back very soon!
The food was amazing, they have a welcoming and relaxing environment. There water view is to die for. Love their hospitality. Definitely recommend for a family dinner!
Whitewater Restaurant is a contemporary restaurant serving modern Australian food. The restaurant has great ambience and was within proximity of Manly beach. The food was great and so was the service.
Whitewater is a restaurant by Manly Beach, offering stunning views of the water and the perfect place to have a meal during the warmer months. We came here to celebrate the beginning of spring one night, keen to try out their new spring menu and have a nice night out. We were served a range of canapes.
Amazing Fish n Chips, the beat part is the chips is so tasty and yum, can’t explain...i dont know why, the taste of the chips here is totally different from other australian restaurants and cafè...its superb...ans the dip complements everything...on the other hand, garlic bread was too good.
Ok now coming to the efficient part of the restaurant- you will get a drink free if you order anything from the lunch menu, it could be a fish n chips, and other dishes...u can get a corona, or coke and so on...
And finish your food craving with a flat white extra hot regular size coffee, it’s superb.
Thanks a lot guys, keep it up.
Nice food in a great location. Came here couple of years ago and had an amazing dinner, hot pot of seafood... came here yesterday (for lunch menu) and had a cold seafood plate for two which is pretty small for two but the food is nice & fresh. Marinara was also good and was chips on side
Tasty fresh and loads of seafood. The cold seafood plate is a little heavy on the salmon - more octopus required, but it's reasonably priced and a good location
Conveniently located on the Manly beachfront, Whitewater is the perfect place to dine for breakfast, lunch or dinner. They have a diverse menu which caters for all different crowds and occasions. The restaurant can seat up to 140 guests and can host a cocktail event for up to 160 guests.
Indoor and outdoor seating options are available. On a sunny day, the outdoor seating is the most ideal for soaking up the sun and appreciating the beautiful view of Manly Beach.
To drink, we had the Whitewater Martini - kaffir lime and lemongrass, infused vodka, apple liqueur shaken with apple juice and lime juice. Pleasant flavour and great combination of flavours.
The other half needed some caffeine so he had a strong cup of coffee. The coffee art was surprisingly impressive.
We visited the restaurant for lunch and started with the Roasted Chinese duck with housemade pancakes, shallots, cucumber and plum hoisin sauce. The serving size was perfect, wasn’t too big or too small. For a restaurant that doesn’t specialize in Chinese cuisine, the flavours were on par. The only drawback for us was that there were 5 pieces of duck but only 4 pancakes.
For the mains we had the Homemade tiger prawn spaghetti, cherry tomatoes, parsley and garlic pesto, spinach, and chilli in a Napolitana sauce. There was a generous amount of prawns and the pasta was nicely cooked. The flavours worked well together.
The second main we had was the chargrilled swordfish fillet with tartar sauce and lime. It’s normally served with steakhouse chips but we opted for rocket salad to get some greens in. It was well seasoned and the tartar sauce nicely complimented the fish. The meal was well presented, on a chopping board which gave a rustic and homey feel.
The rocket salad worked very well with the fish. It had parmesan, pinenuts, and aged balsamic dressing. The fish was a little overcooked for our preference but apart from that, it was delicious.
No meal is complete without dessert. With the wide selection of options on the dessert menu at Whitewater, it’s an even better excuse. We were excited to try the Lemon Meringue which was a short crust pastry filled with a zesty lemon curd topped with burnt Italian Meringue. The pastry was light and crispy and the meringue was not too sweet. All the flavours worked very well together.
We also tried the Affogato which was a sweet and simple way to finish off our meals.
Delicious food in a gorgeous restaurant with a wonderful interior. I love the decor and the vibe is very relaxed. The customer service is super friendly. The menu is modern Australian with a fusion style to it. I highly recommend the gnocchi marinara and the oysters kilpatrick!
After a long, choppy ferry ride and a visibly green girlfriend, we arrived at the Manly wharf and headed over to Whitewater for dinner. Whitewater is a chic restaurant on the waterfront of Manly beach serving Modern Australian cuisine with an Asian twist
Whitewater is a modern Australian Restaurant located on the Manly Beach front with great water views. While it provides a relaxed ambiance where friends, family and colleagues can dine together in a casual beachy style atmosphere, the restaurant does also offer private room facilities and is available to host functions such as weddings and corporate events.
Went for a nice mid-week dine out with my partner and had a good time here.
I liked that there was a bit of variety in the entrees, mains and desserts - something for every one!
Food was good; service was a bit slow considering the place was near-empty. We had a very rich chocolate hazelnut mousse with AMAZING caramel hazelnut ice cream (pictured).
The decor was quite pleasing actually and the place also outdoor seating with heaters for those willing to brave the cold sea breeze!
On a warm night, we caught the famous Manly ferry and travelled to Whitewater Restaurant, a contemporary Australian, beachside restaurant with a stunning view and incredible menu to match! We started off with two of their signature cocktails – the Chanel No 6, which was sweet and bubbly, and the Whitewater Martini, a zesty lime-based cocktail that was so refreshing!
Visiting Manly a storm hit so I hit the Whitewater for lunch. It was amazing. Great view, wonderful menu. Sparkling water, then Martinis and oysters. The seafood for the entree was excellent. Wine perfect. Cheese and port then coffee and desert.... Marvelous. It was difficult to leave. Thanks so much! #fromohio
Sweet summer corn, chilli, lime and truffle parmesan...The corn was surprisingly very chilli! It was charred well with the smokey flavours seeping into each individual kernel of corn. It wasn’t as juicy as Gourmet Gumbo would have liked, but the seasoning of lime helped give it some moisture.

Whitewater is a beautiful restaurant in such a lovely location looking out across to Manly beach. As you'd expect from its location it has a wide range of seafood options, but there's also plenty of other choices here as well. Whitewater is cosy, comfortable and yet quite a chic venue. There's a strong use of natural timber and stone giving the whole place a rustic boathouse feel.
Good location, good menu and wine list. Staff are mostly back packers but pleasant enough. I had half lobster for starter: over priced and not good value. Angus steak for main; asked for medium rare and got well done!
Great late brekkie. When everywhere else had moved on to lunch, found this place for a late (11.30) brekkie on a sat.
Great service, great kids menu with things to keep them entertained
Food was good & location great
Came here for brunch in the weekend. It wasn't completely packed. Nice view of the waterfront and comfy booth seats. I ordered the baked eggs with smoked salmon. I was expected the eggs to come out in a ramekin of some sort but it looked more like 2 fried eggs so nothing to rave about. The smoked salmon was a very strong and salty and I love smoked salmon so I left a lot of this on my plate. My friend had the omelette which looked amazing and she said it tasted great. Definitely food envy there.
Always good. Lovely location with sea views, and the restaurant itself has a good atmosphere. Great food and service! Desserts are to die for!
The food is decent service is not great. If they made it better they could kill it here.
Best place to dine in whole Manly, great food and service, highly recommended
Great experience for the first time visit, good food, excellent service for a very reasonable price, the water view was amazing while dining outdoor. In one word amazing
We'll be back. Thankfully the incredible food more than makes up for the very average service.
Location & Ambiance. Its Christmas time down here in Australia, and how better can you spend an afternoon lunching on one of the finest waterfronts....(Self funded I will add :-) )
I enjoyed the delicately crafted Lasagne, and its weird for me to mention the ultimate delight in the truffle butter that came with the bread rolls. Did I mention the winelist...Mwah!
Service with a smile and @ an affordable (premium) lunch dining experience.
Well worth stopping by if your in the area.
Liked it, didn't love it. Went here a few weeks after going to bluewater cafe because bluewater was full and we didn't want to wait to eat - there was a reason bluewater was packed and whitewater wasn't. They're only 3 doors up from eachother and while the service at whitewater is better, the food leaves you unfulfilled. It's not bad food, just not great. The toast was burnt, the omlette like something you make at home and the orange juice wasn't fresh.
7/10 A great dining experience. A classy establishment, but with a laid back beach feel about it. The food was fabulous but the service was below what I expected. An example of this is presenting entrees that were not ordered, so nothing serious. The Duck Pancakes were fabulous. Ask to sit on the lower level, the upper level is very noisy once the restaurant is full. Definitely recommended
Wonderful food, attentive but laid back and friendly staff in an atmosphere which is buzzing without being too busy. Open kitchen is a great touch and the ability to buy items like individual oysters means you can try so much of the menu in an evening. Highly recommended!
Recommend to include it in any visit to Sydney. Excellent setting with wonderful food. Good idea to book.
An excellent selection of things to have for brunch, and definitely top-notch and quality and presentation that’s for sure. My only gripe would be that some of the staff on this particular Saturday were probably not as engaging as they could’ve been, although that did not spoil the experience. It was a lazy Saturday so the lacklustre energy could’ve been due to that, however they were friendly and polite. Still recommend trying this place out, one of the better places to have brunch in Manly!
I got the Portuguese chicken burger and it was hands down thee best chicken burger I’ve ever had!!
My Dad got the pancakes and he said they were excellent.
My wife got the cheese burger but said it tasted more like meatloaf than a burger. She wasn’t as impressed with her meal as we were.
The service was great and the view/location was also pretty good.
We went on a cold and miserable night, so the usual footpath dining with beach views was not available. That said we sat in a comfortable, quite inside and were looked after by attentive staff. The cocktails were great with the usual and some interesting new options.
For dinner we had a few prawn options, and my son got the ribs and burger combo. All were of high quality and very tasty. Followed by a good selection of desserts, yummy, and espresso martini’s. not the cheapest spot in Manly, but great for a really top meal.
This place was just perfect. Nice food with a amazing view of Manly beach. We mainly ordered seafood dishes and were very happy with them. Although keep in mind that portions can be hugh. Cocktails were really great as well as the service. I do highly recommend to try this restaurant out.
A cozy restaurant with relaxed seating overlooking the beach and the ocean. They have both outside comfortable seating and indoor more personal seating arrangement for people. I tried their signature fish and chips that comes with a healthy portion of greens and any drinks of your choice. The food was delicious and you can eat it enjoying the Ambience, the surrounding areas, beach going people and surfers. Overall experience is great and recommended strongly
