I was able to win a food competition on facebook and so I made my way to this store, filled with friendly staff and a eccentric vibe.
The interior needed a bit of fixing due to rips on the cushion seats, but it wasn’t really a concern for us.
We ordered the philly cheesesteak, wagyu beef burger, sweet potato fries and a milo milkshake. For the price of under $50, it was totally worth the experience.
The Philly cheesesteak was our most anticipated burger, and I was fairly satisfied how it tasted. There was a lot of juice oozing from the steak, with tasty cheese and peppers, but I wished there was a bit salt or flavour to amp it up. I had the wagyu beef which was jam packed with tomato sauce, fresh vegetables, succulent beef cooked the way I like it - crispy and soft in the inside. The tomato was a little bit on the excessive side for me but I really enjoyed every bite I had
The best food on the menu has got to be the sweet potato fries. Not only does it make me feel a little bit healthier, it was flavoured perfectly. It was so good even without the dips. The chilli mayo sauce, however, works harmoniously with the fries which I highly recommend.

Had a vegan burger and friend had a Manhattan and we shared sweet potato chips. DELICIOUS! So much more reasonably priced than other burger joints and actually good, ya know? Really hits the spot
I’ve seen a couple of these burger stores around and thought I’ll give it a try instead of going into Grill’d. Fortunately it ended up paying off as the burgers and chips we ordered were delicious!
I had the New York burger and even though the piece of bread in the middle made it a little difficult to it the beef patties and the other ingredients meshed well with each other. My wife had the Hell’s Kitchen chilli burger which you enjoyed too. The chips were crispy and crunchy.
Service was friendly and the food came out pretty quickly .
New York burger- absolutely delicious. Obviously inspired by a Big Mac with the 2 patties, spinach and pickles, but a way more gourmet quality version. My only gripe is that it gets extremely messy by the end with the sauce dripping everywhere. Then again, that is all part of the experience.
Fries- incredible, crispy and salted well. Must be double or even triple cooked.

🎞Very artisan burgers with the familiar ‘fresh off the grill’ undertone. In that sense, the burgers tasted more fresh and weren't dipping with oil compared to typical fast food joints. The juicy beef patty complimented with flavourful dripping special sauce. Sweet potato chips were crunchy and lovingly salted!
Coming in late on Thursday night and being staffed by older teens/young adults while their friends were also in the store was an experience. At the same time, you understood their case to have fun with their mates but as a customer I felt a little dismissed. However, it's only a small issue, it was a Thursday night so whatever.
My gripe is that they don't have free tap water? Instead, you're upselled to bottled water which is a big no.
Management could probably consider and afford having tap water in store for customers to have.
Had the Philly Cheese Steak, mini New York, chips and a chocolate thickshake. A feast. Philly was absolutely delicious, meat superb and the bun fantastic. Way too juicy though, went through probably a dozen serviettes whilst demolishing. Thickshake was incredible. Very icy, very thick, and lots of real chocolate. Could not fault. Chips were good without being exceptional. Mini New York looked sensational and tasted just as good. Staff were really good, and the servings large, so bring an appetite. Looking forward to trying out more on the menu !
Went here for dinner and it was great. Friendly staff for a great meal! Burger and chips were beyond my expectations. Only negative criticism I have to give is the Oreo and Chocolate milkshakes we ordered. Hardly any milk in it tasted like a thick shake. Otherwise a Great night and meal!
Cheese wasn't to my liking and the Wagyu patties were only OK. Fries were great. Didn't get to try the normal beef patties but overall 7/10.

Great burger takeaway or eat it. Had a quick lunch in today to give it a try. 1 veg burger and 1 vegan. Both yummy as. Id probably say I favoured the veg burger but honestly both great. THANKYOU for not using an oily brioche bun like so many burger joints favour now but a super yummy and not oily bun. No oil on the serving paper it came out on and no oil all over my fingers. The male staff member with wavy hair was awesome and was able to help guide me with the vego burgers and he's the reason I'm writing this. I felt like he went above and beyond the standard of customer service I normally get given and he's a huge plus to this joint. Friendly, easy going and knowledgeable. Decor inside nice n comfy with booths too and food came out quick. See you again soon!

I was surprised by this in a good way! The bun wasn't sweet which was good, the fillings worked were nice and balanced and the spinach in the burger worked great as it didn't make everything soggy, chips were nice and crunchy.
I love the burgers here!!!!! Have that gourmet flavour but also an authentic delicious burger that isn't too heavy on the stomach compared to thee burger places making you feel heavy when you leave.
Really filling.
For those who like to be 'down and dirty' eating hamburgers then try this venue. On this, my first visit, I ordered the New York Burger which was served within very reasonable time. I visited on a Friday and this place was busy. The service was good and the burger was big. The New York burger was very juicy and tasted nice. I enjoyed my dinner here and would def come back and recommend anyone to dine here.
The best food i have eaten in a very long time, definitely will be back to try every burger they make.
The waiting staff are frendly and helpful, they make you feel at home and welcome

The guy who served me with a tattoo on his arm recommended the NYC brisket with extra brisket. The burger was great I can't fault it at all. The service was good as well. It's NOT your standard greasy burger place. Give it a try you will not be disappointed.
Never been here before so decided to drop in. Must say their chips are delicious, special sauce wasn't so special but the aioli sauce was good. Ordered Broadway Chicken burger which was decent, the chicken was juicy and the bacon was a great salty condiment to the burger but nothing spectacular. Partner had the New Jersey beef burger which was delicious! Double beef pattie cooked to perfection, heaps of pickles and mustard very cheesey the way he liked it. Would return to try out other burgers on their menu.
My second time here. My first experience was quite poor but this time I have to say was pretty good. I had the cheese steak again and this time there was more flavour and I enjoyed it. The steak was tender and beautiful. I also had a New Jersey burger which was very good. The patties had so much flavour, my brother had the chicken satay burger which he said was tender and moist but he said the sauce was missing something. He loved his oreo shake and I loved my hazelnut crunch shake. We also had some chips and both sauces which also really pretty good.
I'd like to thank Jesse for his great hospitality and vouchers to make my experience a good one. This experience really did top my last one.

Dined here about a month ago, visited a few times. Have previously ordered the Hell's Kitchen, Philly Cheese, Coney Island Chicken and Broadway Chicken burger.
I always always order chicken for my burgers, for fear that my beef patty will always be overcooked after countless visits to different burger stores. The chicken patty was juicy for chicken breast and the sauce was well done to perfectly. Coney Island was literally just the schnitzel with Broadway toppings, but was still a nice feed. Philly Cheese, I was told that it was nothing super special, however the balance was done really well and flavours were a standout! Our buns were also toasted (?) well. The Hell's Kitchen was dripping in sauce and had a nice kick to them. Fries weren't bad, their sweet potato ones were a little salty from top to bottom.
Staff weren't too bad, on our initial visit they were a little amiss, with a bit of loud music playing, dirty tables around. But I think there was a change in management somewhere along our visit and everything since then has been well done!

Ordered the New York burger, it was very juicy. The bun was nice and soft, the burger was a good portion enough to fill me up it also had that special sauce which is almost similar to a big mac sauce.
Another excellent place for a burger fix.
Late night dinner. Good burger for its price. Schnitzel could be thicker but the rest was good! Milkshakes are recommended and chip too! Will be back to try the beef burger!
Philly Cheese Steak with homemade smokey bbq sauce was delicious! Everything just melts in your mouth. I'm definitely coming back for more.

New York Minute may just be the next big thing for Coeliacs’. After hearing all about their gluten free burgers I had to investigate. Their website and online responses were in depth and reassuring. They guaranteed no cross contamination and with ‘all staff trained in cross contamination’ it sounded promising. I took the calculated risk to eat there. The store that I visited and asked about was Highpoint so I am unable to comment on the practices of any other restaurant. Please also note that due to the nature of the food industry practices, ingredients and staff are always changing. At the time of your visit you should ask all the appropriate questions for yourself.
Polite prompt service. I had the Southern Burger and it was delicious. You can taste the beef and the bacon and the tomato and even a little bit of pepper. Would definitely eat here again.
Not sure why the bad reviews or low rating but, this new burger joint is wonderful! Great service. Enjoyable burgers. However the milkshakes won me over! Tried their hazelnut crunch (mind you, I'm not a fan of hazelnut), and it was so tasty! Overall a lovely experience. Would definitely go back again! 😌

Also tried a shake...Oreo is the best. One thing I noticed is the food comes out very fast!! And the staff are very friendly. I didn't have to get up and get my own napkins ha! I'll definitely be back soon.
Friendly customer service, was referred by a staff member to try the New Jersey burger.. beef patties were juicy and the burger melted in my mouth. Topped off my meal with a side of sweet potato chips and a Caramel Crunch milkshake. Highly recommend for a chic, gourmet fast food restaurant which provides burgers and flavours for all tastebuds.
New York Jersey Burger was the choice of the day. Two grass fed beef patties, premium swiss cheese, sweet imported pickles and onion, and lastly topped off with some homemade American mustard and tomato sauce gave it the authentic Jersey feel!
I would highly recommend trying this store as it is by far my favourite burger joint in Melbourne. From the moment I was greeted with menus and shown to my seat, the atmosphere of the store was very warm and welcoming. The staff are very friendly and provide excellent service when helping with suggestions and questions. The menu has a wide range of meats to choose from and the Satay Chicken is my absolute favourite burger as the sauce and jalapeños add a kick to my tastebuds. Tonight I decided to try the Springtime Veggie burger with additional onions and pickles; I was drawn in when I found out the veggie patty is homemade in the store. When I took my first bite, the buns were hot and the veggie patty was cooked to perfection. No doubt will be coming back to try the other burgers!!
One thing I really like about New York Minute is they have a salad option. No, no not for me.. for the missus.
So now I can go eat my burgers and she can have her salad which she loves I might add and we're both happy!
The burgers here were very filling and quite flavoursome. The bun wasn’t as sweet compared to other burger joints which I don’t favour a lot, however, the chips were very nice and crisp.
Ordered small takeaway burger with side chips and a vanilla milkshake, service was quick and friendly, burgers tasted fresh, burgers were good but didn't 'blow me away'. Milkshake was better than i expected.

Friendly, quick service and massive burgers. The standout is definitely the milkshakes...we had the hazulnut one...and it's so much better than 8bit or any other burger place I've been too. The burgers were quite tasty, however no real 'wow' factor. We had the chicken broadway. Chips are good :)
It was my first time eating at New York Minute. Had their New York Burger. It was bigger than I expected. I couldn't fit the whole burger in mouth. Hence I was not able experience all of it in my mouth. However, it was still good. The beef patties were not dry. It was nice and juicy. The buns were crispy on the outside and soft and fluffy. The condiment was plentiful. It's isn't the best but it is not the worst I have eaten.
The service staff was really friendly and polite.
Great customer service, staff were all very polite. Burgers were standard price for a burger shop. This time around was better than my previous experience, burger was made nice and juicy with a good amount of sauce, however the meat needed more season, I didn't mind the chips, they were crunchy and salty. They also could do with a wider variety of flavors and ingredients on the menu.

I had my first experience at New York Minute highpoint a few weeks ago, and the team were so helpful in helping me choose the right burger and were so welcoming to my friends and I, they greeted us with menu's and offered to find us a table that was most comfortable for our experience. After that I was immediately drawn to the place with the quick service, and such care that the staff show in making your experience one you honestly will tell every one of your friends about!
Since then I've been to the Highpoint & Carlton store and it's by far my favourite burger restaurant! Each and everytime the burgers are full of flavour and without a doubt no room for fault. I've tried the Broadway Grilled Chicken Burger, and it's probably the best burger I've ever tasted, the combination of all the ingredients is to die for. My friend is intolerant to gluten so she has a hard time finding enjoyable and actually tasty food that's safe to eat, NYM catered to all of that and we couldn't be more happy!! The restaurant is always impeccably cleaned, and the staff take such care in your experience that some of the staff even remember my order without me needing to tell them when I visit! I've yet to find a burger restaurant where the manager and creator of the whole brand 'New York Minute' is actually involved with the stores, working hard and still has the time to greet you and tell you honestly where all the ingredients are from, how they're made and delivered to the stores, to how they're delivered to your mouth! He also loves feedback, every meal asking how the food was, if there could be any improvements showing the utmost importance to making your visit incredible every time, and they actually listen!! Unlike this big name burger shops this place takes such care in your opinion. Love love love this place!! 10/10.
Was in last night had a wagyu beef burger which was absolutely amazing! The buns were very soft and felt very fresh :) The chips were to die for!!!!

New york minute is the best burger place out there, it slams all the competition. every experience I have had there has been fantastic. The food there is amazing with unique flavours, very different to other burger joints in the area. the vibe there is great, very cool and modern without being sterile, and the service and staff are fantastic and came up to us to see if we were enjoying it and if we needed anything something which you don't get at many burger joints. it is cool because it is new york themed, but not how you would expect. it isn't the tacky American themed places with cars and such, but more current. the burgers are made with fresh and quality ingredients, which you can taste. my personal favourite is the ex-patriot burger, which is a fresh patty with a salad, i find it very refreshing and it doesn't sit heavy on your stomach. their most famous burger, the new york mac, is a healthier, tastier and fresher take on McDonald's big mac burger, so great that they won an award for it granted by the one and only matt Preston. none of the food is oily and it is all extremely tasty. this is definitely one to put on your list if you love good burgers!

I am a frequent customer at New York minute, in maribyrnong, it's so hard to find a burger joint that covers all the aspects,
Let's start with the burger, I normally get the Hell's Kitchen with chicken or the Broadway chicken, from the bun itself is evenly sauced which is a key necessity while having a burger, the chicken is always so juicy, the special sauce is a great condiment for the chips which are on point,
The guys in there are mainly young kids that are great workers very attentive and polite the owners are great guys always checking if your food is okay,
I recommend this place highly, 9-10

Service impeccable! The kids love the burgers! Unfortunately for me couldn't sample the beef burger as the pattie has bread crumbs in it! Not gluten free! The alternative .. Chicken or veggie burger! The cafe did their best to accommodate! The kids loved the chips too!
Decided to try this place after getting turned off by the queue at Grills. Glad we did - very tasty burgers (American style), good sweet potato chips and an excellent chocolate shake. Best of all my partner was able to get a gluten free bun that was actually good, not just edible.
Given the quality of the ingredients (free range, grass fed etc) I thought the price was reasonable. Service was good (if a little too eager) and it was nice to not have to wait!
So elated and relieved to see the Happy Days diner gone from Highpoint and replaced by New York Minute Burgers. My son & I had awesome burgers & chips for his birthday at NYM. The buns were toasty and warm and the fillings were layered just right. The chips were so delicious; hot and seasoned to perfection. We'll be back for sure and I'd definitely recommend NYM over Grill'd any day!

My babes and I had just finished our Christmas Eve shopping at Highpoint when we began to get hungry. We felt like having some burgers so we made our way passed Hoyts to the newly opened New York Minute burger shop opposite Nando's.
We've tried NYM in Moonee Ponds before so we knew to anticipate some flavoursome, high quality burgers. I haven't had the New Jersey Burger before so I ordered that, my babes ordered the Philly Cheese Steak and we ordered a Small Chips and a Hazelnut Crunch Milkshake to share.
Located at the now defunct Happy Days Diner, I like the simple black and white tone of New York Minute's fit out, which is a bit different to their original store in Moonee Ponds, but I assume it'll be their signature design for future franchises.
I liked the look of my New Jersey Burger as soon as it was served by the extremely friendly serving staff. The toasted freshly made no added gluten burger bun had a very rustic look that gave you a very non-commercial burger feel. I liked my first bite as the flavour combinations I love were there. The crunchy onions and sweet pickles on top of the melted Swiss cheese and two beef patties cooked to medium and covered in tomato sauce and mustard. Very delicious, as all the ingredients tasted fresh, but I found nothing special compared to other burgers.
My babes Philly Cheese Steak, which is NYM's burger interpretation of a Philly Cheesesteak Sandwhich, tasted very different to cheesesteak sandwiches I've had in Philadelphia but it did have the basic ingredients I was expecting. The grass fed eye fillet steak, cooked to medium, was very tender with the Swiss cheese and smokey BBQ sauce rounding out a great flavour combination within the homemade burger bun. The only element I was missing from a traditional cheesesteak sandwich was the sautéed onions which would've made this burger perfect in my opinion.
The Small Chips were cooked perfectly giving a crunch to every bite and not overly greasy like we've experienced at other burger restaurants. We were given a free slightly spicy dipping sauce which I enjoyed but my babes preferred tomato sauce. After enquiring whether they have tomato sauce, as we couldn't see it in the fridge beneath the counter, our very helpful waiter brought us some in a small dipping container free of charge. Not sure if this is a usual thing as on their menu dipping sauce cost an extra dollar but free condiments is always gets bonus points from me!
The best part of our meal was the Hazelnut Crunch Milkshake. I was convinced that whole, fresh hazelnuts where blended in milk and ice cream as the hazelnut flavour was intense and we chewed on small chunks of nut debris as we drank the milkshake through the straws. We both thought that it's the best hazelnut milkshake we've had in Melbourne.
The burgers at New York Minute in Highpoint taste just as good as they did when my babes and I went to their Moonee Ponds restaurant. Partner that with a great looking fit out and friendly staff who would seemingly do anything for the customer and you're definitely on a winner. If every visit is just like our last one, then I wouldn't hesitate in recommending New York Minute for anyone looking for a great burger when they're shopping in Highpoint!
I think this is the best chips in Melbourne! So crispy at outside and creamy inside. The burger was yummy and full of flavour. Will definitely come back to try different thing and more chips!

Today I bought the Deli Brisket Burger. It's usually very nice. But today the meat was VERY shewy. Not at all tender enough.
It was so bad I returned the burger to the counter. The waitress heard me out, apologized and immediately asked what I wanted instead. Just a few minutes later I had a great burger at the table. Excellent service skill!
Upon entrance (the young lady with short hair, served us on the 24/1/19 at approximately 815pm, Ido apologize I didn't get your name.)
Was warm and welcoming, took our order and as we waited, she kept us up to date on the wait time, once it was ready, despite being take away she brought it out to us. Customer service was A+++, owner/ management you should be proud of your staff member and value and appreciate her.
To the chef, the burger was delicious, so thank you for a doing a great job at making my burger, I had the Hudson valley Vegan Burger, with GF bun.
My mum was also impressed with her non vegan burger as well, she enjoyed it..
Overall, the service was amazing and the food was on point, first time customers and will definitely be back.

Negative things though is the presentation. The blayn white contrast works in moderation but here it's over the top. It creates feeling of hospital-like place. Very cold and unwelcoming. I would also reconsider the lighting. Are we on catwalk while eating?
And another thing. The serving baskets. They work for the chips but not the burgers. Not everyone is able/ wants to eat like a truck driver stuffing food down the throat. A nice plate and cutlery would be great. Thank you for good service and providing me with a plate :)

New York Minute Highpoint has been consistently great. Tonight was exceptional due to the manager on duty who went totally out of his way to make the experience a pleasant one and saved the day. We usually order from here through Uber Eats, but recently the New York Minute app was recommended as the preferred method of ordering your delicious burgers. Have used your app twice before without any issues for delivery. Tonight, placed an order, paid for it in full only to get a confirmation stating that the order was for 'pickup'. Which it was not. Was not given the option either way just assumed as usual that it would be delivered. Called the restaurant only to be told there was no delivery on Wednesday, but the manager on duty went out of their way and had the order delivered to our door. Totally awesome service. And great staff, so thank you! To whoever is responsible for the New York minute app, I have some advise as I will not use it again! Make sure you tell your customers if delivery is not available BEFORE they pay and place their order, and not in the confirmation email and text message after the fact. Your staff saved the day for you so I hope you treat and pay them well. This review would have been a 0 if it wasn't for them! In short, Great service, Great food, but terrible ordering app and will stick to uber eats going forward.
