Review Roma & Co - Manly

Ronja Simmons
The coffee was decent, but the food was nasty and for a whopping $15. The waiter told us the dishes where premade and I found some mould in our dish. Needless to say it didn't taste too good. The food looked good tho?

An iconic location where my camera club meet for coffee before we wander with our cameras. My cappuccino was enjoyable with the chocolate flakes on top, however the chocolate overwhelmed the coffee. It tasted more like a hot chocolate than a cappuccino. 3 stars.

Always nice to drop by and have a good strong coffee here. They have great lunch options and also tons of pastries to choose from. Located in a busy part of Manly with a good view.

The best cafe in manly. This place is a must go if you are in Manly, NSW. The place is so cozy and the dishes they serve is tasty and yum plus how can i not mention about the coffee.

LATE REVIEW...this was the PERFECT spot for espresso and the best pasta and pizza. Can walk from the beach and enjoy an affordable lunch that tastes 5 star! Definitely add this to your list if you are by Manly Beach. We came here a couple times in March 2017. Find time to eat here!

Hands down the best coffee, I started with a bowl of chicken soup which tasted like my nan uses to make. Then finished off with a cappuccino and the chocolate they use is delicious. I've never had a cappcunio like it. They seemed really busy when I was there. Staff were very friendly

I love this place! Our friend recommended it and it was everything I expected. The staff were friendly and welcoming, the pizza is the best I’ve ever had!! We drove from the inner west (where there’s heaps of pizza), and it was worth it. Our kids loved it too. My hubby has the carbonara and thought it was awesome. We’ll be back!!

Very disappointed. Been here many times. This time the barista was more interested in talking to a bloke sitting at the counter. We waited for ten minutes then the coffee was delivered to us luke warm, it was obviously sitting on the counter. The wait staff are very nice and wouldn’t be aware how long it had been sitting. Lacks supervision.

Fairly generic cafe on the Corso that’s got your typical brekkie options. Italian influence, the staff we’re talking to each other in Italian, a little hard to get their attention. Coffee was served quickly and was fairly nice.

Bought the Capriossca pizza and Proscuitto Panini for dinner. The panini was delicious, the saltiness between the proscuitto and the cheese wasn’t too overpowering and were well balanced. The pizza was tasty, the only problem was that the base was very thick so it did eventually get quite soggy and although the pieces were pre-cut, it was hard to tear apart each piece. The staff were nice though, the place was very busy at the time so the wait for the pizza was a bit long (30 - 45mins). The costs were reasonable when considering the proportion ($35.75 for both the panini and pizza).

Since coming under new management, this Italian inspired eatery has gone from strength to strength. Tasting their new Pizza blew me away - best ever, and I mean ever! Great cocktails too, and some really nice Italian beer I'd never had before. Location right on the Corso is made for people watchers like me :) If you havent been in a while, check it out, you wont be disappointed.

Left a pair of shoes at the restaurant after dinner, called multiple times half an hour later, and they didn't pick up.
Called again several times in the morning, and no answer again.
Then I went to the restaurant, and found out that they had seen the shoes and taken them inside, and then put them back out on the counter, which someone had taken.
Not sure what kind of management finds lost property, and leaves it outside 😂

Waitress spilt the coffee and didn’t offer to clean it up. When the food came out the two slices of toast were cold. After the meal was returned, a single piece was provided only luke warm.
For public holiday rates, not an enjoyable experience.
Will not be back.

What a disappointment, we took a visitor from the UK to Manly for the iconic Ferry, beach, sun surf and lunch experience. The food looked good as we approached and sat to look at menu's, the food on the menu looked and read like the perfect experience. Thats where it ended, the middle aged matrade was rude and she was obviously annoyed with the other staff for some reason and was taking it out on customers in her manner. Now the food well priced for location but again thats were the experience ended, check the photo of the salad that came with every meal ? Only lettuce that was bitter, no vegetables no dressing, chips were Mcsomthing fries and the fish was very small akin to a child portion, our friend has S&P squid 7 small rubbery pieces in total with fries not chips !
My partner had a chicken snzit that i could buy frozen 4 for $8 at woolies. All in all poor food. Poor service. Nice location - i will never go there again !

When one orders a skim cap with one, one does not expect to be served sewage in a cup. Genuinely the worst cafe by far, the place should be burnt down (with the baristas inside).

Rude barista. Bad costumer treatment.
They simply sent me the wrong drinks and simple din not replace them. So as we are finishing our meals without any drink I went to ask about our capuccinos for the barista. He and he assistent were extremely rudes. Inconclusion I ask my money back.

30 minutes wait for a takeaway breakfast wrap and coffee after 9.30am when things weren't THAT busy. Coffee came in a few minutes which was fine. Had to ask three times for the wrap as I had missed my ferry after leaving plenty of time. Very annoyed, especially when I opened it to find they had made the wrong wrap - the veggie special - which wasn't that great. Need to work on their service. Won't be returning!

I went here every day for about a month, on my way to work in the mornings. Good coffee, great pastries, pleasant staff, prompt service. The upstairs interior is fine, the outdoor area is well placed (plus a lot of people bring their dogs here). For what they offer, Roma & Co. are good.

Conveniently located at Manly, this is a small cafe with good caffeine fix at the go. The place is awesomely located. The coffee and the hot chocolate was good. Desserts and the food looked yumm but was not hungry to try them. Next time!!! A decent place to get rid of the caffeine cravings.

In need for a caffeine fix, this was conveniently located near Manly Wharf on The Corso. They had a brisk trade in business as there was a constant queue so decided to try it out as a busy takeaway coffee line is usually a good sign. The service was quick and friendly. I had a Belgian Mocha ($5) which isn't cheap for a cup of coffee however the taste of it was delicious so made up for the higher than usual price. I put that down to Belgian chocolate being used.

Used to be Bachino's if I remember correctly. Coffee still good and using real chocolate on the cappuccino Bachino style is a plus.
Service is ok. Had a Salami Panini and was not bad

Ok, but that's it. The food is average and not to special. Service ok. Location in the middle of the hustle and bustle of manly.
Musli was not good, omlett so Lala.

I have never seen such a bad service in Sydney; food was normal but the wait staff look very lost and missing our order, even after reminder he didn't even check what was missing nor bother to apology. something to avoid in Manly

Order the egg and bacon roll of the menu and the young lass tells me the cook is not in. Then the barista says no he is in. She goes and talks to the cook returning to tell me only what is on the menu is available. I say it is on the menu. Yes but the cook cant make it yet. So rather than ruin the start to my day I order the premade salmon roll and latte. Go sit outside, roll and coffee arrive. Look over at another table and the guy is served an omelette. Anyway the coffee was good.
