Review Lucca Cafe Espresso Bar - Mascot

Went for a late lunch. The surrounding offices had devoured the regular lunch-goers again and I had it all to myself. Judging from the counters there is a broad variation of dishes available. Sandwiches. Salads. Breakfast. Probably nothing missing. Except maybe ambience. It is not cosy. Efficient maybe. Steal and glass. I had a Greek Salad. Not impressed... Outdoors seating available.

Nice, fresh food. They do have a nice juice bar where they make your juice drink in front of you. Plenty of hot food and a large sandwich bar selection that's made fresh while you wait. Overall a good place to grab a sit down or takeaway lunch.

We had lunch here whilst having a one night stay over in Sydney last week. The food was great and very reasonably priced. Thoroughly recommend this place to anyone looking for a good choice of food and not wanting to pay too much. Can eat in or take-away. Is obviously very popular with the local workers, saw lots piling in while we were eating our lunches. Very clean and tidy with friendly staff.

Bought a Chai Latte and Orange and Poppy Seed muffin.... Chai Latte wasn't even warm let alone hot. It was this weird lukewarm temperature and insanely watered down. I could barely taste the chai. The muffin was weird too. It was an indescribable texture and strangely chewy. Overall I personally won't be going back there.

Reasonable service - slow but friendly. Food quality was very poor, the cook used far too much oil and salt leaving everything tasting greasy and unpleasant. The price was reasonable

To the owner, please be aware of serving old lasagna on the display fridge. Bought one and the cheese and meat tasted sour. Quite disgusting.

Coffee is fairly good. Food servings are a decent size, cheap and the cooked food is somewhat tasteless and greasy. Service is OK.

Value for money, there burgers, lasagna salads and other lunch daily spiecals are all amazing. Only discovered this cafe because i use the gym across the road, my only sadness is its closed on weekends.

Perfect place to grab coffee, sandwich fix or salads as early as 6am! The staff will welcome you with warmth, too. Got my flat white fix and a ham & cheese croissant and it was perfect. Accessible location as they were situated at the corner of Coward and Bourke St. I just wished I had visited this place sooner!

What an awesome little discovery, right on coward street a short 3 minute walk from mascot station, it's only open on weekdays but the value for money is worth it, food is pretty good and so is the coffee.

I have visited Lucca's for lunch with colleagues. They have a huge selection on offer to cater for all. They have five or so different salads available, sandwiches and burgers made to order, nori rolls, fresh juices, cakes, quiches & pies, hot lunches and coffee. I find it more canteen style than cafe though. <br/><br/>They are reasonably well priced being able to get a salad for under $10. The place is usually packed midweek for lunch, however speed is one of their strong points, as is the lovely staff. I love their fresh juices.

Best food, service and variety! Wish this place was in Melbourne! Thanks for consistent yummy food makes trips to Sydney easier!

Not gonna to come back. Lucca is the nearist cafe of my work place, I order a caecer tuna salad there, couldnt eat even the second bite, old bacon, chip inside?? I understand why it is cheap price as people said now.. End up walk to the cafe on the other site of Qantas building ( Aero building, i think), it took me 3 mins walk but it worth, fresh and huge choice of salad for 9.50$. After enjoy the salad there, I dont think it is expensive anymore. Be careful if you got the cheap price, guys. I love to walk, and i have to if I want a good lunch now.

Excellent!!!! I absolutely love this cafe. It's my favourite lunch-time spot. I work just around the corner and its the only cafe worth going to in mascot. They have a great variety in fresh salads that change daily. Coffee is of a high quality and they always remember my name and order. Fantastic service! Keep up the good work Lucca.

Lucca's Cafe. Terrible food / Worse Service.<br/>Went there yesterday after a colleague has a roast beef sandwich which looked and smelt great. To be fair I went fairly late - after 1pm. They gave me what was left of the roast beef. Tough gristly meat. I threw away nearly all of it. I wouldn't feed that to a dog.<br/>Decided to give them another chance today. Was very crowded but I got served straight away. I ordered a simple hamburger and was still waiting 20 minutes later. People that came in after me and ordered had their food. It should not take that long to make a hamburger. Most people only get a 30 min lunch break.<br/>The service is atrocious, and when I complained they went to check what was taking so long (I am sure the order was probably never put in) and a staff member said soon. Later they went to check again and I glimpsed the floor of their kitchen. Disgusting! Finally I asked again and they said it would be ready in a minute - 20 minutes after I ordered. I gave up, asked for my money back and never intend to visit them again until they change management or owners.<br/>I then went to subway and was in and out in 5 minutess.
