Review Chilled Out Thai Maroubra - Maroubra

A little bit more expensive than the other Thai places, but food is tasty and good quality. Duck is always crispy and juicy. Delivery is usually pretty quick.

First time we were here on a weekday! Awesome food and service! Second time - 1 hour waiting time on a Saturday (8pm) While we were patiently waiting for our food, 2 groups of drunk and loud customers were respectively shouting and laughing at the top of their lungs. It was so loud that my family and myself were no longer sure if we were in a restaurant or a busy pub. Also, 1/2 of the menu was unavailable (e.g. green curry and all types of vegetable) - like a lot of the other reviews have suggested. Overall, food is recommended but the long waiting time and the loud environment can ruin the whole dining experience. Many food delivery drivers came and picked up food while we were waiting - i would try ordering delivery rather than eating-in next time!!

the BBQ chicken and thai friend rice was awesome. it was very quiet when we went on Saturday lunch time, because I think most people don't know they open at lunch time. I saw a lot of delivery people come and go for the menulog orders. happy with the service and the dish.

If I could rate these people a zero I would. We, a group of 6, get there at 645pm and order by 7. Only two other tables are there before us. Waited till 8 while three new other big group tables get their food first. Tried to order from the drinks menu, but waitress serving us didn't understand coconut water, so she had to go back to the kitchen and ask. The only thing available on a half page drinks menu was coke apparently. Not even any kind of tea. So, to ALDI I went to buy some drinks for the table. Out of 6 dishes ordered, only 2 were of any level to be considered edible. Never ever coming here again.

Amazing food. I'm a regular eater here and i can definitely say this place makes some of the best Thai food I've had in a long time. I'm absolutely flabbergasted that there are so many 1 stars. Brilliant place. Brilliant food.

Ridiculously expensive and the food is average. $15.50 for a pad Thai or stir fry without rice ($3 extra) is extortion. Better off trying the place next door which may not have aesthetically pleasing decor but is $4+/meal cheaper!! Such a rip.

We order the Penang regularly, it’s delicious. We’ve come to realise, you can’t place an order on the phone. They all really struggle with there English. So if you want the correct order...order through Uber eats!

These guys have delivered incorrect orders twice now. When we called to get the correct dishes sent the first time they charged $3 for the inconvenience and the second time they just didnt show up. This restaurant isnt worth the stress they cant even get the orders right and whats more they dont care about customer service. THUMBS DOWN

I was in Maroubra Junction and keen for some dinner. A mate had suggested this place, so I decided to check it out.A large restaurant on Maroubra Rd across from Pacific Square shopping centre. The restaurant is dimly lit and decorated to the Thai theme.<br/> A little bit on the pricey side for Thai food. The service is good and the food is great. I love roti and was stoked to see it on the menu. I ordered a delicious yellow curry with duck. A very nice curry, great flavour and tasty charred BBQ duck. The roti was great for dipping into the yellow curry.<br/>Good service and great food. Check it out.<br/>

This restaurant make really amazing Pad Cha Seafood. For vegetarian option their Shiitake mushroom with Tofu is nice as well. I always request my Papaya salad very spicy they don't seem to make it so, although it's nice it's never spicy enough for me. They have good entree varieties but I am not a fan of their Curry Puffs - I found the pastry to be too thick and not fluffy.

Can't fault it. The curry puffs were so good I forgot to take a photo. The yellow curry and stir fried satay noodle were outstanding. Great staff, great price.

Consistently good. Have been here a few times both dine in and takeaway. Always Delicious thanks

Disappointed. Terrible service for home delivery! Ordered through menu.log still waiting for order after a hour. I spoke to the manager who said they were very busy & would be another hour wait. I cancelled my order only for it to be delivered nearly 3 hours after the order was placed. This is the second time this has occurred. Will never order food from this restaurant again.

I'm a regular here both dining in and take away. Service is always good and food is also yummy. Plum duck is delicious. Highly recommended.

Disgusting fish cakes. Yuk curry puffs<br/>Horrible yellow curry.<br/>Dried up,hard roti. And for what they charge per appetizer and main there's no value. Yellow curry is almost $16 and there was two pieces of chicken in it and one potatoe.

Everything in this place is yummy, fresh and served by great people! Came here out of the blue one day because it looked descent... And now I'm addicted! Such easy, quick good food!
