pretty hard to find the entrance, its up a set of stairs and there aren't many signs showing you the entrance, had air-con and but i think it turned off half way through our meal which made it really hot very quickly. food was average

Great tasting authentic Italian food at a very reasonable price and generous servings. The staff are friendly and attentive. The decore is comfortable and the atmosphere is relaxing. Definitely recommend this restaurant.

Food was amazing, super rich and delicious sauces. Atmosphere is nice with candles on the tables but was let down by the giant paper sheets used above the table cloth.

Visited here for the first time last Saturday evening. The atmosphere is great - very authentic family restaurant feel! We didn't have to wait for a seat, even though we didn't book. The air conditioning did not seem to be working very well as it was quite hot inside, however it had been quite a hot day, so that can be forgiven. The service itself was below average. The waitresses never looked around the room, so we had to call out to get their attention every time we needed them. The mains took well over an hour to come out, which was quite frustrating as we were very hungry. The food itself was pretty good, perhaps a little bland, but reasonable for the price, and very decent serving sizes. The Oysters were fantastic (but could have been a little bigger). The cheesy garlic bread was the highlight! When it came time for the bill, we had to again call over the waitress and ask for the bill. After 10 minutes she still hadn't brought it, so we had to go up to the counter and sort it out ourselves. There's room for improvement, but overall a reasonable experience.

I love the hidden gem of this place. The Italian food is super authentic and the service was great. The oysters were quite small, although delicious. I shared with my partner the pasta and that was more than enough for us! Would highly recommend as it’s not super touristy and quite cute 😁

Beautiful old fashion GENUINE Italian family restaurant! Their service is personal, food is incredible and atmosphere is cosy. It's far from the trendiest place in town, but it is great food and very reasonable prices with genuine family service. Its the kind of place that once you've been there a few times, there's a good chance you'll end up sharing a glass of vino with the owner. (Joe)

We have come for the last few years and always delicious but this time a bit disappointing. Always have veal and mango as so good. But not enough mango this time . Garlic prawn entree still delicious. Waiting to get served took a long time snd a long time to get our meals But did see a sign on the door where they needed staff. All in all love this restaurant and hope you take heed of my comments.

Love this place so much that we are regular visitors at least once a month for the past few years. They do the BEST chicken schnitzel EVER! I’m a schnitzel snob but this is hands done awesome every time! They also do awesome garlic bread and I love their fettuccine alla Sophia! Dina is awesome and always makes us feel welcome 👍👍

Easy and good old fashion Italian restaurant. The pastas are yummy, huge servings. It's an easy place to eat with family and friends. Nice staff

This was the most disgusting meal I have ever had! Yuck! I ordered the spag bowl and the mince was soft and had obviously been reheated. My friend ordered the carbonara and the egg had split! They didn't even care to check. We ordered a glass of wine each, you could tell my bottle had been opened for some time before they poured it because it tasted off and the cheesy garlic bread had bits of raw garlic through it it was so off putting!! I have been feeling sick the last few days and am convinced it was from that. I had 4 strands of pasta before I pushed it away with disgust. Never again! I should send the department of health onto them.

Very good restaurant. Great service. Great food portions - portion sizes can easily feed 2 people. Quality of food was very good - fresh and authentic. Highly recommended.

I dined here on a Monday night with 4 other friends. I was recommended the Vienna schnitzel and I was not disappointed. Huge serving with potato, carrot and zucchini. Friendly and attentive service. If only they sold Italian wine by the glass and not just by bottle. Love this place.

Lasagne was so unidentifiable it was funny. They obviously pride themselves on portion sizes rather than food quality. We ordered the lasagne and what arrived can only be described as a large plate of slop. When the plate was put down I actually laughed out loud it looked so ridiculous! Taste wasnt much better - I've had better school dinners. I wonder if there were better dishes on the menu but if the spelling is anything to go by, I doubt it!!

Disappointed. Menu completely uninspired and boring. Not what real italian food is like. Didn't overly like the atmosphere of the restaurant either. <br/>Would not go back

Best Italian on the Northern Beaches!. Such great tasting food! The garlic bread was to die for! Who ever rates garlic bread? No one ever mentions it because its just bread, butter and garlic but this is some magic garlic bread. Once you've had it nothing wil ever taste the same. The servings are huge so you dont have to get a main unless you're the hulk. Then if you can squeeze it in theres dessert. OMG the Tiramisu. Its heaven on a plate. Manly Italian what an experience!

Best service I've had in years! I came here on holiday with 2 friends. Rosemary sat us down, joked with us and made us feel at home straight away. The meals were amazing also but the staff went above and beyond. Best experience I've had in a long time, couldn't recommend more.

An Old Favourite. Manly Italian is an institution in Manly. It serves hearty, tasty food. Nothing fancy or trendy, which is what I crave for in Italian food. It's a family-run restaurant and the friendly service is second to none. Great for big groups.

Hearty Meal. Food was fantastic, much better quality compared to your average Italian restaurant. Really homely and welcoming interior and lovely staff. service 10/10.

Great restaurant in the heart of Manly!. Great food at very reasonable prices. The service was also excellent - friendly and informal without being pushy. Quiet atmosphere with pleasant background music. All in all a very pleasant experience.

In Sydney for the weekend. Very very disappointed! If you are not a regular don't bother. The food when it came was just so, nothing to rave about 5 out of 10. Service 1 out of 10. <br/><br/>Ordered oysters mornay - no cheese sauce, only dried out floury stodge which was thick and gluggy and burnt on top. 1 out of 10<br/><br/>Was third table to arrive, staff took drink and food order fairly quick but that is as good as it got. After numerous requests of staff for water, drinks etc., had to wait 1.5 hours to get our salad then another half hour to get the meals. Place filled up and obviously with regulars which seemed to get looked after. Other tables which came in much later all received their meals but we could not even get drinks. <br/><br/>Service was appalling, staff would avoid you even after seeing us trying to get their attention. Requested drinks from 3 different waitresses. Our guest, heavily pregnant, had to get up and get her own water. <br/><br/>Just as we all decided to leave and let staff know, only then a senior waitress came over and apologised and saw to it we got a salad that we ordered 1.5 hours later.... If you are not a regular don't bother.

We had dinner here recently and enjoyed our meal though found it a tad pricey. Servings of the pasta were big and tasty. Service was prompt and friendly.
