Review No Names - Maroubra

Booked a table for 20 last minute and they found us a spot for us no problems. Huge restaurant and it gets packed but didn't stop the staff from smashing out the service super quick. Staff were super friendly and happy to help where they could. The food was just like the no names we all love. There's a big play area for the kids which they all loved. Overall great experience, exactly what we wanted, will definately be going back!

What's your view of "it is what it is"? I mean, I get the whole "things are not what they seem", but thats pretty rare in restaurants. It's true that the good places, put on a show...makeup, lighting and a dance to lure you into a positive mindset to enjoy a meal that has about 25pc of the price spent on the actual produce you're chomping on. No names at erskineville bowlo is pretty much in the what you see, you get camp. The food comes just long enough after you order it, for them to have actually cooked to order. The fish and salad in picture (i subbed my chips for more salad...gotta watch my dress size), comes with their long loved crusty white bread and (for some reason) lurpak butter. $19.50 is a pretty good deal, despite the fact that at this price, its farmed (probably thai) barramundi. The other plates looked predictably 1983 good pub food...big portions and cheap. It is what it is.

If you're looking for a hearty meal that merges traditional pub food and Italian, this is the place to be. Always go the combo meal, you won't be disappointed.

Never have a been served such a sorry excuse for a schnitzel. The cheese is literally just a plastic cheese single. The pasta is the blandest rubbish imaginable. They know they are serving inedible slop as when I walked past the kitchen staff eating their dinner it was clearly not from the menu as it look alright. I would be embarrassed to serve what they did to someone.

Food has always been simple and amazing and the staff were beautiful. We came in 20 minutes before they closed and still served us.

This was atrocious, I was the first to order out of my group of 13 tonight (also ordered a smaller portion of food) and I was made to wait 55minutes before receiving my food. Not only that I was not asked if I wanted a drink nor scoop of ice-cream while I waited! Not only was the slop poor but the service was horrible the black fella bringing out our food had no idea what he was doing and had about as many braincells as the parmi he brought me. Overall poor experience i will not be returning to this establishment

Love going to this No Names Italian Restaurant! As a kid, I grew up with one in Darlinghurst and it tastes just the same! The food is fresh and fast at a reasonable price. It's in the Erskineville Bowling club and they do take away. The atmosphere is a bowling club in regional NSW and you don't feel you are 5 minutes away from the trendy Swanson street! Definitely worth a trip!

The food was totally below average- cheap chicken schnitzel and fish!. The whole experience was poor.

Went to the new venue in Maroubra and was very happy. We got exactly what we expected from having been to the old venue in Darlinghurst. Solid, Italian, tasty, traditional food without frills. I got the veal schnitzel which gives you 2 large pieces which were nice with a crispy coating. My husband got the spaghetti bolognese which he enjoyed. It's exactly what No Names is known for. Will definitely go back.

Best in Sydney!!!! I tried Leichhardt last night whose owners say they're the originals at Darlinghurst and Bondi wins hands down!!! Combos are twice the size (I can't usually finish and have for lunch/snack the next day!!), $5 cheaper and you still get your free salad. Taste is still delicious too!!
