If you are looking for comfort food, here they are. The dumplings are good but not juicy. They have big portion for fried rice. Their noodles are okay but you feel a bit thirsty after eating them.
Negatives first. We sat down only to find out we had to be moved to an outside table because we had a pram. Even though there was plenty of room. They should put a sign if it’s a expectation for parents with prams. After being sat outside we asked for some extra bowls. Then to be told they are inside and to fetch them ourselves. Even though there was plenty of staff and not that busy. Luckily the food tastes good and comes out quick. So good food but average service
I Found My Crispy Pork!
Amazing food and reasonably prices. The crispy pork was delicious and did not contain bones like some other restaurants and also the fat was crunchy. The sweet and sour pork was also amazing and had the right amount of batter and perfectly cooked.
I definitely recommend this dumplings Plus restaurant over the other one located within HighPoint. I suggest to try the Crispy Pork. “To die for”.
Really great dumplings and love their spicy fried chicken with peanuts.Ma Po tofu is very delicious too.service is fast would prefer more customer interaction though
Hits the spot each time. Quick service and very tasty food. I love coming back to level 1 Dumpling plus because it’s more cosy. Overall dining experience is good!

Do yourself a favour and venture on in here, I can't count the number of times I've eaten here but there are two things that I'm always drawn to
1 : chicken and prawn wonton soup which is a bargain, pretty basic but is full of flavour and a great winter warmer,
2: the dumplings of course, 10 dumplings is really enough for two people and doused in a mixture of rice vinegar and soy at a 50:50 ratio they compliment the wonton soup really well
The restaurant located at the lower ground floor, next to JB Hi fi at Highpoint shopping centre is always packed with people during the weekend. You order at the counter, take a number and the food will be served to your table. The food portion is huge and very reasonably priced. We ordered the pork prawn wonton in mild Chilli sauce, stir fry beans with mince pork and hot & spicy soup. All the food were very tasty and we would return.
The service is fast however waiting for the food sometimes felt like forever.
Wontons in chilli oil are very nice, I have to order less spicy cause the normal one is too hot for me.
The five spice noodle soup had a nice broth that the udon noodles were able to absorb the flavour of both the beef and soup

I have not had dumplings before so I can't compare it to other places. I definitely enjoyed the food, it's so different from my food plan or anything else I've ever had or refeed with on a Friday. Mass variety and low cals :)
Very speedy and friendly Asian style service. Cheap and yum! My favourite was undoubtedly the Custard bun. I am definitely a fan of Custard as previously mentioned. It was amazing and the bun was beautifully sweet! 10/10!
The curry puff was enjoyable. The beef dumplings were the best of the dumpling family. I found the vegetable spring roll better than the beef but that's personal preference. The steamed and fried dim sim were good but nothing special. I found the tofu, chicken dumplings and the prawn & chives dumplings weren't the best but once again personal preference.
I was very excited for the BBQ Pork Bun but I was left disappointed. The bun was spot on but I found there wasn't enough filling nor did the filling taste like pork or any real taste at all to me.

Generous size of fried rice and lemon chicken, very nice seafood with xo sauce on sizzling plate. Stir fied hokkien noodle and bbq pork bun were okay. Reasonable price. Happy tummy tonight.
We love coming here for dinner or lunch. We've probably eaten here more than I can remember actually. My partner and her parents all being from Beijing testify to the authenticity of flavoring at this restaurant. The dish size and value is great and they allow you to take away any leftovers with you. We have tried most dishes on the menu and have rarely been dissapointed. I personally love the pork belly and pan fried dumplings.
One of my favourite places! Never disappointed! Its allocated at the basement of highpoint shopping Center so plenty of seats available, great for family with babies & kids. Great customer service and quick serving. For those who love spicy food: order the spicy chicken, trust me you will go back for more!
Had lunch here today; the a5 pork dumplings in chilli oil. They were tasty, perhaps the dough was a little soggy. Price was 9.80 for 12 dumplings which I thought was fairly reasonable. Dumplings plus only accepts eftpos if your transaction is over $15, so otherwise take cash. Service is fairly prompt and the hawker style food court is a pleasant place to have lunch. I have no eaten at the other dumplings plus in highpoint so I am unable to compare. I would eat here again during a highpoint shopping trip.

disappointing dumplings. Good for a quick fix but nothing near dumplings in the city. Hokien noodles are quite oily & BBQ pork buns don't have a great texture. Soup dumplings are nice but again much better in Footscray or the city.
Dumpling Plus in Highpoint SC close to the bowling alley. (Not the one closer to the green grocers.) We love their simple and quick meals. Packed with flavour and cheap. Try their set dishes of pork, fish & chicken with rice. Their roast duck noodle soup is one of the best in Melbourne. My favourite is lemongrass pork chop with rice. So delicious & serving is big.
We were blown away by how good this place was. The pan fried pork dumplings were MASSIVE. Thicker skin than I usually like but it was really good here. Steamed prawn dumplings were also great, and the string beans with pork mince was highly addictive! Food served extremely fast, but still freshly cooked - they obviously have quite high turnover and a very productive kitchen.
A good little place for lunch at the always busy Highpoint, and it's designed so you don't feel like you are at a food court. I ordered the shao-mai (pork and prawn dumplings) and they hit the table literally 15 seconds later. Obviously they are steamed ahead of time so they can pump out the dishes. They were hot, not piping hot, but fine, and I enjoyed them. The hot and sour soup on the other hand was piping hot. It had pretty good flavour but it was the first version I had tried that didn't have any BBQ pork, and the little prawns were tasteless bullets. Still for a $10 lunch I left satisfied and I would return. There are two of these stores at Highpoint - I dined at the venue which is on the lower ground level (near Hoyts).
I have been here quite a few times due to the great portion size, best thing to do is come with a few friends and share the meals. The food is pretty quick to come out. I love the lemon chicken, and Singapore noodles. Dumplings were massive, I personally found the filling a bit to much, but that's just me. Honey chicken was ok, not enough meat inside though. Overall it's worth trying with a group of friends to have some variety
It's a personal preference but of all the types of Chinese food I can't go pass a good steam dumpling. Dumpling plus makes perfect shopping center food it's cheap, quick and very good.
Although the West side has a large Asian community, the majority are of Vietnamese descent whereas the Chinese migrated to the East. (There’s also Chinese-Vietnamese but I can’t get into that because it’s complicated!)This meant we were blessed with an abundant of Vietnamese restaurants but left without many local Chinese restaurants (by this I mean dine-in restaraunts, not take-away or food court). Since Dumplings Plus opened at Highpoint a few years ago it has been my regular haunt for good and cheap dumplings. Dumplings Plus gets busy so the food has a higher turnover and you are less likely to be given take-away dumplings from the front counter. I’ve been here several times but some days can be a miss.

Poet I'm not, but rather than despair at bain marie noodles on plastic plates, there's a bunch of Asian eateries on level 1 offering meals above the usual food court fare, in almost restaurant surroundings.
Pan fried pork dumplings (12 pieces) are enormous and quite flavoursome, packed with lots of coriander while the pastry has the right amount of crispy chewiness. Won ton noodles are also generous with loads of bok choy and spring onions, with fried shallots thoughtfully served on the side. Serve-yourself chilli oil and vinegar are good, but water comes in disposable cups, reminding you that this place isn't restaurant standard. Still, it's a bit of a food saviour in the shopping centre landscape.
Great food every time! It's always busy here and for good reason. Be ready to order once you get to the counter and they will seat you.
Best thing on the menu for me is the Szechuan pork noodles B1. It's amazing!
The dumplings here are 10 times the size of dumplings anywhere else... the pan-fried pork dumplings were the size of my fist.
The food was so cheap for how much you get.
We took home 3 containers full and had it for lunches the next day.

Yes this is a franchise. There's even another one upstairs in highpoint alone. But I give respect when it's due. This particular outlet is always packed, and the kitchen keeps pumping out great food at an amazing rate. The front of house lead by Ken is ushered adroitly through. He never fail to amaze, displaying service straight out Flower Drum. We always have the chilli dumplings, chicken dumplings, veg fried rice and the honey chicken. All still very well done and a cut above average.
Unlike the other store on level two, the dumplings tasted a lot fresher here! Thin skins, tasty porky fillings and served piping hot! Their chilli oil is very good too, which is important. Service however could do with a little work considering they lost my order. What was meant to be a 5-10 minute wait, became closer to half an hour. The girl was apologetic but when you have limited time restraints, this can be a real inconvenience.
Hubby and I have been here a couple of times and thought the food and service were great on both occasions. My 2 year old loves the rice and dim dims. Will be back to try different items from the menu.

Who doesn't know dumpling plus in high point ?if you don't . Get on to it guys . From one food court now to second food court now ,they are surely doing something right . The new one is Clean is so much bigger then the first one . customer service was still up to the standard, food came up quickly . And guys most importantly foods are delish . So now who is with me :)
Came in for brunch with Thaitanic of course . My must order dish is wontons in hot chilli sauce . Sweet and spicy but it wasn't overly spicy , now a lot of places doesn't stuffed a lot of prawn inside the wontons because they wanted to cut the cost . But not with this wontons, you could taste all the prawn and meats inside . Party in your mouth Wohoo .Ensure you dip it with the sauce . They are delish...
I have also discovered my new favour noodle soup in dumpling plus , ( hot and sour bbq pork or beef brisket noodle soup ) Thaitanic must have a I can't eat spicy face on , because the waitstaff highly advised us to make it not too spicy . So we listened to her . And guess what ? Ended up it wasn't spicy enough , so guys if you can take spicy . Don't take any advice . Just go for original mate . We Asian can take it . :p ..
Customer service was A+ for high turn over restaurant . Thumb up to the Restaurant manager for manage the team really well . very pleasant and attentive each time when I go .
YUM!!! Stopped by for brunch looked to be new so why not try it out!! The dumplings were Delish!! Pan fried pork and the spicy shihuan were so fresh and flavoursome! Soup was tasty and all well priced!! Will def be back for round 2!!

My babes and I went to Highpoint to check out the Electric Fields Festival. While we were watching kids in sumo suits battling it out on the main stage next to JB-HiFi, we felt like trying some of our favourite dumplings from the recently opened Dumplings Plus on Level 1.
I ordered the Pork & Prawn Wantons in Hot Chilli Sauce and my babes ordered the Shanghai Steamed Pork Dumplings, or Xiao Long Bao.
The wantons came out after about 10 minutes of waiting and they looked just how they should be! Taking my first bite, I was pleasantly surprised that the ratio of pork to prawn in the wanton was around 1:1. The prawns tasted fresh, the pork perfectly cooked and the chilli sauce was more mild than I expected but still had a nice hit of chilli!
The dumplings came out 5 minutes later but they were more of what I was expecting. They were cooked nicely but lacked the quality and flavour of dumplings that my babes and I have had in the CBD. Not a bad option for dumplings if you live in the West though.
The wantons were much more flavoursome than the Level 2 Dumplings Plus but personally I'd rather drive into the CBD if I felt like higher quality dumplings.
This place has been opened for a week, 2nd outlet in the same shopping centre. Have been to this new location twice so far, once to dine in and the other for takeaway. Both times I have not been disappointed by the quality and taste of the food, plus it is reasonably priced.
