Nice place. The staff are lovely and engaging. The menu is interesting with lots for everyone. Good choice of wines including by the glass. Not expensive. Generous serving sizes. Lovely country town ambience. Lovely produce for sale too. We ate here three times. Each time was lovely. Recommended.
Great find in the beautiful town of Mansfield. I always visit love looking around at the gourmet Jams, wines, artwork and giftwares.
I love the high ceilings and rustic vibe.
The coffee is always great and on my many visits never have I had an issue with the food.
The only thing I could say needs improvement is the menu on the chalkboard is hard to read especially if you don’t have great vision. It would be great to have all things printed out on the menu as well as specials ect.
The other thing it can be very busy so make sure you book on weekends!
We came here for a late lunch on a Sunday and the place was very busy. We managed to share a table with another party. We ordered the beef and chicken pies along with a sausage roll. The pies were nice but the prices was a little steep for what you get. Nonetheless, we thoroughly enjoyed the cakes. The cheesecake and sticky date pudding cake deserve a mention. Service was prompt despite being busy.

This is one of my highlights when coming to Mansfield. And I like that it's called by the locals 'the produce store' - simple and easy.
Popular for a variety of reasons but I'd say it's because of the atmosphere, great staff and good food.
The building is old - well old for Australian standards - 1895 and they've kept and maintained the well-built rafters and high ceilings. which give it that rustic, earthy, country feel.
Food - nice menu choice whether it's a simple ham, cheese and tomato toastie right up to something a little fancier. The coffee is good and I mean really good. The danishes, croissants, muffins, cakes and slices are abundant and have tried one of each, every time I visit. It's not a 'cheap' place to eat but the quality is very high.
Wheelchair friendly. Kid friendly. High chairs are available. Good parking out the front. Takeaway available. Dietaries catered for. They can do catering as well.
Open from 8.30am to 5pm - this is the place to come for good food and fresh produce.
Been stopping here regularly on our way to/from Buller since this place opened. Consistently offers yummy food and coffee. Baguettes and the selection of cakes are to die for. It can get a little busy in the middle of the lunchtime rush but always worth the wait if you can afford the time.
Very busy cafe. Food is so fresh and delicious. I enjoyed the brekky baguette that comes with fluffy scrambled eggs and crispy bacon. Awesome Coffee and hot chocolate as well.
Visted here today on my trip from Melbourne and I was extremely pleased with my experience. The food was fresh and very tasty. I ordered the pulled pork salad and OMG the pork was so smooth and just melted in your mouth. The salad could have had more flavour and things in it other than a lettuce mix , but was a nice salad to have on a hot day. Great place to also buy some fresh and local jams, relishes , pasta sauces etc! Will return!
This eatery I rate pretty good. Standard good breakfast grub you get here. Food tastes great and that’s what matters most after a major hangover (post wedding breakkie). Oh I almost forgot.. the coffee is on point too. For me a country cafe sometimes it can be sub par when it comes to coffee, but here that wasn’t the case. I had avocado eggs which were great with a hearty serve of bacon (perrrfect!). Wife had the gluten free French toast. She is a celiac and was excited re this...and it didn’t disappoint due to the bread being absolutely sensational!!..so other fellow celiacs.. definitely have a go at that. Definitely no regrets coming here considering locals all flocked here too.
Went to this place passing through Mansfield. It has a lovely vibe. Cosy without being small. The food was good. I had the French onion baked bread pudding, my friends had the soup of the day and the baguettes. Portions were good and all food had plenty of flavour. Would recommend.
We came here after visiting the Mansfield Zoo. The ice chocolate is creamy and not too sweet. Baguette is a must order. We tried the rare roast beef, loved it! Would miss it..
Lovely lunch here on a busy Saturday. Amazing food, great service and great atmosphere. I ordered a roasted pumpkin salad and my husband got the produce store burger. Tasted fantastic - looks of flavor with a homemade feel. Definitely would come back next time we are in Mansfield.
Had a nice lunch here whilst travelling through Mansfield on business, had the pulled pork salad which was delicious, fantastic flavour. Pretty cool space, very quaint & homely. Reputation well deserved it seems!
This is an excellent little cafe to visit, always busy, quirky relaxed atmosphere, excellent service by lovely staff. Had breakfast here, fast service, great hot coffee and very fresh, well presented food, servings which are so generous it was hard to finish it all......... but we did! Well worth a visit, great menu and a nice wine cellar to browse. Top notch.
Beautiful hazelnut chocolate cake with strong coffee flavor. My son ordered the Creamy chicken mushroom and it would be perfect if the dish wasn't forgotten and hot.
Eclectic in style and cuisine, it's the Collingwood/Fitzroy destination of the High Country.
With such a name, its emphasis is on fresh and local - as well as quality. The coffee is good, the baguettes fresh, overfilled and very tasty (the corned beef with sauerkraut, pickles and cheese truly fabulous), the salads large and diverse. But there's also soups, main course meats and veggie options - all excellent (or at least looked it) and very friendly in service and delivery.
And, of course, there's produce and local made foodstuffs scattered around the place for purchase as well as big comfy chairs and newspapers if you intend to dwell.
Brilliant rosemary sausage with lamb. Nice location with romantically eating environment. Really old time style inside and little cute stuff for gift.
Awesome - to quote my extremely fussy 9 yr old "this is the best ever restaurant " - food was delicious and service was super friendly - a must visit if you're in Mansfield
Just had a yummy lunch. Lamb shank soup and crusty roll. Good coffee. Warmed by the fire. Charming place. Great friendly service. Got my vote.

This is a pretty little store.. The breakfast was nice and came out quickly. The coffee was average, my tongue is still numb though. I recommend it but maybe just ask for the coffee not too hot..

Great recommendation!. Thanks to a friend who lives in Mansfield, we discovered The Produce Store for lunch, & then for take-a-way dinner the next day. This is everything you could want from a country restaurant: great food, efficient service, well priced, eclectic decor, happy atmosphere. We were fortunate to visit Mansfield over a relatively mild & gloriously fine weekend, with just enough Autumn chill to justify the wonderful thick vegetable soup for lunch and the lamb shank soup & sourdough loaf we took away for dinner next day.
Great value and great service. With over 20 bicycle riders needing an early breakfast before hitting the Mansfield Rail Trail, the Produce Store was very accommodating in opening a bit earlier and managed to get us fed and away very efficiently. A good range of breakfast fare combined with great coffee and friendly service was appreciated by the entire group. It's an interesting store with art work, preserves and other fascinating items which just means that we'll have to go back and spend some more time browsing!!
Produce Store - Cappuccino & Chai Latte. Visited this cafe before heading to Mt Buller. Cappuccino & chai latte ($8.60 for both) were different compared to Victorian metro but still tasted great. Service was really friendly and fast. The food served to others looked great and delicious, unfortunately we didn't stay for lunch to try.
Service. I agree with the good reviews but sometimes the service can be very slow.
Excellent atmosphere, food & coffee. Had lunch there yesterday and thoroughly loved it. Highly recommend the sweet potato & macadamia fritters & the Beef Cheeks. Back there today for lunch before the drive back to Melbourne - OMG what a taste sensation the smoked salmon baguette was...simply but sooo tasty oh and got to end your visit there with a coffee & chocolate brownie!! Well done guys!

The place is beautiful, lots of food, wine and everything local. Breakfast and Lunch is always on the menu when in town.
Coffee is always good. Staff are great and friendly, and the place is clean, safe and Covid aware.

Great food coffee cake smoothies and service at Mansfield Produce Store. The BLT baguette and ginger tea is a beaut.
Fabulous food and ambience. Great food wonderful staff. Even asked if we were warm enough. Even though they were very busy. Lots of yummy foods to buy to take home as well. Toilets. Covid safe. Asked for licence to make sure we weren't from.red zones. Can't wait to go back. The pie of the day, was to die for. Chicken, mushroom and bacon, delicious with a capital D.
Exceptional food and produce here loved everything that was served. Great customer service and very vibrant cafe. Very popular as we had a 30 min wait but was definitely worth it. Will definitely be coming again soon, recommend to anyone looking for a great experience.

Fantastic cafe/shop with a quaint atmosphere and friendly staff. Loved that this was open 4pm on a cold, wet Sunday and had a fire going and kitchen open. The coffee was top notch and they were even able to modify a baguette to make it vegan for me. A positive experience!!
