Seated immediately after arriving with the staff very helpful. Menu was easy to follow with plenty of options. Food was fantastic but the coffee was even better. Fresh and robust
Had the Rosti Benedict with Tasmania salmon. Was amazing. Staff is friendly. Music is good pick too. Would definitely recommend to friends and come again. (140 character is so annoying!)
We were visiting Sydney, from Melbourne, and we're looking for good coffee. We found it here! I had the big breakfast and downed it all, it was so good. The woman, with short dark hair, who served us was a gem! She was kind enough to let us take an umbrella because it was raining heavily. Overall a nice little place!

Update: Visited again and was not disappointed. Terrific food again, amazing coffee (tried both single origin offerings). Yum, yum, yum. The first time was not just a lucky occurrence!

First of all, let me say: my partner is not a coffee drinker. He will sip my long black and pass judgement (and is surprisingly good at it), but he doesn't enjoy it. Not the case here. One sip of my long black and we were calling over the waitress for another.
Then, the food came out. Wow. Absolutely delicious, delicious, delicious. Smashed avo with poached eggs, yum. And the green salad with salmon and avocado, wow! Blown away by this charming warehouse cafe, and will be back again and again.
PS That amazing long black, not even a single origin! Just their (very reasonably priced) house blend.
Lots of seating available with friendly staff. I ordered the barra tacos and my god were they good. The fish was cooked to perfection and the salsa had just the right amount of kick in it 👌🏻

Love the set up and the atmosphere of the cafe. It was very unique and you can tell they’re into their coffee. The cold drip was so good. It was strong and had a little sweetness to it that I really enjoyed. The Potato & Herb pancakes were so good that it left me wanting more. Tacos are a little lacking in flavour. Maybe ask for some avocado to help bring it together.
Good service and delicious food! The cold drip coffee was nice and strong and I recommend it for the coffee lovers. We ordered the potato pancakes (special), coffee beef brisket and the smoked chorizo and squid salad. All the dishes were full of flavor and nicely portioned. You could really taste the coffee in the brisket and the pinch of spice was a nice touch. The potato pancakes were bursting with flavour, but the poached egg was undercooked with both the egg white and yoke pouring out.
Overall a really good place to eat lunch!
Yum ! Another cafe with actually tasty food. Cute old and rustic vibe. We ordered the pasta special and the beef brisket. Both were super flavourful and hearty. Serving size was also large and filling. Coffee here was good as well. Service was friendly and efficient. Would love to return to try more dishes.

The piccolo has a very smooth flavor. The Croque Monsieur is basically a ham and cheese toasty on cheese steroids! Smashingly delicious!!! Every bit of flavour mouthgasms you.
The big breakfast is all fresh all delish! Get the poached eggs for some stunning yolkporn! The nutella french toast is a banana bread french toast, thick cut, soft, sweet and pure crack!
The service is quick, friendly and the barista shimmies while making coffee. Be ready for a day sprawled out on the couch in food coma. Or be boring like the date on the table next to us and share one dish! Actually, don't... you'll regret it!
I have been to this cafe several times now and each time it has been exceptional. Great food, fantastic, efficient service, friendly staff, great coffee & great value. The coffee is strong & well made. Babycino comes with a big fluffy marshmallow. Food is fresh, beautifully presented & made well. Loves the Nutella French toast which is decadent but not overly so. Big breakfast has a taste of everything especially if you don't know what you want & such a good hearty meal. The bowls/salads are not at all boring or bland & os healthy & tasty. Eggs are well made both poached or scrambled. I love the potato rosti & paired with summery squash, zucchini & asparagus, makes this such a spring/summer dish. All thumbs up.
One of the best coffees in town! Only if you love your coffee strong and I do! The food was delicious and caters to all palates! We ordered the potato rosti and the big breakfast and it did not disappoint. My husband devoured his once it hit the table. Everything was cooked well. Service was great too. We would come back here for sure!

I got the bruschetta and jasmine got the duck confit benedict. It was a good portion and reasonably cheap.
Every component comes together nicely for the bruschetta, unfortunately one piece of bread is stale. However, the glaze the pesto and tomatoes was a perfect combination.
Jasmine’s duck confit benedict was very enjoyable too. The hollandaise sauce was delicious, but she thought the duck could taste a bit more like duck :P
Friends ordered chicken burger and what a huge plate! Apparently the mozzarella was heavenly.
Food: value for money! Portion is huge for the price charged and trust me it's really yummy and super filling!! Fully satisfied

Late afternoon stop off after a long hard day at work to be greeted by a warm and welcoming staff. For a late afternoon they were so cheerful and friendly which made the travel to Wicks park cafe worth the traffic. Food was very prompt even with a full afternoon house and well prepared but nothing special. Coffee was also well made.

This place ticked all the boxes for me. Too often people underestimate the importance of fresh produce and simple but well balanced flavours, but not here. Everything on my plate complimented one another, everything was presented well and tasted amazing. Great coffee, great value for portion size, convenient parking and nice ambience, cannot ask for much more really (except maybe one more loo). Overall my high expectations were definitely met!

It’s always nice to get a pleasant surprise when you get to sample so many of the city’s very best cafes. Wicks Park Café is one such surprise, in a Sydney suburb that has quickly gained a reputation as a benchmark for quality coffee and food. Marrickville is drawing café devotees to its magnetic foodie offerings, and Wicks Park Café is making that pull all the stronger.
Friendly service and a bustling atmosphere. I had the smashed avo with a poached egg and halloumi. The avo was generous in its serving and very fresh - I really enjoyed this simple meal. My only complaint is that my side of halloumi was either overcooked or not served quick enough as it was rubbery so I couldn't eat it. Coffee 👌
Lovely cafe on the corner of Victoria Road and across from Wicks Park. We've visited before just for coffee and returned today to try out their lunch menu, ordering the beef burger, lamb shoulder baguette and granola bowl.
Our meals didn't take long at all (perfect since Loz only had an hr lunch break) and food was delicious! Beef burger was full of flavour, lamb baguette was delicious (and huge) and the granola was a perfect snack. Coffee is great here, they serve single origin beans and I really enjoyed my cold drip. Also love the little token spoons that come with the coffee!
Lots of seating both inside and out and service is top notch. Menu is well priced too so we defs recommend trying this place out.

Exceptional coffee and efficient service. Food was good, but not exceptional - and the menu could have been more unique and a greenish breaky option would have been perfection.
The big breakfast here was delicious. It came with everything you would want in it, especially the hash browns. The salmon and eggs was really fresh too. The coffee was good, and they come with cute little token spoons!
Tasty food, awesome coffee, good prices and super friendly service.

Use to be my local when it was known as Double Roasters but it's been a while since my last visit. The cafe looks basically the same and the menu seemed not to have changed but there's an unusual feel of difference. Food is still good and can't complain about the coffee but something's missing.

Previously known as Double Roasters, Wicks Park Cafe is a coffee institution in Marrickville serving up good coffee and food.
We arrived shortly past 11 to a very busy and packed cafe but luckily a table quickly freed up and we were able to be seated. The cafe remained mostly busy for the time that we were there, with many people coming for brunch or stopping by for a takeaway coffee.
The menu is quite extensive, presenting us with the tough task of deciding what to order. I flitted between the breakfast baguette (chorizo! egg! hash brown!) and the corn fritters but ultimately M ordered the baguette, so I ordered the fritters. M also ordered the Tim Tam milkshake so that I could further live through her vicariously as I sipped on my healthier mango smoothie. W stuck to his usual flat white and salad.
I am often skeptical about ordering corn fritters, fret with worry that they won't live up to the standard of bills and leaving me disappointed. Thankfully, this was not the case at Wicks Park Cafe and the fritters were very satisfying. They were crispy on the outside, but soft and warm and sweet on the inside. The avocado salsa and fresh cream complemented the fritters well, giving them a bit of a Mexican flavour, and there was just enough rocket to make them feel healthy without becoming excessive. I think they could have been more generous with the smoked salmon but I understand that it is pricey. Overall, I would happily order these fritters again if I wanted something filling yet light.
M seemed quite pleased with her baguette, although it was a little difficult to eat. Her Tim Tam milkshake, on the other hand, had two Tim Tams in it and was quite sweet so it took some effort to finish, especially as M isn't into super sweet foods (although she loves chocolate...). W struggled to finish his salad, which was a huge serving and definitely the dish to order if you are feeling ravenous, which we all were when we first sat down but were absolutely stuffed when we walked out.
Great place for breakfast/lunch in Marrickville! Their double roasters coffee is really nice, and the fact they serve almond milk is a huge plus! Their food options are great, and portion sizes are quite generous and well presented. The staff are pretty friendly also, making it a great way to start the morning!
While looking for a brunch place on Easter Friday, my friend found this place and we decided to go in. The setting reminded me a bit of Brewtown Newtown.
I went with the French Toast with a side of bacon and my friend had the croque monsieur with added poached egg.
The French Toast bread was almost like banana bread. I like the banana, pistachios, berries and maple syrup that came with it. The orange ricotta was pleasant & the ice cream was alright but didn't really complement the dish. Bacon was decent.
As for the croque monsieur, the black forest smokehouse ham & triple cheese really stood out with deep strong flavors.
Chanced upon this cafe on our way to Bourke Street bakery in Marrickville. Cool cafe with friendly staffs. We had french toast and triple cheese croque monsieur with poached egg (so not really croque madame). The triple cheese in croque monsieur was too heavy for me though my friend quite enjoyed it. The bread of the french toast is similar to banana bread, interesting but flavour was ordinary.
What a great place! The service here is so friendly and hospitable. Known for Double Roasters coffee and it was so nice! I had Croque Monsieur with an extra fried egg which made it a Croque Madame, Iced Coffee, and Cold Drip. The food was so tasty and great placed for a relaxed brunch as you can hang around for a bit and the staff make you feel welcome.

While Wicks Park has a focus on coffee (Double Roasters), there is certainly no disappointment in the food department either. I enjoyed the kale salad with goats cheese, smoked salmon, dates, almonds etc. and every mouthful was a joy to eat. My friends ordered the burger ("just a burger", unfortunately, but the fries were crunchy-pillowy-potatoy yumness) and the field mushrooms on toast (delightful!). We shared three long blacks in order to sample the two single origins and the house blend, and all were outstanding. Service was friendly, fast and attentive but not out-of-the-way as I would have liked at such a fine place as this!
Great place in the back streets of Marrickville. You can sit outside in a side alley which is cool but inside is also nice, well spaced out and not to noisy. The service is top notch very quick but not rushed, all the staff are friendly and very accommodating to dietary needs. They altered my meal for me with no problems at all. Disappointed the waffles were off the menu but were replaced with an amazing French toast option. We also got the mushrooms they were delicious with great flavour. They use a yummy seeded gluten free bread and barista blend almond milk!!! Presentation is also a plus for those who love a good food pic of two!
Would definitely recommend and will be going back for sure.
Food is delicious. Coffee is consistently good. Thought about trying other cafes near by haven't. Why would you when the service is spot on and the coffee is perfect! Their jams are amazing. Strawberry and Aniseed is to die for!

Who knew this was hiding in Marrickville! A scrumptious cafe with super prompt service; it was a pleasure to dine here.
I arrived a little earlier than my friends and despite there being a few seats left, I decided to put our names down for a table for 3 at 10am. The hostess was friendly and took down my details with no hassles. My friends arrived, we went back to the cafe and were seated immediately.
We ordered some fresh juices (apple, orange and mint) which were refreshing and plentiful. For the food, we grabbed the seasoned field mushrooms, the avocado and eggs, and a haloumi/egg roll. These were swiftly, and I mean it, SERIOUSLY swiftly delivered to our table; within 5-7 minutes of ordering!!!
And just like the drinks, the food was also served in generous portions. Yuuuum!
Such a seamless dining experience, I have to go back during this amazing Summer, I just have to! It's also great that the cafe is right next to a bike shop (for all you cycling people out there looking for some eye candy post morning bike ride ;P).
Claps to all the cafes that do all day brekky. I had the croque Monsieur and it was heavenly. They put the white sauce on top instead of inside like most places do and it was super tasty. Better than the Bourke at bakery croque Monsieur which is around the corner in my opinion. The service was great too which is always nice. I would definitely come again if I'm in the area.
Better than your average cafe,came here and tried the pork burger which was good and a nice change to pulled pork burgers which seem to be the trend arm. The pumpkin soup is better than any canned soup you can get,the service was polite and friendly though when we asked if we get our own water,the waitress said she'll get it for us but forgot,food came out at a reasonable rate,ambience wise it's a little cold inside,prices can add up when you have add ons to your salad or corn fritters,which can make it costly
My main issue with this place is parking,not easy to find on such a busy intersection

Used to come here weekly. Such a great little laid back cafe in the middle of Marrickville. Staff are friendly and food is delicious. Must order dish is the Kale and Chicken Salad!

There all sorts of other sweet treats in the cake cabinet and I loved that their freshly baked muffins were only $3 - so cheap compared to other muffins in cafes across Sydney. If you are after a meal some items on the menu include Croque Monsieur, zucchini and ricotta fritters with house cured ocean trout, and smashed avo sprinkled with crumbled fetta, dukkah and lemon on sourdough.
After much deliberation I went for the corn and zucchini fritters with avocado mash and rocket, one of the specials. My sis had the juicy mushrooms on sourdough. Both were delish! Really generously sized servings, beautifully presented and packed full of flavour.

Bunch of cluey locals here. They put the signage on a pair of stepladders and rather appropriate. sunflowers, exposed insulation, big beams, vintage furniture. Its all rather nice. This is a great cafe. mushroom on toast. Good. $8.50 double smoked bacon, poached egg and toast. Decent. We left the cafe being very satisfied with our meal and will definitely return when we are in the area. The staff were friendly, the atmosphere was casual and relaxed, the food came out quickly and everything was value for money.
Double Roasters looks right at home amongst the original signage of the mechanics and warehouses on Victoria Road, Marrickville. A design concious mix of dark walls, stainless steal fittings and old school farmhouse paraphernalia; it’s clear most of the quirky Double Roasters decor is thanks to the second hand stores from the Marrikville area. Started by three coffee geeks, Double Roasters seems to have mastered laid-back professionalism in retro chic surroundings with a satisfying menu and some banging coffee.
Overall, funky, friendly and with some magnificent coffee (not to mention some of the food going past), this newbie to the area is going to make a killing to one of the most exciting coffee regions in the Sydney Landscape.
On the downside there are no highchairs for the hipster babies (though there are colouring books - tick) and the service can be a little erratic when they're busy. All is forgiven though for luscious poached eggs and sauted mushrooms totally hitting the Sunday brunch-lusting spot.
The menu looks good. Prices are more than reasonable with sandwiches (roast pork belly, poached chicken) at $7.50 and nothing on the breakky menu for more than $12.00. I note that they use Sonoma bread and the much-praised bonsoy soy milk – ticking two boxes straight up. Bro orders the roast pork belly sandwich and I go for the brekkie special – Zucchini and corn fritters with avocado salsa, rocket and a poached egg.

For a while now we have been passing by a cafe called Double Roasters , intrigued by its exterior we have often said "we must pop in". Today is the day we do. We actually live only about 5 minutes away from Double Roasters, so have no idea why it has taken us this long to visit. Well, we did make an attempt a few weeks ago, but the cafe was packed and we weren't up to waiting for a table. So up at the crack of dawn, we are sure this early hour will reward us with a table at this very popular Marrickville cafe. The cafe isn't huge, so understand why it fills up so quickly, but we score a table relatively easily. It is a comfortable space, with that warehousey, industrial feel that we love. We order a cup each of single origin, terroir specific coffee (fantastic by the way) and look over the small, but delicious sounding menu.
Impressive. Very impressed by the great coffee and food served there. I was in Marrickville a few days ago and was worried about the lack of places to dine in, found this cafe on the corner and I have to say it definitely exceeded my expectation. The coffee was smooth and food is clever and innovative. Service was friendly and fast, hardly had to wait. Love their creamy croque monsieur and pork belly sandwich. Love the old warehouse open environment (very cosy), plenty of newspapers to read, this place is definitely worth a visit.

Great experience!. Headed here on a cold April day for a very late breakfast (1pm) - was told it was a 5-10 minute wait for the two of us by a friendly waiter. 9 minutes later we were seated and ordered coffees straight away - great coffee arrived within minutes but not before we were asked for our food order. Sadly my first choice of croque monsier was bumped due to no ham (I was asked if bacon was ok.. And I declined in a croque monsier) and instead chose the bacon and egg roll. Foodieboy chose the corn fritters and we were both very happy with our choices. For me the highlight was the 'homemade BBQ sauce/relish' that was on the roll. Only downside was they cleared foodieboy's plate before I was finished (massive pet peeve for me). We saw none of the attitude written in other reviews - so either it was a good day or they've smartened up?! I'll come back for that croque monsier soon on a day the ham hasn't run out. Also got a coffee takeaway as I was leaving and was of just a high standard.

Superb Coffee. This place makes really good coffee. I almost missed the place whilst driving down Victoria Road towards Enmore. The place is a converted factory and it's very warm with nice interiors. I ordered the baked beans with poached eggs with chorizo which was delicious. We also ended up splurging on a peanut butter brownie for takeaway (YUM)...The place has their own blend of coffee which simply divine!
Dont underand why its so popular. I been here a couple of times and simply don't understand why this place is so popular. Its expensive, the coffee is below average. Had the much hyped pork sandwich, nice flavors but very fatty, its beyond me why they would slather a sandwich with fatty pork belly with mayonnaise, left me feeling very queasy.
Terrific local cafe. I have friends who live in the area who love this joint, and after one visit I can see why. It is very reasonably priced, and wonderful value at that, and serviced by friendly staff. It's a great looking space with cute details, and the range of vegetarian options on the menu is great appreciated. I had the egg and bacon roll, which was perfect, especially given that I don't usually like poached eggs, and my 2 skim lattes were both perfect. My best friend had the avocado mash and two piccolos, also excellent.
I will be coming back here very soon, Marrickville locals are so very lucky with this beautiful little place.
Love this cafe! Although the immediate thrill of its arrival has now settled down, the place is still booming! The select and few items on the menu are all delicious and well priced. Having tried almost everything on the menu, I can promise you, you won't be disappointed (I swear by the roast pork belly sandwich)!! The customer service is also really good- despite bad reviews, it is clear that the friendly and inviting staff are always working hard and willing to go the extra mile to ensure a good experience for the customer! Our waitress was particularly helpful in double checking on orders in the kitchen when she had seen they had not arrived yet (it was a busy Saturday morning, we were not complaining). Not to mention the coffee, yum! Couldn't sum it up any better. Highly recommend this place! Everyone deserves a second chance!
