Review Thai Brown Rice - Maroubra

Kevin
Great tasting Thai with a great selection of fresh vegetables in the dishes. Definitely no frozen veggies at this place! The $10 Lunch special is unbeatable. My favourites are the beef salad & chicken larb. This is small and family run with friendly service and fantastic food. Good if you are alone, in a small group or simply takeaway.

Highly recommend... ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ My girlfriend and I went to this cozy easy place. I don’t know how and where to start.. this place deserves 10/10, starting from the service and ending with the food 🥘. The owner was so gentle and polite the food was delicious smell 🤤 and tasty meat 🥩 😋 fresh veggies and cheap prices. I will go back to that place every time I can.

Nice curry and rice with your choice of beef or chicken. Good price! No msg added. Free home delivery if more than $30. Be there at the lucky number, 2/888 Maroubra rd, Maroubra, opposite to the Pacific Square. 😅

Cute little place with a personalised service (even if it can be a little slow at times). Their Laksa is especially nice - add lots of chilli on a cold evening to really warm things up haha!

Just had the most beautiful meal from this restaurant. Considering the ridiculous number of various Thai restaurants in the area, it's hard to pick one that's great. I've tried just about every one and can say with confidence this one is the best. It's also by far the cheapest and best value for money. Rice with peanut sauce for only $5 is a definite standout. Easily enough for at least 2 people and is an amazing vegetarian (possibly vegan?) option even on its own. I had it with crispy chicken green curry which was just perfect. Looking forward to trying all the other dishes from this awesome restaurant!

Never again. Food arrived cold and missing a dish. When I phoned up to advise, the response from the presumed owner (older guy) was bizarrely rude which I noticed to be mentioned in other reviews. It was implied we could just be saying that one of the dishes is missing in order to get a freebie...! Such a weird takeaway experience - good luck retaining your customers.

Sad experience here, came because of the good reviews, we were the only ones in there but felt like they were cooking just for deliveries, the person serving us could not understand well what we wanted, ordered a fried rice, the only one listed without egg, and came with egg and no cashew, they did not charge for it, but still when I asked why has egg if is not listed in the menu? the answer was that all fried rice comes with egg, when this one did not listed as an ingredient as the others did and as for the cashews they said they had run out. The red curry was not tasty and the tofu not fresh. The Tom Yum was so salty we had to also return it, to which he said, everyone eats it, I work in the service industry and if a customer is not happy, is not happy, don't mention everyone else.Appreciate them not charging for it as I do not eat egg but still, was not a good experience to visit this restaurant. The worst part is that in a good way I mentioned this to the owner to avoid posting it online, but he did not take the issue with a good attitude.

<br/>Ordered the chicken pad Thai from Uber eats. Worst Thai restaurant ever. Chicken is over cooked and noodles were not good. Just a tired dish wouldn’t recommend this place
