Friendly staff and quick service! The pancakes were amazing! 🤤

We enjoyed our breakfast here. Menu is a little limited. But the food and coffee are great.

Tried giving this place a second chance since it's face lift but nothing has changed. I thought coffee would be safe as the last meal I ate there tasted bland and tainted and I wasn't going to push an upset tummy twice - but how on earth can an espresso taste burnt and bitter. No doubt the barista isn't cleaning out all the grains from the handle and shower screen after the previous pour. Atmosphere still cold and wait staff attention still needs improvement. Plenty of good places in Marrickville with friendlier customer service, better prices and better choices.

I live locally so would like to support this cafe but, after a few visits, I don't think I'll be back. Just had avocado on toast and a coffee. The coffee was fine but the thin smear of avocado on the toast was disappointing. This, in itself, I could handle but the avocado was clearly on the turn and had already started to go brown in colour. It was also speckled with black bits of avocado. I thought these, at least, could have been removed - perhaps this was their last avocado. I'm not sure but I would be embarrassed to serve this up at home - let alone a cafe.

Loved it. Food was great (although only got something small) and coffee was phenom. Batista can only be described as incredibly sexy. His coffee was just what I needed. Will be back.

I am now a regular, good food, menu a little small but very well done. Cant wait until they open at night with their wine bar. especially now Forage has closed.

Unfortunately this place gets worse every time I go. The food used to be great and the service was poor now even the food had gone downhill.

Best coffee in Marrickville and the yummiest food.

The Marrick always has an energetic vibe on the weekend as it is abuzz with cyclists after their morning ride on the weekend. The staff are friendly and quick to take your order. I had the breakfast granola which is a bed of warm seasonal fruits with crunchy coconut granola on top. It was sweeter than I was hoping for however really love rhubarb and apple so was quite happy with what I got. I have also has the raisin toast which is great if your going for something simple in the morning.

Perfect to sit outside on a nice warm day. Easy to navigate menu and affordable prices.

We ordered the oatmeal which came topped with fruits but the oats itself were a tad too sweet for our liking. The vegan bowl was super delicious but didn't feel hearty but perhaps that's just me eating a lot. Would go back but consider ordering more to share to fill up the belly!

Small but SUPERB menu of superfresh food. Spanish Eggs with ranchero sauce is a firm favorite. Coffee is great too. Breakfast at the windows is a treat for the eyes as well as tastebuds.

Popped in before heading to the Organic Markets at Marrickville and it was pretty decent.

The coffee using Sample Coffee Roasters Beans was smooth yet robust.

I got the smashed avo which was delicious. Hubs got scrambled eggs with chorizo (mild for those who prefer a non spicy chorizo) and perfectly cooked haloumi.

This is my favourite place in Marrickville - great food and the best coffee I have had since I left Melbourne. Today I had the Gravlax on rye with a poached egg, capers and horseradish cream. Other favourites are the cauliflower salad and the haloumi stack. My teenage kids love the burger and the bacon and egg roll, and my son goes a bit crazy over the southern fried chicken.

The 'Spanish Eggs' platter for breakfast are insanely yummy ! A soft pita bread covered in tomato puree with herbs, eggs your way and a side order of BACON ! With a smooth yet robust coffee blend on the side - Just a great way to start the weekend. The owner's friends are creatives so most of the artwork is for sale too - JFGH

Love the new interiors - very bright and open. Menu isn't bad - most of your breakfast staples with a couple of interesting extras (Spanish Eggs looked great, regretted not ordering them!). Service wasn't too bad, felt like they were in a huge rush to get our orders and to get us out though. Will happily visit again to try some more of the lunch and breakfast options

Appears to be under change of management. Still dark inside and looks dirty. Staff leave a lot to be desired - could do with customer service training. Coffee inconsistent in quality, food typical for Marrickville the usual all day breakfast but quality inconsistent, service either non existent or slow when busy, food comes out almost cold, no decent meals and sandwiches are over priced and nothing special. Skip the wine list and go somewhere where the selection is better. Much better value and quality and better/friendlier service elsewhere in Marrickville

I have been here a number of times recently but it appears to have undergone a management and owner change very recently and there has also been a change in the interior set-up and menu. The café also incorporates a bar now.

Most recently I’ve had a simple sandwich which tasted nice and simple and also seemed to be healthy. The coffee was also quite good with a nice piece of decorative artwork on top. The interior is now bright and simply styled.

The service was alright but honestly not as warm or friendly as in some cafés in the region.

Decent basic cafe that punches well above its weight - some good menu options, and nice, freshly prepared food. It's not one of your upmarket hipster cafes, but sometimes that's a good thing...

Good food, friendly service, decent coffee. My only complaint is the food can be a bit slow to come out when they are busy. The Apollo breakfast is solid.

Great coffee and great veg and vegan options. I have taken a lot of friends here and everyone is always impressed. My roommates and I are regulars.

I had the best burger I'd ever had. Try the crumbed chicken burger. I was scared it would be a chicken schnitzel fillett but it's not. It's very fresh with beautiful flavours. The honey chai frappe drink was also amazing. Just a little cafe with a lot to offer apparently. My sister had the corn fritters and said they were fantastic.

Great food, nice coffee.. Tried this place today after rock climbing nearby.
I had a smoked salmon and mushroom omlette with cheese and spinach, very well done, nice quality ingredients and served with amazing sourdough bread.
My boyfriend had a chicken sandwich with smashed avocado and chorizo, also on very nice bread and well put together.
The food came quickly.
My piccolo latte was nice and smooth and the interior of the cafe is very nice with some hand made darkwood furniture and the like.
The staff were very friendly and gave us some fig and walnut sourdough to take home and try.
Definitely recommend, we will be visiting again! :)
