Review Bistro 2020 - Mascot

Found my way here due to one of those 'promotions' and a nagging stomach. The food was ok but the service, while very friendly, was extremely haphazard. Card readers didn't work, beer was forgotten (It was a three item order), provided with one of those buzzy 'come and get your order' things but my 'bacon and egg panini' was yelled across the cafe anyway. So three trips to the bar! Coffee, panini and chase up the šŸ». Not much for $37.00, not relaxing but then again it is Sydney airport...

Service was friendly, the menu is a bit overpriced but not too bad for an airport. The portion size for the eggs Florentine is small for the price ($21), the big breakfast is more worth it ($22). Coffee is ok.

Stopped off here for a drink before my flight. Nothing too special, good service and efficient, but just ended up standing at the bar since it was pretty busy and not many places to sit.

Don't waste your time here if you're a lounge key member, they won't honour their deal. To manager: Fix your eftpos machine or get out from lounge key app, If your eftpos machine isn't working and if it often doesn't work with valid cards then rectify the issue.

Breakfast was really superb at 7:30am in the morning for my group and I for our 8:50am flight. Service by Natalie and Mihin is great as well. Great view of the Virgin Australia runaway port as well. We had the Big Breakfast, Eggs Florentine, and Eggs your way! All 3 were all top notch, as sourdough were fresh and toasted, eggs were cooked to perfection. Meat eaters go for big breakfast, and vegetarians aim for the Eggs Florentine! Highly recommend it!

The Wagyu beef burger at Bistro 2020 is intensely packed with flavor. The meat cooked right to perfection and is juicy-ly tender. The prices are reasonable and the wait times are not too bad. I found the chips to be too much in terms of the amount to burger ratio, but served as a perfect accompaniment overall. Such a treat for those arriving or departing at the airport!

A long day and sitting with colleagues we had to have a beer to celebrate our achievements. This place was so busy but managed to score a table and chairs. $11 for a scooner of Pure Blonde. Good choice of fast food on offer but we didnā€™t try anything. Well worth a visit and in need of a nice place to sit and watch the comings and goings of the planes. Also, right opposite the food court. Staff were friendly. Wheelchair friendly. Kid friendly.

The Best Big Breakfast that I can remember having. Most have just one little piece of each item. This came with two eggs, two large pieces of today, plenty of bacon hash brown, tomatoe, a sausage and nicely grilled mushrooms. For $21 Aussie at an airport pretty good.

Had such a terrible and sad looking meal here. The poached eggs were over cooked, rubbery and the toast was burnt! The only highlight was the tomatoes and the hash brown.

Stopped by this pub/bistro at the Terminal 2 at Sydney Airport for some dinner before getting on my flight. Service is pretty good. Order at the counter, make payment and get a buzzer to collect it when ready.

The prices are your typical airport and higher priced than your normal city/suburb equivalents. I had a Caramelised Garlic Bread and Chicken Pesto Pasta Linguine. The bread had a slight garlic flavour to it but not that much. It was nicely crunchy though. The pasta had a decent flavour to it with smatterings of mushrooms, chicken, and semi dried tomatoes in it. It was a tad oily for my liking though. The food didn't take them too long to make which is good if you're limited on time.

Worst chicken parma anyone has ever had. Ā Not chicken breast at all... just a dirty big processed chicken nugget with barely any taste, oily and thick crumbed. No actual parma ham or napolitana sauce on the 'chicken'. It looked suspiciously like a heart-shaped schnitzel from Coles deli :( Ā Chips were dry, salad okay. Think road-side service-station diner quality... the best thing about this $23 meal was the extra $5 for the small bottle of Schweppes mineral water! #FWP

Breakfast was great. Well cooked eggs and bacon with beautiful sourdough toast and a cup of tea. Looking out the window at the planes. Gorgeous. Until I realised the amount of bugs crawling around the bench. Killed one. Saw another. Baby cockroaches. Gorgeous little things. Took photos. At least clean up the dead ones! Didn't finish my breakfast. Never going back

B I S T R O ā˜† B A R ā˜† 2020
Absolutely revolting food at ridiculous prices. We ordered the chicken parma which tasted like it was made from tasteless plastic cheese and cheap tomato sauce. You're better off going to Macdonalds. āœŒ @foodiesguidetosydney

Nasty cheap food marketed at high end restaurant prices. Stay away from here unless you just want a drink.
