Delicious tacos - we had the special sharing platter so we could try them all - delicious! (As we’re the kids grilled corn nachos!). Great for Gluten-free, and had a great range of mocktails too. Service was a little slow, though friendly, but the food was worth the wait. We’ve now been twice in a week. Definitely worth a visit.

Delicious meal. We orders enchiladas and nachos which were delicious. You can choose what meat or non meat filling you would like. We chose pork and jackfruit which was amazing. The margaritas were also great.

Friendly staff, awesome view for lunch and delicious food. Jalapeño poppers were great and unique, not had any similar from anywhere else. Had a range of tacos and a chicken nachos, all fantastic options, in particular the buttermilk crispy fried chicken taco!

New favourite taco place with an awesome atmosphere. Recommend the Jalapeño Poppers, Tacos: buttermilk fried chicken, pulled beef brisket and Mexican Spices Calamari.

My partner and I dined here last night and we went back because our first experience here over a year ago was really good back then the service was fantastic. We had also been back on other occasions. Last night was highly disappointing we were greeted by a staff member who was very bubbly but it went downhill from there. We opted for table service as I much prefer face to face service in this digital world we are becoming. I went to the bar to place our drink order and your staff member was sitting on the floor on her phone. She did proceed to answer my question regarding strength of beers which she was knowledgeable in, I find staff on their phones during shift terribly rude. Your next staff member took our order and when it arrived it was incorrect and the food was disappointing this time. Your tortillas seem to have changed they tasted "cheap" and the food was pretty much all cold. Your food used to taste fresher and much nicer. A very disappointing night out and we won't return.

Excellent "Hot and Cold" cocktail and very friendly and helpful staff. Felt relaxed and in the flow next to the ocean. Definitely will return.

Always delicious and generously sized meals. My pick are the pulled pork nachos. Made to perfection every time with sweet juicy corn and so much flavour. Always a hit when I bring my friends. Also have great Mocktails.👌 10/10 would and do recommend.

We had a group booking here and it was great. The staff were under the pump, but went out of their way to make sure our group was looked after. The drinks were flowing and food was delicious. We will be back.

Back in the day it was rustys, then lefties and now, over the last 4 years, the Piniata has made its name and has earned our title of the top Mexican restaurant. Great authentic food made with love, Super warm and friendly locals hosting you (rather than just waiting on you) , a great selection of outstanding cocktails and a welcoming Sunny Coast vibe. Highly recommend the grilled calamari, the nachos, the creamed corn, the wings, the quesidillas , the tacos,the burritos, the sangria, the espresso martinis and the death sauce.

Of course the perfect spot, cotton tree is just the most gorgeous place to chill out with friends and family, sipping cocktails and nibbling on delicious food..... especially with the excellent food and drink on offer at the Prickly Piñata.... My girlfriend said her Margarita was to die for and my sangria was the same... mmmmm delish stand out though had to be the calamari skewers, stunning just wow Prickly Piñata a must x

Having never been here before 7 of us went for lunch yesterday for my daughters 21st. Fantastic I would say , everyone of us said we would come back again and try something else on the menu as all the meals looked and tasted great. Mexican in Aust is normally a plate full of beans and rice and cheese all mashed into anything , but not here Distinct flavours and I thought great meals for the prices. Staff super friendly and fun and all looked happy to be there . We will certainly be back. Oh and can you put VB on the drinks list please. Great Job.

1st time at Prickly Piñata the food was delicious but for the price the portion size was way to small, I would go back ONLY if the price stays the same and the portion got bigger.

A great place, fantastic food but the portions sizes are a disappointment, very small. I got chicken wings and wedges what I thought would be enough for three people for a snack but as not enough one. Would not be going back

This is our 'absolutely must go-to' restaurant when we stay in Maroochy. The food is perfect every time, tastes great, great serving sizes, well priced and overall a good time. Love love love the chicken nachos and sangria ���

We ate here on Sunday night and were extremely happy with the food and service. I highly recommend the cheese dip from the entree's (can't remember the name on the menu but...👍🏻) 😊

Great location for those with kids as there's a park opposite. Food was tasty enough but portion sizes were too small. Waiting for the "one" toilet key is not practical for children in particular.

Elise and the team at Prickly Pinata helped me organise a function there and were so helpful, friend and paitent with me. Never organised a function before. On the night everything ran smoothly, food and drinks were amazing. Staff amazing. Highly recommend them. Thank you so much

Easy, casual ambience, geat coffee and lovely staff all make for a relaxing stop when strolling along the riverfront.

I had dinner here for the first time the other night and I was underwhelmed with my meal. I ordered mostly vegetarian options and overall it was boring. Too much corn in everything and a lack of herbs or flavour. I might come back to try something else although I felt the portions were on the small side too. Another thing was that my friend and I were asked by four different waitresses if we wanted more drinks when we were sipping on our original non-alcoholic ones. I felt like they could have been more in tune with our needs.
