Review Riversmith - Margaret River

So impressed with this cafe, we got the French toast and pancakes and they were honestly to absolutely die for. DELICIOUS, and the coffee was beautiful too. Really modern inside with lots of light and comfy sofas. Highly recommend.

Absolutely delicious brunch. Had the salmon with eggs and hash and everything was spot on. Portion sizes are really generous as well. A must come for brunch if you are in the Margaret River area!

Had a lovely oatmilk cappuccino and spiced chai latte. They use GREAT oatmilk too. Had delicious poached eggs that had a tasty chutney with it!!

Not very happy with the service. It took them longer to bring a bottle of juice to my table than it took them to scramble some eggs, make toast, and cook bacon. But the food was really good. They served the hot drinks in takeaway cups, which my mum was not happy about! Would recommend going there, but keep in mind that they may forget some things. (Keep in mind they are also short staffed) đź‘Ť

I ordered the vegan Buddha bowl...for $25 I'm expecting to be blown away by flavour...no flavour at all...not even seasoned!! Luckily there was salt and pepper on the table...the salt is not even pink salt though...and the water is tap...a lot of the spinach was wilted...the tomatoes too hot to eat...the mushrooms old...and to make the flavourless dish more disspointing...there was a blonde hair in my food...won't be coming back...flavourless and overpriced...seriously underwhelming...when I went to give the feedback the lady at the counter brought out the manager...instead of letting me share the feedback she hands me money and when I said can I give the feedback she said she heard it all and she doesn't want to hear it she doesn't need it today...wow speechless...very rude and grumpy...save your money here, they clearly don't care about the people

Didn’t give us an opportunity to wait for a table for 4, just a straightforward “No, go somewhere else”

Smoothies tasted awful and the service wasn't great. Food was good but we ordered toast and it took 20 mins to come out.

We don't usually leave reviews and definitely never bad ones because we don't want to hurt small/local businesses River Smith usually always has great food and service We also had a horrible experience with the lady making coffees/calling out orders - she was blonde with her hair down (in the food service industry?? WHILE making and bringing us drinks) she also did not have a mask on - whatever your beliefs on this the government has sanctioned laws and businesses are responsible for upholding them. She wore a mask below her nose to bring us coffee then proceeded to spill coffee all over our table and said 'oh, sorry' also that she "can't do anything with these masks" and walked off not bringing back napkins or trying to help clean the mess she made. She also rather than walking around the table to hand us drinks leaned over the table knocking the glass water bottles over making further mess she did not help with. Other staff were friendly and we understand it was a busy time and would also understand if she was having a bad day, but she did not make any effort to correct her actions or make it seem out of place - most of us work in the service industry and don't like to put strain on staff in any way however her actions were truly unacceptable from someone working in the service industry. In sight of a border opening and the week after cases were confirmed in Margaret River this establishment made us feel uncomfortable and we will most likely not be back. The food was good but not good enough to overlook the poor service.
