My hubby and parents dined at The River for lunch on the long weekend. We were all impressed with the venue. Considering the restaurant was busy, our meals were provided quickly and we were in and out in about 40 minutes. My mum and I shared a few share plates including the sweet potato, polenta and lentil fritters and we were blown away by the flavours in each dish. Highly recommend.

Now, If you want to experience a good old local Margaret River pub vibe, then this is definitely the place to go. Locals enjoying a hearty meal, beers on tap, the deafening laughter of good old mates after a long week of work, this place churns the works. The place was swamped without much room to move. Waitresses were squeezing through the crowd. There was an organized chaos going on at the bar. This place isn’t the place to go to celebrate a kids birthday after 5pm or to toss champagne over an anniversary celebration but definitely the place to catch up with good old mates, enjoy some local produced beer and soak in the atmosphere of a good, authentic Australian pub scene.

So, this is a nice place to eat but the menu is just not it. People want popular, yummy foods and personally I couldn't get anything to eat since it's all odd mixtures of food. I did end up trying the Chili prawn and bacon and the bacon just didn't match the food at all! This is a cute hotel to stay at with a nice view but the food should be a bit better for the people staying there.

We came here Saturday night for dinner. Loved it so much we came back Sunday night! Beef burger is awesome. The brownie was my wife's favourite. "Divine" is the word she used. Portions are big enough that you could share if you're not too hungry, or perfect if you're absolutely starving. No point looking around the town for other dinner options now 🤣👌

Kiwis on holiday.we found this wonderful place Including loverly French barmaid who was really helpful, also had the spaghetti shrimp combo we shared. FANTASTIC! Not sure what some people expect,it's great to find new recipes at a really good price.thanks

The River has fast become one of our favourite pubs in the region. Very chilled. Loads of seating areas. And in the mild autumn evenings it is good to sit outside, under the lights, with a beer.

Lovely spot. Food was okay but unfortunately the whole experience was some what tarnished by one member of the bar staff. When working in hospitality, you need to remain hospitable!

Food was good menu could do with some work to many strang things on it probably all nice but not willing to order stuff I wasn't shore if I'd eat. maybe if I was willing to order second meal if I didn't like first one I'd try them. Just been back to stay again stayed in standard room last time I was here they aren't to bad rooms but this time I'm in a slef contained room and it's really nice seen in another one and it looked even better would be happy to come back with rooms like this
