Review Newmarket Hotel - Mascot

Very tasty food. Pizza was delicious and I had one of the best lasagne perfectly done with a bit of crispy parts on the edges. It cane with a very fresh, beautifully dressed salad. Also got to try my friends chips, so definitely will order some chips next time. Service was good considering how busy they were when we got there. Reasonably fast service. Loved the outdoor area. Very nice to be there on a nice sunny day.

After the renovation, definitely this place lifted up the game and really wish I could rate five stars. Almost every thing is perfect, the foods are fantastic, staff members were friendly too. The major downside is the male wash room is very congested and wasn't regularly cleaned at all. Perhaps they could renovate the wash room next. Otherwise fantastic food, great atmosphere as a true suburban pub šŸ˜€ šŸ‘Œ šŸ‘ šŸ˜‹

A good local pub. Attended here with a big group of friends after going bowling upstairs. The staff were very friendly and service was quick despite the pub being quite busy due to a sports match. Got dinner as part of a package for me and my friends, including drinks and food and bowling. All the meals came out as ordered with no issues, meals were delicious.

Not your ordinary hotel meal. So tasty! Good presentation! Cool vibes!

Large spacious venue, great for children, families and the outdoor beer garden is pet friendly. The food is fantastic too, weekly specials plus an extensive menu and some of the best wood fired pizzas in the area ensures there is something for everyone. Sports fans will be happy with all sports covered in many large screens throughout the venue. Great specials for members too. Highly recommended.

Large hotel with both indoor and outdoor seating, heaps of space, can book for larger groups. The positives: lots of space and they have Stone & Wood Pacific Ale on tap. Negatives: can be very crowded meaning slow service. We ordered 3 things: calamari, chicken wings and chef's special prawns. Calamari was ok but didn't like the sauce on wings and they were dry. Also - they forgot about the prawns so after 30 minutes ofnwaiting we requested a refund.

Nice environment here, the food is really good. They've upgraded the menu a bit, closer to fine dining than just a pub with the usual food. Definitely recommended a visit!!

Always here for the drinks but the food today was disappointing. Got soggy schnitzel and undercooked chips. Asked the staff to recook it then but still a bit raw after recooked. See photo. Pizza I tried 3 years ago was soggy too. I'll stick to drinks.

Wings were great with the blue cheese dip. Pizza was a bit salty and the French onion soup was extra salty. Pizza kitchen stays open until late, which is a bonus.

The Newmarket is very popular at lunchtime, no doubt due to the large and attractive astroturfed beer garden, where you can watch planes departing from the third runway bank directly overhead, as well as the good $15 weekday lunch menu.Ā The pizzas are traditional style and very tasty.Ā Outside of the lunch special, the pizzas are still worth the price, although the rest of the menu is fairly standard pub food that seems a bit expensive outside of lunch.

Food looks basic but donā€™t let that fool you because itā€™s still worth it. Thereā€™s so many aspects so this pub and the outdoor beer garden is great or thereā€™s an also an inside bistro if you want something quite and bit more formal.

My office is 4 minutes walk from there, so I go there quite a lot. The $15 lunch deals are the perfect pub meal. I've had the steaks and I have to say the pizza is perfectly Italian which their wood-fire oven and the Italian crew making them.Ā One of my staff members had never had Italian pizza, I took him there and he loved it. Happy to have a great pub around the corner.

Great local place to eat with good pub food and good vibes! :)

Cheap drinks and a wide selection of food to choose from. Parking may be an issue as there is a bowling club beside it so best bet is to park on the street!

Headed to Newmarket for a late Sunday lunch. Very expansive food menu with something for everyone. Lamb and watermelon salad was interesting and topped with crushed Doritos. Service is friendly and great location to main sport events to watch on tv. Based on what everyone else was ordering, looks like pizza or steaks are the go.

A good pub bistro. I had the steak medium, and it came just as I ordered. My mate's fish and chips were not as he had hoped, but my brother's burger was good. They have a specials board as well as all the regulars. Meals are well priced, food is decent, what more do you want in a pub bistro?

I ordered the risotto with truffles, oyster mushrooms and leek from the specials menu for $28. It tasted like gruel. Out of a group of ten people not one person on our table had a particularly great food experience....although most fared better than I. Atmosphere was strange. Surprisingly busy considering the terrible food. Some sort of sports game was being
projected on every available wall. Won't go back.

The service at the Newmarket is always amazing. Great serving sizes and the wood fire pizzas are excellent every time. Great atmosphere and fun place to come for a drink/ dinner with family and friends.

One of the best steaks I've had in a while. Medium rare cooked to perfection. Great local with some terrific food. Will have to have a beer with that next time!!

There's a lot to say about the Newmarket! The service is brilliant which I am sure this is due to the hands on management by the owners. They are always there setting a stellar example for their team. The food is great. Generous portions and of a consistent quality. Their steak got voted one of the best under $30 in Sydney and you can see why. They have an action packed entertainment schedule... Lots of sport played on massive screens. The Newmarket is also home to the best trivia in Sydney. Great local pub.

The menu wonā€™t win any awards but thatā€™s the beauty of it. Schnitzel, pizza, steak; even your typical deep-fried kids menu.

Live Sports Venue. I enjoy UFC and the Newmarket is a great venue to watch all the live events. Both the beer garden and the bar area are good depending on the weather.
The food is excellent value with heaps of specials to cover any taste.
Beer on tap - good selection and also have one cider on tap.
Parking at the back car park is good if you come early - but there is usually lots of parking around the area.
On fight days come early to get a good seat.
Cheers!

AWESOME PUB FOOD. Delicious T-Bone steak & Jager stitzels ! 8/10. This is the one place that never fails me when i feel like a non-pretentious steak and snitzel or when I have no particular idea of what i want to eat. Their t-bone steak and jager stitzels are awesome though. I always come back for the same thing. It has great flavour and is always perfectly cooked. Medium rare comes out medium rare! They also have many other specials that change often and always sound interesting like pork crackling dishes, duck with orange salads to spatchcocks and ragu! The cooks there are so charming, they are always smiling and so polite when you go to collect your food. Service is good too, theres plenty of tv screens so you can watch either nfl or afl (or both!) Beers on tap, outdoor area with another massive screen there aswell.

One of sydneys gems i reckon. Give it a go you wont be dissapointed!

Great hotel and bistro but absolutely disgusting toilet facilities!

Really enjoyed the food here, definitely restaurant quality. And they have some great beers on tap - normal local beers, some special smaller brewery beers and also a few German beers too. Loved it!

Huge menu, friendly chatty staff, fast service and great venue. Loved the outside area. The portions will leave ur tummy full and the prices won't drain ur wallet.

Hmmm.......... The food is average at best, my gnocchi, my friend counted 9 pieces! It was ok but my lamb skewers, Yes they were entree size but it looked like deep fried chicken kebab sticks! It's pub prices, reasonable.

Its a pub with a dining area, nothing special. Nil issues with service.
The other thing I noticed is that if you go to bowling next door, its the same menu so looks like if u dont like the pub atmosphere you can eat at......the bowling alley!!
