Review Georgia's Kitchen - Marrickville

Friendly FOH service although was a bit of a wait for the food (busy lunchtime). Food was yummy and good value. We have 2 small kids and they enjoyed the food too

Incomprehensible opening hours. Close whenever they feel like it. Google and their opening hours say they're open to 3pm today, but nope. Closed and barred. 3pm close the other day but barring the door at 213. I've given up going there. Coffee ok, (If you can get in the door) but they're slow baristas

Food tasted like fish. Everything is cooked in the same oil the fish is which makes everything. They got order wrong, put the sides on the burger🤢. Too fishy

Had an amazing night with friends. Great Persian dish and amazing service. Definitely suggest to go to...

Orchid kitchen is my favourite cafe, that i have been coming to regularly for the last two years. Not only is the food truly exquisite. As a vegetarian i am really impressed by the range, among the meat dishes. Every vegetarian dish is very tasty& filling, the atmosphere is warm, inviting & spacious. Most of all the staff’s friendliness make you want to keep coming back.

I was really sad to see Georgia go as I loved her food, however the new staff and menu have completely out done themselves I find myself all week looking forward to my Saturday morning breakfast and coffee. Very affordable, lovely staff and out of this world coffee/hot chocolates. Just had there big breakfast this morning and feel I have to roll out of the restaurant Im so full. Cannot fault these guys great job. 😁

Place is pretty good, good coffee, breakfast and desert in my experiences here. Have enjoyed a great breakfast here would be my highlight. Tx

One of the best most satisfying breakfasts I have had in a long time! I had the veggie stack (toast, avo, tomatoe, feta, mushroom, caramelised onions and balsamic) with a side of bacon - and one of them the smoothest best coffees I have ever had! Reasonably priced and friendly attentive service! Ive just moved and this joint is just downstairs so I will be a regular for sure! Can't wait to try lunch and dinner!! The outside facade is grey and a bit drab by day but it's lovely inside, don't judge this gem by its cover :)

My friend and I were wondering where should we attend for a good Sunday brekkie, we thought we would attend here since we're locals from the area. Well, what a wrong choice this was. RUDE service, wow! How can you own a business or even work here if you're going to treat your customers like they're nothing. Coffee was average a bit bitter. Breakfast was sort of ok, except my friend asked to swap a side over with something else because she couldn't eat it, and the so called "lovely" waitress wouldn't let her. But if you want good service do not come here. If you like being treated like a dog then come here. If not, I suggest you find some other good cafe's in the central of marrickville.

In my life I have ventured into a myriad of establishments which have offered a service that fell well below what is even acceptable to a plebian, but nothing could have prepared me for the experience I was to have at Georgia's Kitchen on an unassuming Saturday autumn night. I found myself subjected to the kind of courtesy which can only be described as overbearing, rude and borderline megalomaniacal. Myself and my party were made to feel unwelcome and more of a burden to the host of the establishment than a paying customer. If you are the type of person who enjoys an extended period of romantic sitting while waiting (up to two hours) for food to be served, this is the place for you. If you enjoy paying $50 for what was essentially two servings of finger food instead of a wholesome meal course that could quench a hunger and warm the soul, this is the place for you. If you are the type of person who likes to have painstakingly loud music fill your ears to compensate for the lack of sustenance entering your stomach, then this is the place for you. If you like food that is pedestrian and at best would be enjoyed by people recovering from surgery, then this place is certainly for you.  Wouldn't recommend even to my worst enemies.

Appalling service. Attended a group function, charged $55 per head for seafood for a group of us and what was received, I thought initially was a joke. Then was told it was for 6 of us to share who had to pay an extra $10 for seafood. Fried chips, fried calamari and a few prawns. Very shocked. Left the restaurant in utter disappointed, not only because of the lack of quality food to cater for a group, but the customer service was shocking. Extremely rude. As well as waited from 7pm to 10pm and 40 people still wondering when mains will come out. A bit of salad and dips for 3 hours. Disgusting!! Do not waste your money there!!!

I came here for a function we paid $45 for a set menu. The waitress asked us to pay $10 extra for a seafood set menu. The 6 of us decided to pay, what we received was very disappointing. We were given a small Seafood PLATE to share amongst 6 people. The food was oily, everything was of a very small portion and the service was appalling. I would not return to this place and advise other to not go. If you are planning on booking a large function, they clearly do not have the skills or expertise to handle large amounts of people in their restaurant.

Absolutely appalling service and substandard food. I attended this establishment as part of a group booking of about 35 people. Initially, we were charged $45 a head. The waitress then came around and said those who wished for the seafood set menu would have to pay an extra $10. Six of us chose this menu and paid. After an extremely lackluster entree of Greek Salad and burnt bread and tasteless dip, we waited 2 and a half hours for the 'main' to come out. A single bowl of seafood was placed on the table, and we were told that each person should get 'one piece of prawn, one piece of calamari, and a piece of fish' (if you can call a small square fish). We couldn't believe it and surely thought a mistake was made. We attempted to talk to the manager who refused to speak to us and the waiter who did was extremely dismissive, rude and unapologetic. On top of that, about 15 minutes after, 2 more bowls of seafood were placed on each table. We were told these were for those who selected the 'meat menu'. Why on earth were six of us charged an extra $10 when seafood was already part of the set menu? My friends and I refused to eat on principle. The friend who did said the seafood was tasteless, soggy and felt ill afterwards. Those who ordered the meat menu also complained as their 'platters' (tiny plates meant to be shared between 6 people') had not come out by 10pm even though we had been there since 7pm. Overall, it was a terrible experience, for overpriced dribble, rude staff and warm tap water. You have no right to be charging your customers $45-$55 for tap water and terrible food. Will never come back and urge others to go elsewhere for quality food at a fair price.

Wonderful combination of modern and village Greek food. <br/><br/>We had a great experience at Georgia's kitchen. They serve fresh meals that are authentically Greek. Generous portions and good variety of options. Will please vegetarians and carnivores  alike.<br/><br/>Fantastic atmosphere, spacious yet ambient. Creative decor that has more of a modern vibe than a traditional Greek restaurant.<br/><br/>The staff here are amazing. Super attentive, professional and attentive.

Very lovely lamb shoulder and steak. Price was already very reasonable, I used my Groupon voucher and got a great discount for the proportion of food served. Excellent and definitely would recommend.

I like the food in Georgia's Kitchen. I've been here twice. Each dish comes with such a big amount, which was very nice. The waitress is a nice lady.

Just ate dinner, the black angus steak with mash..... it was sublime. I can only remember one other time i have eaten steak that good, and that was home cooked. We will definitely be coming back for more. <br/><br/>Edit.<br/><br/>Dined again last night, the food was once again just incredible. Sadly it was totally spoiled by the fact that it is literally impossible to get the attention of the waitresses, three times we waited over 10 minutes before being able to catch their attention, that cost them 2 wines, desserts and coffee. We left really disappointed and deflated. The worst service we have ever encountered, butts need to be kicked here, it was beginners stuff. We felt like they were doing everything they could to avoid looking in our direction. Just appalling. 4.5 stars for food. 0.5 stars for service. No chance of me going back, despite the fact the food is just fantastic.

I've been to Georgia's kitchen twice now, mostly because my experience the first time felt too good to be true. Each time I've been there it has been for the breakfast menu so I can't yet comment on lunch or dinner but I sure know their breakfast options are great. Each time the food and service has been fantastic, the wait time between ordering and receiving the drinks and food is probably my favourite thing about the experience. There's truly nothing worse than having to wait more than 15minutes for your breakfast! Staff are attentive and also accommodating, this morning we had a large group and wanted to sit outside which was a squeeze but the waitress was more than happy to do this. Another thing is that the food and drinks all come out well presented but simply, nothing overly fancy but still look great!<br/>Anyway I'd recommend Georgia's Kitchen to anyone wanting a well priced brunch with super fast service. I can't speak of this place highly enough!<br/><br/>I would personally recommend Georgia's Breakfast

Great tasty food. Priced reasonably for what you receive. Average service. Nice decor. Overall, I would recommend it but I wouldn't rave about it.

Large, homely and polished evening dishes are the latest addition to Marrickville's cafe and bar Georgia's Kitchen. The restaurant has a comfortable and family friendly vibe just out of the main strip (so lots of parking!) I had the fish of the day - a hearty Greek and Aussie fusion.

My favourite local restaurant. Always has great food, consistent flavour, and all round excellent presentation. Food that looks good and tastes great. Can't go wrong.<br/>Oh and every time I go the beautiful staff is so welcoming and friendly. <br/>The best part is the monthly taverna night. Thanks Georgia's Kitchen for such a fun night out.

Good vibes, great people, excellent coffee 💯

If you want unfriendly waitresses, coffee in a takeaway cup, low grade orange juice, lamb which could be used for shoe leather this is the place to go!<br/><br/>The place was not that crowded however my friend and I waited for over half an hour for our lunch today at 230 pm - definitely not peak time.<br/><br/>There was NO ATTEMPT by any member of heir team to ensure our experience was a positive one. Even the owner Georgia appears to have lost her smile.

The waitresses are quite rude here and the food was average. It's a nice place to come but it isn't nice to be ignored by staff and the food should have been nicer I was a bit disappointed but maybe the lunch would be nicer.

Prawn linguine is DELICIOUS. Georgia's is one of the best greek restaurants in the inner west - their food is traditional and absolutely yummy! Their prawn linguine and garlic bread with haloumi are to die for!<br/><br/>Only complaint is they're not open on Sundays and I keep forgetting...

Even more in Marrickville. Went here for breakfast early on a Sunday. It's a fairly big venue and the service was friendly. Had the eggs benedict with spinach and added on hash browns and the spicy sausage. The spicy sausage was great and not a tiny portion as you can get elsewhere. Overall was happy with the value for money and one to return to. I think there is some Greek influence on the food here.

\Just when you thought Marrickville couldn't any more awesome with its pork rolls, renovated pubs, Vietnamese phos and hipster cafes, I discovered yet another fantastic little cafe in this suburb! Located away from the main strip and close to Steel Park and opposite the Marrickville PCYC, what used to be a run down warehouse with broken windows and graffiti has now turned into a lively Mediterranean style cafe! Arriving at 11:15am we just caught the end of the breakfast menu (lunch starts at ~11:30). We ordered our much needed coffees before contemplated waiting for the lunch menu to begin. Although the lunch menu did have some delicious sounding food (Saganaki prawns anyone?!), being the impatient people that we are, we decided not to wait for the kitchen to switch over to lunch preparation and ordered from the breakfast menu. Although not a cheap breakfast menu, I didn't think the prices were not too exorbitant. The food was really yummy for breakfast and I'm usu

Entrees :- prawns saganaki PERFECT! Only thing is they give you a saucy entree with only a small amount of pita bread! Then you ask for more bread and charged $2!<br/>Main meal:- Steak - tough<br/>Linguine:- scallops over cooked and rubbery. Sauce very nice. <br/>Entrees at $18 and mains at $26-$29. Seems very expensive. For 2 people one entree and 2 mains we paid $100! <br/>Too expensive!
