Review Maranello's - Maroubra

Faraday Lauren
Good quality Italian food. Simple flavours but they work well. But they are not strong flavours you may see in other places. It works well for the pasta and pizza. But for the appetisers it was a little disappointing. So just stick to your mains. In summer it had no air conditioning. This is ok for windy days, but for hot stuffy days it's excruciating to treat hot food in the same room as a pizza oven. I guess the staff have it worse. Problem is with the recent flies plague we were constantly swatting insects away from our food. All in all and an uncomfortable experience that was mostly not related to the food. Perhaps stick to takeaway.

What a delightful place to eat, loved the atmosphere and the food was amazing, this was our last stop after a very busy and full weekend in Sydney seeing Vivid and other sites around this magnificent City, we stumbled across this place while shopping for a few things for the trip home and decided to have lunch, seriously impressed!!, this country bumpkin sure was very surprised at the low prices and excellent food, fast and friendly service, definitely worth making the trip there👍

Lovely and delicious Italian food, good service and friendly staff as alway, recommend 👍

Great food, meals sizes are big. Not expensive friendly staff. I highly recommend this restaurant. Update review after eating in at the restaurant. Had the Rib eye steak and asked for it to be cooked medium to well and came out rare to empresed. Got the drinks order wrong there was only three of us eating at our table.

Lovely Italian restaurant located in Pacific Square. Portions are huge (have some for leftovers!) - the lasagna was super cheesy and flavourful, and the maranello's pizza was really nice, crispy and loaded with toppings!

Amazing experience. They definitely look after every detail. The staff was friendly and attentive and gave us good advice in regards to what to offer. The delivered the food quickly. The lasagna was very good. The tiramisu was good too. I'll definitely come back to this restaurant.

April 2022 Visited sydney again and went back to Marinello's. I had the Veal Prima. Very nice, as was the Sticky Date Pudding. Photos below. Staff and service still very good. 5 years ago. Pizza served nice and hot. Staff always welcoming accomodating and friendly. The "Maranello's Pizza" has a great flavour combination and the thin base works well. Salads are fresh. Excellent variety of food choice including steak, seafood, pasta, etc. Open every day until late which is good, especially when looking for something to eat in the area after seeing a movie at Eastgardens.

Friendly and very attentive staff. Unfortunately there was a hair on our bruschetta and my friends marinara pasta and they forgot my pizza order. Managed to get a free dessert which was delicious. Pizza was okay.

'Just had lunch here, actually have visited here frequently for lunch over last 6 months.1 a week, the food is good the price reasonable, but the staff always treat you like their doing you a favour!,most likely won't go back for a while, the waiters forget your outside sometimes?...

Everything was magnificent...service and food. Lobster spagetti to die for and desserts were the ultimate. I am a regular..love this place.

I have lived in Maroubra for years. I use to go to this restaurant when owned by an Italian family. It is no longer the same restaurant or food. I strongly advise not to go. I was made to pay for the smallest amount of parmesan cheese. Yet in all the years of being a customer. I had never done so before. I wonder if you sit down. Must you also pay. I have been a loyal customer for years. I feel loyalty does not matter anymore. I will not return to this restaurant ever again. Remember loyalty does matter in customer service and word of mouth. You are a small restaurant. You would note to pay attention to your numerous negative feedback.

FIRST TIME..And can't fault it..Was absolutely packed and the staff were friendly and gave great service..Food was spot on..Would recommend to anyone that loves good Italian food..Well done to all involved 👌🏻..

We just ordered 3 pizza's as it was our last meal before clean eating. What a mistake!! The mince on the meatlovers smelt disgusting! We threw it out. The pizzas were not cooked well and didn't even get the anchovies on one of them that were requested. The thought of that mince being in my stomach after I ate 1 piece just before my partners dad smelt it, is now sitting in my stomach and I keep dry reaching! That's how bad it smelt when I sniffed the next piece. You guys use to be good, the change of owners is poor and definitely a loss.

Lovely place and amazing food and service. Fully recommend!!! Loved it.

We used come here all the time & loved it. Sadly last weekend will be our last.. new owners and the service is quite poor. Real shame as it was such a great place before. Won't be back for that same ramshackle experience though.

Best food, fantastic customer service. Great atmosphere would recommend to everyone. We'll be back 100% with family and friends

Very tasty food ... great coffee and service. We'll be going back :)

This is definitely one of the best Italian restaurants I have been in Sydney. From pasta to steak to salmon and barramundi all the dishes were top notch. The Creme brûlée is a must try. The staff was extremely humble and friendly and you get to dine just in front of the wood fired pizzas making it one of the best ambience for a restaurant.

A beautiful family woodfire pizzeria. Generous servings, all our dishes were amazing, but the pumpkin ravioli was DIVINE. The margherita didn't come with basil, which we had to ask for (even though it was on the menu). Service was a little lacklustre, despite it being a quiet night.

Located inside Pacific Square, Maranello’s is such a great restaurant with an extensive menu on offer. Seating area is quite spacious (indoor and outdoor). I started with coffee and it was amazing (Schibello). As for the dishes, following are the ones I recommend you to try (as I really loved them!): Zucchini flowers: filled with four cheeses, they were crisp on the outside and so cheesy on the inside. Spaghetti genovese: cooked al dente, this dish was really flavoursome.<br/>Mixed seafood pizza: yum all the way. I really loved the taste and the seafood was given generously. <br/>Their risotto and spaghetti with meatballs are also delightful.<br/>If you love coffee and ice cream, don’t miss trying their affogato. Delish!<br/>It’s worth to mention that parking in the centre is free up to 2 hours :)

During my visit to Maranello’s, We ordered the Risotto Marinara, Pizza Primavera and Spaghetti Con Polpette, <br/>You guys need to try their Risotto saahh good, perfectly cooked and tasty <br/><br/>They have a quite big indoor seating and couple outdoor seating, it was pretty busy during lunch but reallllllyy fast service 🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻<br/><br/><br/><br/>

Maranello’s is a casual Italian eatery with a pretty large & diverse menu. They’ve been serving up comfort food to the masses of Maroubra for over a decade, so we were excited to see some food coming out of a kitchen that has earned its stripes. In classic Italian hospitality, we had way too much food on the table – luckily the Maranello’s team weren’t letting anything go to waste so we all received a little takeaway box to take home and enjoy!

Maranello’s deserves five stars for lunch service! Have been here with large groups for lunch and it is always busy, so I get really impressed when they take our order and bring out our food together rather than keeping half the table waiting for their food while the other half drool over the food that is in front of them. I ordered the speghetti marinara from the lunch special menu and I was able to request for pink sauce (tomato + cream sauce) and it was delicious. They were super generous with the seafood and the pasta was cooked perfectly! I love how they bring Parmesan and chilli to your table without having to ask for it. I will be back for the pasta!

3.5/5 Maranello's is located in the Maroubra Junction of shops. It's been there for over 10 years so it has it's fair share of revisiting locals. Matt and I are joined by our foodie friends, Jackie from Does my bomb look big in this and the lovely Jay and Lachie from Eatvenures_. We start chatting away about all things food.
Does My Bomb Look Big In This
(3.5 stars)<br/> Maranellos Woodfire Pizza Restaurant and Bar forms the southern headland of a bay of casual restaurants that guard the entrance to Pacific Square. With more than nine years of serving Maroubra locals up their sleeves, and an extensive menu that’s never changed, it’s a reliable spot for a family feed; either before, or after, you take care of the weekly shop. The Maranellos team have kept the ever-tightening family budget firmly in mind too, with a three-tiered lunch specials menu that saw us eating Vitello Funghi ($14.50) for less than fifteen bucks. The tender pan-fried veal was cooked in white wine with garlic, button mushrooms and parsley. It was served with a generous and diverse amount of vegetables, including golden roast spuds. Fiori Di Zucca Ripieni ($18.90) – a dish you might know better...

Maranello’s is a taste of Italy in the heart of Maroubra Junction. A venue with plenty of seating indoor and outdoor, perfect for catering to couples, families and large groups. <br/><br/>For something light to accompany your meal I recommend the starter Latte Di Buffalo Mozzarella or the Mediterranean Salad. The perfect side to a wood fired pizza or pasta dish. <br/><br/>As per chef recommendation my companion and I ordered the Pollo Limone and the Spaghetti Genovese. <br/>The chicken was lovely, cooked perfectly and seasoned well. The pasta dish was by far the highlight cooked al dente, with fresh basil and a creamy pink sauce.<br/><br/>Aside from the food, what makes Maranello’s truly special is the heart of the staff and exceptional service. I truly enjoyed my meal at Maranello’s and cannot wait to visit again.

Pretty average dining here. The pizzas are nice as they're woodfire pizzas. The salad is average as well. They have seating in and outdoors. The staff aren't very nice or friendly, I found that they rushed us a lot. Probably wouldn't come here again.

Our local Italian restaurant that we go to when we don’t know where to go! The menu is great, it has many entree options along with a large pizza and pasta range. The gnocchi is very nice, a generous serving and the sauce is not too rich/heavy. The food is very nice, homely and generous in sizing, however is still on the pricey side. Even being a local restaurant, it could still cost close to $100 if you were to get an entree, two mains and drinks between two.

I have been here multiple times over the years. This is the best local Italian restaurant hands down. They have a large indoor and outdoor seating area (so if booking make sure to specify where you want to sit). The chicken boscaiola is my favourite dish. I've also had pastas, garlic bread, antipasto and pizza, never been disappointed with the food. Portions are also large. Only note, this place gets very busy in peak hour so you sometimes have to really flag the waiters down to come over.

They should rename this restaurant 50/ 50. One day you go in and the food is fantastic eg tender steak then the next week the steak is tough. Beautiful crepes in crepe suzette one week then the next week the crepes are as thick as two pancakes. One day a nice pizza the next it had too much tomato paste and raw pieces of garlic.
Panda Lover
The waiter recommended the pasta and supreme pizza. The pasta was quite a big portion, pizza was fresh. The pizza was above average, while the pasta was much better. Lots of ingredients! Had to takeaway. The outdoor area is perfect for dogs and the staff was so friendly, got my dog a bowl of water:) lovely place!
Allysa
Margherita pizza was delicious! The fish & chips is a must try! However, the garlic bread was average and a bit burnt. I would recommend coming here for lunch for a better price.
Enthousiaste
Calamari fritti not as nice as at the Concord location, but okay. The BBQ chicken pizza wasn't that special. The Maranello pizza was nice. We didn't choose 'authentic' flavours of pizza, but this Maranello's doesn't seem as authentic all-round, as the Concord location either? But friendly staff, prompt service and nice coffee, so still a nice venue to take a few people to.

I went there with my partner to have a quick dinner after work. It used to be a nice restaurant, not anymore!!!<br/>Bad service and poor quality food. <br/>I won't be back

Staff and atmosphere is great. A little squishy but the food makes up for it. The service is great, love the older guys in there! Very friendly! Waiting for the chocolate mouse to make a return to the board but overall pizza, pastas, rice dishes and oh everything is spot on!

Located in pacific square between the hustle and bustle of the shops and cafes you will find Maranellos Pizza. With a large indoor and outdoor seating area, getting a table is. It really too hard.<br/><br/>This is a classic Italian restaurant with plenty of pasta and pizza options to choose from. We’ve visited this location for family events quite a number of times and the general consensus were full tummy’s and happy faces.<br/><br/>Nothing overly spectacular, just good old fashioned Italian cuisine. Some of the best dishes we have sampled include the Gnocchi Sorrento, Spaghetti Puttanesca, Pollo Boscaiola and pretty much all the pizzas are good as they are cooked on a fluffy dough. To finish off we recommend the Nutella pizza it is super yummy and irresistible.

Amazing pizza's - a must have, Great ambience , Great Service - super fast sevice, Great Staff - ever smiling. Just loved it. The best place for pizza's in Maroubra. I will be back for more delicious food.

Went here for lunch after work, orderd a chicken meal and salad takeaway. Was given no plastic cutlery so i couldnt even eat it until about an hour later when i had to buy plastic knives and forks. The chicken was just covered in oil, and the cesar sald was covered in a bland mayonaise. Was basically a waste of money.

Maranello's in Maroubra seems to be busy whenever I pass by there. We went there for V-day dinner (had reservations). The restaurant was absolutely packed but that didn't seem to effect service at all. We had garlic bread for starters. And then pasta with crab and vitello saltimbucca. The veal was absolutely delicious, the sauce yum. The veggies were undercooked for my liking. The pasta was great, but not an outstanding dish.

I love their spaghetti marinara, I ordered it definitely every time when I was there. It's my must go Italian restaurant in Maroubra. Highly recommended.

Been at marancello's a few times. Food is great, service is a bit too pushy otherwise food is fresh. Had the veal snitzels very tender. The orange crepes were Devine.

i love their mexicana pizza and their chicken schnitzel!! i ordered some with my friends yesterday and it was delicious! would definitely come back again!! 8/10 recommended

Took my friend out to dinner on a Wednesday night here and it was a pleasant experience. We almost couldn't finish our pasta and a pizza, but we got there in the end haha. A nice big menu to suit your taste, as well as a good selection of drinks, and an enticing dessert menu! Would recommend a booking if you are planning to eat here on a Sat or Sun - even for a Wednesday night it looked pretty full, but we were seated promptly.

This is a regular favourite of mine! I can't count how many times I have been here, love the food and service! <br/>My favourite is the risotto genovese, with chicken.

As one of our favourite Italian restaurants, this has been a regular place for us to eat over the last two years. We've been here at least once a fortnight over the last year or so. However, with the recent change in management I am VERY sad to write that the pizza has gone from one of the best (coming from an Italian) to one of the worst. The base is now so bland and tasteless. Bring back the Mexican pizza chef - he used to make pizza like an italian! Please...

I have been going to Maranello's since they first opened up on the block, I think 5 years ago. I thought it was time for a review! I have brought many friends here to enjoy the delightful food and ambience of the place. Whether it's for a bite to eat, a few courses, or just dessert or coffee they are always accommodating and the service is really great. The same people have been waiting tables there for a very long time and they don't forget my face and are good natured and good humoured which is nice! I recommend the risotto genovese and the feta and olive bruschetta!

Located at the Pacific Square in Maroubra, the restaurant has relaxing vibe with indoor and outdoor seating area. Came in for lunch, ordered Seafood spaghetti, Chicken in white wine sauce, Salmon steak. I have to say the Prawn and Scallop spaghetti was underwhelming dish, it was very bland and boring. Chicken was tender and sauce was buttery but I can't say it was amazing. My friend ordered Salmon steak which he absolutely loved. My hubby ordered Scotch fillet which he mentioned it was over cooked.

I really like maranello's, and I have to be honest.  I've only had a couple of different types of pizzas here and only ever had the spaghetti Bolognese and it is so incredibly good.  I love it and I always get it when I'm at pacific square grocery shopping or anything.  If you like spag bol and you wanna try a really delicious flavoursome one... give the one here a try... you will not be disappointed.

This place offered the worst dining experience I have ever endured. Poor service, worse food. Go anywhere else (and I mean anywhere) for a more enjoyable meal. Rated one only because 0 was not an option.

This place is right outside Pacific Square Mall. We had the Vegetarian Pizza and Iced Coffee. A nice place to visit if you are super hungry.

Need to tidy up their act. Last Tuesday night we went to dinner at Maranello,s what a adventure !!<br/>We decided to sit out side and within 5minutes I got asked for cigarettes by two homeless people walking through the restaurant. Great. <br/>Then when we were served the waitress brought out the plates and they were dirty as if they came straight of another table with out being washed. Please don't tell me you didn't see it because they were so dirty a blind person could have seen it. <br/>I would hate to see the kitchen. <br/>Anyway we then ordered our entrees and mains and guess what came out first our mains then entrees.<br/>Overall pizza was ok but the rest of the food... well I took it home and we all know we're it ended up.<br/>We won't be going there ever again.

The last two options are suitable for vegetarians. The pizza was huge, so best to share it with friends. There was a small bowl of parmesan at the Italian restaurant, so patrons can help themselves to sprinkling parmesan atop their dish. However, Fish Monger went a little crazy with the parmesan, deciding to throw several teaspoons of parmesan all over her dish.

If you live in Maroubra Junction, or at least visited Maroubra Junction, you will not want to miss out on this amazing Italian restaurant, Maranellos. Located at the very front of Pacific Square shopping mall (where I live, yay!!), it is surrounded with glass windows, showcasing the yummiest food on people's table. Surely to make your stomach begging to be filled with Maranellos' delicious Italian cuisine. Speaking from personal experience, every time I walk pass Maranellos, I couldn't help myself but peek (and sometimes stare) at people's food, just to know what that was, and remind myself to try that on my next visit. I've been here several times, and so thankful that it is only located few steps away from where I live. All the staffs were very, very friendly and attentive, making sure that you have everything that you need. One other thing that I love is that they give a bowl of grated parmesan cheese and chilli in olive oil, on every table. I'm a sucker for parmesan cheese. I can p

There are a few Italian restaurants, pizzeria to be exact, in Maroubra Junction. Maranellos was the clear winner from the restaurant location’s perspective since this pizza restaurant is located right at the piazza of Pacific Square shopping centre.<br/><br/>Maranellos offered a great value for a lunch menu. However, there is really nothing sparkly about the dishes.

This used to be a great place with friendly atmoshpfere. Todsy I found a piece of plastic in my pasta and i returned the dish. it showed up on my bill snd I refused to pay. I was told I had to go and speak to<br/>a manager so I asked if we can see him. he never showed up at the table. they yook my pasta dish off the bill and turned their back on us not even say thank you. such an awkward situation. staff is really unfriendly and rude. I would never return.

Had a great experience, staff were friendly and meals portions were large. Would come here again. Thanks!

Great Restaurant. I was a little uncertain as to what to expect after reading other reviews. 12 of us ate there on the weekend and had a lovely dinner. The staff were very friendly, the food was lovely, the timing between courses was perfect and the price was very reasonable. I would highly recommend this restaurant - thumbs up!!

Used to be nice. Tl;dr<br/>Overpriced food<br/>Crabby manager<br/><br/>Compared to what it was like half a year ago, I wouldn't consider going to Maranello's unless you're willing to pay for overpriced food in an average setting. It definitely doesn't shine like it used to.<br/><br/>The owner was a friendly man who would work out at front, greeting you as you came in. He's no longer there, and his replacement is a dry woman with little patience. She destroys the atmosphere with her snooty attitude. Did you book a table for 6 but have an extra guest upon arrival? Well, that's not her problem - wait for another table. If you're lucky, you'll be greeted by the waiters instead.<br/><br/>Prices for their food seem to have doubled - I would say it's equal to what you'd have to pay in a decent restaurant in the city. Except you're not in the city... you're in Maroubra. $25 for a simple pasta? $20 for a medium meat pizza? Buy two meals for that price in the next suburb down, Kingsford.<br/><br/>Not worth it unless you're desperate for Italian and you have nowhere else to go.
Maroubra
Never again. We have been to marenellos a few times and I was never particularly impressed but after last Fridays experience I definitely won't be going back. The prawns I ordered were raw, and when I tried to tell the staff this they shook their head at me like I was a pain and said he would get another portion. I said I wasn't in the mood for prawns any more, so he just shrugged his shoulders and took the bowl away. When we came to pay I said to waiter I know the prawns have been taken off the bill but after that you would normally expect a gesture of goodwill, such as a glass of wine or a free dessert. After all I had eaten nothing. I won't put on here his exact response but it wasn't pleasant and then he felt the need to tell me that he is "in with the mafia" and threatened us with the police and said he was going to knock my husband out. He also said in a very sarcastic tone, I really hope you don't get sick. Horrible place, horrible man.

Dissatisfied. Booked for 8 people at 7.30pm<br/>Got there 10 minutes late and was told our table had been taken.<br/>The manager replied rudely, its too bad see you later.<br/>On other occasions we have showed up on time and have been told to sit around for 10 to 15 minutes which we did politely.<br/>Very disappointed ,never will return again !!!!!

Delicious. I have never had a bad meal at Maranello's, the food is always delicious. The service is fast and friendly and have eaten there several times now.

We went to Maranellos last night for valentines day. We were a little hesitant at first after reading some of the reviews on here, but I'm so glad we did. As soon as we walked in and met the owner, he was absolutely lovely. Our waitress who was Italian was brilliant and I couldn't speak higher of her. We had entree main and dessert and each meal was lovely. I had the bruschetta and a pasta dish (can't remember what it was called) and the sticky date and each was delicious. My partner had the garlic bread, chicken parmigiana and gelato and was very happy with it as well, and the bill came to less then a hundred dollars. Great value. The only complaint id make is that one of the waitresses/hostess was rude to us and ignored us when we first got there which was a bit odd but as soon as another waiter saw us he was awesome and sorted us out straight away. Also, we tried to tip our waitress because she did such a good job, but it had to go in the communal tip jar and we wanted her to have it. Anyway will definitely be back! Great night :)

Went there for valentines for dinner there was 5 of us and lucky we booked it was packed anyway lamb in the oven with veggies was the best mouth watering lamb just melted in your mouth the 4 of us had it my wife had lemon chicken with veggies and dessert was great too to summons it it was great it was our third time going and now we've found our restaurant the price was good the portions worth the value should go and try it.

Great value, great food. The atmosphe in the restaurant was comfortable and the menu has a great selection of food.<br/>The value for money is worth it the portions are great and well presented on the plate you leave there with no room to eat anything else I would recommend it to go and try it.<br/>Until next time.
Katie
Great!. Great food and service!<br/><br/>Would highly recommend anyone wanting a great lunch or dinner!

Music far too loud. I was at Maranello's Maroubra last night 19/12/13, it was packed. The food was good however the music far far too loud, you could not hear the waiter telling us what specials were available. When I go out to dinner I like to have a conversation with the friends I am with. This was impossible last night. We asked at least four times to have the music turned down,it was but then it was turned up again. Don't think I will be going back.

Maranello's Maroubra Junction. The place was overcrowded, the dish we ordered wasn't available and when we made the head waiter aware his reply was that he works 12hrs a day and didn't have time for this. Charming. Queens Park Pizza at Pagewood is a much better & friendlier option.
Anne Karamihos
Five of us went today for lunch. Greek salad was from day before (you could tell as the tomatoes were so soggy from yesterdays dressing), garlic bread was burnt to charcoal and the lasagne was swimming in sauce to mask the uncooked tasteless lasagne. We told waiter the salad should not be served to people and the mains were not eaten and they didnt even ask if there was a problem with the food . Just took plates away and gave us the bill. Paid fully for uneaten sloppy terrible food. Angelo should be very careful!! You see we own restaurants too and we were digusted with food. Never again angelo!! Youve seen the back of us forever now my dear boy. What a shame your name is getting rubbished by trying to be smart by selling people yesterdays garbage. Thank god we have a fantastic reputation in our shops and always will. You see angelo, if you wont eat the food then you shouldnt serve it to paying customers buddy!!!!

Very bad service. Thursday night I took my mum to this restaurant with my family as we love their pizza. Unfortunately as we were with a pram we were treated like pain. We couldnt get a nice table (half of the restaurant was empty) instead we were seated in the entrance where it is very windy and basically really on the way of everything. With 3 months old baby and 5 year old child we were really disappointed but accepted to sit wherever they put us. But then when my mum couldn't bear the noise she wanna to move outside. Baby was also very unsettled so we tried to explain and politely asked to be seated on the corner space outside. While they were ok with it the 2nd waitress' behaviour and how she kept saying " that's all I can do" 5 items in a row inside outside to the others was really embarrassing. As she put us too close to one of the other diners even though I was trying to warn her she didn't listen and said "that's all what I can do".. I thought ok didn't repeat and tried to fit my daughter to the space they provided to us. While doing that my daughter accidentally hit the chair of the next diners. another waitress came and tried to tell her off as if she did it on purpose. I warned the guy that I am about to leave if they keep on treating us that way.. instead of being helpful he started complaining about me to the other customer. It was unbelievable. Definitely not professional. Their job is to make me satisfied instead they tried to make me feel guilty. Shortly They ruined our night I don't think I will ever go there again ever. I still get goose bumps when I think about that night.
Jane
PLASTIC in pizza. I had dinner at Maranello's on Georges River Rd last night and there was a piece of plastic in the pizza the size of a 5 cent coin. We notified the waitress, no apology was given, no amendment to bill, nothing. We were regular customers, dining regularly at the concord restaurant, ordering takeaway and will never return again.
Horibop_amiz
Good food! Great lunch specials!. I dined here the other day was surprised that they were selling this type of food for a good price, it was really nice, I had the spinach and cheese cannelloni and my friend had the chicken breast with a garlic sauce and veggies, we also shared halloumi cheese, which was my favourite, it tasted delicious and they also had great service, will be going back for sure!!!
Sarah
LOVE it! Have only been once but can't wait to go again. The service was amazing, even though it was busy we were well looked after. The atmosphere was great, reminded me of what I can imagine a typical Italian household would be. Lots if noise and laughter. One of the waiters suggested we try the deep fried zucchini flowers and they were amazing! My fiance is very fussy and he loved them too. Very decent sized meals. He had the eye fillet and I had the seafood pasta, both delicious. Couldn't fault the place! No wonder they are always busy.
Arline
Worst service ever. The waiters rushed us so much - we were rushed not only to order but also they asked us several times if we had finished eating despite us still having quite full dishes. The caucasian guy clearly has discrimination issues - he was very rude - was on the phone for a long time while we were waiting to pay and he just snapped "It's not my problem these people have questions" at us while we were waiting patiently. The only good side was that the food was alright and there was one good waiter - the asian boss but apart from these the service was so horrible!

The garlic crust is a must! .... The garlic crust is a must!<br/>Really good Italian food! Tasty and great service :)<br/>Definitively a place to be on a Friday night, for date night.
Julia
Great pizza and pasta, child friendly but not too noisy with $10 kids menu. All in all a great experience!
Chloe
Chloe. I go to Maranellos frequently and and the staff and management are all very polite and helpful.and the service is good. The food is delicious especially the cheese garlic pizza which i highly recommend. The restaurant has really good ambience and good value for money as portions are generous. I would would highly recommend Maranellos. You must book if you go on a Friday night or Saturday as by 7.30 pm I have always found it to be full;

Worst Restaurant Experience Ever. We went to Maranello's on Saturday night and were shocked at the treatment we received by the owner - Angelo. From the outset it was clear that the staff were trying to rush us - three different staff members came to ask for our order within 5 minutes of us sitting down.<br/> <br/>After our meal, Angelo put the bill on the table and announced that we had to leave as there was another booking. He walked off and didn't wait for our reply. Too bad if we had wanted dessert and coffee! We paid our bill and were walking out of the restaurant when he pushed past both of us. When my husband asked if he could let me through he said, "I'm here to make money, not friends". When we pulled him up on his rude behaviour his reply was - "I don't care - I'm a millionaire."<br/><br/>This type of treatment from the owner of a restaurant leaves a very bad taste in the mouth. We cannot warn people strongly enough to stay away from this place.

Awsome food and exceptional service. I decided to go to Maranellos after it was voted one of NSW's top 100 restaurants by Urban Spoon. I found the food was just amazing...The Zuchini flowers were to die for and the Napolitana Pizza's was delicious. My partner ordered the Chicken Prima with Avacodo and prawns with a rose sauce and loved it. We were glad we booked for a Saturday night as the restaurant was full and they were struggling to find tables for people waiting outside without a reservation. For dessert we were recommended the Honeycomb icecream sandwich and we are still dreaming about it....Service was attentive and fun. We will definately be back!
