Review New Brighton Hotel - Manly

Great spot for a few drinks especially on the wraparound balcony with ocean views. But if you’re looking for good quality, fresh, tasty pub food, save your money and go elsewhere. Parmi was close to the worst I’ve had - tough and dry. Chips were totally cold on arrival at the table. Waiting staff lacklustre and indifferent.

Great pub in an awesome location. Food was great. Make sure you try and get up as high as you can - the rooftop bar is awesome.

I celebrated my birthday here recently with friends and had the absolutely best day! We sat out on the balcony enjoying the wonderful ocean views. The cocktails were amazing and so was the food. We especially loved the tacos. The staff were so friendly and even the managers came out to wish me a Happy Birthday. Nothing was too much trouble. Highly recommend you stop by

Went here for lunch the food was awesome double smash burger was delicious tacos and hot wings were awesome too. Great service and good selection of beers on tap. View from the balcony was good too. Good job guy's

False offers to may be get in customers. Bad beer but food was good. Staff are kind of nice but can be more knowledgeable with the promotions offered by the hotel or at least check and get back instead of denying altogether.

We love this pub. Meals are consistently good. Upstairs verandah is a lovely place to eat away from the buzz of the sports bar downstairs. Disappointed our meal was slow today. A table of four served before us, having ordered after us (only two). Kitchen needs to up it's game. We ordered before it got busy.

The "Mexi bowl" salad I ordered is the worst salad I have ever been served in a restaurant. It consists of what tasted like pouch instant brown rice topped with shredded burger lettuce, and some flavourless avocado mixture. The supposed "Pico de Gallo" is plain diced tomatoes. The serving is tiny, not that I would want to eat any more of it. Told the girl who collected our plates about how bad it was but she didn't seem that concerned. Honestly I've had better quality food at the BP Truck Stop and for a lot less than $18.

We sat on the second floor balcony with a view of manly beach and market. I had the chipotle fried chicken burger, it was nice but I had higher expectations from it tastewise! I preferred the pulled pork tacos that my friend’s ordered.

Wonderful pub, exceptional beer! They must have a well trained cellarman, the beer lines were beyond perfect with the beer tasting like the waters from heaven. There is no place like the new Brighton hotel, I strongly suggest going there to taste the cleanest beer in manly!!

18th of Nov i came to Brighton to watch a match and to have dinner, i ordered the Snitz with chips amd salad, after waiting 30mins i was served what looked like a cooked snitz, went to cut into it and found the snitz really raw, my partner then took it back and asked for another snitz and had mentioned that i was pregnant, nice bar man came over and apologised, gave me refund and said il be getting new same dish again. After waiting 1hr for that dish i was again served with raw chicken. I wont be eating here ever but thank you for the refund.

My friends and i decided to go for an early dinner here only to be served by rude staff who were on the roof top bar. We waited over 45 minutes for our food, only to find one of our orders was wrong. We then waited more then 30 mins for the right order to come out but never came. We asked for a refund and no apologies were made.

Me and 4 friends decided to go for dinner and take advantage of the half price meals. While my friends were ordering there food and soft drinks I was asked for ID before I had a chance to order, I explained I was only ordering food but she insisted on it for being on the premises.. Baring in mind I'm 27. I found she was just being awkward and we instantly felt unwelcome. The meals were a huge disappointment for all of us and were not good value even for $12.. I'll not be going back.

I don't know why we've never gone up to the roof top bar before! An excellent lunch and a few beers in the glorios Manly sunshine with my hubby and one of our sons. We enjoyed every delicious mouthful and the staff are so courteous and smiley. We'll definitely be heading back for more of that �

Very expensive alcohol, could have nearly brought a 6 pack of Jim Beam for the price they charged me for 1! ($17.99 for 6 pack from bottle shop across the road, they charged me $13.50 for a can here!) won't be going back anytime in the next century, staff weren't even helpful at all

Was there Saturday, service was great, had meals on the roof top bar. Apart from salt n pepper squid as it was oily, all others meals were good. Would go back

Was lucky enough to be staying in manly 2 weekends in a row. First Saturday had champas with a view at lunch time. Returned that evening with great entertainment down stairs and jumping tunes upstairs. Returned next week for an amazing pub burger down stairs reasonably priced for a big meal. Then the same entertainment on the ground level as the previous week. He is so good. Would def go back there.

Stopped in for a couple of beers. The range on tap was extensive and staff were happy to give a taste test and recommend. Ended up staying for a burger and they were both sensational.

BBQ Chicken Pizza Review: Sophie's cheeky tuesday pizza was an experience i am humbled to have gone through myself. The initial tang of sweet baby rays barbecque sauce shines through like an ice addict on the 1am L90 to the city, and sets up the palate for a transformative journey through the savoury realm. The hero of this Manatoba sauce cake is our feathered friend who saves the day with a healthy serving of lean protein, enough to satisfy a eunuch bodybuilder with an all consuming HGH addiction. While this tasty treat would not be suited for a lite and easy home delivery meal, you can put your worries at ease knowing that Sophie has hooked you up with plenty of veggies and other fat friendly goodies. Speaking of, the ratio of our root vegetables to the tree hangers (onions and capsicum for the uncultured swine in our midst) is unencumbered with the presence of mind that you might be a tree hugging vegan. The lucky recipient of this meal can choose to season their nutritious deposit of calories with basil and peri peri sauce; a move made by the bold and daring looking to further enrich their experience of sophie's cheeky tuesday delight. Hope u like a long wait for a salad and a burger 45 mins and the salad was pathetic .... why do you always disappoint

The food was really bad, we had chicken wings (deep fried and tasteless) and the pizza ( was soggy and doughie) wouldn't eat there again

The setting in this hotel on the roof top is so relaxing. You can lay back in the bed lounges or couches or sit up at a table, the choice is yours. Food service is a bit slow but we coped because the setting and view is so nice. Prices are very reasonable. Highly reommended
