Review Mkb Korean Bbq - Marrickville

Small but I loved it there, good food and good value. Just a slight mix up on bill and corkage but were a big group and they sorted it out right away. Definitely keen to go again Big bonus they kept checking coals and didn't time us

The staff were very cheerful and sweet. Service was great and the food was to die for. Had a very happy, friendly atmosphere. It was a beautiful place to dine, and had really good, new and popular Korean pop tunes constantly playing! Overall great experience!

Awesome interior decor, very modern and funky. You pay per person and then take what you want from the fridges and cook it up at your table, very fun to do with friends. Would definitely recommend this do anyone looking for a good Korean BBQ in Sydney.

Super friendly staff, but the restaurant is still finding its feet. Its an all you can eat buffet type of deal with a good selection of meats and sides. Wasn't too blown away with the quality of the meats unfortunately. No Bulgogi which was a real bummer. BYO everything which is a nice change. Al fresco dining option which is great on these hot nights. Recommended.

Wife and I always eat here. Good options and very affordable for $30 per head and eat all you can. I just wish their fried chicken were fresh all the time and a little more effort on the deserts.

DON'T GO THERE. very slow coals, which hardly cooked anything. All the raw stuff took about 30 mins to be edible. Then we were given a-2-hour limit at an all-you-can-eat buffet? Very sneaky. There's not much selection left and it was never top up. The leftover meat were mainly bones and fat, whether it's chicken, pork or beef. Not much selection either at the cooked food section, other than kimchi, raw mushrooms and a tray of fried chicken wings. To pay almost $180, just to eat fried chicken wings and a few pieces of slow-cooked bbq pieces? We felt really ripped off. Having friendly staff doesn't make up for lack of quality. It's such a shame as it has so much potential being the only Korean restaurant in Marrickville. I'm a local and I'm definitely not going back. Rather hop on the train and travel to Campsie (3 stops) and have an amazing Korean BBQ experience at any of the Korean restaurants there.

Sorry to say that this was likely the worst dinner I've ever had. The meat was frozen, and was essentially offcuts. There were no good cuts of meat, just bony fatty pieces. The rice was solid (I was able to cut it with a knife). For $35 I'm looking for a lot higher quality ingredients.

Nice little place to go if you want a change from the usual Marrickville fare. Not the biggest range in selections but still enjoyable. Eat as much or as little as you like with a toasted marshmallow or 2 at the end. Winning!

I can't recommend this restaurant, my wife suffered food poisoning after eating there, maybe she didn't cook the food enough as other comments say coals weren't hot enough, but spent an unpleasant night with her throwing up all night then off to RPA for 8 hours the next day where they put her on a drip, 'luck of the draw?" I wouldn't risk it

I've been to many Korean BBQ places in the past and I think it's safe to say that this was the worst place I have ever eaten at.

For $35 pp, I expected higher quality meats. The meats here are frozen and are mainly just bones and fats. There are very limited selections of meats, all of them marinated the same way and tasted very bland.

The salad bar barely had anything Korean, mostly Vietnamese salad options. I've came here to eat Korean not Vietnamese.

Very disappointed with my experience. I'd recommend you to go elsewhere and save your money.

Pretty nice food. Good selection that you can cook over charcoal. Many places don't use charcoal now and uses gas. 2hour time limit but they don't enforce it??!! We stayed there for at least 2.5 to 3hrs and just drunk their selection of soju. It's a nice place to hang out and eat with friends! Nice atmosphere and music. Selection includes kimchi chives eggplants radish and more. Meats include chicken pork seafood beef bulgogi mostly all marinated which was good because I hate having none marinated meats, I can do that at home!!! And also desserts at the end. Toward the end of the night the kitchen closes at 930pm ?? But we just asked for more and they bought it out for us which was great :))

It was a really fun experience with my friends this evening. The selection was large and every item had a unique taste and variation. I would definitely come back!

Really exquisite range of pork, beef and chicken dishes to be had here, my favourite is definitely the bulgogi. Great range of side dishes which is to be expected also. Two hours here will leave you wanting more. 10/10 would eat here again !!

I want Vietnamese and so we headed to Marrickville. When we got to the restaurant it was packed and already had a lot of people waiting. So we wandered around looking for a place with outside tables.

We came to the BBQ place and decided to eat. $35 per head all you can eat in two hours. The service is good and the staff are friendly.

It would be a great place with a large group. Wednesday and Thursday night is prawn nights.

Kpop on the large TV. They have done a good job with the ventilation (I worked in mechanical services for a while). The person who had the best time ever was Cobalt. We overtly gave him tidbits. It's was wrong but those black eyes were welling with tears.
