Everything is good. Cozy and friendly staff.
Long time between visits which is probably why I am only reviewing 2204 now.
The coffee is smooth and mild. I usually prefer a more robust coffee yet it passed my two coffee test and I ordered a second piccolo.
Hubs got the French toast which comes with crispy bacon and maple syrup. He thought it was a little light on syrup and was given extra.
I had the Baked Huevos Rancheros. Really delicious and a decent amount of tortilla to spread the baked goodness on.
WOW! What an amazing cafe who aren't stingy with their servings. We ordered the healthy hazard and chicken burger and our fungry stomachs were satisfied. The fresh juices are also a must!

Amazing food and staff, Rad vibe, menu changes so that there is always something new happening and the staff are totally cool with you making it up as you go. It's a tiny slice of Brooklyn in the inner west and the courtyard out the back is awesome on a sunny day. 10/10
2204 is a cafe by day, bar by night. The decor exudes warmth; with walls pared back to reveal stunning brickwork and comfy leather chairs to recline on as you lift your coffee off the rustic wooden tables. A blackboard menu showcases the food, which was sold to us by the waitress' friendly smile.

Fantastic cafe. Amazing coffee, really nutty and rich. Lunch menu particularly strong - especially the lamb salad. Service is very good.
If possible go during the week. At the weekend they seem to get a bit over run and the standards drop. But when ive been during the week ive never been dissapointed. Great coffee, smooth silky milk and a robust sweet coffee bean. Great, fun and cheerful staff, nicely presented and generouly sized meals and the venue has a beautiful quirky charm. I keep going back.

"Great coffee and service at Cafe 2204". Wow! that's all i can say. My first time there was about one month ago , went in on a saturday it was quiet busy but the vibe was great: the music/food ,staff, coffee was probley one of the best i have had in awhile! it took awhile for the coffee to be made but overall it was such a cool place to have my saturday breaky. The staff were very polite and even the owners wife was working she served me and was so down to earth and easy on the eye, such a lovley lady to talk to. Will defentley be returning when im in the area next time. Amust visit cafe in Marrickville!
Had takeaway coffee. Was excellent. Beautiful shot and silky milk. Very impressed. Will be my go-to spot in Marrickville. Fresh warm muffins looked amazing and friend said breakfast was great too. Cafe itself had character and charm, trendy and comfortable. Great vibe. Highly recommend (coming from a sefl-proffessed coffee snob)
Have found my new favourite cafe in the inner west. I have been waiting a long for a place with a good vibe and above all great coffee. 2204 delivers on both fronts. They are using mecca coffee and have not had a bad coffee to date. The interior is different to any I have seen and the exposed walls really add to the vibe. Ahhh I have finally found a place to have a great coffee in a chilled relaxed environment.

An inner west gem. Friendly staff and good selection on the menu. Don't forget to check the specials. Coffee is top notch and worth a second cup.
Great service and such a nice place to come and relax. My fav cafe in the inner west to relax in the back courtyard when the sun is out.
Great coffee, and the smashed avo with quinoa and pesto was great. Downside if you aren't eating in coffees can be slow.

Have been coming to Cafe 2204 for years and I've never been disappointed. Best coffee in Marrickville (no joke!) and the food is always tasty and cooked well. Always smiling and friendly staff gives this place a great atmosphere too, as well as the courtyard out the back which you're welcome to sit in plus it's dog friendly!
Shame other places have popped up in the immediate area which people seem to flock to...no one does coffee as good as Cafe 2204!
